DZ Document Showing Future Baseline Date

We have a DZ document that is showing a future baseline date. The billing document was created 12/14/09 and payment document was generated 12/28/09. The payment terms in OBB8 is net due 55days. However the baseline date in the clearing document is showing 02/07/10. I thought Baseline date is the starting date the system uses to calculate the invoice due date, standard SAP?
Any idea why this is happening?
Regards,
Keen

Dear,
It could be because in OBB8, the base line date could have set for document date instead of posting date or other scenario could be they have fixed a day in the baseline from your posting date. Check the scenarios with the invoice document.

  • Cannot reverse document with future posting date

    Hi,
When I tried to reverse a document with future posting date, system gives error F5362 Posting date must not be smaller than XX.XX.XXXX (x = future posting date).
Is it possible to do this in SAP?

    Hello,
You need to use reversal reason configured accordingly.
Configure the reversal reason for your purpose:
IMG => Financial Accounting => Business Transactions => Adjustment Posting / Reversal / Define Reasons for Reversal
Make SURE that you have ticked Alt.Pos.dt (Alternative Posting Date) check box.
    Save it.
Now use this reversal reason for your posting and give a fugure date.
Make sure that the future posting period is opened but NOT closed.
Please also read F1 on alternative posting date check box:
    Indicator: Alternative posting date allowed
Indicator as to whether you are allowed to specify an alternative posting date for the relevant reversal reason.
    Use
When you use the reversal reason, the system checks that reversal is not carried out using an alternative posting date and therefore possibly in a later posting period or in a later fiscal year.
    Examples
If you want to use negative postings during reversal but only if the reversal is posted in the same period, you can define two reversal reasons:
1st reason: No alternative date allowed, generate negative posting
2nd reason: Alternative date allowed, do not generate negative posting

    Hi habib,
If you feeel this answer solve your query please reward with points.
once the billing doucment is generated in sd.  Then automatcally accounting doucment will be gnerated if you would have done revenue account determinationt and release to accountg.  Coming to your point once the billing doucment cancelled in sd the following accounting document you have to reverse there is no cancellation of accounting document.  in fb08 you can do this things related to the following invoice.  and you will get what ever the result you want. Once you reverse it there is no open item for that billing doucment.  I hope u will understood the concept

i want to show the base line date is unchangeble.how can i do that , for the base line date where can i supress.one of our friends told me regarding baseline date, you can supress by selecting FSG, or validations and parameter ID.
but i have tried the above scenarios , it is not showing  any field in account groups, postingkeys and field status groups. and in the validations also it is not showing any baseline date. and in the parameter id it is not showing any parameter id for the baselind date.if i supress user cannot change that date.
    please help me

    Reddy,
Follow the menu path for validation
Spro-FA-GLA-Business Transactions-General Ledger posing-make check and document settings-validation for accounting documents.
In this you can select line items and in prerequisite step you can select Baseline Date, which is in almost down in the column, give the baseline date table and give the condition as you require.  Make active callup point.
    i hope it will work.
If it is useful award points.

i tried to do it by updating the invoice document for modify baseline date to recent GR posting date  in the same BADI but couldnt succeed as the invoice document number is generated after the call of this badi and hence coulnt modify the same .

  • Search results showing incorrect modified date

    Hi All,
I have a one difficulty in search results.
Document showing incorrect modified date in search results. And this happens for one document only.
We have customized the search/results.aspx page, Our document is showing correct modified date in document properties,All Items.aspx like 31/4/2013.
But when i search with document name in search, result showing incorrect modified date like 24/6/2004.
I checked with database in SQL, every thing is fine.
I have updated the Modified date through powershell script for one document and after that this recent modified date is showing in search results.
But after updating the Modified date through powershell, issued document not showing the recent modified date in search results. still showing as 24/6/2004.
I should not do edit property and save, to create new version.
I don't know what is happening in search crawl. All ready full crawl running daily basis.
I want to check whether this issued document is crawling or not. Could anybody help me to get out of this. what is the main cause of this issue.
    Thanks & Regards
    MD.Liakath ali

    Hi,
I'm seeing the same issue after upgrading the SharePoint 2010 to SharePoint 2013.
When I search any upgraded document in SharePoint 2013, the document's "Last Modified Date" was showing an incorrect value in Search Results page but other metadata of document like "Last Modified User" is showing the correct
value so the problem is not with document crawl, something wrong with Last Modified Date property in Search results.
I have seen below comment as answer but I didn't understand the solution to fix this issue for all upgraded documents.
The most likely cause is that there is metadata on the documents that is set to that date which is overriding the other dates in the search result. SharePoint isn't particulary imaginative so it's got to be finding that date from somewhere.
Do we have any solution for this issue? Is this issue will be addressed in SharePoint 2013 SP1?
Note: No issues with documents, which uploaded after upgrade.

