Does gamers club unlocked work on disney infinity characters​?

I bought two disney infinity figure for 9.99 each and thought gcu works with infinity figures but it didn't come off the total. The employee told me it doesn't work with infinity figures he thinks. I swear it came off before when I bought some last time. Does it work with disney infinity or not? Thanks in advance.

  • Gamers Club Unlocked Renewal not Working

    I recently renewed my Gamers Club Unlocked and have been trouble getting my additional two years added to my current experation date. I've called best buy multiple times (3-4 times within the past 3 weeks) and have been told to wait 24-72hrs to see changes made. Instead of getting two years added to my experation date I got 2 years subtracted to my date. My orginall expiration date was 2017 and now its listed as 2015 with my renewal it should be 2019. Any one else have any trouble with their renewal processes? So far it seems like I spent $60 dollars for nothing as I'm not getting any changes made to my account.

However, I do apologize as it sounds like there may be some confusion around when your benefits should expire and the dates that are currently reflecting in regards to the expiration.
    enuf has hit the nail on the head here. Your GCU expiration date reflecting incorrectly is a known issue and our My Best Buy team has been working to resolve this. To further mirror what enuf said, the GCU expiration dates reflecting incorrectly should be resolved well before your benefits would ever expire, so please don’t let it be too much of a cause for concern!

  • Gamers club unlocked just stopped working.

    I purchased gamers club unlocked on 11-10-2014 and it showed up on My Best Buy reward until 12-9-2014.  After that day it just disappeared off my account.  I have spoken to countless people at 1-888-Bestbuy dating back to 2-20-15 when I went to purchase The Order and had to pay full price.  I have went in the store and all they can tell me is call the 888 number so I called today and asked to speak with a supervisor, the put me on hold for 2.5 hours and no one ever came to the phone.  This is the most frustrating thing in the world to purchase something and not receive what paid for.  I still have the receipt and I pulled up the transactions for when it first appeared on my account and when it disappeared off my account.   Can anyone one tell me the best course of action to resolve this issue.

  • Gamers Club Unlocked - Not showing up as activated

    I preordered several Disney Infinity items back on 7/21 along with a My Gamers Club Unlocked card.  The 20% discount was applied to everything in my order.  The card itself came directly to my house a couple of days later.  I took the card to my local Best Buy store to have it activated.  Like many others on this message board, the cashiers were confused and had to call over a manager.  They apparently activated it, but it then charged me $30 again...they processed that as a store discount.  The manager basically said she didn't have time to figure it all out so she was just processing it as a store credit.  They did ask me for My Best Buy membership information so I figured it was all set.  That was on August 1st.  I still can't see the card on my online account.  I am looking to preorder several other games, but won't until this problem is resolved.  I requested help via email and was just directed to call an 800 number.   Any help would be appreciated.  I saw where several people on this message board had the store ring up a game when the card was activated, but no one did for me in the store.  I figured it was working when the discount was applied to my online order.  Thanks in advance for the help. rumrunner25

    There seems to be an issue with the stores process and how it's communicated.  I'm really sorry for the inconvenience you've experienced with getting your Gamers Club Unlocked membership activated.   
    The stores management team should be able to resolve this issue and I personally apologize for the manager’s behavior.  We never want our customers to feel this way.  
    It does appear that you were given the wrong card.  I'd advise you to return to the store and have them attempt to activate it again.  Make sure that they add your My Best Buy account information to the transaction and ring-up a new game purchase before leaving the store.  
    If they're unable to active your current card, then they'll need to exchange it.  Please note that the card shouldn't have "Gifting" on it or on your purchase receipt.  If it does, then this is the wrong card.  
    I'm sorry again for all the trouble and please keep me the loop on how it goes.  I look forward to hearing from you.

    I see that there is a limit of 3, but I wanted some clarity. Let's use the wii u as an example. Am I limited to 3 wii u titles per year? Or can I purchase every wii u game for the next 2 years and get 20 percent off?
    Does the 3 limit mean that I can only purchase Mario kart 8, three different times and the fourth time the coupon would not work?
    I'm asking because there is an older game on sale and I wouldn't want it to go against my limit of 3 titles per platform if that's the case.

