Document Date - A/P Invoice
Hi All,
I'm having an issue with A/P Invoices.
My customer wants to post an Invoice with these dates:
Posting Date: 26/03/09
Due Date: 30/01/09
DocDate: 31/12/08
The payment conditions for this BP are set to 30 days, counting from DocDate.
I've changed the definitions for the current period (2009-03) and the docdate is now from 01/12/08 to 30/01/09.
What happens is that the doc due date is changing automatically with the posting date, instead of changing with the docdate.
As it is defined on the payment conditions, shouldn't it change only with the docdate?
Kind regards,
Pedro Santos
Pedro,
What actually happens is when you change the posting date - the document date will automatically change to match the post date. So the calculation still works based on Document Date.
System function:
Posting Date change will affect Document Date
So if you change posting date after you have changed the document date...this will happen. So please change document date only after you have finalised the posting date.

The Document Date is the date when we raise and send a customer Order. Perhaps 2 weeks later we convert this order to an A/R Invoice by using the COPY procedure. However, this procedure changes the Document Date from the original date to the Current copying ( conversion date). We would like the Original date to be preserved and I wonder how to achieve this?
The current Date change problem is that we are extending the Credit to our customers by 2 weeks and and we would like to change this so the Document Date is preserved.
Thank you
RobertRobert,
Answering you first question. The Document Date is visible on all marketing documents. I am not really sure what you mean by "in many cases the Document Date is not visible or accessable "
The Document Date always defaults to the Posting Date of the document. If you create a Sales Order on March 03 2008 and copy to Invoice on March 14 2008, The Posting date and Document date on the Invoice will default to the current date which is March 14th. This is not a bug and there is no point in reporting this to SAP.
Answering your Second Question,
Certain header level field can be changed on an Invoice till the time the Invoice is not closed.
Any document which creates a Journal Posting in the system cannot be Changed once Added. This is the main reason you see the message when posting an Invoice
You cannot change this document after you have added it. Continue?

FBZG - Failed Bill of Exchange - copy previous document dates
Example
Bill of Exchange configured 1 BoE per invoice
Invoice 1 - dated 30 march 2010 1000EUR
Run F110 and get document putting 1000EUR into Bills receivable
When bill due
1000 EUR debit / credit bank / bank clearing
Run F_72
bank clearing and bill receivable cleared
FBZG run from bank file...
1000 put back on customer account as unpaid
I want document date of original invoice transferred - or mechanism of getting back original items - easy if 1 invoicve... complex for multi invoice cleared scenario!
Feedback appreciated for French(billet Ordre), Spanish(GIRO) and Italian(RIBA) examplesHi, does anyboy know which of those file formats support the Norma_19 from SPAIN?
Daniel, did you know the answer to your quetion. I want to knoe too.
Many thanks in advance -
Invoice Document Date - PGI Date Vs Invoice creation date
Hello Guys,
The way our system works right now is the date on the invoice document is always the date of PGI.
The business requires that the invoice date be the date it is billed.
But on the last day of the month it will be the date of PGI. and not the date of billing it.
Any advice on how the solution could be implemented.
ThanksThrough standard it is not possible. You have to try with USEREXIT_NUMBER_RANGE_INV_DATE (Module pool SAPLV60A, program RV60AFZC)
thanks

Hello, I just need some clarification on what the difference is between a posting date and a document date on an a/p invoice?
I'm guessing the posting date is the date of which the client enters the document into the system
Is the document date the date of the actual invoice itself?
Thanks,
JasonHi,
Posting Date
Specify the posting date when user enter the data into the SAP B1.
Document Date
Date of the document for tax reporting purposes. By default, it is the same as the posting date. You can change it manually, if required.

Purchase order Document date in AP Downpayment invoice PLD
Dear All,
Is it possible to capture purchase order Document Date in AP Down payment invoice PLD.My client want like this.I have tried, but i am not able to capture this field in AP Down payment invoice PLD.please give me the solution for this,If it is possible.
Thanks,
Silpa.Nhi silpa,
Create a user defined field in row level of marketing documents.
Apply formatted search using query
Select $[OPOR.TaxDate]
select auto refresh
when changing field Document Date in header level.
On copying purchase order to ap downpayment invoice Document date will copy to it.
U can also bring it to PLD by creating database field with table DPO1,column U_XXX
Hope it will solve problem.

Document date determination of cancellation invoice
Hi, Gurus,
I wonder how the FI doc's document date be determined if I make a cancellation invoice via VF11.
I have many cancellation invoices in my system, but it's strange that some invoices' subsequent FI documens have the same document date as posting date, but other invoices's FI documents have the different document date as posting date, which use the document date coming from the FI document created by the cancelled invoice.
I have looked into the issue. I know the posting date will come from the issue invoice date, but how about the document date?
Thanks in advance.

