DTM install fails with Windows 7 and Oulook 2007

I installed a clean version of Windows 7 and preceeded to install applications. Installed Office pro 2007 with Outlook. Set up my msn mail account with POP (tried) and install recommended installing Live Connector for mail instead. Did that. Outlook syncs with MSN Live. All OK so far. Downloaded DTM 5.0.1. from BB. DTM connects to my 8830 ok and gets the PIN. Go to configure for first synchronization. Pick outlook from list, calender sync both ways, all items (tried future and date range too), and DTM congratulates me on successful configure. I immediately get a Microsoft Outlook Connector Error "No available message stores". Same for Tasks, Memo, and Address book. I've read this is a MAPI.dll problem and I should delete the file and run FIXMAPI. Can't do it. Mapi.dll is owned by Trusted installer and I dont want to mess with the ownership if I dont have to. If I do, is there a step by step procedure? Is there a batch file fix? The PC is a an ASUS 1000HE with 2Gb RAM, 320 Gb HD. I updated the BIOS to V1104 (latest for W7) Everything ran perfectly under XP Pro.  I don't think win7 is going away. When is a version of DTM going to be available that runs under windows 7?

Spoke to MSN Tech support. DTM does NOT work with MSN Live connector.Had to delete LIVE connector account and data file.  I had MSN help with setting up POP3 configuration.DTM now works as expected. Incoming server is: pop3.live.com and Outgoing is: smtp.live.com. I didn't know "live" was in the server address's and had not seen this info on other forums. Hope this helps.

    Error 1935 and HRESULT= 80073712. Have tried to run via Run As Administrator.  It seems to get most of the way through before failing.  (Without Run As Admin, it fails much earlier complaining about a cab file not found.)

    Also can I get you to re-name the install shield folder which is located under C:\Program files\common files.  Once you re-name the folder, then try to install the software.

  • Hotsync problem with Windows 7 and Outlook 2007

    Hello,
     I try to make contact between my Palm Tungsten E2 and outlook 2007 on my laptop with Windows 7 for synchronizing.Before this, I worked on this laptop with Windows Vista and also Outlook 2007.I installed the standard software and after that the update for outlook 2007 (palmoutlook2007conduits.zip (7.2MB)).In Vista this was working well, but not in Windows 7.I can see in the soft ware part that palmoutlook2007conduits is installed, but the in the log book I still have the same errors :
    - Not Synchronized
    Outlook Contacts synchronization failed
    When I go to the settings, also there is the same error : “This version of Outlook is not supported by the Outlook Conduit application. Supported outlook versions are Outlook 98, 200, XP(2002) and 2003.”. It looks like the upgrade with palmoutlook2007conduits have no effect in Windows 7. 
    I hope someone have a solutions for this problem.

  • DTM install fails with error 1935

     Installing DTM 6.0, downloaded from the web, for the first time on a Windows 7 (64-bit) Lenovo laptop consistently fails with error 1935 well into the install.  Tried installing as Administrator, but that did not help.
    Any ideas?

    this is a Windows error. Please check the below description. Most of the win 7 (x64) users reported this error with various application that they wanted to install.
    Cause: Error 1935 takes place when the system is misconfigured or its essential files are missing. Such problems occur when a PC is not maintained properly and has accumulated many critical issues that require immediate repair.
    Solution: Check http://www.restoreguard.com/p/download/go2.php for downloading a repair tool. I found this tool while searching internet.

    JSE8.1 (based on NetBeans 5.0) is not supported on Vista. You may want to consider using the latest NetBeans 5.5.1. (NetBeans is where all future development is planned for).

    From the release notes of NB551:
    # Issue #85361: NetBeans 5.5 installer does not start on Windows Vista.
        Description: On systems running Windows Vista, the NetBeans 5.5 installer fails to start
    and a message suggesting running with the "silent" or "console" flag appears.
        Workaround: To correct this, run the installer on JDK 6.0 build 96 or newer.
        If you encounter further difficulties, disable Compatibility Mode manually. You can do
    this by right-clicking the .exe installer file and choosing Properties from the pop-up menu,
    then deselecting Compatibility Mode in the Compatibility tab of the File Properties dialog.
    Note that if Compatibility Mode was turned on automatically, it is necessary to disable it
    for both the current user AND all users. To do so, click the "Show Settings for All Users"
    button, then deselect the Compatibility Mode checkbox in the "Compatibility for All Users"
    dialog.You can try the same workaround for installing jse8.1, to see if that works. But, it is an older version that is not supported on vista and hence my suggestion to consider a later version of NB.