  • Gamers Club Unlocked Activation Issues... Please check if GCU is active?

    Hello there,
    I purchased the Gamers Club Unlocked gifting card online for myself back in December... Well it wasn't until today that I was able to drive to the nearest Best Buy (about an hour away) to have it activated. I did not try and purchase a game at the store with the membership, but I did try adding a game to my cart online to see if it worked and it applied the GCU discount within the cart. However, when I go to check out, I keep getting an error. Is there any way someone can check and see if the GCU membership was correctly applied to my account and the day it expires? I am seriously doubting myself and the cashier that activated my card, simply because no one there seemed to know what they were doing. And I really don't have the time and gas money to go back to the store to try again.

    Hopefully many of you have heard that we’re currently adding some enhancements to our My Best Buy Gamers Club Unlocked program. You may have even had a chance to take a look at all of the great benefits that the program offers. If you are an active member or member whose membership may have expired since May 1, 2013, we are providing a coupon to allow you to renew your Unlocked membership for an additional two years for just $30. Here’s how it will work.
    Starting today, November 7, 2013, emails began to go out to these current and past members that include the coupon mentioned above. These emails will continue to go out over the next couple of days. To help ensure that all qualifying members are able to enjoy these benefits as soon as possible, we have some great news for you. Anyone whose account has expired since May 1, 2013 or does expire prior to February 10, 2014 will have their membership extended to February 10, 2014 at no cost to you. We’ve provided the answers to some questions you may have below.
    Q: How will I receive the coupon to extend my Unlocked membership?
    A: The $30 coupon will be sent to the email address associated with your My Best Buy account. These will begin to go out within a couple of days via email, however we realize that some of you have opted out of receiving email communication from us.     I tried calling MYBBY Support, and they were of no use. Long story short, I have been an Unlocked member since the start, and just renewed my membership last month. When I look in the Profile section under myBBY it only shows me as 
    RZ Gamers Club (free)
    And not UNLOCKED like it used to. I just paid $30 for another year renewal, starting next month, and now I am only going to get half a year? Or will I get another full year, which I paid for, plus another 2 years with the coupon.
    Speaking of the coupon, I want to verify I am going to get it, since my profile says FREE and not UNLOCKED. I called MYBBY and have a case with the "Back Office" but have not heard back yet.

  • Gamers club unlocked discount on sales priced games

    I went in today to try and buy Wolfenstein on xbox one. it was $40 but with my GCU it should be $32. I was then informed that the discount does not work on sale priced games. Correct me if im wrong but I do believe this is the wrong policy. If it is the wrong policy  how can I prevent it from happening in the future? I ended up leaving and ordering it online for store pick up becuase the discount works online.

    Thanks for your question in regards to the 20% discount you receive on new games with Gamers Club Unlocked (GCU). I’m definitely concerned about the interaction you speak of while visiting our store. We expect our associates to be knowledgeable around the details of our programs such as GCU, and I apologize if you received any misinformation while attempting to purchase the new Wolfenstein.
    What everyone in this thread have said is correct. The 20% discount you receive with GCU should apply to all new games, even if Best Buy is running a sale on said games. However, as stated by dragonkid, the discount would not apply if you are price matching another retailer; you'd receive one or the other.
    While I’m happy to hear that you were able to receive your GCU discount on Wolfenstein, I do regret that it wasn’t during your first attempt while in our store.

  • My Gamers Club Unlocked membership expiration is still wrong.

    I have mentioned this several times and seems nothing has been resolved.
    I renewed GCU back in September 2013, about a week after it expired.  I then renew once again sometime in November I think.  That time the GCU was for 2 years as the program had been overhauled.  Therefore my GCU should be until September 2016 yet it still shows 2015 on the MYBB page.
    Additionally, I only receive one welcome pack of coupons despite two separate renewals (a 1 year and then 2 year).

