Dual scales- How do I designate which (Min Max)attribute node goes to which "Y" scale?

Labview 6.i front panel with a chart, multiple plots, several transducers, thermocouples, Vdc, power monitors.
I need a dual "Y" scale for a new application. I had no problem making the duplicate scale and designation which plot goes to what scale, however, when zooming in on a section of the plot and then resetting the chart with the minimum and maximum scaling attributes, it only resets the "0" scale ( -30 to 500) not the "psig" scale (-300 to 5000). How do I designate which (Min Max)attribute node goes to which "Y" scale?
I will be upgrading to 7.1.1 this week, is a new tool available to do this? Thanks

Hi
Download example about scales.
:ni example
See attached doc. Once you select an y active scale, all Y scale modifications affect that scale.
It works like select active cursor.

  • How to find out the min & max partition_id in a range partition?

    Hi we have a table set up by range partition
    In the table creation script. It goes something like:
    PARTITION PARTD_CUST_3_1_NEW VALUES LESS THAN ('39500')
    so how we can find out this number '39500' from some of the data_dictionary view?
    What we want to do is to set up parallel processing (do-it-yourself) based on partition.
    So the number of parallel process will be based on this ID-range.
    I can find out how many partitions are there by using something like this:
    SELECT COUNT(*)
    FROM all_tab_partitions WHERE table_owner='OWNER_NAME' AND table_name='TABLE_NAME'
    We have 5 partitions now but the table structure can change in the near future even this table has moer than 130Million rows
    I do not want to hardcode this "39500" just in case the table structure changes (partition structure changes)
    Any idea ??

  • Can anyone please tell me how the attribute node in LABVIEW ( ver 5) in builtin INSTRUMENT I/O exampe file

    Can anyone please tell me how the attribute node in LABVIEW ( ver 5) in builtin INSTRUMENT I/O exampe file works and how it is being made.............

    Samura,
    After running LabVIEW 5.1 I found in the Search Examples help file a link titled Instrument I/O. Under there I see several examples, one of which contains many attribute nodes. It is difficult for me to tell you pecifically what the purpose of each and every attribute node in this forum.
    Generally, attribute nodes in LabVIEW 5.1 are used to set the properties of the front panel controls and indicators. The properties available in an attribute node are very similar to the properties made available by right clicking on a particular front panel control or indicator.
    If you have a question about a specific attribute node, I would like to ask you to post in a new thread with a detailed description of the attribute node.
    Thank you, and have a great day

  • In a Smart Group in AddressBook 6.1, how do I designate which email addresses I want to use?

    In a Smart Group in AddressBook 6.1, how do I designate which email address I want to use for contacts who have more than one address when I'm mailing to the whole group? The "Edit Distribution List" is grayed out.

    Thanks, Barney, but that's not really my question. The "Edit Distribution List" is in the Edit menu on my version, too, but I can't use it to edit the email addresses of contacts who are in Smart Groups. In the version of AddressBook I was using before I bought a new MacBook Pro and upgraded to Mac OSX Lion, I could use the "Edit Distribution List" to pick which email address I wanted to use for contacts in Smart Groups with more than one address. Apparently that isn't an option in Lion. The Help menus for AddressBook 6.1 even say that "Edit Distribution Lists" doesn't work for Smart Groups.
    Okay. I get that. But some of my contacts have more than one email address, so how do I choose which email address I want Mail to use for these contacts when I send an email to a Smart Group they're in?

  • How to set physical min/max values for a scale in xy graph?

    Hello,
    I have troubles with the way LabView handles physical units in xy graphs. In particular, I use a time scale for the x axis.
    The values are timestamps and have the unit [s]. Now I want to read write the min max values for this scale via
    property nodes. It seems that the properties for min max do not support the use of the unit I use for the data for
    that same axis. This is very inconvenient and I am not even sure which kind of data to use at all for this properties.
    Is it simply converting to/from [s] using the unit converter?
    (I am using LabView 7.1 for the programm in question).
    Thanks,
    Olaf

    Hi Olaf
    "It seems that the properties for min max do not support the use of the unit I use for the data for that same axis."
    What are the units you are using? can you make it a littlebit clear.
    You can change the units also using Property node.
    Just check the attachment once. If that is what you are looking for, then the problem is solved.

    My ipad mini just updated to IOS 7 and the scales of my wall paper changed.  How do I correct them?

