E-mail dispatch to distribution lists

Hi,
I followed note 834102 to dispatch email to distribution list in broadcasting (by Web Template) but it does not worked.
Instead the following error mail is received in the broadcasting customizer inbox:
'Mail could not be delivered'
Message from InterScan Messaging Security Suite ******
Sent <<< RCPT TO:<[email protected]>
Received >>> 550 no such recipient
Unable to deliver message to <[email protected]>.
Is anything else that must be done besides what note 834102 states?
Maybe something about persmissons ..?

No, no such kind of reasons.
Indeed I can send successfully to a simple email address but not to the distribution list ...
The problem is right there, in the fact that there is a ditribution list but I really don't know what's the problem ...
Have you ever use a distribution list? Any special thing to do with it?

I am using the FMs SO_DLI_EXPAND and SO_OBJECT_SEND to expand the distribution list and send mail to the distribution list respectively.I am getting the contents of the file in the email that is being sent. The file is being extracted from UNIX.
However, the contents of the file has to go as an attachment.

How to send a Weekly E-mail to a Distribution list from Sharepoint by collecting all the events available in all Sharepoint calendars

Hi,
I have created many Calendars in my Sharepoint site like Meeting Calendar, Downtime Calendar etc. I will be creating some events in these calendars every week. My requirement is to collect all the events available in the calendar for that week
and send a weekly mail with all this events to the distribution list
Is this requirement can be done using the Sharepoint designer workflow or does it require any code related activities to accomplish this? If so can you please provide me the Steps by step process to complete this and can you also share
the code in case if you have it

How to send mail as a distribution list

I have created a number of distribution lists under the groups tab just to the right of mailboxes in the recipients section of the exchange admin centre in microsoft exchange 2013.
i have set permission on these mailboxes for send as to be permitted but when trying to send mail from outlook 2013, outlook web app or from ios i am unable to get the distribution lists email address to appear in the from list.
could someone please explain how i can resolve this for each of these 3 platforms?

Based on my knowledge, Distribution List is based on Outlook, Distribution Group is based on Exchange server. You can grand send as permission to DG.
Send as permission is a permission based on AD, please make sure the DG can be resolved from GAL.
Please run following command to whether set “Hide this group from address lists” attribution, if so please remove this setting.
Get-DistributionGroup | FL alias,*HiddenFromAddressListsEnabled*

How do I send e-mail to a distribution list using LabWindows/CVI?

I need to be able to send e-mail to a user-defined distribution list using LabWindows/CVI? Has anyone done this? Any ideas where I could look?

I commented on something similar to this awhile back. My issue was that I had the base version and didn't have the Internet classes. So this external app worked like a charm

How may I create Distribution lists for mail. I need to set up a series of groups with a number of mail addresses, I don't want to input every mail address every time I send a mail!

I am using SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1 function module to send e-mail . I have a e-mail id which is group id in Outlook. This has 5 email ids inside the group.
When I am sending mail tho that group id , its not distributing my e-mail to e-mail ids inside the group id.
Can you please let me know , how I can achieve sending of mail to all e-mails ids inside a group id?

I tried with using REC_TYPE 'C' . But I did not see any entry for that e-mail triggerred in SOST , also not in my e-mail box.
Do I have to do any other setting in combination to REC_TYPE?
If I send e-mail on indivisual email id, I receive it but not through group id.

Send mail to distribution list using UTL_MAIL.SEND

Oracle 10.2.0.4.0
Does UTL_MAIL.SEND support sending mail to a distribution list?. The doc says, the recipient mail-id should be separated by a comma. The distribution list has mail-id separated by a comma. I executed a test case sending a mail to a distribution list, I did not receive any error or exception. I did not receive the test mail as well!!.
Has anyone used the UTL_MAIL.SEND to send mails to a distribution list?.

It sends message to name provided.
It is up to MTA to deliver any message it gets.
Are you 100% certain that message got to MTA & was successfully processed by it?

