Billing document - Baseline date change status

Hi folks,
I have the following issue with the baseline date for the billing documents.
Billing date proposed by the systems based on the goods issue is 30.01.2010 while the date of creation of document is 31.01.2010. In FB03 transaction baseline date status is showing as changed from 30.01.2010 to 31.01.2010. Following is the setting done: In OBB8 for the said payment terms the baseline date shown is the "posting date' and in VTFL item level copy control
it is defined as "Data VBRK/VBRP         007  Inv.Split (Rec/Div)".
Why is the baseline date getting changed by the way  User is entering the bill of lading in the outbound delivery >Header>Shipment (on 31.01.2010)..not sure if this is in any way contributing to the baseline date change...Appreciate your reply.
cheers
Joseph

Baseline date is generally governed by config in OBB8 but we can influence it by writing code in USEREXIT_FILL_VBRK_VBRP. This will obviously affect baseline date in billing docs. The same should get copied into the accounting document. Now the catch is if the accounting document is changed (e.g. Payment terms) then system will populate baseline date as per the config.
So may be you should check if there is anything in the userexit and whether accounting document was changed.

  • Baseline Date Change

    Hi Experts,
While doing MIRO, , the baseline date will be default as document date based on Payment Terms.
But in my case, both invoice date and base line date is different. I assure that baseline date will set as default invoice date and it was changed while doing MIRO.
But Client wants to confirm whether the entries (Baseline date) were changed or not.
Any pointers to find the changes occured in the Baseline date.

    Dear,
There is one more solution :
    Go to tcode MIR4..
Enter the document and year.click on ENTER.
Click on "GO TO" in Menu bar.....Click on Display change document.
Here also you can get the changes which have occured in MIRO document.

  • Baseline date change after the creation of invoice list

When I create invoice document, the invoice date (vbrk-fkdat) is the end of the month and the invoice list date (VBRK-FKDAT_RL) is the next business day after the invoice date, the baseline date of the accounting document (bseg-zfbdt) is the document creation date and this is what I wanted.
However, when I start to create the invoice list, the baseline date on the accounting document (field bseg-ZFBDT) is changed to the invoice list date. Does anyone know why and how to fix and where to look in the configuration to see how invoice list date (vbrk-fkdat_rl) is populated? It seems to me that the baseline date default back to the invoice list date when invoice list document is created. Thanks for your help.  I also posted this question in the ERP Financial thread.

    Hi Valerie,
do you recall the User Exit?

    Hi
You need to check your payment terms. the baseline date is determined from the payment terms, which is assigned to the vendor. You can use OBB8 to see the config of payment terms.

  • Pricing condition in Billing document (Pricing Date)

    Hi Gurus,
I have a sales order which is created on 10.01.2012, the pricing date in the sales order is the same (10.01.2012). The Delivery was created on 22.02.2012 and Actual GI date is also 22.02.2012.
Now when I am creating the billing document, the pricing condition value is showing as '0'. I checked the pricing analysis and found that the validity of the base price condition Z001 was from 10.01.2012 till 14.01.2012 in the sales order.
As the Actual Goods Issue date is taking as the 'Billing date' as well as 'Pricing Date' , the system is not able to find a valid condition type as on 22.02.2012 (GI date). The pricing type in copying control of Delivery to Billing is 'C - Copy manual pricing elements and redetermine the others'.
So I would like to know your opinion on the following.
    1) Can I create the billing document using VF01, manually change the pricing date as 10.01.2012 and do the price update using rule C? Will it fetch the price based on the pricing date?
                                                                          OR
    2) Maintain the condition type Z001 for the GI date and do the billing?
Please let me know which is the best  way to adopt?
    Regards,
    SAM

    Hello,
If you have necessary authorization to change the Pricing Date in Invoice, please go ahead.
Change the Pricing date in Invoice,  go to Conditions tab & update the Pricing. System will fetch Condition Records as on that date.
    Hope this helps,

  • Baseline Data Change

    Experts,
I entered a document from a ref document and while entering the document, i was able to change the document and posting date - However, when i tried to make the payment run, this document did not get picked up and it went to exceptions - The reason for that, was it had a baseline date same as the ref document, on account of which the due date is different.
I tried to go to FB02 to change the baseline date - but i don't see any option to change the baseline date.
How do i change it ? Other question would be how do i change the baseline date when posting a document with a ref document?
All answers would be duly rewarded with points.
    Thanks,
    Nandita

  • Documents "Modifed Date" changes just by opening?

We're seeing that Word, Excel & various other doc's change their "Date Modified" to today's date where they are ONLY opened...not modified.
All we're doing is opening and closing, no changes....
Is this a Micro$oft issue or can I change a preference somewhere??
    many thanks

After seeing that the date-change problem seems to happen when you look at a document to which you have group access, but you aren't the owner of it, I just tried marking a similar document "read-only" using the Workgroup manager, then I went back to my desktop machine, opened it in Word, closed it again, responded 'no' to the dialog question about saving, and this time the date didn't change - and there was no MS Word error message..
I'm haven't tested what happens if you try to do the same in finder from a client machine -- of course, usng Work Group manager that way is not really a practical solution.
Also I'm going to see if the problem happens with a non MS Office application.

