E-recruiting (correspondence) - BSP Questionnaire - logon (OSS)

Hi all,
Does anyone have experience with setting up correspondence in the E-recruiting module?
We are using the SAP Portal with single sign on to ECC. In ECC the endusers have an ECC SAPuserID with inactive password. When sending a questionnaire to an (internal) user (employee), this user receives and email with a link to the questionnaire. Because the questionnaire is opened through the link, a back end user and password is asked for. However, the users do not have a back end user/password because they use single sign on via the portal password.
Example of link:
http://<hostname>:8000/sap(xxxxxxxxxx)/bc/bsp/sap/hrrcf_qa_imail/application.do?PARAM=xxxxxxxx
The problem thus lies in the fact a BSP application is referenced over port 8000 in the link. This triggers the logon screen for the back-end system while the users don't have an active Abap password.
Is there any way to use the portal single sign on to open the link? Or is it possible to open the link in the email without having to fill out a back-end password?
Please contact me if you can provide any information or walk me through the settings!
Thank you very much,
Djoeke Dijkstra

Hi Divya,
Thanks for the timely reply and specific solution. We will start working on your suggestion. I provided points already for your help.
Since we like your solution could you elaborate a bit more on your suggested procedure?
Specifically, since I have not so much knowledge of Smartforms, where can we find the mentioned "global code of the activity generate new password smartform"? Does this code need editing?
Also, do we need to write new logical/code to accomplish the method below?
"If the user id had a p00* user id for those people i generated the password and sent the questionnaire on their email id with the password."
Finally, is updating the table usr02 for the users accomplished by standard SAP code or did you have to write a custom method for this? Any indication how much time the whole customizing took for the whole process?
Thanks,
Your help is greatly appreciated!!
Regards,
Djoeke

  • E-Recruiting- Scale for Questionnaires not apprearing

    Hi
I have created a scale for Questionnaire in V_T77SK. On (E-Recruiting BSP screen) maintain the Question screen this particular screen is not appeared in drop down menu (against range). However, rest of the scales already configured are displayed.
Am i missing any link .

    Hi Robin,
have you refreshed the catagories after creating your new scale? This is necessary to make the new scale available in the bsp.
The function is found in IMG under:

  • E-recruiting - ranking by questionnaire

    Hi all,
How to implement the ranking by questionnaire - how to check it in assignments!
    Thanks in advance

    Hello Bharat,
candidacy ranking by questionaire is a function available in all currently maintained e-recruiting releases (300, 600, 603, 604). The only exception is 604 (e-recruiting 600 Enhancement Package 4) support package 3 or lower. Reason for that is easy. SAP just forgot to migrate the function when moving the recruiter interface from BSP to WebDynpro and now has to downport the implementation from EhP5 to EhP4 which is done with SP4. So far for the technical requirements.
For the pure doing in the system: When creating a questionaire there is a screen where you can a s s i g n points to certain answers of a question. In addition you can mark answers as required (not to mix up with question is required to be filled). Now you need the questionaires filled for some of the candidacies. This can either be done as questionaire in the application wizard, as questionaire request send to the applicant or simply by filling as recruiter / manager. If the questionaires are filled you can choose ranking by questionaires in the candidate selection or in the WebDynpro equivalent.
If chosen, you will see the counted points for the answers of each questionaire and a suitable / not suitable flag. The points are just summed up according to the answers. The candidacy is marked suitable if for all questions the required answer is given. Here you see one restriction of the concept, you can technically mark more than one answer of a question as required but if the candidate can only choose one answer none of the questionaires can be suitable. E.g. if you ask for a language only interesting for a special position so not part of the qualification catalog, you cannot mark "mother tounge" and "fluent" as required if both were ok. In this case you would use ranking by search query and search for the question in the questionaire with both answers.
    Hope that helps, kind Regards

  • E-Recruiting correspondence

    Hello,
Iam working on customizing E-rec standard correspondence templates. I need the database tables and field names for the below fields. Ironically the fields are not explicitly available in any of the E-rec infotypes.
Can someone provide info on this. Thanks in advance.
    Applicant name
    Recruiter name / people manager
    Contact No. of recruiter
Job Title / vacancy requisition title
    Regards
    G Raj

