E-mail  warning: unknown error

I just installed Photoshop 5 and e-mail doesn't work. Quit working when I had 3.0. I just get a warning (adobe) unknown error. Help does not go into detail. Could there be a setting in "my computer" that I accidentally changed? Adobe has my e-mail registration number. I am at a loss. Windows xp home.

Hi Marian,
You can capture any error that occurs in your mail adapter by using XI alerts and you can also send an email for the same.
To create alerts , this blog can help you out,
/people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/09/09/xi-alerts--step-by-step
From SP14 onwards, activation of end to end monitoring is not needed for Alerting. Refer to this note 870232 for this info.
Next, to test if your Alerts have been defined correctly, go to SE38. In the program , type RSALERTTEST and then click on EXECUTE button ( F8 ). In the next window, it will ask you for your ALERTCATEGORY. Just give the name of your ALERT CATEGORY and click EXECUTE.
If you have configured your alerts correctly, you will receive a message that tells ALERT IS GENERATED and will give the ALERT ID.
Now, go to your Run TIme workbench and then select ALERT INBOX and see if you have got the ALERT message in your ALERT INBOX.
If this is working fine, then the last step, implement the note 913858.
If you are blow SP14, then also cgheck this blog,

  • "CoreBluetooth[WARNING] Unknown error: 1309" message cause

I am sporadically getting the message "CoreBluetooth[WARNING] Unknown error: 1309” on the console when running a BlueTooth app I am developing. Even though the message states that it is a warning, it stops execution of the app. I have been able to work around this problem by turning the Bluetooth setting off and then back on. Can anyone tell me what is causing this and what I should do to avoid it?

I posted this problem on [email protected] Bluetooth <[email protected]> and received this response from Jason Conn:
If I had to hazard a guess, I’d say that the primary reason you haven’t received much of a response is because you’ve given no description of your issue beyond “sometimes I see error 1309 and things stop working”.
If you haven’t already, please file a bug on bugreporter.apple.com and include as much detail as possible - a description of what you’re trying to do, repro steps that lead to the issue, even a test app. Respond to me directly with the bug number, and I will follow-up.
I had hopedsomeone at Apple could look into the code and state the conditions that led to this warning message. I was not able to reproduce the problem sufficiently reliably to file a bug report. Maybe you can.

  • User unable to delete calendar event "unknown error"

User is running Outlook 2013 home business, and she has a calendar entry that is linked to another mailbox .
When I browse this mailbox from OWA or Outlook client i cannot see this calendar entry.
When the user tried to delete the entry, they receive warning "unknown error" .
It appears the calendar entry is somehow linked to her Outlook profile.
How can i reset this entry without recreating her profile?

    Hi
It is a recurring appointment. When you  double click on the appointment it states "This is on appointment in a series. What do you want to open?" Click The entire series , and it opens the appointment in READ ONLY mode. When you click Delete
    , it throws unknown error.
    i have tried the following commands;
    Outlook /cleansharing
    outlook /cleanreminders
     outlook
    /cleandmrecords
     outlook
    /cleanfreebusy
     outlook
    /cleanprofile
none of which have removed this entry.
I have even tried creating another profile for the user, and this reoccurring appointment is still visible.
The appointment isn't visible on the mailbox where it was created nor is it visible when viewing both mailboxes on OWA.
here is a screen shot showing the issue.

  • Mavericks mail server "user unknown" error

For some reason, the mail server bounces the email sent to local network users and returns a "user unknown" error. The same error is received when an email from an external domain is sent to one of the open directory associated email addresses.
However, sending email from these accounts works just fine, just like sending and receiving email associated with the diradmin account.

    Hi Jeffrey,
Changed the mx record to the juffrou......net domain, without succes.

My 10.8.3 update did not install properly citing an 'Unknown Error'. Now, my Mail and Mac App Store aren't working. What went wrong and how do i fix it ?

I tried this and still have the same problems. If I open Address book or the Mac App Store I get the library rebuild popup and a hang. I created a fresh user and then things are better apart from the printing issue. Its clearly some 3rd party software issue but the crash logs are meningless to me. I used the excellent Etre check app from http://www.etresoft.com/etrecheck so I have a list of what is being loaded and can compare clean and crashed user info but as I cant work out which of the startup items, launch agents, launch daemons etc that  are causing the problem.
I have eliminated Dropbox, Mac Keeper and Witness, and it isnt related to my exterrnal LED cinema dispay or my external thunderbolt drives, or any USB devices if thats any help to anyone else. Info from Etrecheck follows -

I am trying to restore software on my iPad which is connected to my PC with iTunes when i'm in recovery mode a warning comes up
"The iPad could not be restored an unknown error occurred (1604) This i have discovered probably a USB timing problem ?
I have followed all suggestions  but still my iPad screen is locked with a iTunes logo and a USB cable beneath it, wish I had never bothered
to update it now. Any help would be appreciated. rg

When I restart my iPad the connect to iTunes comes up and stays on until it shuts down again, I have read a report from Apple support suggesting I reinstall iTunes so I might try that again and also your suggestion which i shall also try, but thanks again - rg1547

  • Yosemite latest update has broken yahoo email from mail.app. Emails won't collect or send. Tried deleting the yahoo account, now I can't re-add it - "an unknown error has occurred"

Did the latest update to Yosemite last night. All day my mail has played up. Either it won't collect email from IMAP for long periods, or sent emails would just sit in outbox then send them periodically.
I've now tried deleting and re adding the account. But it won't re add correctly - I either get "an unknown error has occurred" when I try and add it as a "Yahoo" account, and if I try adding it as "other email account" it syncs up around 300 email messages and then won't work.
Please help, email is a vital cog in my day to day Mac use.
    Thanks

This worked for me for my Yahoo.

