Conditional Formating - Place Image above or below text

Hi
In OBIEE 10G I can display any images in conditional formating. But the image placement is reduced to "left", "right", "image only". Does's anybody has any idea how to place the images below or above the text?
Any help is appreciated.
Thank you

User,
If you knew the Cascading Style SHeet (CSS) elements that produced the HTML output placing the image to the left or right then you could modify or format the values using the CSS option of "format values..." from the column's context menu to increase the padding or create a break.
Otherwise there is no way to accomplish this from the basic front-end options.
Cheers,
Christian

  • How to make & place marks above and below text

I need to make dots and curves (this is for a type of music notation) and place them over and under letters and groups of letters. Any suggestions for the best method in InDesign CS5?

You're right, I'm doing north Indian notation, not related to western staff. I laid out a whole lot in Word, foolishly, and now have to redo it all in ID for publication. I'm impressed that you have a
font for carnatic music. Here's a sample. 'S will have an overdot. There are underdots elsewhere.

  • Jquery zoom plugin that shows images above the zoomed image on mouse rollover

Hi all, after much effort and help from this forum I've managed to get a zoom effect to work on my image. It needed to be a loupe effect like this - http://www.dailycoding.com/Posts/imagelens__a_jquery_plugin_for_lens_effect_image_zooming. aspx
This is the plugin I've used.
Problem now is that I need images to appear above the image on mouse rollover. Currently - if I place images above this image and place my cursor over the image the zoom effect works but it ignores the images placed on top and just zooms in on the image shown below.
I would be very appreciative of anyone who can help me with this issue.
    Thanks.
I wondered if it was possible to stop the jquery zoom plugin working when I mouseover the image on top of the map. Maybe that would be a solution?

random guess- check that the name and/or ID of every item on
    the page is
    unique.

  • Conditional Formatting - to display text instead of Image

    Hi,
We have a requirement in a BI Finance Report wherein for an amount if it is NULL or 0 it needs to show '-' symbol.
Initially we placed a image in the Conditional Format Properties similar to that symbol, but it doesnt satisfy the requirement.
There are 35 metrics in 3 BI Reports each where we need to do this change. If we write a CASE statement, that will run for 30mins which will be a bad performance issue. So can we display a text instead of an Image using Conditional Formatting or any other way.
P.S. In one of the report, we have Union joins, so we cannot write a CASE statment for each metric in every report.
    Please give your inputs.
    Thanks in Advance

  • Above Average Conditional Formatting in Pivot Table off Row Total

I have a pivot table where the months are column labels and the actual issues are Row labels. This is inverted from a normal pivot table where the months are usually the row labels.
Basically I want the table to look at the value in the Values cells to look at the row Average instead of the column Average. Is there a way to do this?
I've highlighted all my Value cells (showing the sum of the issue for a specific month) and then applied the Above Average conditional formatting selecting 'All cells showing "Average of #of Tickets" values for "Issue" and "Month".
This works where the cells' value is greater than the columns average, but I want it to look at the row average instead.
Is this possible? I thought it be simple, but I can't figure it out. The table will grow every month width wise and possibly adding new issues each month.

Hi Vetsrini, thanks for the reply. I'm using the crosstab feature of BI Publisher template builder in MS Word to create the pivot table. I have a field called ACTIVITY as the row, and I want to bold the font and set the color as red if the ACTIVITY equals to certain text (such as if ACTIVITY = 'A' then bold & red). Can you please tell me how that can be achieved? I tried using the conditional formatting feature of the template builder, but it only works if I use it in a table, and not in pivot table.
    Thanks a lot.

  • Adding Text above and below cropped picture

I have a picture I want to use for iron on transfers.  I want to add text above and below the cropped image, and print out to a size that fits 8.5 X 11 injch transfer paper.  I am having a problem with adding the text.  I cant seem to be able to get it outside of the image.  How do I do this?

