Documents/cookbook on ICSS

Hi,
Could you please provide me some documents/cookbooks/links to documents on ICSS.
Thank you!
Regards,
Praveen

Hi Praveen,
There is no specific cookbook for ICSS.  However, the E-Commerce Enhancement / modification guide can be used as the reference for making ICSS modifications (the applications are the same - both are Java applications based on the struts framework.

SAP Business Suite Applications  -> SAP CRM -> Here you can find all e-Commerce installation guides.
I hope this helps.

  • ICSS Cookbook

    Dear All
As I am new to ICSS application, Can you please send me cookbook for ICSS so that I can understand its Architecture and get some useful technical information.
    Thanks for your cooperation.
    Best Regards
    Bhavishya

    Hi Bhavishya,
ICSS or E-Service is a part of E-Commerce. So there is no separate cookbook for the same. You can refer to the E-Commerce Cook Book available at service marketplace and understand the architecture of ICSS.
Now as per the configuration is concerned there is document at
       http://help.sap.com/bp_crmv250/CRM_DE/index.htm
in that Technical Information  -> Building Block Library. There you can find Configuration guide for E-Service.
    Hope this helps you.

  • ICSS developments

Can somebody share his/her experience in developing applications within CRM ICSS/Self Service?
I would like to know if the skills/techniques required are similar to those needed for Internet Sales Application developments.
Another question is whether the Internet Sales Extension Guide (which can be found on SAP Service/Inst guides) is a valid reference document for ICSS extensions.
Finally, has anybody come across a specific guide/cookbook to ICSS application developments?
    Regards,
    Manoj

    Hello Manoj
It is quite a while since you posted this message in the SDN. Nevertheless, I was wondering if you've achieved some developing experiences in this area (ICSS).
I'm trying to add a new field within the "New Service Ticket" page which allows users to enter a new service ticket. This new field would allow users to enter the category type of the service ticket. The category of a service ticket is stored in the table CRMD_ACTIVITY_H (field CATEGORY).
There are only three different category types and their values will not be modified. I don’t need to get any additional data from the backend (CRM), but I need to write the category type within the given table as the user creates a new Service Ticket (also called Service Request).
Do you have any idea, advises, examples or references?
Thank you very much for your support
    Marc

  • Degree audit cookbook and best practise

At Freie Universität Berlin we started implementing SLCM degree audit for the graduation processes of our study programs and face now the challenge to educate our administrators in usage of the tools to define the appropriate requirement catalogs. We are using Version 6.0 of CM.
Since degree audit is a complex process to be customized and enhanced by BADI implementations and objects (rule containers containing requirements) we asked SAP for documentation usable for training administrators with erperienced SAP-CM-knowlegde in other areas.
It seems that such a documentation does not exist yet, neither in help.sap.com nor in the SND-marketplace, so we are now to ask the highered-BPX-Forum.
We search for general documentation and how-to-Documents (cookbooks) about:
    - setting up requirement patterns, requirement catalogs (and versions of them), selectors, filters, figures and performance indices to model the requirements of a given program and anchoring them to the academic structure;
    - If there exists a graphic of a "database scheme" which illustrates the dependencies of the objects used in degree audit this would also be helpful.
Can anyone point us to such documentation?
We would also like to be pointed to/share knowledge about:
    - best practices in the pragmatics how to compile study regulations into requirement catalogs using the given objects, BADIs and SPRO yielding both: accuracy and maintainability;
    - How-tos about enabling enterprise services assignable to business roles or automatic procedures and composable to an example process including
       - the assignment of requirement catalogs to student's study;
       - the creation of requirement profiles for candidates;
       - starting and saving audit runs;
       - propagating their results to internal qualifications;
       - completing degree.