I have run this FM by just giving my mail id (not distribution list just giving doctype = 'RAW instead of DLI)
The FM ran sucessfully without any errors , But I didnot receive any mail in my mail Inbox..
Can you please help me how to sort it out getting mail in less time..

there is no numbmer in the waitinh list but number 5 is in the error column in SCOT..

Java Mail: send a SINGLE email to a distribution list

Is it possible to send a single email to a distribution list using Java Mail?
Please help with some code samples.
Right now, our mail program uses java mail api to send one email/person in the distribution list and runs in a for loop. Is it possible to have the distribution list in the to field and just send one single email to all persons in the list?

Yes, of course, assuming your mail server supports
distribution lists. Most mail servers do, but exactly
how you create and administer a mailing list varies
from server to server.
Once you've created the mailing list on the server,
just use the name of the list in the To field of the
message.

CUC 8.5 users in outlook distribution list not receiving voice mails

Good Day ..
We have Cisco Unity Connection 8.5 in our site. It is configured to send voice mails to end users through Outlook Exchange 2010. There is a pilot number which is used by a group. So voice mails to this number needs to be forwarded to all the people in the group . To meet this requirement we had two options. One was to forward the mails to a distribution list and the second was to send the voice mail to an inbox from where it had to be forwarded to the users in the group. The first one didnt work becos the unity is unable to access the mail box becos the distribution list doesnt have one. In the second option the mail is getting delivered to the main inbox but it is not getting forwarded to the users.It works fine for all other emails. If we manually forward the emails from unity it works. Sharing the inbox wont work here becos the users wont be able to access it via Blackberry.

You were on the right track with your first scenario with an Exchange distribution list. Instead of using the Single Inbox feature you can just create a mailbox and set the Message Action to Relay. In that configuration CUC will just SMTP relay the message over to an Exchange address.
As for forwarding messages within an individual Exchange mailbox: It seems to be an Exchange architectual consiquence. CUC posts the message directly to the mailbox through EWS. This seems to be exempt from mailbox rules.

Best practice for Active Directory User Templates regarding Distribution Lists

Hello All
I am looking to implement Active Directory User templates for each department in the company to make the process of creating user accounts for new employees easier. Currently when a user is created a current user's Active directory account is copied, but
this has led to problems with new employees being added to groups which they should not be a part of.
I have attempted to implement this in the past but ran into an issue regarding Distribution Lists. I would like to set up template users with all group memberships that are needed for the department, including distribution lists. Previously I set this up
but received complaints from users who would send e-mail to distribution lists the template accounts were members of.
When sending an e-mail to the distribution list with a member template user, users received an error because the template account does not have an e-mail address.
What is the best practice regarding template user accounts as it pertains to distribution lists? It seems like I will have to create a mailbox for each template user but I can't help but feel there is a better way to avoid this problem. If a mailbox is created
for each template user, it will prevent the error messages users were receiving, but messages will simply build up in these mailboxes. I could set a rule for each one that deletes messages, but again I feel like there is a better way which I haven't thought
of.
Has anyone come up with a better method of doing this?

You can just add arbitrary email (not a mailbox) to all your templates and it should solve the problem with errors when sending emails to distribution lists.
If you want to further simplify your user creation process you can have a look at Adaxes (consider it's a third-party app). If you want to use templates, it gives you a slightly better way to do that (http://www.adaxes.com/tutorials_WebInterfaceCustomization_AllowUsingTemplatesForUserCreation.htm)
and it also can automatically perform tasks such as mailbox creation for newly created users (http://www.adaxes.com/tutorials_AutomatingDailyTasks_AutomateExchangeMailboxesCreationForNewUsers.htm).
Alternatively you can abandon templates at all and use customizable condition-based rules to automatically perform all the needed tasks on user creation such as OU allocation, group membership assignment, mailbox creation, home folder creation, etc. based on
the factors you predefine for them.

For sending the mails to the distribution list use the FM
'SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1' where give the REC_TYPE = 'C'.