  • Crystal Ent 10 install fails with Error 1920 and services won't start

    apologies if i'm posting to the wrong group.  just let me know what the appropriate group is and i'll be happy to post there.  i'm new to Crystal and this is my first installation of Ent so i'm completely lost, but here's my problem. 
    i'm trying to install Crystal Reports 10 and Enterprise 10 on a Windows Server 2003 SP1 server logged in as Local Admin and running the install locally (as opposed from a network location).  i have IIS installed and .Net Framework 2.0 installed as per my software vendor's requirements. 
    the Reports 10 install goes fine, but when i near the end of the Enterprise 10 install, each of the services fails to start.  the message for each is a pop-up that states Error 1920. Service 'Crystal Cache Server' (CasheServer) fiailed to start.  Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start the system services.  i clicked Retry on the 1st one (Crystal Cache Server) but it still fails to start.  so i clicked Ignore on all of them so i can get past each one and check the Services window to see what account they are running under - it's Local System account as i'd expect.  At the end of the install, i'm asked if i want to logon to the CMS and i chose No since i'm not familiar with Crystal at all but figured it's not going to work since the services wouldn't start. 
    i can't start them from the Services window or from the Crystal Configuration Manager - i get a message stating it failed to start in a timely fashion. 
    my co-worker and i noticed that after the install, and the MSDE install that CE does, there are the CE10.mdf and CE10.ldf files but it doesn't create 4 tables that expect to see when comparing this to our Test environment that our consultants set up.  we think this is at the heart of it, but we simply don't know.  can anyone help?

  • Oracle 7 install fails with Windows XP SP3

    After installing Windows SP3 on systems with XP Professional 32 bit, we cannot install Oracle 7.3.4, which is required for an older 16 bit program. Running the Oracle 7 setup.exe returns an error "setup.exe is not a valid Win32 application". The installer file is not corrupt, we can still run the setup successfully on any computers that still have XP Pro SP2 installed.
    However, systems that had Oracle 7.3.4 installed prior to the Windows SP3 update will run the software OK; it is just new installations of Oracle 7.3.4 that fail.
    I have tried running the install off of a CD, network drive, and copied the files to the local machine, all return the same error. I have tried different users all with Admin privileges. I tried installing with each compatibility mode checked, clean booting the machine, and updating Windows Installer. I always get the "setup.exe is not a valid Win32 application" error.
    Any suggestions or info?

    Here is some updated information.
    Systems that have been in service for a long time and updated from Windows XP Pro SP2 to SP3 will not run the Oracle 7 installer. All machines that still have SP2 will run the installer.
    However, systems that we recently formatted and reinstalled Windows XP Pro with SP2, and then updated to SP3, will run the installer for Oracle 7 with SP3 already installed. This indicates that it is not SP3 that is the issue. It could be an update that was done in the past (Microsoft or another software vendor), or some different file that is on the other machines (same brand, models, and OS, just been in service without being formatted recently).
    We also have Oracle 10g on all the systems, but the old CrisPlus program probably won't run with Oracle 10g, because we have to add "C:\ORAWIN\BIN" to the system Environmental Variables or we get a "Ora7win.dll" error when launching the CrisPlus program. An Oracle expert or programmer may know how to work around this issue, but I do not know how.
    This does give us options to fix the Oracle 7 issue. Either rollback the SP3 update and then install CrisPlus prior to the installation of SP3, or format the systems and reinstall Windows XP Pro, Service Pack3, and Oracle 7.

    Use the Toshiba recovery disk or the Toshiba HDD recovery option.
    If you dont have the Toshiba Recovery disk try the HDD recovery:

    This works only if the recovery image files from Toshiba are still on the HDD:
    If you installed the system using another disk as Toshiba recovery disk, this recovery option will not work.

  • Itunes 9 just installed along with Explorer 8 and Windows Live...

    Hello- Itunes says cannot connect with store sometimes, but then connects at other times. Then diagnoses says cannot creat secure link with store. Then it was all good and I bought an album.. it didn't download 3 of the songs, will I get charged? Also, how can I trouble shoot the connection. I have firewall set for allowing Itunes. I have recently upgraded to Explorer 8 with Windows Live and installed Itunes 9. My high speed connection and router are 100% a-ok. Will someone please suggest any cures for these issues, I like Itunes and would like to continue to use the store but this is the first bummer I've had so far...

    I am not sure about intermittent secure connection failure, but something you could try which often works with isolated secure connection failure is this:
    Go to Internet Options>>Advanced tab.
    Uncheck "Check for server certificate revocation".
    This should normally be checked, but it can sometimes cause connection problems. I also seems like something that could be intermittent.

    You can either buy a CS6 perpetual license, or Creative Cloud subscription.  Both will run on the two computers you mention.  You are allowed two installation with either version, but they must be for the same user. There is a cheap as chips Photography deal that gives you Photoshop and Lightroom for just $10/month, and feature gap is ever widening between CS6 and CC