Invoice posting - set document date as baseline date
Hi Expert!
I have issue regardig invoice posting.
When invoice posting transactions are done, the baseline date in the transaction is changing due to unknown reasons. The baseline date should not change and should be the document date. This in turn is having effects on the culculation of the due date for the payment terms.
In this case, i would like to make the document date as the default baseline date and remove the option of changing the baseline date. Please guide me on how to do it step by step.. Please also advise step by step how can i do that in transaction MIRO, FB60, FV60, FB65 and FV65..
Thanks..prashant,
let say i have 3 company codes but i want to set the document date as the default for baseline date only for 2 company codes, how? If i tick on document date in the path u've given, will it be affected to all of company codes?
Where can i check for the payment terms against company code? Because payment terms in the path u've given seems like different than what is being using in the PO currently..
In the path there are 0001, 0002 and 0003 but payment terms which are being using in the PO are K160, K162....
Please advise.. -

Hi,
When I create incoming invoice with Tcod MIRO this problem create
{Check - document date is in the future)
What I do in this case please tell me
Regards
Sunil.hi,
cHECK THE DOCUMENT DATE IF IT IS IN THE FUTURE I,E FOR EG A MONTH AHEAD.
Probably the system just askds u if u have to post the doc in the future date.
This should be just a warning message and not the error message.
This should allow u to proceed with MIRO.
Please proceed and see,
Regards,
Hope thsi helps.

Document Date - Invoice Extractor Issue
Hi Folks,
I am facing an issue with Invoice extractor document date format while extracting data from source system.
The record fails at the SPM validation step.
Date in ECC and BKPF table 0949.08.10 (format: yyyy.mm.dd)
This data come to PSA but fails at the SPM validation step. Ideally if you look at the date it is in the valid format and should not fail.
The error message I get in SPM is: Field XSATRANDAT is of type DATS and contains unallowed values
Let me know how can we resolve this issue. We have 3 source system and to aggregate from all the systems we have approximately 5 such records creating problems.
Regards,
Sampat DesaiHi Sampat,
Can you check to make sure under global settings the data format is setup correctly. Or you can also choose date format under the properties of each load.

Changing Invoice document date
Hi All,
There is an invoice document which is posted on 27.01.2009 and has an incorrect document date ( 20.01.0009).
Is there a way we can change the document date? i tried looking for SAP Note but was unable to find any..
Appreciate any help ..
Thanks & RegardsDear,
nevertheless the System allows You to insert:
BKPF-BLDAT Document Date
BKPF-BUDAT Posting Date
into table v_tbaer by sm31,
then You will never be able to change these datas for data consistency by FB02.
You have to reverse the wrong document and post it again.
I'd suggest for the future to build up an FI validation to control these dates in order to avoid the user to do the error again.
I hope this helps.

Download Smart form data for 6000 Invoice documents into Excel
Hi,
Using RSNAST000 program currently we are printing samrtform.
Instead of printing data in smartform i need to write into excel.
Please let me know the logic to do this i need to write 6000 smartforms(Invoice documents) data into Excel.
Thanks
BhuvanaAsk him how he thinks smart forms can be embedded in Excel, and why he wants Excel (for which benefit, for using which functions of Excel?). He has an idea, for sure.
Technical possibilities of Excel to embed graphical documents are very limited, I mean 2 solutions: either storing the whole document as an image (rather easy), or split the document into pieces of text (into cells) and boxes and images (stored as Excel graphical elements) with a rather bad render (highly complex, I mean unfeasible).
- If his idea is to embed them as images (PDFs), then show him the result : 50 kb to 500 kb for each smart form = excel of several mega bytes. He will certainly regret. Moreover I don't see the interest.
On the other way, propose him to store smart forms in a single spool, so he will be able to display (it's then equivalent to preview) all of them at the same time. He'll surely agree that it's the most efficient way.
Propose him proofs of concepts. -
System Variable No. for AP Invoice Document Date
Hi,
I have an Outgoing Payment PLD. 2 fields was empty after the upgrade from 2007A to 8.8.
AP Invoice's Document Date and Customer/Vendor Reference No.
For AP Invoice's Document Date, I have tried the database field (Table: A/P Invoice, Column: Document Date) but it didn't work. Came out empty.
Initially, the database field for Customer/Vendor Reference No. came out empty as well but i used system variable 201 which worked.
I was just wondering if there is a system variable for AP Invoice Document Date as well? Or is there another way so that I can show the AP Invoice Document Date in the Outgoing Payment PLD?I sort of solved this problem myself.
Apparently, OPCH table (AP Invoice) was not available in the drop-down menu.
So, I selected the closest I can get: OJDT table (Journal Entry) and selected TaxDate - Document Date.
It works now.
