Document printing ignoring posting date range

I am in Banking/Document Printing and selected my bank account,
doc type = checks for payment,
print checks = to be printed.
Posting date from/to fields = 2/1/09 - 2/28/09.
I click the OK button and the results show me 2 checks with 3/13/09 posting dates.  I only have these 2 checks iin my test db, but I was testing the february date range to verify it would exclude them from the results as it should.
Why are my 2 march checks showing in the results when my posting dates are only for February?

This date has not relation to your posting date.
The 03/13 is the check date.  Your transactions are still from your February date range.
You created the checks today and a check needs to have a date on it and this 03/13 is the date that will be printed on the check
By default the date you process the checks will be the date check date.
Posting Date is nothing but the date the transaction / JE is posted on.

  • POSTING DATE RANGE INCLUDED IN CUSTOMER RECEIVABLE AGEING REPORT PLD

    Dear All,
Please can you tell me how to print the posting date range selected in the parameter selection for Customer Receivable Ageing Report PLD.
    Thanks
    Gary

    Dear Rahul,
I know that but it is really painful to develop the whole report in crystal where it is available in SAP itself. Imagine just for one requirement i will have to build the whole report in crystal. I think SAP should give flexibility to change the hard coded reports.

  • Cannot reverse document with future posting date

    Hi,
When I tried to reverse a document with future posting date, system gives error F5362 Posting date must not be smaller than XX.XX.XXXX (x = future posting date).
Is it possible to do this in SAP?

    Hello,
You need to use reversal reason configured accordingly.
Configure the reversal reason for your purpose:
IMG => Financial Accounting => Business Transactions => Adjustment Posting / Reversal / Define Reasons for Reversal
Make SURE that you have ticked Alt.Pos.dt (Alternative Posting Date) check box.
    Save it.
Now use this reversal reason for your posting and give a fugure date.
Make sure that the future posting period is opened but NOT closed.
Please also read F1 on alternative posting date check box:
    Indicator: Alternative posting date allowed
Indicator as to whether you are allowed to specify an alternative posting date for the relevant reversal reason.
    Use
When you use the reversal reason, the system checks that reversal is not carried out using an alternative posting date and therefore possibly in a later posting period or in a later fiscal year.
    Examples
If you want to use negative postings during reversal but only if the reversal is posted in the same period, you can define two reversal reasons:
1st reason: No alternative date allowed, generate negative posting
2nd reason: Alternative date allowed, do not generate negative posting

  • Change posted reversed FI document (G/L) posting date

Hi All, my finance staff wrongly enter the posting date when she reverse a FI document. She wanted to know the way to change the poster reversed FI document, if possible.
    Or
can she undo the reverse process back to before reverse so that she can redo...
    thanks. Looi

    Hi,
    Reversal document can'be reversed again.
You have to post a manual entry for this using F-02.
Also you can use FBR2(Select Generate reverse posting)

  • Clearing of foreign currency documents in different posting date

    Hi guys:
I have encountered an issue on the foreign exchange clearing.
Example given as below Accruals was made on 31 Aug 2008 (Cr Balance), when the invoice is received on 25 Sept 2008, this transaction will be reversed (Dr Balance). And we need to trigger the clearing/matching process. The document currency of the accruals was SGD, but the invoice comes in GBP. Hence, by right, when the invoice is received on 25 Sept 2008, the system should pick the foreign currency rate on this date - WHICH IS 25 Sept 2008.However, the current practice is it depends on which date we do the matching/clearing. Say, if we clear on 20 Sept 2008, the system will pick the 20 Sept 2008 date currency rate, which gives a realised gain/loss (SGD: 716.80 or USD 500.28).
How to pick up the right currency rate we needed?
    Forrest

Any idea on this, i can posting and clearing in t-code F-04, so i can change transaction date related to foreign currency exchange rate, but user insist on using F-03, which i can not find transaction date.
Any useful suggestions, points will be awarded

  • Change posting date on Reverse Entry for Payment

    Scenario:
I entered an outgoing payment cheque run > printed cheques > posting date 31.05.09
Now i want to cancel this cheque run, so i voided the cheques.(under banking > ougoing payments > void checks for payment). I entered today as the posting date. This was incorrect. I should have entered posting date 31.05.09.
Can i now change the posting date to 31.05.09 on the reverse journal entry?

    HI Maeve,
The intention is to transfer the balance to May 31. Then yes.
Had the 2 dates been in the same posting period (which I believe they are not) it could have been done in one posting.
In Document Settings -> Per Document -> Journal Entry -> untick 'Block Posting Date Editing per Row'.
Then by changing the posting date on the row you could have done it all in one JE. No big difference.
    Thanks,
    Jesper

  • MIRO(Invoice Verification) posting date is lesser than MIGO(Goods Receipt)