  • I am getting an unknown error when trying to download a word document from mail to pages, any help

I am trying to download a word document from mail into pages and I keep getting an unknown error message, are there special settings for this? Any help much appreciated!

Not there aren't any special settings for this. You just use the Open In feature to save the document into Pages. You could have a font in the document that Pages doesn't like, maybe something that you copied and pasted from somewhere into the document that went corrupt. But there is nothing special about the way that you save a Word document into Pages. You save it like you save any document or file into a compatible app.

  • Unknown error when trying to set up aol mail

AOL just stopped working as of 10am today!  I sent mails this morning and now I cannot get AOL to work.  I deleted the account and tried to set up AOL Mail again and I keep getting an "Unknown Error" message!  HELP......

    Hey there jsmugs,
It sounds like your AOL account is not working in your account, and you also cannot set it back up. I recommend the troubleshooting from the article named:
    iOS: Troubleshooting Mail
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts3899
Tap Safari and attempt to load a webpage (try any webpage). If you can load a webpage, then your device has Internet access. If you are unable to load a webpage, follow these troubleshooting steps.Try to use an alternate Internet connection if available:
    Try a different Wi-Fi connection
If your iOS device has an active cellular data plan, tap Settings > Wi-Fi and turn off Wi-Fi.
If the affected email account is provided by your Internet provider, see if your issue is resolved while connected to your home Wi-Fi network.*
Log in to your email provider's website to ensure that the account is active and the password is correct.
    Restart your iOS device.
Delete the affected email account from your device.
Tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
Choose the affected email account, then tap Delete Account.
    Add your account again.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    All the best,
    Sterling

  • JPEG Library Error Warning: unknown JFIF revision number 2.01

Recently I started to recieve the following error in Dreamweaver CS4.
    JPEG Library Error
Warning: unknown JFIF revision number 2.01
I read the sparse suggestions online which said a file might be corrupt. I currently maintain a lot of sub-websites under a large directory and it would be almost impossible to check every single image on the server. I get the error even if nothing is opened but the program. Is there another solution to finding out which image is causing this problem?

Some of the Adobe software reportedly tosses that diagnostic when it finds a JPEG image file that slightly puzzles it.
I'd suspect you're running some older Adobe bits, if I've guessed right about the source of that error and if your Adobe versions are of roughly the same vintage as OS X 10.6.8.
Looking at the console log is...  ah... how do I phrase this... not without its own form of hazard, due to the plethora of innocuous but ominious-sounding messages that can get logged there.  Figuring out which of the messages are things to be concerned about isn't easy, unfortunately.
But this error?  I'd ignore it, unless you've got some malfunctioning image software somewhere, and/or unless there are patches or updates for whatever package is tossing this available.

  • IPhone 3GS first gives warning: unknown IMEI and unknown ICCID! Restoring failes with error 1002!

My iPhone 3GS suddendly couldn't connect to the mobile provider's network. As I was in a rural place, I though this was because of bad coverage. It was then still possible to use Wi-Fi. After a while the phone asked to connect to itunes and gave the following warning: unknown IMEI and unknown ICCID.
I tried recovering it but procedures failes after hours with error 1002.
Is there a fix for this problem or do I need to go to a service center?

Thanks Carolyn, I've tried all the options, but still it does not finish the recovering process. It stops with still a half millimeter on the statusbar .
Will probably just have to go to a service center. I already read that more people have the same problem and no one found a solution. As I am abroad and my iPhone largely exceeded the warranty time, I wonder what they will charge.

  • Mail for Exchange: "Unknown Error"

I don't wanna open new post about the problem with MfE so i will post here...
So, I've donwloaded MfE, install it and now I'm trying to configure my account. First there is some Nokia privacy policy screen, Agree-->Check-->Next. Now there is Credentials screen, Email-typed, Domain-typed, Username-typed,Password-typed. My question here is next: are username and password the one from my Nokia account, or is it something else? Next screen is also Credentials, but now I have fields: Email-typed, Server-typed, Domain-typed, Username-typed (the one from Nokia account), Password-typed (the one from Nokia account), Use SSL-no --> Go -->Checking your credentials with the server --> UNKNOWN ERROR.
Please can anyone help me to properly configure my mail acc, I need this for my buisness mail urgently!
Moderator's note: we have created a new topic for your post so that other users can easily help you and we have edited its subject as well for it to be more related to your concern.

You've done a good job troubleshooting this and it seems like strange problem. First I've heard of this anyway.
    Can you tell me:
    - Are you using the servername only, without M-S-A, in the name, meaning only the "server" portion in https://server/Microsoft-Server-Activesync?
If not, our client is appending another M-S-A, meaning it's looking for
    https://server/Microsoft-Server-Activesync/Microsoft-Server-Activesync
which is not valid and will result in 404.
    - Also try not using the domain namein domain setting (leave it blank). This is optional in MfE. I've seen this solve problems in some unusual cases.

Did you try restarting it by holding down the hold and lock button at the same time until you get the apple logo?  If you already tried that then you should try putting it in DFU mode and doing a restore by following these instructions- http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=1034
