Dynamically value of the screen variable

I have created one box on screen. Box name is Suppose AA and Text also AA. How can I change the Box text name dynamically. Based on Plant field(in another box but same window) I wanted to change the Text from AA to Plant Value. Please let me know how can I do it.

If you are trying to do this in a dynpro, here is some code which illistrates that.

Personalization and Default values in selection screen variables

Hi everyone,
I have certain questions regarding Front end part:-
1)     Can we have multiple personalizations for a single user in Web templates; I know it is quite possible in BEx using Variants. Is there any such approach or any other solutions regarding it?
2)     In our project we had a range selection screen customer exit variable on 0CALMONTH, which is showing a default value of 07.2007 to 09.2007, although we have removed the default values from the query variable and also checked the customer exits where it is used, but still its showing the value. We cant delete and recreate the variable as such, as it is used in number of function module. Also these values are also transported to Quality system, where also its showing the same value.
Did anyone face such a situation before?
Eagerly waiting for a solution.....

Hi Chiran,
Please try with following approach for multiple   personalizations for a single user in Web templates.
While Defining Variable Choose the Option Copy personalization data from variable .
The Features of above approach is as follows.
1)It will personalize variable values for Input Variables for each user.
2)These values are saved for each variable as well as for user.
3) At the time of defining variable it will allow us to enter one or more default values.All these values are appear in the variable screen when u execute the query or Web Application.
So you can see the variable values in web also.Just try with this approach.
May be it will resove u r issue some extent.
Regarding u r Second Query Just try with Some tables, all the default values entries were saved in those tables. Delete default values from those entries.

I don't want it to be an EEM Event, I just want to run it from the (tcl)# prompt.
So I guess I'm asking if you can use cli_exec and other commands in the "namespace import ::cisco::eem::*" in a normal non-EEM script - can I do that?
This is the error I get:

How to assign a dynamic value to the value property of a button ?

I have a need, can i know how to assign a dynamic value to the value property of a button. Scenario is like follows...
This is a struts based web application
1. I have a file which consists of login user details (user name and his previlages) for a web application.
2. I got those user details, into a List.
3. When a user logged into the web app, in the home page there are few buttons. The type and number of buttons shown depends on the type of user/ user. (Buttons have different combination and the number of buttons available are not constant, they will vary from user to user).
4. for each button, there will be a different action. I can pass the value of a button to an action class, but here button must have a dynamic value.
Here is my test code:

Populating dynamic values in the combobox with XML form Builder.

I am trying to populate dynamic value in the combobox with xml form builder. I see the document saying create property group and document property Id with respecitive values. I am able to create the property group with system admin -> System config
-> KM -> CM -> Global services -> property Metadata -> groups with new button. and I am trying to create document property Id with value. I am not able to find the way to give value in the property. I am using EP 7.0 Sp 14. Please let me know how to sovel it

You can create new property metadata with System Admin > System Config > KM > CM > Global services > Property Metadata > Properties > New. Specify the values for this metadata as the ones you need to have in the combo box. Use allowed values parameter of the matadata to sepcify the values. Each metadata property will have unique property ID and you can map this property ID to your combo box in xml forms.
Give it a try.

say u have the field name as f_field1....
in the PBO of that screen initialize it....

A Java AWT, X11 problem posted in the weblogic ejb newsgroup. I haven't been in here for long, but
that has to be a first.
If you have the DISPLAY env variable set to :0.0, you have to be at the console on a Solaris box
running the XServer. 'xdm' I think is the code that has to be running. Also, I think the format is
<hostname:0.0> or better <hostname:0> unless you are on a multi-headed workstation. Something like:
export DISPLAY=hostname:0
where hostname is the name of the host running an XServer and the .xhosts file allows access to the
XServer from the display client.
Apparently, you are not at the console?
Anyway, I don't think there is a newsgroup here that I could even recommend to cross-post this to as
it is not a WebLogic question. I think I would try the Discussion Forums at http://java.sun.com.

Adding a Variable Value to the cpQuizInfoPointsScored Variable

I have a variable that I am using to track incorrect responses (clicking incorrect buttons while completing a process) and I want to add the value of the the variable to the value of cpQuizInfoScored. I can create an expression to add the two but I can't select cpQuizInfoePointsScored to receive the total.
Any help would be appreciated.

