Duty Rate in J1iex for Imports

Hi friends ... expericing strange problem at my end ...
I am doing imports process ....I created a PO with two materials with same values of below 7 conditions types (import duties)
Basic , ECess on Basic , HSECSS on basic
CVD , ECESS on CVD , HESCESS on CVD and Additional custom duty.
I did seperate MIRO for custom duty for each line
While capturing J1iex , system is displaying CVD duty rate for 1 line item , but for another it is not showing (Blank)
Even for the line , in which CVD duty rate is not appearing , other 3 duty rates ( ECESS on CVD , HESCESS on CVD and Additional custom duty) are coming perfectly and the duty values are correct for all 4 cenvatable conditions in j1iex (even for CVD).
In excise Defaults , I have maintained conditions types for CVD , ECESS on CVD and Additional custom duty.( Believe for HSECESS on CVD , there is no need to maintain condition type in Excise defaults , it is system hard-coded).
Wondering , what material sepecific setting governs DISPLAYING of CVD duty rate.
I did check J1ID for both material , but that is almost same.
Awaiting for your reply.
Regards
Shrey

As I mentioned, I did seperate MIRO for both line items and also capturing them in different excise invoice .....
The duty value is perfectly coming for BED (CVD part) but Duty percentage/Rate is not appearing ( it;s blank) for 1 line item.
The only difference in two line items is MATERIAL .....
Rest everything is fine in both line

  • Incorrect Duty Rates in ARE3 for Multiple Line Items

    Hi All
I have a scenario where 1 ARE3 Form is generated referring to 2 Excise Invoices (Both the Invoices have the same Material, Excise Chapter Heading, Tariff Rates, Ship-to-Party; only Quantities are different)
The issue until now was that in the 'Duty Values' Tab, the SE Cess of the 1st Line Item was getting copied into the SECess of the 2nd Line Item. Eg: If 3000, 60,30 and 4000,80,40 are the BED, ECS and SECess amounts, the SECess amount of 30 was getting displayed in the 2nd Line Item instead of 40.
This has since been rectified by applying OSS Note: 1046595 and the correct amounts are getting displayed. However, I have another issue: In the 'Duty Rates' Tab, the Excise Rates for BED, ECS and SECess for the 1st Line Item (1st Excise Invoice) are showing correctly, while 0 is getting displayed for the 2nd Line Item. This results in the ARE3 Form Printout displaying 0 as the Duty Rates for the 2nd Excise Invoice.
Would appreciate if anyone has come across such a scenario and how this was addressed
    Regards
    Ramana ND

    Hi Murali
Both the OSS Notes have been applied. My question was on the Duty Rates not appearing in the Duty Rates tab and not the BED, ECess or SECess amounts on the Duty values tab. The amounts are coming out just fine.

  • Exchange rate in GR for imports

    All SAP Gurus,
When we make PO for imported material, we can define exchange rate.
After that when go for GR (MIGO), system pick up which exchange rate (exchange rate maintained in PO or current exchange rate)?
    Regards,

    Hi,
In PO if u tick indicator Besides Exchange rate - Fixed then GRN will be take place at that exchange rate.

  • J1iex for imported item

    Hi friend,
i am having a problem while posting the excise invoice for imported item.
previously the entry was correct. and cenvat clearing account (CVD) (2401009) was being picked up at the time of J1iex .
then somebody interfered in the system and change d to other G/l (2401004). as a result last month all entry went wrong in other G/l.
again i corrected the settings for ETT-GRPO and Subtran type IP. again system is picking the same G/l 2401004.
can any body tell me any reason for that, or some other ETT is responsible for that.

    Hello,
Check CVD G/L account in Company code settings and the same G/L account is available in "G/L accounts per excise transaction"
Here if you set the correct G/L account then system will take correct G/L account while J1IEX if subtransaction type IP

  • Duty Rate determination Issue

    Hi Experts,
We are in the process of implementing Customs Management for US, Canada and Mexico. I am having an issue when a duty rate is determined for canadian imports. Even though I use the same/similar country group settings for US, CA and MX, when I try to create a import customs document, when I try to determine the duty, I am getting pop up window, giving me an option to select a specific duty rate based on the country group. From the log I understand that system is not able to determine the duty rate due to several country groups are determined.
I tried to reconfig for automatic determination, but not able to resolve it. Can you guys please help me to understand what are the config steps and how the country groups work, and how to address this issue.
    Thanks a lot in advance
    Vijay,