  • Idoc INVOIC error Baseline date for payment does not exist

    Dear All,
I am facing the following error message when processing an idoc to do an MM invoice reception (operation similar to a MIRO).
The payment term is correctly maintained in the purchase order.
    Idoc message type INVOIC MM.
Baseline date for payment does not exist
    Message no. M8356
    Diagnosis
You have tried to post a document without a baseline date for payment.
The system will not allow you to do this.
Check the purchase order. No terms of payment have been entered in the document header or no suggestion has been defined in Customizing for the baseline date for payment for the terms of payment entered.
If you get the error message during automatic settlement of planned delivery costs, maintain the term of payment in the master record (Payment Transactions, Financial Accounting) for the freight vendor or use the Business Add-In MRM_ERS_HDAT_MODIFY to determine the term of payment.
    Regards
    Arnaud

    Hello,
Date for starting the calculation of the baseline date is indeed managed in the TC OME2 (document date, posting date, etc..).
In my project, there is already some companies using payment term N60N, so it should be possible to continue using it.
I solved this issue by putting a payment term in the vendors master data (company & purchasing views) and also in the customers views (company / sales orga) otherwise the structure of the idoc is different.
    Thanks anyway for your input.
    Keep in touch.

  • Baseline Date as the Document Date

    Hi,
I have a query on Payment Terms which we maintain in the Posting Parameters->Postings Tab page in RE-FX Lease Out Contract.
I maintain a payment term for 10 days in the RE-FX Contract.
I have maintained a Condition which is due on 1st of every month with a monthly frequency.
When i simulate the contract for planned Cash Flow, it shows me the conditions which are due to be posted on 1st of every month. Now, here is a scenario wherein I am unable to post the conditions through Periodic Posting (RERAPP) on 1st and i eventually carry out the Posting on 16th of that month. Hence I maintain Document Date and Posting date in the T Code RERAPP (Periodic Posting) as 16th of that month.
Now when i open the Customer Line Items in FBL5N, i find that the Document Date and Posting date to be 16th whereas the Baseline date to be 1st of that month. This makes the calculation of Due Date totally wrong since the system takes 1st of that month as Baseline Date and adds Payment Term days (10 days) to it and shows 11th of that month as the Net due date (which instead should have been 26th of that month.
I tried changing the definition of Baseline Date in the Payment Terms definition to Document Date but it still did not bring the desired effect.
    Pankaj

    Hi,
I face similar problem but not involving TRM.
I've payment term set-up in OBB8 and stating default baseline date = document date.
But in FBL5N system is always retrieving posting date as baseline date. Is there any other setting prevailing over payment term definition?

  • Billing document - Baseline date change status

    Hi folks,
I have the following issue with the baseline date for the billing documents.
Billing date proposed by the systems based on the goods issue is 30.01.2010 while the date of creation of document is 31.01.2010. In FB03 transaction baseline date status is showing as changed from 30.01.2010 to 31.01.2010. Following is the setting done: In OBB8 for the said payment terms the baseline date shown is the "posting date' and in VTFL item level copy control
    it is defined as "Data VBRK/VBRP         007  Inv.Split (Rec/Div)".
Why is the baseline date getting changed by the way  User is entering the bill of lading in the outbound delivery >Header>Shipment (on 31.01.2010)..not sure if this is in any way contributing to the baseline date change...Appreciate your reply.
    cheers
    Joseph

Baseline date is generally governed by config in OBB8 but we can influence it by writing code in USEREXIT_FILL_VBRK_VBRP. This will obviously affect baseline date in billing docs. The same should get copied into the accounting document. Now the catch is if the accounting document is changed (e.g. Payment terms) then system will populate baseline date as per the config.
So may be you should check if there is anything in the userexit and whether accounting document was changed.

  • Baseline date, terms of payment, net due date in MIRO Parked document

    Hi all:
When parking a docuement in MIRO with a PO reference the terms of payment, baseline date, and due date are all determined.
The problem is when we don't have a PO yet, just the vendor and the amount, is there a way for MIRO to determine the terms, baseline date, and due date from the vendor master?

    Hi,
Just enter the Vendor in MIro and it should pull the Payment terms from the Vendor master (Company Code Area).
Baseline Date & Due Date are derived based on the settings in the payment term.
    KInd regards

  • Baseline date is taken as document date by default

    hi fnds
IN MIRO document, my baseline date is taken as document date by default. pls tell me how to change this. even it is not picking the payment terms set in Vendor master and MIRO.
    pls answer this
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
You have to use 2 enhancement spots, create and explicit enhancement in
    1.    include LMR1MO0S -
    enhancement 31  /nfm/mm_saplmr1m.
export the purchase order number (rm08m-ebeln) to memory coz the place where we want to pich the GR date does not have purchase order number.
    2.    include LFDCBFG0-
    enhancement 1  oia_saplfdcb
select the latest GR date from PO history table
where ebeln = import from memory (exported in previous enh)
             bewtp = 'E'  (GR)
             bwart  = '101'  (movement type).
        bseg-zfbdt = ekbe-budat.
        invfo-zfbdt = ekbe-zfbdt.
    IT WORKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CHEERS

  • Required to change the Baseline Date in the MIRO Invocie Document

    Dear Friends,
According to the Payment Terms, while doing the MIRO, the Baseline Date getting populated corresponds to the Document Date. However, the users need to replace the same with the GR Date. Is there a way to check for the GR date or the Delivery Date from the Invoice Verification screen layout?. In view of high volumes, the users do not want to go for another step of scrutinizing the PO History to know the GR date and instead desire to find the same from the Invoice Verification step itself. Is there a way to do this?
    Thanks for the help.
    Regards

    Hi,
You need to use substitution with exit (GGB1/ OBBH) to populate the GR date in the baseline date field.
Also go through the below thread:-
