I have server 2012 DC.
Some Domain clients not appear in network neighbourhood.
Any suggestion.

Are all of the existing machines Windows XP?
The computer is running Windows XP and the LLTD protocol is not installed. Before a computer running Windows XP can be detected and appear on the network, you need to install the LLTD protocol on that computer. For more information, please refer to Microsoft

The computer is running Windows XP and firewall settings are preventing Windows from detecting it. Check the firewall settings and make sure that file and printer sharing are enabled. If you are using Windows Firewall, see Understanding Windows Firewall
settings. If you are using another firewall, check the information that came with your firewall.

Machines not appearing in network neighbourhood

Hi,
It has been observed that some Win7 / Win 8 machines stopped appearing in the Network Neighbourhood.
We are running Windows 2012 Domain Enviornment...
Browser service is running on the machine.
Machine is appearing in its own NB
There is no AV Client installed on the machine.
We can browse the machine by \\MachineName, it works.
Kindly help troubleshoot the issue...

Please have a share with the following information:
1. What is your network environment, all in the same subnet? wired or wireless?
2. When are the some of the Windows 7/8 stopped appearing in the network Neighbourhood?
3. Make sure the NLA is not set to public(Network Location Awareness (NLA) and how it relates to Windows
Firewall Profiles)
4. Check if Network Discovery is enabled on the machines(Enable or disable network discovery).
5. Check if NetBios over TCP/IP is enabled;
6. Check this hotfix:
Not all computers in a domain are enumerated in Windows Explorer in Windows 8 or Windows Server 2012

Domain Names Not Appearing In Drop Down of Data Cleansing Task

For some reason, in several of my DQS data cleansing tasks, the domain names of the knowledge base I choose are not appearing. This is turn leads to an error message stating that "No domain field has been mapped to the input column...".
The task can see the DQS server and it can see the various knowledge bases on that server, but the domains are not appearing.
Has anyone else run into this issue?

I have just found the same issue.
For me, I believe it is because the domains are only used in matching rules, which the SSIS task does not support. Therefore they are not in the drop down as the SSIS DQS task cannot use them. Only map domains for data correction and you should be ok.

My iPad2 does not appear in Network MIDI set up .... HELP!!

I have bought an ipad 2 to control Logic Pro with AC-7 core but I cannot get Network MIDI Setup to recognise my iPad 2.
I tried downloading rtp MIDI and trying to get Windows 7 to recognise my iPad 2 but still no luck.
I have tried creating an Adhoc network direct between my iPad 2 and my iMac .... no go!
I have downloaded Tildesoft Bonjour Browser to see if my iPad appears under Bonjour services and it doesn't?
I tried restoring my iPad 2 software .... still no help.
I checked my Netgear router and that shows my ipad 2 appearing as a device with the correct IP address but that as far as I can get,
I just cannot understand why my iPad 2 remains invisible to all my computers and network permutations.
I thought Bonjour was meant to be zero configuration technology!
Any help would be much appreciated

OK found a solution.
1. I logged out of my iMac and logged back in and did the same with my Windows laptops.
2. I unplugged my Virgin cable router from the back of my Netgear wireless router as I had read that your ISP can interfere with setting up Network MIDI.
I'm not sure which one did it, if it was doing both these things but my iPad 2 now appears perfectly on my MIDI network and I can control Logic Pro 8 with AC-7 Core.
Once I had my iPad 2 working over my MIDI network I was able to plug my Virgin cable modem back into my Netgear router without it effecting my wireless MIDI network.

Shared Hard disk is not appearing on networked computer

I recently set up a network with my new iMac and my older iMac (both on 10.5.3). Everything was working perfectly until a couple of days ago I noticed that the primary computer's hard disk is no longer showing up when I connect the second iMac. However, my external Time Machine disk and an extra storage disk are both showing up and can be accessed from my second computer. I haven't even set up Time Machine to network and the disk is not set to be shared. I would really like to get my HD sharing again as that is where all my files are stored which I want to access on my second computer. I have deleted it and added it several times in the file sharing window on the primary computer's system preferences. It is set to read and write for my account, just as the extra disk is. I can't get it to work at all.
As an alternative I can screen share and access the files that way but I would like to get direct access back again which I was using before.
Any ideas as to what has happened? The older iMac has been having power problems - shutting down when going to sleep and taking several attempts to restart. I have no idea if this has in some way damaged the connection.

