E-Recruiting - how to implement questionnaires in candidate profile?

Hello experts,
has anyone experience in how to implement questionnaires into the container sequences of the candidate profile (for internal as well as external candidates)?
I think, I know all the necessary tables (T77RCF_CS_ID, -_SEQ and -_ITEM), have also studied the IMG, but simply don´t get it.

Hello,
as I said you can just solve it out of the front end within the registration workflow, or the candidate status change workflow.
So it is just possible to do this via a correspondence activity and not via the standard front end.
From the correspondence you can jump back to a front end application. But it is not possible to integrate it into a startpage.
If the candidate filled out a questionnaire (trm activity), then  you can search on those questionnaires and its answers via the talent pool search. Prerequisite is, that the questionnaire is assigned to a trm activity (Assigned to NA).
There is no possibility handling pool candidates as applications. You will always have problems looking at each pool candidate. The talent pool is just meant to be a pool of candidates you can search on.

    You can identify in R/3 in INFOTYPE 0001 go to over view you will find all information of employee history

  • E-Recruitment 6.0 - SP8 Maintenance of Candidate Profile

    Hi Experts,
    I am currently implementing SAP E-Recruiting 6.0 SP 11 and understand that as of E-Recruiting 6.0 SP8, webdynpro is available for internal and external scenarios.  From my testing, these scenarios refers to the case where an individual logs into the internet/intranet to apply for a job.  But does this apply to the Adminstrator function where it creates/maintains the external and internal candidate profile?

    Hello William,
    the information above is not correct. The Web Dynpro frontend is currently only available for candidates. When the candidate / applicant applies or logs in to update its data this can be done using Web Dynpro applications.
    All functionality for recruiters and admins to maintain or access candidate information e.g. the minimum data entry where a recruiter can type in a hardcopy application or the application to check the applicant profile are only available in BSP. The report mentioned above only generates links to BSP appliction.
    As a result if you want to enhance the profile with additional fields you will have to do this for Web Dynpro and BSP.
    According to the last information available, SAP will deliver the first version of Web Dynpro frontend for recruiters with EhP4 which is scheduled to the end of this year. But as EhP3 was released in December 2007 and is still in Ramp Up I assume it will not be generally available before Q2 2009.

  • E-recruiting: changing overview screens in the candidate profile

    Hi,
    I have used customer include CI_P5104 to introduce two new fields on the Candidate education BSP. These have appeared ok. I also want these new fields to appear on the overview screen of the candidate's education but the columns on the bsp 'education_overview.bsp' appear to be hardcoded. Does anyone know how this overview can be controlled. I can't find anywhere in configuration. Does it require a customer version of the BSP?
    Also, I have hidden the field 'Highest degree/certificate' through flexibilization but this continues to appear on the overview screen of the education element in the candidate profile wizard. Can this be controlled without development work on the BSP?

    I am already using flexibilisation with a context and successfully generating the URLs. The overview I am talking about is not the smartform/pdf overviews but the overview of the records which are maintained in the education infotype record. If fields are hidden using flexibilisation they are correctly suppressed on infotype 5104. As the candidate maintains their education history the records are built up on the infotype. This is the overview I am referring to. The fields which are hidden during flexibilisation do not seem to be hidden from this view even though URLs are regenerated with the correct context.

    Hello Praveen,
    some time ago SAP delivered a solution to delete eRec data based on the information lifecycle management (ILM) within a bigger renewal of data deletion for SAP HR. This is the state of the art approach on data deletion for eRec. The best place to start with this topic should be note 1634262 which contains several documents on the topic. Furthermore it documents that using the ILM for this case is included in the standard ERP license so you do not have extra costs.

  • Add field to E-Recruitment Candidate Profile / Personal Data Screen

    Hi Experts,
    I have a very specific requirement.  I need to display a date field from date spec infotype in e-recruitment.  The date type will vary depending on the internal candidate's personnel subarea.  This field needs to be visible to both the candidate and the recruiter, but uneditable.
    How can I achieve this?  What is the best approach?  I was thinking about adding it to the Personal Data in the Candidate Profile.

    Yes, it will wok with Webdynpro
    The table T77RCF_PRMC_PL is for customer smartforms, this is where you should insert a record for your new custom smartform, the record will not be there by default, you have to insert it via table maintenance sm30
    The default standard smartform is fetched from table T77RCF_PRM_PL for standard smartforms, entry with parameter name FORM_CAND_DOVR
    So you have to create an entry in the customer smartforms table T77RCF_PRMC_PL with similar parameter name but with the name of your new custom smartform in the value field...
    The logic works like this: it will try to find an entry in the customer table first (T77RCF_PRMC_PL), if it cannot find an entry with parameter name FORM_CAND_DOVR, it will go to the standard table (T77RCF_PRM_PL) where the entry exists by default.
    To look into the logic more closely please go to the following method:

    you can see the attachments of a candidate in the attachment tab of the candidate profile if you have not excluded it through customer configuration. In addition you can include links to all attachments in the dataoverview for the candidate.