    <b>SAP Consultant Certification Policy</b>
Conditions for Participation in SAP’s Consultant Certification Program
    <b>1. Participants</b>
Partners and customers may register suitably qualified employees as candidates for the certification examination.
Participants in training courses that are given by SAP or SAP’s authorized training partners and that include the certification examination may attempt the certification examination.
Other persons may apply to an SAP international subsidiary to be admitted to the certification examination. Candidates are required to show they are suitably qualified and that their certification fulfils a need. Admission to the certification examination is at SAP’s sole discretion.
    <b>2. Examinations, Personal Data</b>
SAP will define and publish the scope to be covered by each examination, which is subject to change by SAP without notice.
SAP will define and publish the format and duration of the examination, which are subject to change by SAP without notice.
Examinations and certificates are release-dependent, that is to say examinations cover and certificates are valid in respect of a particular software release.
SAP reserves the right to limit in time the validity of a release-dependent certificate. The validity of a certificate expires not later than the time at which SAP ends support of the release in question.
SAP will define at SAP’s discretion the releases for which examinations will be offered and their validity in time.
SAP may offer a delta-certification test to upgrade the certificate for a particular release so that it is valid for the subsequent release. Delta-certification test candidates must hold the certificate for the current release. Possession of the certificate for aback-level release does not entitle a candidate to admission to a delta-certification test. SAP reserves the right to include in delta-certification tests matters of general importance as well as matters specific to the new release.
To administrate the certification program SAP or its subsidiary stores and processes data concerning persons in accordance with the applicable statutory data protection provisions. Candidates must confirm in writing their acceptance of such storage and processing before admission to the examination.
    <b>3. Examination Rules</b>
Each candidate must produce an official valid identification document with photo to the invigilator (proctor) before the invigilator allows the candidate to start the exam.
The candidate must complete the examination alone and independently. No extra help of any kind is allowed.
The time available to candidates to complete the examination is limited and can be neither interrupted nor extended.
Candidates must follow the invigilator’s instructions.
The examination questions and tasks are copyright and must not be written down, copied, or otherwise reproduced in whole or in part or made available to others in any form.
If a candidate disturbs the examination or breaks any examination rule that candidate will be excluded from the examination immediately.
    <b>4. Assessment and Results</b>
The examination is assessed blind in accordance with general rules defined by SAP.
Candidates are informed of their result, by receiving a certificate or failed feedback.
Successful candidates receive a certificate with a unique identification number.
As far as reasonably possible, unsuccessful candidates receive general information on identified gaps in their competence.
Appeals must be lodged within three months after communication of the result. SAP is not required to review appeals lodged after these three months, and is then entitled to destroy the documents.
SAP will hold the results of the examination in a database in order to be able to ascertain, if necessary, what certification a candidate holds and whether a candidate can be admitted to other examinations. SAP may also use the data held to provide targeted information to certified candidates and to enable candidates to retrieve specific information. SAP may also inform others of successful candidates’ certification.
    <b>
    5. Amending and Replacing Certificates</b>
If a certificate is lost, the SAP international subsidiary will issue a replacement.
Successful candidates must inform the SAP international subsidiary in writing of any change of address, of name, or of employer, or of any other relevant change, attaching official documents and a statement by the new employer, as appropriate. SAP will issue an amended certificate to the candidate’s new address.
SAP may make an administrative charge for amending and replacing certificates.
    <b>6. Re-take</b>
Unsuccessful candidates may re-take the same examination.
No candidate may sit the same examination for the same release more than three times. A candidate who has failed at an examination three times for a release may not attempt that examination again until the next release.
A candidate may not re-take an examination until 30 days after the failure.
Before admission to the same examination a third time the candidate must produce evidence of training suitable to rectify the gaps identified in the candidate’s competence at previous examinations.
SAP does not undertake that candidates can re-take an examination for a particular release. Re-take candidates may have to attempt the examination for a later release.
Candidates pay a fee for all re-takes.
    <b>7. Certification Fees / Regulations</b>
Candidates pay a consultant certification fee for admission to the examination.
This certification fee covers the examination, assessment, and, for successful candidates,
    the certificate and ID-Card.
For some identified SAP training courses the listed course fee includes the certification fee.
Where the examination is offered and conducted by SAP the regulations for participation in SAP training courses also apply.
    8. Infringements of the Examination Rules
In the event of a serious infringement of the examination rules, all certificates that the candidate concerned has been awarded will be invalidated and the candidate will be excluded from further examinations. A candidate who has seriously infringed the rules must return all certificates to SAP without delay.
In the event of a minor infringement of the examination rules the exam of the candidate concerned will be assessed as a “fail” but the candidate may re-take in accordance with the rules for re-take.
Infringement of copyright and other unlawful harm to SAP will be treated as a serious infringement of the examination rules as if the infringement or harm were done under the certification program.
SAP will have proper regard to its duty of fairness in deciding whether an infringement is serious or minor. The candidate concerned will receive written reasoned notification.
    <b>9. Law and Jurisdiction</b>
These Conditions of Participation apply to the exclusion of all other conditions. These Conditions cannot be changed or added to, and SAP’s failure expressly to reject a change or addition will not be construed as SAP’s acceptance of the change or addition.
These Conditions of Participation are governed exclusively by German law.
If the other party is a registered trader for the purposes of the German Commercial Code (Handelsgesetzbuch) the sole place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising between the parties out of or in connection with these Conditions is Karlsruhe, Germany.
    Certification through SAP
Certification events are offered in different countries. Note that SAP training & certification offerings vary across different countries and regions around the world. For course schedules and registration information contact your local SAP Education training center.
Book your Certification via the Online Training Catalog
At the end of most basic and advanced training courses, course participants have the option of taking part in a certification examination to verify their knowledge of a particular SAP solution. Examinations can also be attended independent of training courses: dates can be found at the Online Training Catalog.

