RDBMS : 11.1.0.7.0
Oracle Applications : 12.1.2
Thanks in Advance

i see this
facesContext.getViewRoot().getViewId() = /login.jspxare you using the facesContext in your bean or something.. where are you using this..
is ur bean compiling in the first place.. if the class is not there.. then you would get this error at compile time itself..

    We have no experience with this. I advice you to post a question in the JDeveloper forum and see if the JDeveloper Wizard supports UIX 2.1.20, because that is the version of UIX that will be used after you copied the UIX libraries we supply. If not, you should restore the libraries as delivered with JDeveloper.

    Version 2.1.20 is beyond 2.1.7. I don't know what version is delivered with JDeveloper 9.0.3 but I as far as I know, JDeveloper 9.0.4 comes with UIX version 2.1.19.
    I do not think there is that much difference between the UIX version as delivered with JDeveloper and 2.1.20, that you cannot succesfully use the online UIX Developers Guide of JDeveloper. For questions about UIX, please refer to the UIX forum (technologies -> UIX) or the JDeveloper forum.

    I assumed that it was due to the java-compiler pointing at the wrong JDK so I made the necessary changes to the server.xml. However, this has not made ant difference.
    Has anybody else encountered this problem, and if so how did they fix it?
    Thanks in advance for any help.
    Angus

    I guess you have windows, and the environment path you can set through dialog of system settings. Right click 'my computer' and choose properties. Find the button for environment settings. Somewhere here you will see Oracle has added som reference to the 1.3 version. Adjust this so it works.
    Or, you can run the actual correct verssion of Java you would like from the commandline.
    Instead of running:
    c:\>java <Program name>try running by spesifying the correct java.exe path:
    C:\>c:\program files\java\jre 1.6.0_07\bin\java.exe <program name>Hope this will help

  • Different definition of file version numbers in Jdev and Subversion

    In the SVN Red book(http://svnbook.red-bean.com/), they say that updating a single file creates the new revision of the whole repository.
    So even if a file has not changed, it still can go to a higher version.
    +"Revision Numbers Are Different Now+
    +In CVS, revision numbers are per file. This is because CVS stores its data in RCS files; each file has a corresponding RCS file in the repository, and the repository is roughly laid+
    +out according to the structure of your project tree.+
    +In Subversion, the repository looks like a single filesystem. Each commit results in an entirely new filesystem tree; in essence, the repository is an array of trees. Each of these trees is labeled with a single revision number. When someone talks about “revision 54”, he's talking about a particular tree (and indirectly, the way the filesystem looked after the 54th commit).+
    +Technically, it's not valid to talk about “revision 5 of foo.c.” Instead, one would say “foo.c as it appears in revision 5.” Also, be careful when making assumptions about the evolution of a file. In CVS, revisions 5 and 6 of foo.c are always different. In Subversion, it's most likely that foo.c did not change between revisions 5 and 6."+
    The above makes sense to me. But when I use JDeveloper with SVN, I see its showing me different version numbers with different files.
    Can somebody explain. JDev essentially is showing the version of the file when it was last checked in, but because of changes in some other files, the "actual" version (as per the definition in redbook) might have changed...jdev DOES NOT show this change...why the apparent difference is what I want to understand.
    Thanks,
    Amit

    Thanks for your replies.
    @Timo - I checked out the project from SVN repository to a new folder. It still shows the old versions for some files. In other words, all files are not on same version as shown in app navigator.
    @John - I have tried to reproduce the sections from the Redbook that I felt relevant and that led me to thinking what I am thinking (expecting) now.

  • Fusion.FND_Session_MGNT  Exception in JDev 11.1.1.5.0

    Hi ..
    I am working with ADF and Jdev. I created an EO from a table and setting a column as the history column 'Created by' , threw me the following exception, but the stack trace with the error on getting the user id. I unchecked the history column for that table. Now it is throwing the same error on fetching the language details. I think the following error is something other than the history column/language. I am not able to get the source of the error. It would be great if anyone can point me to the source of the issue. The exception is as follows..