  • E-Recruiting - How to replace a standard BSP app by a custom

    Hi sap gurus,
    In the candidate' profile, we would like to exclude some qualification objects shown in the competencies tabs. 
    We have copied the bsp application HRRCF_PROFILE to zHRRCF_PROFILE, and made the changes there, but now I wonder how to replace the standard profile application by mine ? Is there any configuration, to change the candidate profile's link ? Or do I have to make a repair somewhere to change it ?

    Hi,
    if you really want to exclude certain qualifications of HR core so they are not available in e-recruiting profile maintanence (and requisition maintanence) there is a customizing in IMG to define a view on the qualification catalogue. There you can specify which QK and Q objects shall be available in e-recruiting. In this case no development would be necessary.
    If you just want to hide some fields / attributes this should be able to do this by customizing the screens. Depending if you use WebDynpro or BSP this is done via WebDynpro configuration or via IMG for bsp. Again no development
    If there is really a need for developing a new tab for the profile, copy the application, throw out everything except the minimum stuff for a qualification tab and build it the way you like. Define a new container sequence item, define a context and set up the container sequence for the profile using your customer container sequence item instead of the standard one.
    You never change the SAP entries of T77RCF_LOG_APPL you would only add customer own applications if you add customer applications to startpages. Defining own screen modification posibilities is usually not necessary. If you do not need the field in your customer screen just delete it, why customize sth you develop anyway?

  • E-recruiting- Webdynpro Changing order of tabs in candidate profile

    We are using Webdynpro for the candidates scenarios ( E-rec runs in a stand alone scenario with ehP3).
    We want to change the order of the tabs in the external candidate profile ( webdynpro).
    We want to use the standard delivered tabs,  we just need to change the order.
    In BSP I just follow the configuration for flexibilization and then when I call the URL I just send the context id and the tabs are changed. But we are not using BSP.
    Could anybody help with information of the steps that I should follow to change the order of my tabs in webdynpro ? .
    I am following the configuration steps for the flexibilization of webdynpro ->Roadmap patterns but I can't see any change in the order of my tabs, or how to call this configuration from my URL.

  • How to implement fixed column headers

    Hi Gurus,
    I got a requirement to show a fixed column header in a sql reports. That means no matter how many rows the report returns, when scrolling down, the column headers are fixed and appear on the top.

    I just realized that I did not include my name in my prior post, its Kyle, sorry about that. I also do not necessarily have an example code to show you, let me explain:
    I am very much a newbie to the HTML environment. Amazingly, I was able to apply a code that would facilitate a scroll bar in my report. This code was applied to the template called Reports Region in the section entitled Definition, it basically looks like this:

    My next feat was to figure out how to fix the column headings, here is were….. well basically I guessed. First; I looked at the website describing how to implement this in three steps, to be functional in both IE and Fire Fox. I was not sure exactly were to apply the script provided, so I made a logical guess and dropped it in to the same area as my previous code. When I went to view the page the code line:
    onload="MakeStaticHeader('TableId','150px')"
    showed up at the top of the page (no Java script error presented itself). I concluded that I either have the wrong programming syntax, its in the wrong template and or template section. To complicate matters I have no idea of how to identify the correct TableId. I did look to view the HTML source code of the page, but found several candidates with the prefix "ID=".
    Quite honestly, without a good formal understanding of HTML or CSS programming techniques, I may be biting more off than I can chew. If this is the case then would you be kind enough to point me in some direction that might help me get over this hurdle.

This is where business rules which measure and enforce data quality standards for data collection in the source systems are tested and evaluated against appropriate data quality business rules/standards which are required to perform the data, information and statistical modeling described previously.
    Inbound data that does not meet data warehouse data quality business rules is not loaded into the data warehouse (for example, if a hierarchy is incomplete). While it is desirable for rejected and corrected records to occur in the operational system, if this is not possible then start dates for when the data can begin to be collected into the data warehouse may need to be adjusted in order to accommodate necessary source systems data entry u201Cre-worku201D. Existing systems and procedures may need modification in order to permanently accommodate required data warehouse data quality measures.     Having the ability to utilize standard structured query language (SQL) views on host DBMS systems and within SAS® is a great advantage for ETL processing. The views can serve as data quality filters without having to write any procedural code. The option exists to u201Cmaterializeu201D these views on the host systems or leave them u201Cun-materializedu201D on the hosts and u201Cmaterializeu201D them on the target data structure defined in the SAS® ETL process. These choices may be applied differentially depending upon whether you are working with u201Ccurrent onlyu201D or u201Ctime seriesu201D data. Different deployment configurations may be chosen based upon performance issues or cost considerations. The flexibility of choosing different deployment options based upon these factors is a considerable advantage.