    Hi,
the applicant name is handed withing the CANDIDATE parameter of the correspondence smartform interface. technically the names of all candidates are stored in the busines partner and are accessable via class cl_hrrcf_candidate_bupa_bl. Table would be BUT000.
Where you find the recruiter name depends of your signature strategy as it depends on who you logically assign as recruiter to the correspondence. In the more common cases you will find your recruiter name in RECRUITER or SENDER parameter of the smartform.
For the contact information of the candidate in recruiter role you will have to develop your own solution anyways as the e-recruiting datamodel does not cover such information. All information according to communication is always designed to contain the applicant information.
Job title can be found in the Posting parameter of the smartform. For Application groups the requisition haeder can be taken from REQUISITION parameter.

  • BSP with logon page

    Hi All,
I done all the settings for Logon page as mentioned in http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/33/8351f1f3351c41853ea3508cbef0cf/frameset.htm
I am getting the error message as
No destination URL is defined. Use the followind redirect URL in Transaction SICF:  /sap(====)/public/bsp/sap/login/default.htm?sap-url=<%=PATHTRANS%>
    Thanks&regds,

    Hi Richard,
you can take this link as a starting point: /people/sap.user72/blog/2006/04/18/the-reverse-proxy-series--part-32-apache-as-a-complex-reverse-proxy
In your case it seems to me that "/sap/bc/bsp/sap/hrrcf_start_int" gets concatenated 2 more times in your URL than it should.
That looks like a loop resp. an apache directive which gets executed too often.

  • BSP URL Logon Parameters

    Hi All,
I have a BSP application (WAS 640) that I need to logon to by supplying sap-user & sap-password parameters. I did that mupltiple times for other applications, however, this time the application still shows the NT logon prompt. The strange thing is that it actually populates the NT prompt's user and password so all I have to do is click OK.
I was wondering if it's possible to completely by-pass the NT prompt to minimize the number of clicks.
    Thanks,
    Roman

No, the option "Logon Required" is not checked. I notice that some BSPs allow the user to login by supplying URL parameters, and other don't. Is there any programming involved to have this functionality?
I compared the ICF service for my application with the one that allows this, and they look identical.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks!

  • E-Recruiting- To send Questionnaire to a candidate

    Hi
I want to send a questionnaire to the candidate along with a letter. I have created a questionnaire activity and assigned questionnaire to the activity. I have also created another activity by name ‘request questionnaire’ and assigned a letter. The earlier ‘Questionnaire activity’ is appeared as ‘reference activity’ on this page. I have sent the document through e-mail option. My question is how a candidate will see this questionnaire and complete it.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Robin,
when you send a letter to a candidate, that letter contains a link, Through that link, when candidate accesses, questionaire will open. and complete the questionnaire.
Hope this is the information, you would be expecting.

  • E-Recruiting - Change URL questionnaire extenal candidate

    Hello for all,
I need change the domain in the url that is generate in e-mail for questionnaire when send for external candidate.
    For example:
    Link generate:
    http://myserver:0000/sap/.......
    Link that I need:
    http://work.mycompany.com:0000/sap/.......
Anyone know how I do this?
    Thanks,

    Got your point.....
you want a domain of the questionnaire separate to that what is being used to access the system....
In such a case i suggest that modify the smartforms which sends the url to the external candidate.....
create a custom table where you store the domain..... pick it up in the smartforms which send quesionnaire to external candidate...... and concatenate in smartform and send it.......

  • E-Recruiting questionnaire for users using Enterprise Portal

    Dear All,
We use Enterprise Portal 6.0 for internal candidates to access e-Recruiting 3.0.
Users do not need to have password to e-Recruiting as they can access as communication user with SSO.
However, when recruiter sends a questionnaire to internal candidates, they need to logon with credentials to e-Recruiting, which they don't know.
Does anybody have any idea on the workaround, or any technical solution to synchronize the credentials between EP and e-Rec?
Thank you in advance for your advise.
    Best regards,
    Emi

    Hi Bharat,
    Thank you for your information.
Yes, it is true that we can insert the link to questionnaire, user ID and password in the correspondence.
However, as far as I know, if you insert a password in the correspondence, it always generates a new password and I don't want this to happen for external candidates who are accessing e-recruiting directly.
Is there a way just to show the current password, without generating a new one in the correspondence smartform?
    Thank you.