  • Unable to create a billing document , have to change the posting date

    Dear All,
I have performed the following steps:
                     1. I have created Customer
                     2. Created a material.
                     3. Linked the customer to the material
                     4. Post initial stock for the material.
                     5. Create a Sales/Order.
                     6. Displayed the sales order and recorded the scheduled delivery date.
                     7. Created the delivery for the sales order.
                     8. Transfer the stock from the warehouse management
                     9. And update the order.
While updating the order I selected post goods issue and it would not go ahead because the posting date is not there in the posting period. Where do I change the posting date. I could not find it anywhere. I did not enter the date anywhere.
    Thank you,
    Sandhya

    Hello Sandhya
    Here is how MMPV works.
Lets say I am at the end of the May month 05.31.2009 so lets say period corrresponding to this is 05/2009.
Now if you want to post data in June perios 06/2009 should be opened.
Here is what I will do in MMPV
    Enter my company code
Instead of using periods I will use date which will be 06/01/2009 (mm/dd/yy format in my example)
Check radio button check and close period
    Click on remaining checkboxes.
    Execute
The effect of this will be that the previous periods will be closed and June will be opened.
In your case since no one has opened periods after 2006 so may be you will have to repeat this step for each month until you reach current period if that is the one in which you want to post goods issue.
    Thanks

  • Error  in posting billing document ( Export Data Missing)

    Hi Gurus,
I am facing a unique problem. When I am posting a domestic invoice with reference to service order material Group is LEIS( service withought delivery )  is LEIS, the system is displaying a message Document & has been saved (foreign trade data incomplete)
. When I run the similar transaction in a replication of above system there is no error displayed.
Also the customer is not permitting me to maintain the foreign trade data, as he says when we are not executing
Export transaction, why should we maintain this data???
We have replicated the masters in the parallel system & taken the same parameters to excute the transaction,
Please advice as to where this difference in behaviour is???
Also how do I overcome the export data error for domestic transactions.
Edited by: mukesh kumar on Jul 24, 2009 2:23 PM

    Hi
This is because of the Foreign Trade: Export Data view selected for the material.
Check your material master whether the Foreign Trade: Export Data has been selected. If it is selected you will encounter the issue during the invoice creation.

  • Billing Document - header data

    Hi Experts,
When i run transaction VF02, in header data (menù GoTO->Header->Header) how can i make editable the field "Dunning block"?
    Thanks so much.

    HI !
After creating the invoice you can't change the header data of the invoice.  like payment term, partner function etc. . So Dunning block is also a header data. you need to cancel the invoice then make the required changes.
    Coments are welcome.
    Thanks

  • Payment terms - Baseline date calculation.

    Hi
In payment terms configuration, we have option "No Default" for determining Base line date.
If we have payment terms with above configuration.......
In Fi, Baseline field will be blank while posing Customer Invoice, in which case We can enter baseline date manually. However If Invoice is generated from SD-billing document, we dont have any field "Baseline date" while posting billing doc. In such case how system determines Baseline date. When I checked few billing documents, Baseline date is defaulted with BIlling date even "No default" option is selected.
Is there any configuration in SD that prompts this action. or is it always billing date is defaulted ?
    Please clarify

    Hi !! Madhu,
There is a way, but not exactly what u require! You can check while maintaining the condition records in t.code VK12, observe the last two columns available, one is called a 'Fixed Value date' & the other is called 'Add Val Days'.
If you make any entry in the field 'Fixed Value date' this will be the date from which the payment terms start taking effects. Or if you make an entry in Add Val Days' in this case the payment terms start taking effect from billing date + the no. of days mentioned in this column.
You cannot make a entry in both 'fixed value date' & 'Add Val date'  fields at one time.
Give your feedback if this has worked for you.

  • Foreign trade--Posting status of billing document block

    Hi,
We have foreign trade set up.  In that we defined incompletion schema at line item level with commodity code as "Field ready for input - Incompletion check active".
Can anybody tell me that, in the above setup, can there be a billing block or posting block if commodity code is not maintained in the billing document.
And in which cases Posting status will  be "missing foreign trade data" in billing document.
    Rajesh.

    Hi Rajesh
If you have maintained commodity code as "Feild ready for input",and if you have maintained commodity code feild as error message then it will block the billing document
Generally the posting status will be "missing foreign trade data" in the billing document if the foreign trades data is not maintained in material master record, proper configuration is not done

  • Payer change at Billing document Header

    Hi
Is it possible to change the "Payer " partner at billing document header once the billing has been
created and not posted to accounting? if so how?
    Regards

In billing document, you can change only fields like Billing Date and  Account Assignment Group at Header Level and Account Assignment Group of material and sales text at item level.  You cannot change partner function in billing.
Of course, you can change the ship to party in sale order at header level which will be considered for the subsequent deliveries.

  • Billing doc creation date in order changing when cancelled

    Hi All,
In Order, if 'Future Cancelled date' is given, Billing document creation date is being changed automatically to cancellation date (if cancellation date is less than billing date). Is there any way to restrict this?
    Thanks,
    Regards,
    Rajesh.

    Hi Leo,
When any invoice is cancelled it will automatically pick the original invoice date.
If you want other date on which the cancelled invoice has to be created can give the date in the billing date field, so that it wil creat cancelled invoice on date you entered when cancelling
    T.code VF11.
    kindly reward points if usefull.
