Dreamweaver File Creation Issues on OSX

OSX 10.4.10 on a Mac Pro w/ 4GB of Ram
Dreamweaver CS3 9.0
Web Server Apache 2.x on Windows 2K3 SP2 w/ Coldfusion 8
So, I have Dreamweaver setup to connect to a local share on
the web server and editing files on it directly. I create a folder,
we'll say FOLDER1, then inside it create two more folders, IMAGES
and INCLUDES. The second folder is created by duplicating the
IMAGES folder by selecting it and hitting appl-c, appl-v. I create
two files in the FOLDER1 root, index.cfm and setup.cfm, as well as
creating a file in the INCLUDES folder, functions.cfm.
So far so good... but this is when the fun starts.
When the file list refreshes, the functions.cfm file is shown
to be located in both the IMAGES and INCLUDES folders. Browsing
with OSX to the Windows Share, it shows two IMAGES folders, both
with functions.cfm files that are the same, and no INCLUDES folder.
Browsing with the command line, it should both the IMAGES and
INCLUDES folder, but the functions.cfm file is only in the IMAGES
folder. Deleting the hidden ._ files that OSX creates does not fix
the problem.
I suspect this is some bug in the duplicate file command, but
you can quickly lose work, and I have, due to this bug. I have
cloaking enabled, but not caching. I do not use cloaking.
Thoughts? Is this a known bug?

This is a bad start in my opinion. Are you doing this because
it appealed
to you, or is there some other constraint at work?
Would working with truly local files be a hardship in your
environment? It
will avoid all of the issues you are mentioning.

RFBIBL00 Flat File Creation issue

Hello All,
I'm using "RFBIBL00" to post the FI documents, and the input to the FB01 transaction screen is obtained from a flat file from AL11 directory.
The issue here is regarding the date format of the Document date and Posting date. If the date format is as YYYYMMDD in the flat file, and if I'm using the date parameter (in the default option of one's SAP own data) other than starting with YYYY, the document is not getting posted and it is throwing error saying that date format is not correct. If I have chosen the date format starting with YYYY, then the document is getting posted successfully.
Any suggestions/ideas to make the date format as independent?

I think you'll have to use the appropriate conversion exit for the same. Choose from the below options which suit you.
SAP Internal format is 'YYYYMMDD' Example: '19990123'

The date coming in from the flat file will certainly tick to one particular format i guess.

Download Helper, even with paid converter upgrade, gives "Invalid Capture File" errors and will not record audio, with "File Creation Error - Unable to rename/copy audio file" Error.

Download Helper Screen Capture worked to capture video if the default "no audio" option is active. But, no audio. The "speakers" or "microphone" audio options are confusing....the audio to be captured is from the video, so what do you choose? With either "speakers" or "microphone" selected, the captured file has poor audio and no video. Re-capture efforts (speakers) get "Invalid capture file error" and "File Creation error- Unable to rename/copy audio file"
The paid upgrade of "Converter" doesn't work.
Instructive documentation - not very good.
Suggestions - Need time delay between initiation of "Record" and starting the video to be recorded.
Could use timer tracking of the record process.

Sender File adapter Pooling interval & file Size issue

Hi ALL,
I have a file size of 400 MB to be picked to be the sender file adapter i am facing issue that the system is unable to even pick the file and place in the Q for Processing.
1)we have no mapping no content conversion ....only pick the file from one loaction and place it in 3 different locations with 3 different names ...can any one help me in solving this .. ? the best workable method to achive this .
2) this file is getting created once in a day .say 2 PM .so i can give the poll intravel to 24 hours ..but some times ..the file creation in server gets delayed ..but they cont wain for the next 24 hour to come for processing the file ..so my query is can we reduce the poll intravel for 2 PM till 3PM hour for some 3 times ..and once it reches 3PM it can poll as usual with a gap of 24 hour time ..

Never use File adapter for picking large file (maximum size which I have seen it to work successfully is 200 MB)

Excel file creation on application server

Gurus,
I have seen a lot of threads on excel file creation in application server, but failed to see if anyone had a solution.
Problem: In background execution I need to create an excel sheet on application server, the data would be contained in internal table, The FM like WS_DOWNLOAD etc..cannot support these as they have GUI component.
All the documentation that I have been through states to use dataset which saves the file in.csv or txt format seperated by delimiter, is it possible to save as a true excel file.

10.6.7 - general pdf creation issues?

I wondered whether anyone else had run into this issue after updating to 10.6.7 when using pdfs created by Preview - perhaps related to the pdf/font issue.
If it is generally happening, then the 10.6.7 pdf-font issue has an even larger
impact than previously described:
1. Open a pdf document in Preview
2. Select a region and save to clipboard
3. Save as a new pdf file
4. Then try importing it as a "Picture" into any of the new Office 2011 apps: Word, PPT, etc.
This crashes my office 2011 apps (latest version, 14.02) But NOT any earlier version of Office (2008. etc.), which may not do as much pdf checking.
Before the 10.6.7 upgrade (ie, 10.6.6), this never happened with Office 2011.
Acrobat complains when opening the Preview-created pdfs about 'missing fonts', so I suspect some sort of pdf creation issue.
Any fixes (besides the previously suggested one of downgrading to 10.6.6)
If it's a real bug (not just local to my system), then it's a more far-reaching one than previously described.

That is wrong because it only involves OpenType Postscript fonts.
The only solution offered so far is to "downgrade by doing Archive & Install" and
then re-applying each Combo Upgrade, starting with 10.6.3 up to 10.6.6.
You wouldn't have to do that either. That is the point of a Combo update. You only need to apply the one you want. It includes all of the previous updates.