    Hi,
    I got the same issue in my application. I debugged into this and found the following reason for this issue..
    In my application, the sessionid id getting created in one Database and the application DB is connected to someother. When multiple databases are involved, then this issue came for me.
    I did the following to fix this issue and it worked for me.
    Goto AM and right click on it and then click on configurations.
    Then a new window will open up and in that Window, select AMLocal and then click on edit button. A new window will open up. Here select the Connection Type as JDBC Url and select the Application DB url in the connection Name.
    This change resolved my issue as it will create the session id in the ApplicationDB itself..
    Cheers,
    Srikanth Ande

  • Unsupported Version exception

    Hi, have a ServletTest.java compiled, whenever I try to deply using the SUN Deploytool i get an Exception -> Unsupported major.minor version 48.0
    What does it means.

    Nevermind. Google helped me!!!

  • Firefox 9 took 5min or more to load a site, i really liked the new version except not allowing me to have my norton toolbar, so i had to get 3.6 and it loads very fast i don't know why, maybe you have suggestions thank you

    firefox 9 wasn't this slow when i first got it but nothing seems to help. i have uninstalled an reinstalled many times but it hasn't helped when i try to go to another site my activity icon just spins for minutes and sometimes it never loads. i wish it was faster i have to go to chrome sometimes to get to a site, thank you for any help you can give.

    Hey Gina,
    Change all your passwords, this will stop the remote access if there are any. Also check to make sure there are no third party apps managing your passwords. Also please contact the tech support for the phone for more technical help on that issue :-)
    I also understand that the customization is not staying. [[Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars]]
    Did this happen when you synced last? Also are there more than one device with different Customized ui settings?
    Change the settings back from open "pages from last time" to the other homepage: [[How to set the home page]] or if this happened after you attached another device to the sync account, uncheck Preferences from the sync settings.

  • Help me,Getting Exception in JDev 10.1.3

    Hi,
    i created workspace in jdev10.1.3,and i had given path for all libraries which i needed,

    Error initializing server: Unable to initialize transport managers: java.net.UnknownHostException: localhost: localhost
    help me in this regard,

    Hi,
    Mp app is working fine if I select 'ADF Authentication' as security model instead of 'ADF Authentication And Authorization' while configuring security.
    I face this problem even with Jdev11.1.1.6.0. So something went wrong with this 'ADF Authentication and Authorization' option while configuring security.Can any one help me in figuring out the actual cause for this issue.
    Thanks & Regards,

  • Sub-Version and jDev

    Hi to all;
    My project is under subversion control, as i imported it to the repository using tortoiseSVN ;
    But jDev's sub-version plug-in do not recoginized it;
    I`m using jDev 11g;
    PS. I was working fine with jDev's subversion util fews days ago, now my working set is growing , creating new projects and so one;
    I know that; if i`m check-out all the working set again in another file system directory jDev's subversion will be ok. but i made this several times last fews days;
    Any Tips ? perhaps some jDev's subversion configuration file where i can edit and repost the application path ?
    Fowards, Thanks
    Marcos Ortega

    Hi,
    your TortoiseSVN client is probably writing to the local subversion files in a later version format that JDev does not recognise.
    You have probably two choices:
    1. Do everything through JDev (recheck out the project using JDev) and don't do any operations using Tortoise client.
    2. Upgrade SVN Kit in JDev.
    This is the procedure for upgrading using 10g:
    http://technology.amis.nl/blog/5253/upgrade-jdeveloper-10g-subversion-client
    At the end of the blog entry they say the procedure also works for 11g.

    User,
    You are not running JDEV, but OA Framework, hence you should use the OA Framework Forum to ask.

  • UML modelling - exceptions

    Hi!
    I use the version 10.1.3.3 of JDeveloper.
    I'd like to create the documentation to some projects of mine and JDev seems to be a perfect tool for it, permiting to put the UML diagrams into the packages.
    However, I have the following problem. My UML book says (along with many sources in Internet) that the best method to represent exceptions in UML is by using stereotypes. Now, this feature is afaik not available in my version of JDev.
    I can put the exception class on the diagram form, but I can't find any sensible solution on how to connect the class (let's say MyClass) to the exception class (let's say MyClassExc).
    I came up with 2 ideas. Either not show expeptions at all, or connect them to the classes by using "dependencies" (correct me if I'm wrong but it's not be most clear way to do it)
    Please, give me some ideas on how to adequatelly model exceptions in JDev's UML tool (class diagram).
    Thanks in advance,
    Paul

    Hi,
    Sadly you can't set a collection type of the UML elements so when they are converted to Java they become different collection types.
    You can our course set the collection types when you have transforms to java using the association dialog. You will find that subsequent transforms will preserve the collection type on the java side though.
    Sorry we can't be more helpfull,
    Gerard