Further to what I wrote a few days ago, it seems the problem was caused by starting my computer in "Safe mode". I managed the restart my computer in the normal mode and the problem was fixed. Unfortunately I can no longer start my computer at all and will have to take it in to be fixed.

Second Dev. Client not appearing in Project Task List

While defining the CHARM Maintenance Project in systems tab is it necessary to add all the logical components ( I have 2 development clients 130 as workbench & 100 as customizing so i need to add two logical components) before clicking 'Create Task List' button.
I created the task for one logical component 130->330->720 first time & project defined successfully with consistency check.
Now when I am adding 2nd logical component 100->330->730 & created IMG Project. But If I go to 'Show Task List' I am not able to find 100 client under source system development. Means 100 client is not in the Task List of Project.
Is there any way to add the Dev Client 100 in Task List of the Project under Source Systems->Development System

When trying to assign IP reservation in IPAM, Domain does not appear in Forward lookup zone drop-down list

I am trying to assign reserved IP Addresses through IPAM that is installed on a Server 2012 OS. Here is the procedure I have been following:
Login to IPAM server
Open Server Manager
In left-hand column select IPAM
In left-center column expand IP ADDRESS SPACE
Select IP Address Range Groups
Right-click the appropriate address range and select Find and Allocate Available IP Address
In new window, scroll down to Basic Configurations
I can input the basic configurations with no problem. DHCP Reservation Synchronizations look good too. But when I get down to DNS Record Synchronization, I can't do anything with the Forward lookup zones because nothing appears in the drop-down
lists and I cannot manually enter the zone name. Here is a screen shot of what I see at this point:
Without completing this information, I cannot complete the Address Reservation.
Any help or insight will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Tom,
This happens if your DNS servers that are managed by IPAM are not authoritative and primary for any zones, if they are not authoritative for the appropriate zones, or if there are not any DNS servers managed by IPAM.
See the examples below. Here my DNS server is authoritative for 4 forward zones and 2 reverse zones. I can choose any of the forward zones but assuming I pick a range such as 10.0.1.0, I would be unable to choose the 168.192.in-addr.arpa zone because the
IP addresses do not match.

Archmobile: GTA02 freerunner does not appear as network interface.

I installed Archmobile on my GTA02; unfortunately it seems my microSD is one of those where the GTA02 is unable to boot from.
Consequently I had to install in the NAND. According to the ticket 121 I changed the
usb0 line to eth0 in rc.conf.
So, the installation went as follow:
- download a openmoko snapshot.
- changed the rc.conf.
- changed the fstab so that /dev/mtdblock6 is mounted as / with jffs2 filesystem. (other values: defaults 0 1)
- made a jffs2 image from the snapshot (just used jffs2 -o ../snap.jffs2 from the directory).
- flashed the openmoko rootfs with the jffs2 image
- flashed the bootloader with the provided one.
My intention was mounting /home, /var and /usr on the microsd, but to begin it is fine.
Finally I booted the device: Archlinux starts, but it fails on "Updating Module Dependencies". All other start-up messages say `Done' and even loading uevents is fast (less than one second).
The prompt arrives and waits (I also removed the `delete screen' from etc/issue)... unfortunately even if the ssh and network daemon is started when I connect the usb cable to my pc nothing is shown in dmesg, nor in lsusb. The phone seems not-there. Of course since there is no keyboard I cannot control anything.
What can try? I would really like to have arch on my phone and possibly support the archmobile community.
Maybe a module is not loaded, but what one? If so adding it to MODULES might help?
Or the Update Module Dependencies is a critical failure? How can I explore the matter?

Wish some Apple folks would chime in...
Apple is not here. Even if they might rarely monitor these boards, they will not respond. We're all users, just like you.
Suggest that you open Macintosh HD > Applications > Utiltiies > AirPort Utility
Click Manual Setup
Click the Wireless tab below the icons
Click the Wireless Options button
Check one more time to see if you still have the 5 GHz Name option enabled. If not, enter a check mark and click Update to save the new settings.
If 5 GHz is enabled, temporarily disable the setting and Update. Then go back in and enable the setting again.
If you still cannot "see" the network from any device, about all that you can do at this point is reset the Time Capsule back to factory defaults and try the configuration again to see if it will "take". Lion is causing some strange issues, and this may be another.
If this is not successful, then it's time to contact Apple support or arrange a visit to an Apple store to let them take a look

Outlook 2013 client, not in domain, can't connect to the Exchange 2013 server.

