Document currency in the COPA

Hi,
I'm modeling a cube for the COPA using the generated extractor. The COPA holds two currency types,
the op. concern currency (B0) and C.code currency(10). My users want also to see in their reports in document currency (transaction currency) is their a standard way do it? Do you think I should create another record for that or should I do it in the Bex?
Thanks,
Benny Katzburg

Hi,
CO-PA will only store values in either operating concern currency or company code currency (if active). The fields FRWAE and KURSF are just for the line item display in transaction KE24 when pressing 'entry/op currency'.  COPA does not store values in the document ccy.
The 'foreign currency' in the PA line item always contains the currency that was used for the conversion, but does not contain the document currency of the original document. So only in case the document currency was used for the translation of the PA values the foreign currency will  be equal document currency.
In case of SD documents, CO-PA always uses the document currency as base of the conversion in order to transfer values of statistic condition types consistently.
In case of FI/MM documents system uses the company code ccy as the base for conversion into operating concern ccy (foreign ccy).

  • 2LIS_02_SCL extractor is delivering wrong document currency amount

    Dear all,
We are currently trying to get the invoiced amount of a purchase order in the document currency (of the invoice). While extracting the Purchasing Orders via the 2LIS_02_SCL we discover that the invoiced amount in document currency (BWGEOO) is wrong (if document currency is not matching local currency). However the invoiced amount in local currency (BWGEO) is correct.
It seems that the BWGEOO is calculated from the local currency field by using the PO header exchange rate (EKKO-WKURS). If we take the exchange rate (RBKP-KURSF) from the invoice header and apply it on the extracted invoiced amount in local currency, we get the correct value.
    - Does anyone have some information how the extractor is working (which source table is taken into account)?
    - Why is the local currency matching and the document currency not?
    - Do you have experienced the same issue? Do you have any solution for this problem?
    Thank you.
    Regards,
        Michael

    Hi,
There are several Notes around this issue, but none of them is solving our problem:
    •     856004 Invoice value and GR value in extractor 2LIS_02_SCL
    •     838670 Net value for BWGEO and BWGEOO
    •     833209 BWGEO and BWGEOO values
The field BWGEOO is delivering a cost based value in document currency out of the PO. This means it is calculating it (quantity * net price). But we needed the actual invoiced amount out of FI.
We found a work-around for this “System Design” issue. We are going to extract the exchange rate out of the invoice header and apply it to the invoiced amount (REWERT) out of the 2LIS_02_SCL extractor.
    Logic to extract it is:
Join the “Document Header: Invoice Receipt” (RBKP) with the “Document Item: Incoming Invoice” (RSEG) on Invoice document number (BELNR) and Fiscal Year (GJAHR) key fields. Out of the Item table the purchase order document number (EBELN) and the PO item number (EBELP) can be derived. The exchange rates need to be loaded out of the header (KURSF).
Does anyone of you have additional documentation/information on how the LO extractors (e.g. 2LIS_02_SCL) are working and especially the details of the values (and the definition) out of the extractor?
    Thank you.

  • Invoice Document currency change

      Hi Everyone,
I want to change the document currency in the intercompany invoice.  Can this be done without user exit , Can this be done using the copycontrols ??
    Or
If userexit is the only option then please tell me the correct user exit for the same.
    Please help me .
    Regards

    This is the legal requirement
In that case, it is better to raise an OSS message and get confirmation from SAP that there is no standard way to achieve.  But in general, for all legal requirements, SAP are suppose to support.  So before doing any coding corrections, take the concurrence from SAP

  • Local currency/document currency

    Hi
I have a situation where local currency in GR=1000 & when IR is posted, the local currency changed to something else. Pls explain.
Also what is the difference between local currency & document currency?
    thanks.

    Hello
Local currency is the currency your system(business) is using.
eg: INR if your Co.code is in India.
Document currency is the currency in which the amount is maintained in the document.
eg: if your company code is in India and your purchasing from a vendor in USA, the document currency for a PO will be USD and the local currency will be INR.
    Hope it is clear.
In the case of MIRO if you gave the currency in the basic data screen, the amount will change proportionally to the exchange rates maintained in OB08.

