Document journal and GL reports

Dear All,
what are the different between document journal and GL reports in B1 2007A Sp00 PL 30? Ps give advice. TIA
Rajh

Though the Document Journal enables you to display in detail journal entries created manually or automatically by documents produced in SAP Business One. It is a different way of reporting on transactions than the GL Report where an entry to each G/L account is the primary basis for displaying the transactions.

  • Document Jounal & Compact Document Journal

    Dear all,
Can you tell me what is the difference between Document Journal and Compact Document Journal ?
    Thank you very much,
    Sylvecat

    Hi,
Compact Document journal - Report will be displayed based on header, Subledger accounts , Taxes, GL accounts for each document. (Tcode: S_ALR_87012289)
Document Journal - Displays the typical journal with debit /credit entries (either based on GL account numbers provided or for all documents generated) Tcode: S_ALR_87012286
    Example: Take the journal Entry-
    Purchase (debit) 1000
    To Vendor A (Credit) 1000
In compact Journal, it will look as -
    Document Header: <Company Code> <Doc Number> <Doc Type> & <Posting Date>
    Subledger Accounts: <Account type>: K; <Account number>: Here for vendor A; Amount
    G/L Accounts: <Posting Key>: Here 40 , <GL account>: Here for purchase GL acct number; <Amount>
    In Document Journal -
All the above details will be present (but with no bifercation between hearder /subledger or GL)

  • Financials Reports Accounting Document Journal

There is a field on the 'expanded' button called 'Detail Contains'.  For the report 'General Ledger', this field works fine.  For the report 'Document Journal', it does not work at all.  Has anyone else seen this, and is there a fix anywhere?  We've tried this on 2005A, 2007A and 8.8 with the same results.
    Thanks for the help,
    Marilyn

    Hi,
Gordon - manual JE's are included in the Document Journal report. I ran the report and see JE transactions.
Marilyn - if you have 'JE' selected in the Expanded section, then only manual JE's will be searched on (see the 'Origin' field in Journal Entry - this is what the filter is applied to). If you want to search on all transactions, you need to leave all transactions deselected or if you know the source transaction(s), select only those.
I tried it out and did get different results. I think the selection in Expanded is the difference.
If I don't have anything selected, I get the same results in both reports.
If I have something in Expanded (ex. "contains" filter), the Document Journal report has no results; GL report has entries but they are JE and inventory transactions. In some respect Gordon may be right - only document type transactions will be listed in Document Journal but that doesn't explain why it includes other transactions if nothing is selected in Expanded.
If that is supposed to be the difference in the two reports (one is for marketing/document transactions only), then there may be a bug.

  • Document integration for Bex reports and web reports

    Hi,
I would like to attach few documentaion (like business usage of the report) for all existing reports in BW system. We are delivering all reports through Bex reports and Web reports.
Report user should be able to see attached documentation through "Document" property in Web report.
I have followed this way but not able to get on-line documentation for queries.
    1. RSA1--> Documents >Meta Data> selected Object type ELEM> Import document> attached word document.
    2. I enabled Documents property in Query designer.
    3. When I executed this query in Bex, I could see document symbol for all characteristics & Key figures in all cell (in default view)
    4. The same result with Web report (all cells are having document symbol).
But I dont want to display documents in defaul view, if any user wanted to have doucment info, then should click on "document" tab and should be able to down load / read on line.
Let me know why I am getting document symbol for all key / char, even though i selected "ELEM". I know we could direclty import documents in query designer, what is the difference..
    Rgds..

    Hi,
Anybody could provide step to step procedure for doucument integration for Bex reports.
    Best regards,

  • Report that displays Costcenter , Document Number and Document type

    Hi All,
Can anyone suggest Report that displays Costcenter for a Document Number of certain Document type - Like G/L accounts .
    Thanks in advance ,
    Regards,
    Ry

    Good afternoon.
If you are trying to run a report for a particular cost center (or range of cost centers) and have the report show the GL document number and document type, try transaction KSB1.  You can update the line layout to show these fields.
If you are trying to run a report for a GL account and have the report show the cost center, run FAGLL03. You can update the line layout to include cost center.
Apologies if I have mis-understood your question.

  • Cash Journal - Document Number and Internal Document number

    Dear all,
In Cash Journal, do you know the different between these 2 fields: Document Number (ISCJ_E_POSTINGS-D_POSTING_NUMB) and Internal Document Number (ISCJ_E_POSTINGS-POSTING_NUMBER) ? How we can handle it ?
    Thank you very much,
    Best regards,
    Sylvecat.

    Hi,
ISCJ_E_POSTINGS-D_POSTING_NUMB.  A cash journal document has a unique number per cash journal and company code ant it is internally assigned. This number is usually used as cash receipt/payment printout number. It is one numbering for both (payments and receipts) and it is retrieved as the current highest number per cash journal + 1.
ISCJ_E_POSTINGS-POSTING_NUMBER. An internal number, based on the number range (01) assigned to your CoCd.