    Hi,
    Here are my findings.
    1. Analyzed the dataprovider file, and found that the B0004 duty category (preferential duty) was defined for many different country groups, especialy for Canada. For ex, imports from Mexico into CA, there are many preferential agreements between those two countries, so MX is part of more than one country group. Further I understood we cant modify this file everytime.
    2. I defined a legal regulation for CA customs processing, uploaded the HTS XML file and duty rate XML files, when I checked, all the defined country groups are added and activated for the legal regulation. Due to this, when an import happens from MX, system finds more than one country group and was not able to determine one duty rate for B0004 category.
    3. I manually removed the unwanted country groups(kept only what is relevant for my client's business scenarios), then system determined the duty correctly and it works fine. But all the country groups are reassigned to legal regulation when I reload the duty rate files into the system.
So I am wondering, is it a standard practice or is it advisable to repeat the step 3 whenever a new duty rate files are loaded into the system. Is there any other steps I am missing.
    Thanks a lot in advance.
    Vijay.

  • Calculate Excise amount as per duty rates check box in J1IEX

    Hi,
In J1IEX Duty rates tab, there is one check box as Calculate excise duty base on duty rates , but thta check box is Disable i How to make it as enable so that we can click to to recalculate the excise rate,
also my problem is that in case of import PO, the basic price in our PO is diffrent compare to basic price of custom . because custom is addding the basic frieght and insurance charges in Basic price, so while Doing J1IEX ref. to MIRO number it is taking properly amount of all excise duties but excise base amount is diffrent and when we correct the excise base amount as per custom Bill of entry all excise amount are change and it is not coming as per duty rates which are present i Duty rates tab so I want to recalculate it.
    regards,

    Hi ,
As per detail which I have mention in my question,  the process which we are following is after recieving import Material   first we are doing   MIRO  for custom delivery cost   and there we are entering tax amount as per custom bill of entry,   and we are getting the MIRO Documnet number    after that we are Doing    Capture Excise invoice thorugh J1IEX  and ref. document we are selecting as PO,  after pressing enter we get a small pop up window as customs invocie number  and year  there we are entering the MIRO document number and Year   then  ref. to that miro number  All duty and duty rates  are coming as per MIRO   but  Excise base amount is different  because it is coming from PO basic amount and there is diffrence between  Custom excise base amount and PO bae amount becasue  in custom bae amount they are adding frieght basic amount into excise base amount , and then  we have to correct amnually  exsice base amount in J1IEX   for all materials,  is this proceess is same in all  or we need to do some modification in pricing procedure or at any other place .
At bottom in excsie duty tab in J1IEX  there is one check box as Calculates excise amount base on excise duty  but that check box is also disable   How to make that enable.
I also have found one FM : J_1IEX_DEFAULT_EXCISE_DUTY,   by doing some changes in this FM we can get what we requied , is there any other solution to get our requirement.

  • Excise duty rates are not displayed in J1IEX

    Dear friends,
Excise duty rates (BED, ECS, SECESS) are not displayed in item level in excise invoice J1IEX, But excise values are updated correctly. I have maintained duty rates in J1ID. Kindly give your valuable inputs.
    Thanks and Regards
    ETR.

    Hi Maladri,
                   Thanks for your reply.
I have maintained my condition types BED, ECS, SEcess in respective fieslds of BED Condition, ECS condition, SEcess condition already, eventhough the % not updated in J1IEX Excise invoices.
But it has updated 10 days before all values came properly in J1IEX.
Can you explain which condition type we have to maintain in BED %, ECS%, SEcess % in Maintain excise defaults, I didnt maintain any condition types there. If it is the reason then how it updated correctly 10 days before?
    Kindly guide me
    Thanks and Regards

    Hello Pankaj,
I believe our MM colleagues could better help you (or consultant from component XX-CSC-IN-MM), but I'll try to as well.
    These notes seem promising
1319544 Validation for commercial invoice MIGO ref note : 1303077
1303077 Validation for commercial invoice entered in MIGO for import
1368698 No validation for reversed Commercial Invoice in J1IEX
1345945 MIGO doesn't consider Year to pick Commercial Invoice Number
    Hope this helps somehow.

Go to J1IEX- Change (Instead of Post). Try & change the rate.
But why do you want to change it in J1IEX? as duties are flowing from PO-MIRO.

    RB

    hello
In IMPORTs there shouls not be gr based inv verification as u have to pay to the customs first .Condition type for custem Duty are JCDB,JCV1 .Do  MIRO only assign plant delivery cost then save .Then MIGO as in standard process. Then MIRO for plant & goods received that is only vendor cost .