  • Sales document currency

    Hi Guys,
I am facing this peculiar condition where even after maintaining the currency in the customer master as USD the document currency in the sales order is showing as INR.
Below is a detailed explanation of what exactly is happening.
I have maintained the currency in customer master as USD. Now when i create a sales order after entering the sold to party and the PO no. a pop up box appears which says "Exchange rate will be redetermined". Now when I go to header details there it shows as INR. Now if i refresh the currency then it displays USD with the conversion rate. If I  come out of this screen and go to item details there it shows INR and when I come back to the header details again the currency is resetted to INR.
I got it checked with the FI consultant he says that the currency conversion customisation has no faults.
Please advise on this issue. Appreciate your help.
    Thanks in advance.
    Zak

To my knowledge, there are two options to check.
    1) Check in <b>OC41</b>, whether you have assigned currency exchange rates  and
    2) Check in <b>OB59</b> whether you have defined all tabs under “Exchange Rate Determination”
I am not sure whether this will help you but if it helps, don’t forget to reward points.
    Thanks

  • Default document currency as per document type for sales order

    Dear All,
We are facing problem in Default document currency as per document type for sales order,
Our requirement is not to give currency in customer master & set it as default document currency as per document type,
for example: Document type 'OR' default currency 'INR',
Document type 'ZEU' default currency 'EUR',
Document type 'ZUS' default currency 'USD',
Document type 'ZNP' default currency 'NRP,'
Document type 'ZAF' default currency 'RAND,'
Is it any how possible in standard setting ?,
    Regards,
    Sai

    Hi,
The system proposes the sales document currency from the customer master record of the sold-to party. You can change the currency manually in the document or change in currency in customer master. If you change the currency, the system recalculates prices for the entire document.
to determine different currrency in sales docuement you need to write an user exit and then overwrite the docuement currency copied from customer master. Try user exit 'USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_VBAK' under include MV45AFZZ for this change.
    with regards
    vivek.

  • Currency key in COPA document

    Hi,
Do you know how the currency key entered in COPA document is found ?
The currency key should be equal to document currency.
For the operating concern view of the COPA document, my currency type is not equal to document currency but to company currency.
    Thank you for help !

I might have misunderstood your question.  In the summarization tables that are normally used for BW extraction there is no transaction currency available.  You can have transaction currency only at line item level.

  • Currency conversion issue in SPM. We are getting incorrect results with SPM conversion function from one of the document currency to USD.

Currently we are using SPM 2.0 version and we have been facing currency conversion issues.
Please help me in following aspects.
    1) Where actually currency conversion happens in SPM. Is it the global program which does the conversion or other way.
    2) We have conversion issue for one of the currency where conversion function is giving incorrect results when converting from one of the document currency to USD. here The respective document currency is considering the 1:1 ratio with Dollar which is actually incorrect.
    3) We have verified in both BI side(currency tables) and even ECC side.
Please help me in understanding this issue and let me know if you need more information on this.
Its an production issue and appreciated your immediate inputs.
    Thanks

    Hi Arun,
The following information may be helpful to you.The SSA_HELPER_PROGRAM has options regarding currency settings.
EXCH_RATE_TYPE: This flag governs the exchange rate type which will be used for currency conversion in data management. For example if RSXAADMIN contains an entry EXCH_RATE_TYPE = „ZSPM‟ then the conversion type used for currency conversion is ZSPM. The default value for the exchange rate type is „M‟. More details can be found in the note 1278988.
CURRENCYCONVERSION: By default data management converts all the measures in transaction currency to reporting currency and copies over to the corresponding measure in reporting currency. If the measure in reporting currency is already available in source it might be desirable to disable the currency conversion. To disable the conversion you can make an entry CURRENCYCONVERSION = „ „ in the table RSXAADMIN. This can also be achieved by running the program SSA_HELPER_PROGRAM with the option DEACTIVATE_CURRENCYCONVERSION. The conversion can be reactivated by running the same program with option ACTIVATE_CURRENCYCONVERSION.
UNITCONVERSION: Similar to above. To deactivate unit conversion you can use the program with option and DEACTIVATE_UNITCONVERSION and to reactivate ACTIVATE_UNITCONVERSION. By default both the conversions are switched on
EXTERNAL_CURRENCIES: Normally most of the international currencies are stored with two decimal places however certain currencies do have 0 and 1 decimal place too. For example JPY has 0 decimal places. SAP internal format stores even these currencies with 2 decimal places and at the time of display it changes the value to right decimal places. In case a file from external source is loaded to SPM it might have the format with 0 decimal places in the file. To convert it to SAP standard format post processing needs to be done on this value. If that is the case you can set the flat EXTERNAL_CURRENCIES = „X‟ in the table which will enable the post processing for these values. This flag can also be set and reset using the helper program using the option TURNON_EXT_CURRENCY_FORMAT and TURNOFF_EXT_CURRENCY_FORMAT.
    Kind Regards,

So just the document I was last working on in pages won't open. I can't email it either it just sits preparing the document no matter what format I try. I can copy it, but the copies don't open either. I tried deleting documents in pages as well as the app and reinstalling it, but nothing has helped.

Try quitting Pages and then reset your iPad.
Double click the Home button to show the screen with running and recently used apps. Each app icon will have a sample page above it. Flick up on the page (not the app icon) and the page will fly away and the app icon will disappear. This quits that app.
Then reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.