  • Document journal for Turkey

    Hi experts,
our Turkish company ask needs to execute the document journal with the second currency and with more information like requested by turkish law, this means they have to execute before the Document journal with RFBELJ10 program and then other document journal with the informations requested.
A Turkish consulting told them in SAP there is a report standard for Turkey, is it right? Please, could you suggest a solution?
    Thanks a lot.
    Regards,
    Gaetano

    Hi,
The suggested function group IDTR is a SAP provided object and so the process to add your own function module to the group is not straight forward.  You would need to create a function module name in the SAP name range and possibly enter a repair key for the function group.
It would help if you were more specific about what messages were be displayed when you try to save the function module.
    Regards,
    Nick
P.S. This is not a form printing question, and so is in the wrong forum

  • Excise No. using  Accounting Document Number and the P.O. number

Hi All ! In my GL report, I'm displaying the Accounting Document Number and the P.O. number.
Now, the requirement is to display the excise no..
Tried different tables in SE11 using J_1EXC for excise detials, but to no avail.
And last which vendor to pick, Because vendors in P.O and BSEG differs.
If I use the BSEG-BELNR I get a different vendor & If I use the P.O. no. in EKKO then also I get a different vendor.
    Please suggest.

    Hi,
Actually the vendor in the accounting document and PO should match. If not look in table EKBE, It will have the accounting document or at least the invoice receipt against which accounting document would have been created. Check if the vendor number matches with the invoice receipt.
Regarding the excise number I'm not sure what you mean, If you mean excise invoice number, you can look at the J_1IEXCDTL
J_1IEXCHDR tables. You could check with FC on what basis the document is getting created to make out the relation ship. If it is vendor excise no etc. you can hit F1 help to find out the table etc.
    Hope it helps.

  • How set authorizations for sales reports and other reports in SAPB1

Hi, I'm currently working in SAP Business One Version 8.82
The issue I'm facing is that I want to set it up so that certain users cannot see other users' sales information.  I know that I can turn on or off the Sales Analysis Report for various users for instance, but what I really want specifically is this.  Suppose we have 3 different teams: Team A consists of (Angie, Angela, and Anita the manager), Team B consists of (Bob, Barbara, and Ben the manager), Team C consists of (Cat, Charlie, and Courtney the manager).  I would like to make it so that everyone can view the individual sales order documents of everyone else (in case a customer calls and needs information, but the salesperson who created that document isn't there); however, Angie should only see her own orders when she does a Sales Analysis while Anita, the manager of Team A, should see the the orders of Angie, Angela, and herself of course.
To summarize, I'd like to see the following
    1.  Each salesperson can lookup and view any sales order.
    2.  Each salesperson can run an sales report to view all his/her own open sales orders.
    3.  Each manager can run a sales report on his/her subordinates, but not on the other managers or their subordinates.
    4.  The boss or other people working in corporate are able to run a report on all open sales orders.
What's the best way to approach this?  Is it best if I create my own report?  I haven't created any reports from scratch yet, so I'm not sure exactly how that works.  I'd like to be able to group the salespeople up by location if possible.  The sales analysis report doesn't really do that, but it is useful.  I just don't want everyone to be able to see the numbers on their peers.
Thank you I appreciate any help or advice.

    Hi,
    1.  Each salesperson can lookup and view any sales order.
    Answer:
Create own report by using query and save under query manager and the assign for all group. So that all sales person can run this query  and can get sales order detail.
    2.  Each salesperson can run an sales report to view all his/her own open sales orders.
    Answer:
Create individual query ( add condition in where clause slpname = 'XXX') for each sales person and save it under query manager and assign to particular user group
    3.  Each manager can run a sales report on his/her subordinates, but not on the other managers or their subordinates.
    Answer:
Create query for only particular team (  condition is slpname = XXX OR YYY OR ZZZ) and save under query manager. Make schedule report on this and send it to only particular manger
Same way create for another manager and schedule report.
    4.  The boss or other people working in corporate are able to run a report on all open sales orders
    Answer.
Create query for all sales person and schedule report to big boss.
Hope you can get an idea.
Let me know if you need sales report ( advice required field)
    Thanks & Regards,

  • Document Assembly and Creation of Template Pages?

What do “document assembly” and “creation of template pages” mean?
I am a print graphic designer who usually handles the printing for a particular client who does long reports. I also give them a low resolution PDF for email circulation and posting on their website. They are now want to use the PDF for other purposes such as creating PowerPoint presentations that they will do in house. Therefore they have asked me to unlock all the security options -- that quite frankly I never even dealt with. Specifically they want to “allow document assembly, commenting, signing, and creation of template pages.” Assembly, commenting and signing seem innocuous, but will document assembly and template pages have significance for me as a graphic designer? I'm not sure what these two functions are.

“document assembly” means the combination of documents.
“creation of template pages” is for the creation of template pages for forms