Nfs mount point does not allow file creations via java.io.File

Folks,
I have mounted an nfs drive to iFS on a Solaris server:
mount -F nfs nfs://server:port/ifsfolder /unixfolder
I can mkdir and touch files no problem. They appear in iFS as I'd expect. However if I write to the nfs mount via a JVM using java.io.File encounter the following problems:
Only directories are created ? unless I include the user that started the JVM in the oinstall unix group with the oracle user because it's the oracle user that writes to iFS not the user that creating the files!
I'm trying to create several files in a single directory via java.io.File BUT only the first file is created. I've tried putting waits in the code to see if it a timing issue but this doesn't appear to be. Writing via java.io.File to either a native directory of a native nfs mountpoint works OK. ie. Junit test against native file system works but not against an iFS mount point. Curiously the same unit tests running on PC with a windows driving mapping to iFS work OK !! so why not via a unix NFS mapping ?

have done as requested via Oracle TAR #3308936.995. As it happens the problem is resolved. The resolution has been not to create the file via java.io.File.createNewFile(); before adding content via an outputStream. if the File creation is left until the content is added as shown below the problem is resolved.
Another quick question is link creation via 'ln -fs' and 'ln -f' supported against and nfs mount point to iFS ? (at Operating System level, rather than adding a folder path relationship via the Java API).

Batch Changing Dreamweaver files from XHTML to HTML

Almost all of my Dreamweaver files were created in XHTML
mode. In other
words, when I created a page and was asked whether I wanted
to make it
XHTML compatible, I said YES.
About the time I moved my websites from my PC to my Mac, I
finally
realized that XHTML is a lost cause and changed my doctypes
to HTML. But
I just discovered that even PHP include files that have no
doctype at
all automatically insert <br /> instead of <br>.
So I'm assuming that
there must be some invisible code that says "Format this page
for XHTML!"
So I'm wondering if there's a way to change every file in an
entire site
(or all my sites) from XHTML to HTML.

I use XHTML because it forces good coding practices such as
always closing
tags. The usual reason most people give for not using XHTML
is that IE
chokes when it is served as xml+application instead of text.
XHTML Strict
does not allow target="page.html" but transitional does so I
stick with
transitional.
I won't use XHTML 1.1 because I don't like the modularization
part of the
spec. I like a nice standard spec and don't want to create my
own picking
and choosing which modules to include.

Avoiding empty-file creation

Hi,
Is there any way to avoid empty file creation on the receiver side? I am using variable-substituton for file naming.

Once I faced a similar issue, a 0kb file though empty file creation "ignore" option was creating empty files.
Try to avoid empty files creation using
1. Receiver determination where you can check for required field, and generate target only if it appears
1. Message mapping by not generating a target structure
Again, it depends on your requirement on when these empty messages are getting created...
Can you tell us, on what cases is this empty file is getting created?

Output: /bin/bash
This means we need to edit Bash shell file .bash_profile.
[ora11g@rac1 ~]$vi /home/ora11g/.bash_profile
Add this line: umask 022
Then I save the file .bash_profile and reboot OS.
Then I run the following command:
[ora11g@rac1 grid] $ ./runcluvfy.sh stage -pre crsinst -n all -r 11gR2 -orainv ora11g -fixup -fixupdir /mydir -verbose
But the reusult is the same. The issue is not solved as follows:
Check default user profile creation mask:

Required: 0022
Comment: failed
Do any folk understand how to solve VM rac1 user profile creation mask problem ?

Intrastat export file creation

There is an issue for France that is related to intrastat export and import declaration file creation.
When export file is created in positions 62 to 63 (regime) they need value = 21 and for import file value = 11; I donu2019t know where this should be maintained.
Any body can help me.

Issue: The inv_comment is not printing on the PDF output.
I had the temp directory defined under the Admin tab.
I'm guessing if it's the LONG datatype of the long_text field that's causing the issue.
Anybody knows how this can be fixed? any help or advice is appreciated.

I have this query defined in my data template:

Issue: The inv_comment is not printing on the PDF output.
I had the temp directory defined under the Admin tab.
I'm guessing if it's the LONG datatype of the long_text field that's causing the issue.
Anybody knows how this can be fixed? any help or advice is appreciated.

Flash files with right click imported in dreamweaver files

Flash files created with Captivate which contain rightclick
functionality are imported to html files created in Dreamweaver. In
other words, I don't use the html created by Captivate but another
html file to build up a whole course. But now a couple of those
flash files contain a right click and obviously I have to adjust
the dreamweaver file with some of the script that William Heinz has
created. I am not an HTML expert and I am not 100% confident that I
can do with just endless try&error. Could anyone give me some
hints?
I suppose I need to use the second bit of William's article
"the more complex requirement".
When I insert the flash file this is what I get: (This is
where I am suppose to make the changes????)

I hope there is one person out there who can help me with
this issue.
I have started from scratch and created a blank html with
dreamweaver and inserted the flash file (with right click
animation) created with Captivate.
Then I made the adjustments as per Heinz and also included a
ID=Captivate1 as the RightClick.js refers to that.
The main difference between this html file and the html file
created with Captivate, is that the Captivate one also has
writedocument bit.
Anyway, is there anybody in the world who can give me
atip/hint/suggestion?????

Dreamweaver CS4 having issues after installing PS CS6 Beta

Hi All,
I'm having issues with Dreamweaver CS4 after installing Photoshop CS6 Beta. I'm getting the follwing erros when trying to open any html file (see attached image).
Once I click OK, the file will open, also now; any copy and paste commands will not work. Anyone else experiencing any problems with other apps after installing this beta version?
Any help and feedback is much appreciated, thanks!

Just a thought ...
This may help!
Uninstall the Beta Version of Photoshop CS6 now and then restart your computer and see if that works.
Open the CS4 programs and see if that fixed the problem and it is all working as it should again.
It is worth a try!
