Displaying the % sign (dynamically - conditional formatting?)

Hi.
I have a report that consists of 2 columns:
First column (A) is a STRING data type, second column (B) is a NUMBER data type.
Based on the value in column A, I want to be able to choose whether or not to display the % sign in column B.
I am using CR XI.
It is important that the column B remain a NUMBER field since the report will be exported to Excel and my users want numbers and not TEXT.
I have been able to play with the fconditional ormatting to get diferent decimal places to show up, but have been unable to get a % sign to display.
Basically - I want to say something like:
If column A = "something", format columnB with a % sign.
Help?

Or, you can right-click the second field and select Format Field, go to the Common tab, and click on the X+2 icon next to Display String. In this formula write something like (basic syntax):
formula = cstr({b}) + iif({a}="Percent", "%", "")
This formula needs to return a string value that is exactly what you want displayed for the field. In the formula above, if field A is "Percent", the formula appends a percent sign...

It is hardly Apple's fault that Epson can't/won't update their driver, but at least Epson suggest that you use the Gutenprint driver, which in any case is far better that what Epson offer.

So your old version doesn't support Regular expression. It will be very easy and efficient if you could use regular expression.

in my program : Line size of the report is 255 in PDF it is splitting into 2 lines. it has to show in a single line. how to do it. how to reduce the width of the output? i am sending my code below. anybody can suggest me how to do it. if possible please send me the code.

How to display the data in PDF format

hi all,
i will give input in my selection screen and i will execute my report then it has to display data in PDF file in some directory (like c or d directory). i refered existingthreads . most of then saying using spool req we can download pdf file i.e. not my requirement. my requirement is when i click on execute button it has to display the data in pdf file with headings.

How to display the rows dynamically in the table display in web dynpro abap

Hi experts,
There is a visible row count tab where you can give the no of rows to be displayed in the output table, but i want it to be done dynamically as the row count of my table may change dynamically at runtime.
And i want to know how to reduce the width of a column as my table display is taking the length as per the binded table specifications.Can anyone please help me out in this issue.

You can bind the visiblerowcount property to the a context attribute. and at runtime you can set the context attribute to the no of rows you want in your table,

I have developed a OAF Page and it has one table region and has 5 rows on it.One of the field on the table is Message Choice.
The requirement is,If I select "Parts" then Lov Field should be displayed and If I select "Services" then one text field should be appear on that perticular table row.
I have created a PPR on Message Choice and done the coding as follows,but it is not working;

Problem is displaying the output in required format

I have a structure defined in DDIC in which i have a field REMAIN -this fied is to show Remaining numbers in a range, I have given the type of the field as NUMC and I get the value caluclated in a field W_REM which is of type C,now I pass this W_REM to the DDIC struture and use ALV to display on screen, it gets displayed as 004879 but i want it to be displayed as 4,879 ..tried to give DEC in DDIC but it didnot work..what to give....Please help..its urgent!

How to display the link dynamically on placing the cursor on a field?

I have a requirement like, if i place the cursor on the prospect name in the details window of opportunity, prospects' email id should appear as a link. (Example: as tool tip appears when we place cursor on a field). I should be able to click on that email id to navigate from opportunity window to compose mail window.
How can I achieve this functionality?

It's an interesting question.
And I plan to write blog or wiki post on it.
But right now out of time to design it in a beautiful big-post-style.
So I'll just give you some ideas and later I'll publish detail scenario for this.
1. First of all you need to put a javascript function in your view htm page and include jquery and cluetip in it too as described in mentioned blog.
2. Then you need to create your own bsp element (tag) which will create a link with attributes onmouseover and rel since there is no standard element with such attributes. For this create your own bsp extension and copy bsp element Link from THTMLB bsp extension into it (enharite classes from thtmlb:link too). Then add two attributes 'rel' and 'onmouseover' to z-element and redefine DO_AT_BEGINNING method of element handler class:

3. Then you need to implement chtmlb form iterator interface in some class. Good place is your view controller class. Put the IF_CHTMLB_FORM_ITERATOR on its interface tab. And implement the only method it has IF_CHTMLB_FORM_ITERATOR~RENDER_CELL_START (remember that this is a quick example so you need to adjust the code to your needs):

     In smartforms I'm trying to print some negative values, but the negative sign is displayed on the right hand side of the number.
How can I display the '-' sign on the left hand side of a number. I tried the logic &value(<), it works well in sap scripts. Why is it not working in smartforms ?

How to display the Option Key / Apple Key / Shift Key sign in a Text Layer

Hello everyone,
I will be doing some ScreenCasts on some application very soon, and already did my captures / sounds. Now I would like to use motion to display a kind of 'Lower Third' to display KeyBoard shortcuts which correspond to some actions.
This will probably sound dumb, but I'm wondering how I could display the sign for the Shift / Option / Apple and other special keys on the apple keyboard in a Text Layer. It's probably something easy, but being rather new to the Apple scene, I have no idea how to achieve that.

Among the things you'll learn from the User Guide:
Conditional formatting can be used to change the style of the text in a cell and/or the fill colour of the cell.
A formula may be used to set the value in a cell. In both cases, the format rule or the formula affects only the cell to which the rule is attached or which contains the formula. Neither values or formats may be 'pushed' onto another cell.

Dynamically display the time in a movie

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to display the time dynamically in a movie in Final Cut Pro. For example, I would like to display the date and time in the upper left corner of the movie with the time changing by hour:min:sec and maybe even frame as the movie plays. On a separate track or something.
I am new to this so I don't know if I need special software or if I can do it in FCP.

There's a Generator called Timecode Generator, or Timecode Reader. Generator creates new TC, Reader reads it from the clip. But it only shows hours, minutes, seconds, not the calendar date. To display calendar date and clock time, you'll have to create a counter from scratch.

Conditional Formating - Place Image above or below text

Hi
In OBIEE 10G I can display any images in conditional formating. But the image placement is reduced to "left", "right", "image only". Does's anybody has any idea how to place the images below or above the text?
Any help is appreciated.

If you knew the Cascading Style SHeet (CSS) elements that produced the HTML output placing the image to the left or right then you could modify or format the values using the CSS option of "format values..." from the column's context menu to increase the padding or create a break.
Otherwise there is no way to accomplish this from the basic front-end options.