Crop your picture. The crop tool allows you to set size and resolution.  Go to Select>all, Edit>copy
Open new blank file. File>new>blank file. W=11", H=8.5". Resolution: as noted in step#1 Color:RGB  Background::white
Go to Edit>paste. Your picture will be on its own layer
Access the move tool. Grab one of the corner handles and hold down the shift key on the keyboard, then make the picture smaller by dragging the corner towards the center, leaving room at top and bottom
Access Horizontal type tool and type your text at top, then on bottom. You can position text with move tool. Again text is on new layers.
Since you will be printing, it is desirable to have the resolution 240-300px/in.

  • Conditional formatting / "Text is" applied to multiple values?

    Hello there,
Is there a way of making the "Text is" rule to apply to different values?
    Example:
    Text is: apples, oranges
    Return text color red
I keep asking myself if it's all synthax problem from my side… Should I use commas, apostrophes, etc.?
    Thanks!

    Mariana,
you can use a shader table and one other table to facilitate grouping words into the the same (or multiple) color(s).
In this image there are three tables.  The top left table contains your data.  In column A I entered some words.
In the second table (top right, and named "WordList") I entered a single entry for each word and what color I wanted the corresponding shading to be.  These are just words which I will match with conditional formatting.
The third table is the "shader" table.  In this table I apply the conditional formatting as shown.  Once the shader table is complete you can use the menu item "Arrange > Send to Back" then slide the table under the top left table.
The formula you can use in the shader table is (be sure you use the same table names):
    A1=IFERROR(VLOOKUP(Data :: A1, WordList :: A:B, 2, 0), "")
now select A1 and fill down as needed.
You can enter words and colors as needed in the "WordList" table

  • Is there a way to create a heading with shading behind the text and thin lines above and below?

    I'm working with InDesign CS6, Windows 7.
Is there a way, using paragraph rules, to create a heading with shading behind the text and thin lines above and below the text?
I'd like to create headings that look like these:
    Thank you!

I have a document where I almost do such, but without the fill. I use a Head Style which Spans Columns for this instance; it allows the haeds to flow and fill the width.
Paragraph Rules above and below are turned on with plenty of offset.
I tweaked my setting to accomodate your need - It required only one instance, not above and below, and changing the stroke to a double stroke.
It may be necessary to create a custom stroke to modify the proportion of stroke vs fill. There is a difference of thin-thin and  thick-thick, neither of which seemed perfect but might be dependent on the Character height.
Creating custom strokes is accomplished via the Strokes Panel.

    Hi
I need to place image in place of text in button i.e in place of button name i need to display image.

You'll need to use CSS floats.

         width:auto;
    HTML:
    <div class="floatLt">

Try validating your installed fonts and fixing any errors that show up. To do this see this article: http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-13727_7-20085570-263/safari-in-os-x-lion-replacing- text-with-block-a-characters/

  • Is it possible to apply conditional formatting to a cell (or range) based upon a LOOKUP query to cell values in another sheet.? I want to alter the formatting (i.e., text and/or cell background color), but not cell content.

Is it possible to apply conditional formatting to a cell (or range) based upon a LOOKUP query to cell values in another sheet.?
I want to alter the formatting (i.e., text and/or cell background color), but not the content, of the target cell(s).

    Hi Tom,
Your LOOKUP formula will return a value that it finds in the "other" table. That value can be used in conditional highlighting rules. (Numbers 3 calls it conditional highlighting, not conditional formatting. Just to keep us awake, I guess, but it works the same).
Please explain what you are trying to do.
    Regards,
    Ian.

  • Graphic/Image not displayed with conditional formatting in Report Designer

We are facing problems with displaying an image in a conditional formatting in the Report Designer. The image itself is in the mime repository and can be displayed in the report if no conditional formatting is used. But if it is used the image doesn't appear in the report.
    Backend setup: SP 8
Frontend setup: Patch 8, hotfix 2, Revision 95
    Any help is highly appreciated.

    Hi,
I could not reproduce your problem in internal SP8 system. Also images in rows with conditional formatting are displayed.
Do you get any errors after the execution in the portal?
Try to use exactly the same image in both rows (drag-and-drop with CTRL key pressed).
If then your problem still occurs, open a customer message. Describe your problem in detail and write technical name of the report you used.
    Regards, Karol