  • Availability of an Audit Cookbook

    Hello,
I am working on setting up the degree audit functionality in CM, and am wondering about the availability of a cookbook for this part of the system. We recently exchanged emails with another university implementing it, and they told us that a cookbook was expected out near the end of this year. Is this correct? If so, any chance that the timetable could be accelerated, if others expressed interest in seeing such a document?
I googled around, and couldn't turn up all that much helpful documentation. Also, I have read through the online documentation available, and I think I have a fairly good grasp of how this part of CM works and is to be setup, but it would be nice to have an actual guide/template with which to refer.
    Thank you,
      Eric

    Eric,
We are still planning this cookbook to be released this quarter.  I will accelerate it as much as possible.  In the meanwhile, if you have specific queries, you should go ahead and post them.  Thanks for your patience.

  • Issue in the user interface of ICSS application

    Hi Experts,
Please find the below description of the issue.
Ours is a migration project of ICSS application from one landscape to another landscape. Both the landscapes are in CRM 7.0 with the same patch levels.
For this migration we have copied the existing track A to the new track B and mapped to the new CRM 7.0 B system.
The XCM setting has maintained in the new B system exactly the same way like the A system
All the related backend code like FMs, Data Dictionary objects etc in CRM 7.0 A system has been moved to the CRM 7.0 B System.
After this when we tried to run the application B, we are not seeing the same user interface like in application A.
We are seeing only black font with white background. The color combination, fonts, styles etc like in application A are not visible in application B.
There are no CSS files in the XCM settings in A system. So I have also not maintained in B system.
We have not done any changes in the track. So we have not deployed the application.
I have created the projects for both the tracks A and B and compared the code manually. Everything is same.
      Question:
Please let me know what needs to be done additionally to get the same user interface.
Is Shopadmin settings has to be maintained. Is this mandatory.
       Thanks in advance.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Raghu