    I am having the same issue with the sound echo on my iPhone 4S. It seems OK when I talk on the phone, but all the alert sounds do it. It did not happen with the first update to ios 7, just after I updated last night to ios 7.0.2. If anyone figures out a solution, I would love to know. The echo is irritating. Thanks!

    No, sounds like when you dropped it an cracked the screen it may have also damaged the logic board or the repair person damaged a cable.

  • Charts- how to include data points outside of min/max ranges?

    I'm trying to have a chart that has a horizontal datetime axis showing a full day of info collected at irregular intervals and a linear vertical axis that acknowledges but cuts off datapoints that are above a certain number.
    For the vertical axis I thought I could just apply min/max values to achieve this, but I've found that if I have a maximum value of 25, any datapoints with a value above that are simply removed from the chartseries.items dataset (was hoping I might get something like a plot point near the top with an arrow, or the line going off the top and coming back.. but it's simply removed from the dataset.)
    For the horizontal I was wanting to show a line all the way across regardless of where the first and last datapoints fell.. how I hoped to achieve this was to retrieve the points immediately following and preciding the period but limit the min max date, so that it would theoretically show the lines going off the edge but not the actual points.
    i've thought of a few things that might work...
    is there some way to have the vertical axis parabolic so that it's mostly linear from 0-20 and then values above that take cover much less space? I don't have any idea how I'd go about setting that up..
    I have also thought about placing a dummy point at the beginning and end of the datetimeaxis... ie..
    time = chart.minimum and
    value = (first value today - last value yesterday)/(time between first time today and last time yesterday)
    .. and then would have to make those points specifically not interactive.. and i don't know how possible that is.  Also if there's a way not quite so involved that would also be awesome.
    Any feedback on how to approach this is greatly appreciated!
    Or is there something built into flex already that I've missed?

  • Which mini for server?

    Hello,
    I'm considering a mac mini server to replace (or coexist with) my qnap ts-509 and I have a few questions. This is for home use but I do work from home as well with large files.
    The first is which model Mini should I get. The server version is a quad, is there real benefits running a server on a quad rather than the standard mini? My plan is to replace the hd for an SSd at home with max ram, but what are the benefits of the quad server mac as opposed to getting the base model then adding ssd, extra ram and lion server??
    Also, I currently have 5tb raided on my ts-509 and I am using about 1.8tb. Should I carry on using the qnap for storage with the mini providing server functions? Or should I move the qnap off site and set up a regular backup, in which case what would I use for fast raided storage? Something thunderbolt connected?
    BTW I have cat5e running around the house into an HP gig-e switch. The current qnap has 2 ethernets running into it for load balancing, can I achieve the same with a Ethernet to USB adapter?
    Sorry for the long post, any advice much appreciated!!!
    Max

    I went for the non-server dual core i7 with AMD GPU and am very happy with it.  Do quite a bit of Aperture work and it never misses a beat (so far).  I'm not a fan of integrated Intel graphics and wouldn't trust it for HTPC duties.
    I'm not sure how many/much of the 'server' functionality you're going to be using as it sounds more like file transfer and other tasks that could be accomplished through normal Lion.
    Unless I'm missing something I assume the two hard drives in the Mini Server are just as much of a pain to replace as the one in the non-server Mini so I didn't see the point of having a two hard disc Mini.
    For your requirements I would definitely look at how much of the server functionality you really need to utilise, and if the answer is 'not much' I'd recommend the i5 or i7 non-server Mini with AMD GPU and some sort of NAS, plus a sensible offsite backup plan for your data.

  • When creating a new document, how do I designate an AA  cover master and BB back page master?

    I am starting a new document with CS-5 that is a pamphlet with different header and footers on the cover page, back page and internal pages. How do I designate the AA cover page, BB back page and internal A Master pages in the page menu?

    After retiring from Sikorsky Aircraft as a design and development engineer for over 42 years, I volunteered to design and edit the Sikorsky Archive
    Newsletters, which we upload to our website at www.Sikorskyarchives.com .
    That is so cool. When I was 13 years old, you had my dream job
    I use this arrangement during the writing phase due to the ease of going from each page in numerical sequence. I can then print a PDF in numerical sequence for editing purposes. However, the printing facilities we use requires a 9 page 5 spread layout so that he can print the 8 page document properly. I cannot figure out how to get an in-line single page PDF for easily editing and correcting from the printing format. Any simple procedure for converting from one format to the other without loosing any of the final data would be most helpful, and sure increase my old brain functioning capability
    Well, usually when InDesign forum regulars hear something like this, they say "Imposition is the printer's job." I don't know if you are printing in-house, or if you're handing this off to a commercial printer. From your phrase "printing facilities we use" I'm guessing that you're printing it yourself. The way that I'd do this if I was going to print the booklet myself is: I'd design in "reading order" (1, 2, 3, 4... 8) and then use File -> Print Booklet to make a PDF that was set up correctly to be printed & folded with correct pagination (1, 8, 2, 7...). The output you get from Print Booklet is PDF only, so you keep your editable InDesign document in reading order, but your PDF is set up in booklet-printing order. (You can always export a PDF from InDesign if you want a PDF in reading order.)
    There are other solutions if you need more flexibility, but this is the solution that leapt out at me.