  • Changing values for EEO Questionnaire Information Fields in E-Recruiting

We are implementing E-Recruiting 6.0.  I have changed entries for EEO values for Race Category via the IMG SAP E-Recruiting>Recruitment>Applicant Tracking>Questionnaires>Equal Employment Opportunities-->Assign Values to Information Fields.  When I attempt to create an EEO questionnaire using the new values, the old values are retained.  I have been able to determine that when an EEO questionnaire is created entries are created in the T77RCF_MBO_ATTR table linking the values with a VC object, but I haven't been able to figure out if there is a way to clear out/fix the entries in that table.
Any assistance with this problem would be appreciated.

    Hello Cornelia, Hello Roman,
first of all: thank you for your very fast reply. I tried to delete the cache as mentioned above and invested some hours in investigation. Your answers gave me some new searchwords and it looks like I found the solution.
I found note 830251 where SAP said, that there is a difference between old and new way of implementing Corporate Desing to BSP-Applications.
The old method is the one I mentioned above, but this works only as long as SAP_BW 3.5 SP04 is not in the system. After SAP_BW 3.5 SP04  is used, there is a new way to change the design of BSP-Applications.
Here is the link to the note:
    https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/830251
I will try it and - for the case somebody else will ever have the same problem - post the results.
Once again thank you for your great help
    Kind regards

  • Recruiter page in SAP e-Recruiting

    Hi,
We have been live with SAP e-Recruiting 6.0 for about 3 years. We have been using BSP applications so far. We have a standalone e-Recruiting system with a ECC6.0 EHP4 backend. We are in the process of upgrading to EHP5, and want to switch to WebDynpro. I have activated all the Services from SICF, and I can get the internal and external candidation application to work. However, I cannot get the recruiter page to work.  Actually, I dont see any service that shows the recruiter start page.  The requisition list comes up empty.  However, I can get the requisition maintenance screen to work.
    Albert

    Hello Albert,
the short answer: you cannot find a web dynpro startpage for the recruiter as there is not really one like for the candidate.
I assume you are currently on E-Recruiting 6.0 without any enhancement package. The upgrade from this release to EhP 4 or 5 is quite a big task as there are a lot of changes in technology, data model and best practises.
EhP 5 for e-Recruiting requires the use of SAP Portal (or NetWeaver Business Client) for recruiter and recruiting admin. So you have to link the eRec system to the portal and have to deploy the business packages (BP for Common Parts 1.51, BP for Recruiter 1.51, BP for Recruiting Administrator 1.51). Within the recruiter portal role there is the recruiter entry page with the work sets for the recruiter. This application is based on the POWL standard component.
For the upgrade you have to activate the business functions for eRec EhP 5 on the eRec system:
    HCM_ERC_CI_1
    HCM_ERC_SES_1
    HCM_ERC_CI_2
    HCM_ERC_CI_3
    HCM_ERC_CI_4
This brings two issues. The business function activation cannot be reversed and as soon as you activated the one which enables the web dynpro ui for the recruiter, the BSP ui is no longer supported. So you should clone the eRec system to test the upgrade impacts and steps. Otherwise you would loose your maintenance landscape. Another issue is the changed TREX interface with buiness function HCM_ERC_SES_1 which requires a new TREX installation and connection setup.
When you have done this you should be able to access the recruiter entry screen. If you are using the standard eRec role for recruiter (id 0007) you should find requisitions under "Open requisitions of Team" (the "My open Requisitions" work set is empty as no requisition has a lead recruiter flag yet). A hint here: work sets are not refreshing automatically and the refresh link is only refreshing the active work set, NOT ALL!
Unfortunately then the real work starts. Some highlights you will face:
    - ALE implementation has changed and needs to be reconfigured
    - There is no longer a startpage for the decision maker and requisition requester. These functions are only supported by Manager Self Serves. The requisition request is based on HCM Processes and Forms.
    - The correspondence is only supporting the letter section option. If you used the older option to change letters it is no longer working. Even if you use the letter section option the correspondences will probably need adaption as the control in the UI changed which effects the behaviour in the smartforms
    - There are new fields in the requisition data model which are partly even required (e.g. Lead Recruiter flag). There is no SAP report to set this information for active requisitions. So this has to be done manually ever in frontend or database. And we lost some fields in some screens.
So you will have to plan some time and ressources for the upgrade.
    Kind Regards
    Roman