A colleague and me are in the process of rebuilding our Hosted Exchange servers. Everything is working perfectly except for the local Outlook 2013 clients. They are not in the domain but in the same network (through VLANs) as our Exchange server, and still
they can't connect to Exchange without the use of Outlook anywhere. If we use Outlook Anywhere, it connects perfectly. If I ping the Exchange servers (1 CAS, 2 MBX servers) I get response with the right IP addresses.
We've tried to create a new profile, this goes without problems. We enter the FQDN (or IP address) of CAS server and the required usersname, and the FQDN gets resolved to the correct MBX server where the mailbox resides on. We complete the whole wizard and
then start Outlook. We then get the error that Outlook can't logon to the Exchange server.
Is this an authentication setting that is wrong or do we need to use Outlook Anywhere if the PC is not in the same domain as the Exchange server?

Agree with Martina, all Outlook clients use RPC over HTTP to connect to Exchange 2013. if the server version is Exchange 2013 SP1, only Outlook 2013 SP1 use MAPI over HTTP to connect to server after we enable the protocol MAPI over HTTP.

TS1398 Forget this network does not appear. It only allows me to join a network.

The forget this network does not appear... Only gives me option to join network. I need to forget network. I hit the i button and it doesn't appear.

Odd...the only other thing I can suggest is to reboot the Wi-Fi network at work (if you can) and try again.
EDIT: Do you use something called Quickconnect client to setup a wireless connection? If so, this may help:

To remove the wireless profile from an iOS device:
Go to Settings > General > Profiles
Select the profile you wish to remove (eduroam or UI-Wireless-Setup, for example)
Select Remove
If asked, enter your device’s security PIN number
Other than that, I'm out of ideas.

I am trying to set up Sharing amongst several computers on my home network. I have followed all the setup instructions but after completion Sharing does not appear in my iTunes window (on any of the computers I've set up). There is no explanation why.

I have been trying to set up Sharing between two computers on my network. I did this once and it worked. However, when I try to set this up now the Sharing feature does not appear on the left side of the iTunes window (on either computer). There is no explanation as to why not. Is this a configuration problem, a network problem or what? Can it be fixed? I have tried turning sharing off and back on on both computers but to no avail. What am I missing? Thanks for any help you can provide.

Thanks for the question, and welcome to Apple Support Communities.
If, while searching through your past purchases, items are unavailable to download and show a "Purchased" button, they are still on your computer. It may be best to search your iTunes library by clicking Music, then use the search bar at the top right.
If you are completely sure the items are no longer in your library, try signing out of the iTunes Store, and then back in.

Instant Client on 64-bit Windows 7: Driver does not appear in System DSN

Instant Client on 64-bit Windows 7: Driver does not appear in System DSN tab when creating a new Data source.
What I did so far:
I downloaded the basic and odbc zips for Window 64-bit.
Unzipped the basic zip.
Unzipped the odbc zip to the same directory.
Added the dir path to the System Environment Variable called Path.
Double-clicked on the odbc_install.exe to run it from Windows Explorer.
Then I tried to add the driver to create a new data source but it does not appear in the list of drivers.
From a cmd window, I navigated to the instant client directory and tried to run odbc_install again.
I got the message: Oracle ODBC Driver with same name already exists.
What am I missing?

Windows Server 2012 Group Policy Block USB Storage devices @ User Level Not getting applied on a Domain Client machine with Windows Server 2008 R2. Why?

I have a Windows Server 2012 R2.
I have configured the Group Policy on it to block the usage of USB - Storage Devices @ user level on the client machines. It works properly for my Windows 7 client machines but it's not working on one of the machine having Windows Server 2008 R2 installed
on it (this machine is also a domain client in the same domain).
I will really be thankful if anyone can suggest some solution to this issue.
Please feel free to write back in-case I have missed anything obvious to be shared.