  • How do I identify the maximum length of video in iMovie which can be made into a dvd in iDVD, please?

    How do I identify the maximum length of video in iMovie which can be made into a dvd in iDVD, please?
    I made a sellection of video clips  > pressed on "share" > on iDVD >  after one hour of formating the message was under "project duration"  : "Your project exceeds the maximum content duration. To burn your DVD, change the encoder setting in the Project Info window."
    I have edited out some of the clips and waited anothe hour or so bu the same message appeared !
    I want to know in advance how long can be the video clip sellection for the quality of video chosen ( the best before HD).
    please help if ou can.
    thank you very much indeed.
    Michael

    It's trying to tell you to change the encoding setting:
    iDVD encoding settings:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=iDVD/7.0/en/11417.html
    Short version:
    Best Performance is for videos of up to 60 minutes
    Best Quality is for videos of up to 120 minutes
    Professional Quality is also for up to 120 minutes but even higher quality (and takes much longer)
    That was for single-layer DVDs. Double these numbers for dual-layer DVDs.
    Professional Quality: The Professional Quality option uses advanced technology to encode your video, resulting in the best quality of video possible on your burned DVD. You can select this option regardless of your project’s duration (up to 2 hours of video for a single-layer disc and 4 hours for a double-layer disc). Because Professional Quality encoding is time-consuming (requiring about twice as much time to encode a project as the High Quality option, for example) choose it only if you are not concerned about the time taken.
    In both cases the maximum length includes titles, transitions and effects etc. Allow about 15 minutes for these.
    You can use the amount of video in your project as a rough determination of which method to choose. If your project has an hour or less of video (for a single-layer disc), choose Best Performance. If it has between 1 and 2 hours of video (for a single-layer disc), choose High Quality. If you want the best possible encoding quality for projects that are up to 2 hours (for a single-layer disc), choose Professional Quality. This option takes about twice as long as the High Quality option, so select it only if time is not an issue for you.
    Use the Capacity meter in the Project Info window (choose Project > Project Info) to determine how many minutes of video your project contains.
    NOTE: With the Best Performance setting, you can turn background encoding off by choosing Advanced > “Encode in Background.” The checkmark is removed to show it’s no longer selected. Turning off background encoding can help performance if your system seems sluggish.
    And whilst checking these settings in iDVD Preferences, make sure that the settings for NTSC/PAL and DV/DV Widescreen are also what you want.

    i am using i pad mini. I am going through a issue in which i am not able to send mails to my work email add wherein i am able to receive emails from same email id.

    With one mailbox server in the production site and one in the DR site, you do not have high availability.  If the main site goes down, the cluster loses quorum and all databases dismount.  You must then force quorum or move the file share
    witness to restore quorum.
    I can't tell you why what you observed happened.  At the time of the problem I would have been looking at the transport queues to see what's queued and to where.
    I recommend you look at the configuration of your send connectors to ensure that none of them are dependent upon the DR site server.
    To send mail outside, you must allow relay.  To do this, I recommend you create a new receive connector that's configured to allow relay and restrict access to the application server to keep anyone else from using it to relay.  There are plenty
    of articles on the Internet that describe how to configure a relay connector.

  • How Well Does the Mac Mini handle Garageband?

    Hi, I'm wondering about how well the mini handles garageband. My sister may finally be leaning towards getting their first mac for her family. They are long time old version windows users, I think they have a 6 year old HP running Win2k still. So they don't do a whole lot with the pc as it is. They are a musical family, very involved with their church and school. She has finally realized that macs are widely used in music creation (even though I've been telling them that for years and she's starting to do some research on garageband. I recommended the mini since budget is a big priority for them. Am I setting them up to be disappointed? I've already told them to wait until the intel version is released since it will most likely be faster/more effecient. After spending say $800 for mini and non-apple lcd and 1gb of ram, would going the extra $500 to get the imac instead be the smartest route. Just concerned its either going to be not enough power (mini) or more then they're ready for (imac). Any thoughts?