  • E-recuitment-BSP Applications used

    Dear Experts,
I am trying to understand the use of BSP's in E-recruitement. I am looking for materials that details the BSP's used in E-recruitment and how they are applied in E-recuitment. Any input on this would be of much help to me.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Pavithra

    Hello Pavithra,
E-Recruiting uses the BSP technology for user interface. For E-Recruiting 300 BSP was the only user interface, with E-Recruiting 600 SAP introduced WebDynpro for candidate as an option, while for recruiters, managers and admin pages stayed with BSP. With EhP 4 WebDynpro replaces BSP for all E-recruiting applications.
You will find all BSP applications relevant for E-Recruting in Package PAOC_RCF_UI.
For the general structure. The very most applications are grouped on startpages for the different roles in the recruiting process (ext. candidate, int. candidate, recrutier, decision maker, ...). To get the links of these standard startpages just run report RCF_GENERATE_URLS. You can then logon to the different startpages but be sure to generate a candiate for your user first, using report RCF_CREATE_USER.
To learn more about how the different applications are linked within the startpage check the startpage and perhaps the container sequence customizing. Keep in mind that in the IMG only the customer entries are fond. To see the sap standard delivery you will have to use SE11/SE16. E-Recruiting customizing is stored in T77RCF* tables, startpage customizing is T77RCF_SP and container sequence customizing is T77RCF_CS. If you do not get along with the table descriptions just check the technical info of the tables/views behind the IMG nodes, then look for an table named without the C at the end. also check table T77RCF_LOG_APPL.
I hope that helps for a start.
    Kind Regards

  • Apache as a reverse proxy for E-recruiting

We are trying to use apache as a reverse procy for e-recruting. The call to the web proxy is being forwareded correctly but whereas if the page is opened directly on the e-recruiting box it opens a page with a bsp generated logon screen, when using the portal it generates a window dialog for logon and i the get the following message :
BSP Exception: Das Objekt sap/bc/bsp/sap/hrrcf_start_int/sap/bc/bsp/sap/hrrcf_start_int/application.do in der URL /sap/bc/bsp/sap/hrrcf_start_int/sap/bc/bsp/sap/hrrcf_start_int/sap/bc/bsp/sap/hrrcf_start_int/application.do?sap-client=100&sap-language=EN&BspClient=100&BspLanguage=EN&rcfSpId=0003&rcfContext=LMUGEN ist nicht gültig.
Has anyone done apache as a proxy for e-recruting who can share an example or offer any advice?
    Thanks

    Hi Richard,
you can take this link as a starting point: /people/sap.user72/blog/2006/04/18/the-reverse-proxy-series--part-32-apache-as-a-complex-reverse-proxy

  • SSO to BSP using NTLM with application parameters

    Hi all,
As part of the CRM activity, the customer's system sends out an email to a user with a link pointing to a bsp. Part of the url is the call id which the bsp needs to display.
The customer does not wish for the users to input user/pass when accessing the bsp.
According to documentation, NetWeaver supports only SAP logon tickets and X.509 SSO methods(http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/02/
    d4d53aa8a9324de10000000a114084/content.htm).
Found this thread that suggest a workaround:
    BSP without logon?
Seems like it should work, but ITS forwards to a static URL.
Any ideas on how I can make sure that after the whole sso process is complete, the bsp will still remember which call-id it needs to display?
    Regards,
    Eric

The goal is to have the changes made inside the bsp recorded to the logged in user. So one user for all is not applicable.
After fiddlig around with the forwarding settings and the ITS, I managed to get this thing working. Almost.
When I access the BSP url, it gets forwarded to and from the ITS and I get a SSO2 ticket. However, when it comes back from the ITS I get a http 404 error page. If I refresh that page, the BSP loads fine, with the transferred parameters and the correct user.
Can't get my head around why it gives me a 404.