    Hello Waldemar,
Thank you for contacting National Instruments. I would like to apologize for the delay in responding to your support request. We have been on holiday for the past few days due to Thanksgiving.
From the information you have provided here, it sounds like you are on the right track with getting your application up and running with a chinese font interface. I would like to point out an extremely helpful KnowledgeBase that you might use for reference now and any other time you need to localize your user interface:
    http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/websearch/5987FCAFE3FBE8B98625693B0052EBD9?OpenDocument
(This KB was written for LabVIEW 6.0, but is still relevant for LabVIEW 7.0.) Based on this document, you only need "an MBCS-enabled operating s
ystem with an IME for the corresponding language." All 32-bit Windows operating systems are MBCS-enabled. Please see these links from the Microsoft website for more information:

I would recommend that you go ahead and install the Chinese fonts to your OS (if you have not already), and develop your user interface using the new font. This application should have no problem on any other machine with the Chinese font enabled.

  • Unrecognized Event Datatype Using ActionScript 3.0 Cookbook

This is my first time using Flash 9 Alpha (F9A)/ActionScript
3.0. I am using code from the ActionScript 3.0 Cookbook so I
assumed it would work immediately; this is not the case. I've
verified that my code looks exactly as it does in the Cookbook with
    two exceptions:
    1) the image file I'm using, which is located in the root
    directory with the .fla file.
    2) the Cookbook import statement for the Event class is
    "import flash.events.Event;" but F9A didn't recognize ".events."
and gave me another error, three errors total. In response, I
changed the import statement to "import flash.event.Event;" and got
rid of that error, resulting in two errors total.
Even still I'm getting these two errors:
    **Error** C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\My
    Documents\My_F9A_Project\BitmapLoader.as : Line 15, Column 36 :
    [Compiler]
Error #1046: Type was not found or was not a compile-time
    constant: Event.
    public function onComplete(event:Event):void {
    ReferenceError:
Error #1065: Variable BitmapLoader is not defined.
Can anyone help me figure out what is going wrong with this?

flash.events is correct, and flash.event should not be valid,
I'm not sure what's going on there.
The other two errors are a because the class is not imported.
Event is not imported because, as noted, flash.event does not
exist. It should be flash.events.Event. And you also need to import
    flash.display.Bitmap
AS3 doesn't get much attention here(probably because this is
a Flash forum, and there's not final release of Flash with AS3 yet,
although there is the public Alpha, as you know). I suggest the
actionscript.org AS3 forum. It's full of crazy Flex users, but the
AS3 portion is all the same.

  • FAQ's & Solution Search in CRM ICSS 6.0

    Hi ,
I am working on  CRM 6.O . I want to configure the FAQ & Solution search in ICSS. For this I have defined Probles, Solution and tried to compile the same in in BSP_WD_CMPWB for the component CRMCMP_SAFADM. But during compilation no data is reflecting. I had also configured the SAF.
Can anybody suggest me how to get the FAQ appear in ICSS. ?
    I had already referred the document C13 & C74.
If you have any documents related to these pls suggest..
    regards,
    Sarangamath

So, let me add the step to this that specifically is not working.  Let's add to this the fact that to the Material of Truck, there are attached Warranties and Service Contracts (Truck is part of an equipment master).  So, now I want all Red Trucks which have a Warranty expiring this month AND no Service Contract.  To further explain, the equipment master has a Type (Truck), and either a Warranty or Contract attached to it (either, both, or neither).  So I want to use the AND to identify Trucks that have no Warranty or and expiring one, AND Trucks that have no Service Contract.  I only want Trucks that meet both conditions at the same time.
In our testing, we have found that using the AND with the KEEP functionality it works in all cases EXCEPT when someone owns more than one Truck.  For example, lets say Bob owns two Trucks, one has no Warranty but a Service Contract, and the other Truck has a Warranty, but no Service Contract.  In this case, Bob should not show up in the Target Group because he does not own a Truck that has no Warranty AND no Service Contract.  However, because he shows up in the no Warranty target group for one Truck, and the no Service Contract target group for the other Truck, when you do a KEEP you get Bob in the final Target Group.  Is there any way to find just Trucks that have both no Warranty and no Service Contract?
    Thanks, Bryan
