Dynamic pass parameter URL iview Portal
Hi guys
i have url iview, this iview is assigned to a rol of anonymous user,
http://XXXXXXXX/irj/portal/anonymous?guest_user=Guest01
the ivew set automatically and i can see when user guest sign in.
this iview have 2 parameters i need this parameter, has set values with a link, like this
http://XXXXXXXX/irj/portal/anonymous?guest_user=Guest01¶meter1 = value1¶meter2 = Value2
i appreciated any help
Angel G.
Hi Angel,
So you are trying to pass two parameters to your iView that is embedded in a portal role that is assigend to an anonymous user... is that right?
What problems are you having? Does the iView not see the parameters if passed as part of the top level URL (e.g.
http://XXXXXXXX/irj/portal/anonymous?guest_user=Guest01¶meter1=value1¶meter2=Value2)?
Not sure if it is just a typo but you have blank spaces between your "=" signs in that URL you posted, there should be no spaces.
A bit more info and perhaps I can help more,
Simon

PopUp User&Pass / URL iViews / Portal cannot handle this?!
Hi There,
i`ve created some URL iViews and other iViews to Pages (Urls etc) that needs Authentification via User and Password.
So the PopUp comes up for User and Pass.. but when i enter the Data and click ok the PopUp comes up again and again... after 3 times i become the Message that the Page cannot be displayed etc...
When i open the URL in the Browser and put in User and Pass all works fine.
Only from Iviews from the Portal it works not.. it seems that the Portal cannot handle this?!?
Can someone help here?

Pass parameter from iView to AbstractPortalComponent
Dear All,
I have an iView (PAR iView) which invokes an AbstractPortalComponent. Is there any way by which I can
pass parameters to the AbstractPortalComponent?
Kind regards,
Sreejesh.Hi,
When ever you are invoking the Abstract Portal Component ,you would be passing the url.
The url can be appended with parameters as follows.
url?p1=v1&p2=v2,,where p1 and p2 are the parameters.
If you are directly calling the component from the Iview ,let us say in a new window, then you would write
this in a javascript function
<b>window.open('par.componentname')</b>
or you can use EPCM.doNavigate('target')
where target is the pcd path for the iview.I am not sure if the parameters can be appended in the same manner to the target,as shown above for url.
In the code of your abstract portal component,
you can write
IPortalComponentRequest request = (Iportal ComponentRequest) this.getRequest();
String parameter = request.getParameter("p1");

Dynamic Parameters in URL-IView
Hai,
I am using the ESS-framework and I want to create a link which calls an URL with dynamic parameters.
I have already created an URL-Iview with the example url:
http://a.nl:51800/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/pcui_gp~isr/IsrForm
And I also defined a resource and a service in the backend (Customizing)
My question is:
How can I dynamically generate the Parameters SCENARIO and MODE in the url using the URL input field in the defined resource?Hi Remco,
If you create several resources for the same webdynpro (isrform) you can pass params via the resource definition (URL params).
Your webdynpro application can be defined as:
- Webdynpro application (in the xss homepage framework) as a resource;
- URL resource linking to a portal page/iview (with params): url iview with params
- URL resource linking to a portal page/iview (with params): webdynpro iview with params
But before you are going to tweak with it, please try to find out if your url will work:
http://a.nl:51800/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/pcui_gp~isr/IsrForm?scenaro=SPEG&mode=CREATE.
If this works, then create an iview in the portal of the url type or webdynpro type. Does it still work with static params? If so, remove the static params from your iview properties.
Now try the following link:
http://yourportal:port/irj/portal?NavigationTarget=pcd_path_to_your_iview
If this works, check out the following link:
http://yourportal:port/irj/portal?NavigationTarget=pcd_path_to_your_iview&DynamicParameter=MODE%3DCREATE%26SCENARIO%3DSPEG
Everything after DynamicParameter must be encoded. To find out what the encoding is, just use google and search for your characher. As an example (let's find the = sign):
http://www.google.nl/search?hl=nl&q=%3D&meta=
%3D is the = sign
Last step:
Create a resource as described on top of this post.
This will be my approach to get this working
Good luck! -
Passing parameter from Iview to SAP WD ABAP application
Hi All,
Can we pass single / multiple parameter(s) from the Iview to the Webdynpro Component ? I mean we are calling a WD Component by executing its application from the Iview. In that process, is there a way we can send some parameters to the WD component from the Iview ? If yes, please let me know how.
Thanks and Regards,
Sayan GhoshHi Sayan,
It is possible to pass parameters from portal Iview to WD component. For that there is one property of Iview called
Application Parameters
You can pass value like this:
parameter1=value1 ¶meter2=value2