    The Gamers Club Unlocked benefits should work online and at the store.  I was able to locate your membership and it appears to be active in our system.    
    It sounds like bobberuchi is trying to see if the issue is with your My Best Buy log in.   I'd like to see if that's the issue as well.  Please try logging out of your account and logging back in.  If this doesn't resolve the issue, then you may need to clear your browsing history or try a different Internet browser.

  • Gamers Club Unlocked 10% trade in bonus

    I live in Greenville, SC. Went in to the store today to trade in a game and gave all of my info like usual (I trade in a lot). They completed the transaction, but did not give me the 10% bonus. When I asked about it, they very rudely told me that I'm not supposed to get the 10% bonus every time (which was news to me). After a bit of escalation everyone I spoke to told me that we don't get the 10% bonus every time anymore. Is this true or are they all misinformed?
    I've had trouble with my card, so I've had to have them cancel and redo the transaction before, but it's always worked with my phone number. Is this a new policy or something?

However, I do apologize as it sounds like you recently ran into an issue and may not have received your 10% Gamers Club Unlocked (GCU) bonus while trading a game in.     What enuf has said is correct. The 10% trade-in bonus is a perk of GCU, and should be applied to any trade-in you do, regardless of current promotions.     I mean, is a preordered item, a week after release or a month after?.

    It looks like jac522 and Shady520 have everything pretty well covered here, but to provide an official answer: "new video game software" refers to any factory-sealed, disc-based game. It does not matter when the game was released or how long Best Buy has carried the title, just as long as the other two conditions are met (factory sealed, physical disc).   • Gamers Club Unlocked "Rule of 3"

    Ive not heard of this "Rule of 3" stipulation until recently.  I shop at Best Buy ALOT obviously to make Silver Elite.  So needless to say I do my Xmas shopping there as well.  How enforced is buying a game of the same name enforced?  Also if it is STRICTLY enforced it should be more pronounced and not hidden in the fine print.  I was fortunate enough to have a $30 renewal but I would feel terrible for the person that dropped $120 only to get penalized for buying themselves and even gifts from Best Buy.  I myself have also bought a game on sale only to have buyers remores at times and return it.  Is that still counted towards my '3'?

    Even if a copy of a game is ultimately returned, it does still count towards the maximum number of that particular title that can be purchased in conjunction with the Gamers' Club Unlocked discount.

    I'm thinking about purchasing gamers club unlock but I wanted to get things clear here. So your saying we get 20% of new games and the minimum is up to 3 games. So let's say I buy a $60 game does that mean I will only have to pay $48?

    I like the way you are thinking.  If you are going to be buying games over the next two years you'll love the perks!  Unlocked members receive 20% off all new games (excluding digital downloads), so a $60 title would be $48 + tax.  There is no limit to how many games you can buy with this discount, but you can only purchase three of the same title using your discount.
    In addition to this, you receive 10% off used games.  If you trade in your games at your local Best Buy store you get double points for every dollar value traded in as well as a 10% bonus on the trade-in value.

  • Gamers Club Unlocked not added to purchase of PS4

    I purchased a ps4 last week, preordered destiny, and bought infamous second son. This week I see that infamous is 20 dollars cheaper and now with every ps4 purchase you get gamers club unlocked for free. So as awesome as this is I went into best buy to have them return the purchase and re ring it back up. I got Second son for 40 dollars but then noticed on the reciept when I got home that the gamers club sku was the 3312234 which appears to be the free gamers club. I asked the cashier at the counter and she assured me this was the only option she had to scan. i even looked around the store for a gamers club unlocked card or something to give to her. There was not anything around the registers or anywhere in the gaming department. So I agreed with her that it must have worked. Now that I am home and reading the forums I have a feeling that i have the free account and not the gamers club unlocked like i should have gotten. I really do not want to go back to the store as they will have to return it a third time. Is there any way to rectify this? I have called best buy corporate and been hung up on three times and finally someone gave me the number 18006783643 which is out of service. I want this to apply asap so i can apply to my destiny preorder tomorrow. Thanks.