    At McMaster access to data involves both authentication and authorization. Authentication may be defined as the process of verifying the identity of a person or process within the guidelines of a specific

    security policy (who you are). Authorization is the process of determining which permissions the user has for which resources (permissions). Authentication is also a prerequisite for authorization. At McMaster business intelligence (BI) services that are not public require a sign on with a single university-wide login identifier which is currently authenticated using the Microsoft Active Directory. After a successful authentication the SAS® university login identifier can be used by the SAS® Meta data server. No passwords are ever stored in SAS®. Future plans at the university call for this authentication to be done using Kerberos.
    At McMaster aggregate information will be open to all. Granular security is being implemented as required through a combination of SAS® Information Maps and stored processes. SAS® Information Maps consist of metadata that describe a data warehouse in business terms. Through using SAS® Information Map Studio which is an application used to create, edit and manage SAS® Information Maps, we will determine what data our stakeholders will be accessing through either SAS® Web Report Studio (ability to create reports) or SAS® Information Delivery Portal (ability to view only). Previously access to data residing in DB-2 tables was granted by creating views using structured query language (SQL). Information maps are much more powerful as they capture metadata about allowable usage and query generation rules. They also describe what can be done, are database independent and can cross databases and they hide the physical structure of the data from the business user. Since query code is generated in the background, the business user does not need to know structured query language (SQL). As well as using Information Maps, we will also be using SAS® stored processes to implement role based granular security.
    At the university some business intelligence (BI) services are targeted for particular roles such as researchers. The primary investigator role of a research project needs access to current and past research funding data at both the summary and detail levels for their research project. A SAS® stored process (a SAS® program which is hosted on a server) is used to determine the employee number of the login by checking a common university directory and then filtering the research data mart to selectively provide only the data that is relevant for the researcher who has signed onto the decision support portal.
    Other business intelligence (BI) services are targeted for particular roles such as Vice-Presidents, Deans, Chairs, Directors, Managers and their Staff. SAS® stored processes are used as described above with the exception that they filter data on the basis of positions and organizational affiliations. When individuals change jobs or new appointments occur the authorized business intelligence (BI) data will always be correctly presented.
    As the SAS® stored process can be executed from many environments (for example, SAS® Web Report Studio, SAS® Add-In for Microsoft Office, SAS® Enterprise Guide) authorization rules are consistently applied across all environments on a timely basis. There is also potential in the future to automatically customize web portals and event notifications based upon the particular role of the person who has signed onto the SAS® Information Delivery Portal.
    ARCHITECTURE (PRODUCTION ENVIRONMENT)
    We are currently in the planning stages for building a scalable, sustainable infrastructure which will support a scaled deployment of the SAS® Value Chain Analytics. We are considering implementing the following three-tier platform which will allow us to scale horizontally in the future:

    REPORTING
    We have created a number of parameterized stored processes using SAS® Enterprise Guide, which our stakeholders will access as both static (HTML as well as PDF documents) and interactive reports (drill-down) through SAS® Web Report Studio and the SAS® Add-In for Microsoft Office. All canned reports along with SAS® Web Report Studio will be accessed through the SAS® Information Delivery Portal.
    NEXT STEPS
    Next steps of the project include development of a financial data mart along with appropriate data quality standards, monthly frozen snapshots and implementation of university-wide financial reporting standards. This will facilitate electronic access to integrated financial information necessary for the development and maintenance of an integrated, multi-year financial planning framework. Canned reports to include monthly web-based financial statements, with drill-down capability along with budget templates automatically populated with data values and saved in different workbooks for different subgroups (for example by Department). The later will be accomplished using Microsoft Direct Data Exchange (DDE).

    As well, we will begin the implementation of SAS® Strategic Performance Management Software to support the performance measurement and monitoring initiative that is a fundamental component of McMasteru2019s strategic plan. This tool will assist in critically assessing and identifying meaningful and statistically relevant measures and indicators. This software can perform causal analyses among various measures within and across areas providing useful information on inter-relationships between factors and measures. As well as demonstrating how decisions in one area affect other areas, these cause-and-effect analyses can reveal both good performance drivers and also possible detractors and enable u2018evidenced-basedu2019 decision-making. Finally, the tool provides a balanced scorecard reporting format, designed to identify statistically significant trends and results that can be tailored to the specific goals, objectives and measures of the various operational areas of the University.
    LESSONS LEARNED
    Lessons learned include the importance of taking a consultative approach not only in assessing information needs, but also in building data hierarchies, understanding subject matter, and in prioritizing tasks to best support decision making and inform senior management. We found that a combination of training and mentoring (knowledge transfer) helped us accelerate learning the new tools. It was very important to ensure that time and resources were committed to complete the necessary planning and data quality initiatives prior to initiating the first project.     The point I think was to ensure that you knew exactly what was required. A customer service desk can have many interpretations from a BI perspective.
    You could have :
    1. Operational reports - calls attended per shift , Average number of calls per person , Seasonality in the calls coming in etc
    2. Analytic views - Utilization of resources , Average call time and trending , customer satisfaction , average wait time
    3. Strategic - Call volumes corresponding to campaigns etc , Employee churn and related call times
    Based on these you would then have to construct your models which would be populated by data from the MySQL instance for you to report.
    Else if you have BWA you could have data discovery instead or if you have HANA - you could do even more and if you have a HANA sidecar - you technically dont need BW. The possibilities are virtually endless - it depends on how you want to drive it and how the end user ( client ) sees value in the same.