Passing parameter to a portal page that display a WSRP portlet ?
I have created, deployed and regisered a WSRP portlet to Portal 10.1.4. I also create a portal page used to render this portlet. I would like to pass in a parameter xx (thru the HTTPRequest) when calling this page and have it visible to the portlet inside the page. Something like http://host:port/portal/page/portal/myPortlets/portletA?xx=123 where
"http://host:port/portal/page/portal/myPortlets/portletA" represented my portal page and "xx=123" is what I want my page to see.
Is it even possible/support by Portal 10.1.4 ?
Thanks.

Pass parameters dynamically to url iview from web dynpro abap
Hi,
I am trying to pass 3 key-value pairs via absolute navigation to a URL iview.
The url expected is : http://www.sap.com?field1=value1&field2=value2&field3=value3
For this, I have done the following:
1) Created a url iview with the 3 parameters in get.
2) Used the pcd location of the url iview and referred it in the navigate_absolute method.
Following is the call:
CALL METHOD lr_port_manager->navigate_absolute
EXPORTING
navigation_target = wa_navigation-target
navigation_mode = wa_navigation-mode
use_sap_launcher = abap_false
business_parameters = l_bus_parameter_tab.
The l_bus_parameter_tab has the key-value pairs populated and I can see them populated.
However, when the url is being called the parameters are not getting passed. Am I missing anything to be passed?
Thanks.Hi Kumar,
I have followed your reccomendation and updated the code and iview properties.
The code now looks like:
l_parameter-key = 'userid'.
l_parameter-value = sy-uname.
INSERT l_parameter INTO TABLE l_bus_parameter_tab.
l_parameter-key = 'portal'.
l_parameter-value = 'test'.
INSERT l_parameter INTO TABLE l_bus_parameter_tab.
l_parameter-key = 'mode'.
l_parameter-value = 'I'.
INSERT l_parameter INTO TABLE l_bus_parameter_tab.
*End of business parameters population
CALL METHOD lr_port_manager->navigate_absolute
EXPORTING
navigation_target = wa_navigation-target
navigation_mode = wa_navigation-mode
use_sap_launcher = abap_true
business_parameters = l_bus_parameter_tab.
launcher_parameters = l_bus_parameter_tab.
However, when the method is called, it does nothing and the url does not get called.
When I manually add parameters to the url iview and preview it, it does the job.
For some reason, these parameters are not getting passed to the url iview or page.
Is there a limitation that parameters cant be passed to url iviews? -
Pass Dynamic Parameters to a iView
Hi,
We have a reuirement where we need to pass the URL iView Parameters dynamically..The link to access the URL iView needs to be constructed in R/3 with a parameter value(Example: Work Item ID), which is dynamic.
This constructed link will be send as part of a email. So each email sent will have a different parameter value.
Thanks in Advance.Hi Sethuram,
What type of application is the iView running? I can provide code if you'd like to call a BSP or ABAP Web Dynpro application directly. -
Pass parameter through standard page "import xml content and actions"
Dear Portal experts,
As you know, a standard portal page is configured to allow the import of XML file. It is located in the portal in the path system admin -> transport -> xml content and actions -> import
I configured a quick link u201Cimportu201D to the page so now the link http://myserver:port/irj/portal/import allows me to access directly to this screen.
What I would like to do now is to pass the parameter related to u201Cfile nameu201D through this screen meaning that I would like that http://myserver:port/irj/portal/ import/filename=C:\test.xml fills automatically the fields u201CXML fileu201D with C:\test.xml
Please do you know how to achieve this ?
Thank you very much and regardshi,
@Maksim :
When user launch an URL like http://myserver:port/irj/portal/ import/*filename=C:\test.xml, he is requested to provide username and password; as this link is a shortcut for the upload xml page, there is a check of authorization and only portal admin that have authorization and permission on this page/iview will be able to upload xml file through the URL. Hope this clarify.
@Kumar :
thank you for your answer. What a pity to not be able to pass parameter through standard portal page/iview particularly knowing that we can pass paramater through many kinds of iviews (transactional iview, url iview, VC iview...). I explored some option on file com.sap.portal.ivs.init.par but this was unsuccessful. However, thanks to this [link bellow|http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/Snippets/ComponenttouploadXMLfilewithPCD+objects], I was able to upload through URL the XML file.
The problem is that I can upload only XML file that are stored in the server not in the local user computer. My requirement is to be able to upload local XML file stored on user's computer.
If someone could provide and idea/solution, I would be very grateful.
Cheers -
Pass parameter jspx page to portlet
Hello guys, i have one question about portlet. Curently i have 2 application, 1 weblogic portal application and 1 portlet producer application. Both project was successfully setup. I already put 1 portlet created in the portlet producer into 1 page in the weblogic portal application. The problem is, how can i pass parameter from weblogic portal page (which i call the portlet) to the portlet. Thank you
Which type of portlet you are using jsr 168 /286 or oracle pdk or others ?
Why do you need to pass parameters from portal page to portlet ?
You can very well use taskflow to achieve the same thing in a much easier way that portlet way.
If you are using jsr 286 portlet then you have to try with WSRP Soap call to get the required parameter. but I am not sure on how to achieve the final goal.