    Hi Leandro
    I use GarageBand 3 on my mac mini without a hitch
    what so ever and I can even have several other fairly
    intensive apps up and running without it
    complaining.
    Considering that your sisters family are using the
    system that they currently own without really feeling
    that they are falling behind, the mac mini will be a
    fantastic advantage to their lifestyle. It's plenty
    powerful and it's pretty much silent meaning that it
    would make a great "first mac" for them to
    experience. With regards to the intel mac mini, we
    don't know that there is going to be one as of yet.
    Steve Jobs did however, announce that all Macs were
    going to be purely running on an Intel Core by next
    year, meaning that if Apple don't discontinue the mac
    mini line, it would be of a greater advantage. There
    is no indication as to when an intel chip will appear
    inside a mac mini, so you could well be waiting
    anything from a matter of days to months or even
    never!
    At the end of the day, the current mac mini, some of
    which are now shipping with a 1.5gHz G4 processor and
    64MB Graphics will be the perfect solution for your
    sister and her family.
    Hope this helps
    -pos
    thanks for the quick reply. I am concerned about them having a positive first experience with a mac, I've been preaching it to them for a good ten years now! Her husband is the real stubborn one, he would need the most convincing. Good to know that it runs well on the mini and with such praise. Which model do you have and did you max the ram? I told her about the hard drive/hub stack kit which would have a faster drive to boot from. I forgot about the 1.5's. I was sure it was a rumor. Didn't know about the 64mb video card though...that would be a great boost as well!

  • How to set min & max connections for  MSSQLconnection pool

    Hi,
    I want to set minconnection, maxconnection, idletimeout initial limit for the pool
    I have got a MSSQL database connection using following java code.
    // MSSQL DbConnection Code

    ds.setServerName("10.50.50.51");
    ds.setPortNumber(1711);
    ds.setDatabaseName("test");
    ds.setUser("starhome");
    ds.setPassword("starhome");
    con = ds.getConnection();
    }catch(Exception e){}
    }In oracle i have passed min and max number of connection properties through setConnectionCacheProperties method.
    //Connection Pooling using Oracle Data Source:

    m_connSource.setDriverType("thin");
    m_connSource.setServerName(m_host);

    prop.setProperty("InactivityTimeout", m_inactivityTimeout);
    prop.setProperty("AbandonedConnectionTimeout", m_abandonedTimeout);
    prop.setProperty("ConnectionWaitTimeout", m_connWaitTimeout);
    m_connSource.setConnectionCacheProperties(prop);I dont know how to pass min and max number of connection properties for SQLServerDataSource. Is there any method available to pass min and max number of connection properties for SQLServerDataSource.
    Iam using Tomcat. I found one way to set min and max connections for pool by doing changes in context.xml and web.xml using below url http://tomcat.apache.org/tomcat-4.1-doc/jndi-datasource-examples-howto.html
    I dont want to touch tomcat configuration files. I need to set connection pooling properties which is independent of application server.
    Please anybody give solution for this?
    Thanks,
    Prisha

    Hi,
    you need to define your database under the DB Admin tab. In the Schema objects node you'll find Sequence Implementations, and there you can definde min max values as well as caching and increments.

  • How to clone 40 mac mini at the same time using network clone (like Ghost)

    how to clone 40 mac mini at the same time using network clone (like Ghost)
    Any Ideas ?
    Thanks

    Rather than a 100% identical clone to 40 Macs, I suspect you want the same basic image to be loaded on to those 40 Macs but will require some individualisation so that for example each has a unique computer name.
    NetRestore and System Imaging Utility can do this but a lot of people including myself prefer to use DeployStudio which has more capabilities. See http://www.deploystudio.com
    DeployStudio can be used to like NetRestore to restore an image to multiple Macs at the same time which is like multiple people downloading at the same time, but it can unlike the standard NetRestore also be configured to use multicast traffic which is more like a TV broadcast whereby multiple people receive the same transmission at the same time. This can be more efficient for imaging larger numbers of computers at the same time. For example 1Gbps shared between 40 computers is only 25.6Mbps each, but if you multicast a single transmission of 100Mbps to 40 computers then all 40 can listen to it at the same time and still be receiving 100Mbps even on the same network connection.