MIRO(Invoice Verification) posting date is lesser than MIGO(Goods Receipt) posting date.
    Explanation:
Miro sholud be posted after the GRN has posted. It means that the Posting date of Miro should be greater than or equal to the Posting date of Migo. But I am facing the issue that I can able to post the Miro before the Migo date..
For example:  I have posted the Migo(Goods receipt) document with the posting date u2013 10.8.09 and at the same time I can also able to post the Miro(Invoice Verification) posting date as u2013 5.08.09. This is should not be allowed . Kindly give me the solution. Is there any options in SAP standards to restrict this type of Postings(without using user exit).
    regards
    Varadharaj

    Hi
you  need to use BADi for this INVOICE_UPDATE
you can give logic as whil;e MIRO system will compare posting date with MIGO doc , then create a Z error msg in se91 nad assign it in that badi
take help of ABAPer, check following link
    [LINK |GR date lesser than the PO date, the system should show an error message.;

  • Posting date is not opened---URGENT

    Dear MM Gurus,
When we are doing MIGO_GS( subsequent adjustment) we are facing problem as follows:
        <b>Posting Period 01 2007 is not open</b>
    Document Posting date: 30.03.2007
MM Period: Current Period 01 2007 ( user wrongly opened so we allowing previous period i.e 12 2006)
    FI period: 12 2006
Why system is taking 01 2007 while posting in FI as we are entering 30.03.2007 i.e 12 2006 ( In MM).
    Pls guide me.
    Regards,
    Venkat

    Hi,
I think that you have indicated that the FI period is 12/2006 and the message is saying 01/2007 is not open. So if the FI period for 01/2007 is opened then it should work fine.
If not then you perhaps need to change the posting date to match period 12/2006.
Also, with a subsequent adjustment the system will need to update the period that the posting relates to, is it posible that the original document had a posting date of 01/2007 even though your adjustment is using a posting date of 12/2006?

  • 1099 program is not selecting documents based on clearing dates.

We are trying to use SAP for the first time to produce our 2011 1099's.  We have documents that have posting dates in December of 2010 and clearing dates in January of 2011.  These payments to vendors are not being picked up in the SAP program.  We are using the reporting period of 01/01/2011 to 12/31/2011.  Has anyone else had this problem and been able to solve it?

You need to change the output group.  Go through IMG to WH tax, Extended WH tax, Generic WH tax reporting, Define output groups.  Under US_1099, "read withholding tax items from", change to #2, vendor payments.  That should solve your problem.

  • Prompt user for date range

Im working on a report that when it is opened by end user, i want it to prompt them for a date range. The report should only show records that fall between the date ranges entered.
If i use the select expert and hardcode specific dates in, it works and only shows the records i want to see. However i cannot figure out how to set Crystal to prompt the user to enter the in DateTime and the to Date Time fields with Select Expert.
Ive tried using a Parameter field, which it prompts for the date range, but still pulls up all records as normal. Its like it ignores the date range the user enters.
The select expert shows this formula, the date/time is all zero's in this example.
    {SHOP_ORD\.REVISED_START_DATE} in DateTime (0, 0, 0, 00, 00, 00) to DateTime (0, 0, 0, 00, 00, 00)
    Please help

    Figured it out.
Had to create two Parameter Fields {?StartDate} and {?EndDate}.
    Then used Select Expert, Formula Editor to modify the formula and set the in DateTime = {?StartDate} and the to DateTime = {?EndDate}
This works. Just hide the Parameter fields and you have your range selector

  • Material Posting Date & Usage

    Hi Gurus,
My requirement is to desing a new sales and usage of Materials for a Paticular plant.
In this report i need to show Posting Date in selection screen,
And please let me know how we will find out the usage of the Materials.
    Thankyou in advance.

You can get the Posting date from table MKPF for material documents.
That is for a material in sales order whenever u do a Post Goods Issue then the Tables MKPF and MSEG are updated.
U can find the material number in table MSEG( Line item table for material document)
and the Posting date corresponding to that mat. doc no. in MKPF ( Header table)
Similarly usage of material u can get by the stock available in MSEG table for that material. U can see these tables u will get a fair idea.

  • Include posting date in interest computation

    Hi,
we have a payment term of 07DA (due on the 7th of billed month)
If a document is posted on the first day of the month, then is it payable on the 7th. If the customer did not pay on the 7th, it will computed with interest. The standard is, interest will compute on the 2nd day of the month. Is there a way wherein interest will be computed on the 1st day of the month?
    Example:
Document with a posting date of September 1 (baseline line date is Sept. 01) due on September 7.
Customer did not pay on the 7th.
When i run interest, computation will start on September 2. We want it to start computing on Sept 1.
    Thank you.
    Rachelle

    Hi,
The baseline date can not be change for interest calculation alone, as that would affect the net due date calculation also.
However check whether in transaction OB85, you can define a custom function module for determination of interest rate and for that you can give the below formula:-
( Interest Rate Applicable / No of days in arrear ) * (No of days in arrear - 1)
Then the interst amount will be same as you wanted.

How can you have a posting date before a document is created?..
    Appreciate your thoughts.

    Hei,
    Thanks for your help.
    Have a question to you?
Suppose we should never have documents showing posting dates before the creation date, can this be controlled using a user-exit to validate Posting date with Creation date.If done so will affect all users using MIGO.How to make this control User specific........?
    kindly advise.