Thx MarkusHi Markus,
You can take help of the following code snippet.
Here we are calling an Iview using absolute navigation and passing URL parameters as well
* Select the input value entered and then pass it to REM INQ application---------
DATA lv_inputbusobjid TYPE wd_this->Element_context-inputbusobjid.
DATA lv_path TYPE string.
DATA lv_tab_wd_param TYPE wdy_key_value_list.
DATA lv_str_wd_param TYPE wdy_key_value.
DATA lo_el_context TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_element.
DATA api_component TYPE REF TO if_wd_component.
DATA window_manager TYPE REF TO if_wd_window_manager.
DATA window TYPE REF TO if_wd_window.
DATA lo_api_component TYPE REF TO if_wd_component.
DATA lo_portal_manager TYPE REF TO if_wd_portal_integration.
* read the imput data first-------------
* get element via lead selection
lo_el_context = wd_context->get_element( ).
* get single attribute
lo_el_context->get_attribute(
EXPORTING
name = `INPUTBUSOBJID`
IMPORTING
value = lv_inputbusobjid ).
** call remuneration inquiry window using absolute navigation
CLEAR lv_tab_wd_param.
* Adding parameters
lv_str_wd_param-key = 'sap-wd-configId'.
lv_str_wd_param-value = 'CACS_REMINQ_CONF'.
APPEND lv_str_wd_param TO lv_tab_wd_param.
lv_str_wd_param-key = 'BUSOBJ_ID'.
lv_str_wd_param-value = lv_inputbusobjid.
APPEND lv_str_wd_param TO lv_tab_wd_param.
lo_api_component = wd_comp_controller->wd_get_api( ).
lo_portal_manager = lo_api_component->get_portal_manager( ).
if lo_portal_manager is BOUND.
* PCD
lv_path = 'ROLES://portal_content/com.sap.pct/specialist/com.sap.pct.erp.common.workset_reuse/com.sap.pct.erp.icmparticip.bp_folder/com.sap.pct.erp.icmparticip.15.bp_folder/com.sap.pct.erp.icmparticip.15.pages/com.sap.pct.erp.icmparticip.RemInquiry'.

Dynamically passing text and url-based images as an input parameter to cf8 report builder
I'm unsuccessfully trying to dynamically pass text and url-based images to a group footer or the detail section via an input parameter or even hardcoded. The field has the attribute 'XHTML Text Formating' set to True. The following are failed samples of a simplified value:
"<img height=’300’ alt=’Document’ width=’300’ src=’http://www.google.com/intl/en_ALL/images/logo.gif’ />"
or
"<img src=’http://www.google.com/intl/en_ALL/images/logo.gif’ />"
This just results in the above text being output. The end result would have various text and images from a database as input by a user, thus the reason I cannot just use the hyperlink information attribute as I could if it were a single known image. I tried rtf and pdf report types. Ideas?HTH,
Thanks. I'll keep that in mind, although I don't know how many images my user might need or what sizes so that might be tricky.
Since my target output is rtf so that MS Word can be used to edit the result, I added a pagebreak to a MS Word doc and used the resulting html source to replace the rich text editor source code for the page break, but that did not help either. The page break was so a user could add an image later. Something is wrong with the Report Builder related to intepreting XHTML, especially anything that has an attribute, including URL-based image links. I hope they try to provide another update before CF9. I doubt my client will be going to CF9 for some time, since they are just completing the migration to CF8.