Jimmy. This might be that you are misunderstanding how the Interactive Master widget works with partial scoring. Basically you need to specify the score that will be allocated to a slave object using the Scoring section in the Master Widget properties interface. That's the score that will be reported to the Quiz instead of the default score you've assigned to the interactive widget via the Properties > Report Score section in Captivate.
Using the preference settings you select, the Master Widget is going to try and work out whether or not the Variable Slave is in a Success or Failure condition, and THEN it will report whatever score you've assigned for that circumstance.
What you're trying to do is a little different. You want to have ONE variable slave that can have a score anywhere between 60 to zero. My suggestion is that you consider using setting up different user variables for each of the interactive objects on the slide that you are tracking and then add each of these variables into the Master widget as Variable Slaves, assigning each one a Success or Failure score in the Scoring screen.
For example, if you ahve a number of click boxes on a slide and you are tracking whether or not the user clicks the right ones, you need to set up a user variable with a default value of 0 for each click box and assign that variable a value of 1 if the click box gets clicked.
The Master Widget will be able to determine for each of these slaves whether they are in a Success or Fail condition based on whether the variable is set to 0 or 1 and then add up the relevant scores allocated for each variable. This aggregated score is what can be reported to the quiz score, over riding the default score assigned to the widget.

Setting Dynamic values to the payload-name / Content Desc

I am using a PayloadZIp module and i am trying to zip the file and retain the filename.
For this i have done the following things. I have used PayloadZIp in the Sender channel. In the recv channel used the DynamicConfigurationBean and wrote the value as a part of message_interface and then using variable substitution i have configured made the filename as the sender name.zip
for eg if the file zipped at the sender side is name1.txt the recv channel would be name1.txt.zip where the variable substituiton would have the value name1.txt
but the problem is that the value of the file inside the zip is not name1,txt . I would like it to be name1.txt
I have used the messageTransformBean and stuff tried setting the ContentTypes Desc all of them take constant values. i am not able to set the real filename as the filename for the attachment.
Can anyone share their views on this and let meknow hw i can achieve this

If you are trying to zip a file, then why are you using the PayloadZipbean on the Sender CC, you should use the module on the Receiver CC.

BDC-How to get the value of the screen field

I am facing a problem while writing the BDC code for the XK02 transaction.
Recording:
We have recorded like this :after giving the values in the initial screen(vendor no and purchase group and selecting the purchasing data check box) and enter into the second screen and then click on alternative data icon.There we ll have set of plants we have to check auto ordering (by selecting the plant and click purchasing icon)for the plants which are in the given file.
Problem:
Suppose there are five plants(like 1,2,3,4,5) for a particular vendor but we are having only three plants in the file for which auto ordering check has to be done.The problem is that its doing auto ordering check for the first three plants(1,2,3) in the transaction.But in the file we are having Plants like (1,3,5).How to get the screen field value directly or is there any other way to resolve the problem?

You cannot get hold of screen values while running through the BDC Operation.
Only way you can get the value --> populating an Internal Table from the Database Table.

How to change the Value in the screen

We need to change the Priority in the Service Order base on a Marketing Attribute of the BP, we already do have the BP Attribute value, but we can't base on that value change the Priority Value, the Priority Value is in a Dropdown Box in the screen.
For example if the BP Attribute is 01 the Priority must Change to High 02

You can do it as follows :
1. In SET_ method of BP attribute , there is a statement <nval> <> <oval> . Here you cone to know if the valu is changed or not.
IF <oval> <.> <nval>.
    if <nval> = '01' .   " this is when your BP attribute is set to 01 .
       current->set_property_as_string( iv_attr = 'PRIORITY' value = '02' )
   endif.
   Let the other code in this if block remain as it is .
ENDIF.
I am assuming that Priority and BP attibute are attributes of same context node.
if they are attibutes of different context node, then there is some modifications needed to do.
let me know on that.
Also let me know that if this BP attribute is a pick list too ? then there will be somewhat change in the approch. What are you looking for is completly possible.

DVWP with Multiple Item Form duplicates values on the screen on new item

I have created a custom page in SPD called Submit.aspx. I have 3 custom lists (A,B and C). On that page I have two list webparts (from list A and B) and one multiple item form DVWP (list C). I have edited the list webparts to display the Add new item link only.
Sometimes when a user adds a new item numerical values are duplicated on the screen from the item below (see the screenshot). It happens only on the screen. When a user saves the form or refreshes it the values disappear. How can I fix this to not duplicate
the values when a new item is created. Projects on the list are sorted alphabetically. The item before the last one on the screenshot is the new item that has identical values as the last item. On save or refresh duplicate values
disappear from a new item.

Revaluate function using a negative value in the revaluation variable

I'm trying to use the revaluate function in IP, using a user defined variable containing a negative value, I have a error that tells me that the value in the variable is incorrect.
I've tried several syntaxes, including "-10" or "10-" to revaluate the ratios at 90% of their original values, but without otaining any success.
Has somebody an idea ?

we noticed the same and we created a simple FOX formula for this. This works fine then
(One should use values like 0,5 I guess to devaluate which is not user friendly)

i have 2 parameters (x,y) on the screen.
my demmand is :when i put values in x,and livving the paramter with "click" or "tab" (not enter)
i will have new value in y.

click on y--- i get new value like 3.
