E-Recruitment Presentation or Demo

Hello,
I have searched, but have not found a good presentation or demo on E-Recruitment.  I have found a white paper or two from SAP and that's about it.  I would be interested if someone could point me to a good presentation either by SAP or by others.  We are currently evaluting Recruiting software packages.
Thanks - Kenneth

Hi Kenneth,
The product seems, IMO, to continue to be quite fluid, due to its relative immaturity (in comparison to other SAP modules).  If you read the documentation for Enhancement Pack 3, for example, you'll see lots of new enhancements that have been delivered by SAP for E-Recruitment.
Really the best thing to do is bring SAP to the table directly to offer you a demo of the product, so you can gain insight as to current capabilities, as well as what's in the development pipeline.  Contact your SAP sales rep can get them on the case...
That being said, you can find some demo info and presentation materials in SAP Service Marketplace.

  • Oracle OpenWorld 2008 - presentations and demos

    Hi,
Question to Oracle people - when can we expect publishing prresentations and demos from OOW 2008? [OOW On Demand Preview|http://ondemandpreview.vportal.net/] portal is still empty.
    Kuba

Well the presentations and sound recording are accessible form here:
    http://www.cplan.com/oracleopenworld2008/sanfrancisco/ondemandlogon
    But you'll need a user/password
Also remember that you only get voice and slides - you don't actually get to see live demos.

  • Ideas on presenting a DEMO using IMAQ

I am new to LabVIEW and I need some advice and help towards finishing my project.
I have attached a picture that presents two solar cells, one that is damaged and the other one which is in good working condition.
I have an automated system that inspects the solar cells while they have a reverse bias being applied.
I would like to extract useful information from the pictures (or actual video). I have also attached the current VI I have been using, you can give yourself a good idea of what I have done so far.
I have tried using a histogram, but the idea of having a delta function spiking up is not so apeseaing, therefore, I am trying to find out different ways to present the pixel intensity or a read out of the solar cells.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you

    Hi Selp,
You could use a Threshold on your image so the user could see a visualization of what parts of the solar panel are damaged. There is a good shipping example of this in LabVIEW. If you go to Help>Find Examples...>Toolkits and Modules>Vision>Applications>Threshold Example.vi. Then from that threshold and histogram you could give the user an accurate estimated percent of damaged or show exactly which cells are damaged.

  • Spatial index - mapviewer demo

    Hi,
I tried the mapclient.jsp demo of the maviewer demo and it only returns a blue image. I check the log file and found this:
[oracle.sdovis.JDBCDataSource4PT, Thu May 18 10:21:36 CST 2006, ERROR] *** SQL Exception while querying theme: THEME_DEMO_COUNTIES
    [oracle.sdovis.JDBCDataSource4PT, Thu May 18 10:21:36 CST 2006, ERROR] java.sql.SQLException: ORA-13226: interface not supported without a spatial index
seems like a spatial index is missing. My question is,
    - is the spatial index created when I imported the mvdemo.dmp file?
    - is this the same index that is stated in the oracle_home\mapviewer\lbs\admin\mapdefinition.sql?
    - or, is this index should be included in the database installation?
    - who should be creating this index?
    - if I create this index, how would I do this?
I really need your assistance. I'll be presenting this demo to my boss two days from now, my team is pushing the idea of migrating our existing gis system to Oracle Spatial. We need this demo badly.
    Thanks for the support?

First, which MapViewer version are you using and which database version?
Second, the indexes are usually built on import. You can check if they exist and if not create them.
To check if the indexes exist
    select * from user_sdo_index_info
An sample index creation statement is:
    create index counties_sides on counties(geometry) indextype is mdsys.spatial_index;
If the index exists and is invalid then drop it and recreate it. Drop it using
    drop index counties_sidx force ;

  • URGENCY - DEMO ABOUT ORACLE SCM

    Hi all,
Where I can find the two .zip files of these viewlets about the OracleSCM?
    - Oracle9i JDeveloper and Oracle9i SCM integration
    - Create a Branch
I need to present these demos off line, or either, I do not go to have access to the OTN. I need that they run local in my machine.
    PS:
This viewlets are available in the following site:

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Isaac,
Sorry, the source for the viewlets is understandably for Oracle internal use. The viewlets themselves are available on OTN.

  • What's the right/best way to publish from Captivate 7 for use in Presenter 9

Just upgraded to captivate 7 and have presenter 9.  We are updating some old training courses created using Presenter with demos created in Captivate.  I've gotten as far as upgrading the old .cp files to .cpx files and now am ready to publish the files within Captivate so I can import them into Presenter 9.
When I hit 'publish' in captivate there are options to publish as .swf and/or .html5.  So I am trying to fugre out what will work best given what I'm trying to do.    In presenter I don't see an option to import HTML5, only video files or .swf files, is that correct?  in which case i need to publish as .SWF files?  Is that the best way to do it in order to be able to import into Presenter 9?
If that's the case, and I need to have .SWF files, how do I choose which Flash Player version I want to use when I publish the files in Captivate?  It's got the drop down box containing Flash 10, 10.2 and 11.  My instinct would be to use the newest (flash 11).  Is that correct?  If not, why would I want to use a lower Flash version?
    thank you!

    Hi,
You can publish to either as .mp4 (Go to publish >Media >Mp4 ) or .swf from Captivate 7. In presenter 9 you do have an option to either import .swf or .mp4 files. See the image below to import these two formats in presenter:

  • Demos of Fonetic search

    Hello,
A want to know if somebody did make sql stament about of fonetic search(with soundex for example)... I want that somebody borrow me this demos, because i have to present one Demo for this function.
It is like a search in Internet by Yahoo for example
    Thanks for all
    null

DEMO program generally uses the data form the FLIGHT data table (Data model - BC_TRAVEL). DEMO_DROPDOWN_LIST_BOX uses data from SCARR. If you don't have data in these table, your Dropdown would be empty.
You can use program SAPBC_DATA_GENERATOR to generate demo data for these tables.

  • Demos od Fonetic Search

    Hello,
A want to know if somebody did make sql stament about of fonetic search... I want that somebody borrow me this demos, because i have to present one Demo for this function.
It is similar like one search in Internet.
    Thanks for all
    null

    Hi,
the search base should the same on your master and all replicas. So having "serverA" in there is ok, even if that server no longer exists. Changing the search base is not very straightforward; you would have to export your LDAP directory to an ldif file, change all old search bases to new ones, and reimport that ldif into a blank OD with the right search base. And then you have to take care of the password server...
An easier way would be to export Users, Groups and Machines and reimport those into a fresh OD master with your preferred search base. You will have to assign new passwords for all users and machines, though.
Augmented records do not have anything to do with your search base. Just look through your directory (Detail view, Section "Augments") and remove all augmented records you find.

  • E520 - HDMI Output not working on Samsung TV - although works on other devices

    Laptop does not recognise TV
I know there are a number of threads with similar questions, I have been through a number of them, however have not come across a solution that works.
    I have a ThinkPad E520 running Windows 8.1 Enterprise Edition x64
The Laptop has two Graphics adapters
Intel HD Graphics 3000 (Drive - 9.17.10.2867) - I have recently reverted back from the latest Intel driver to the latest Lenovo
AMD Radeon 6600M and 6700M Series (Driver - 13.251.9001.1001) - latest on AMD website
The TV is a Samsung 5 Series 5200 58 inch
We use the TV at work for presentations and demo etc
At my desk extend my desktop to a Philips monitor via HDMI and have no problems at all, I also using with HD TV at home, so HDMI port is ok.  Other laptops us the TV fine, so nothing wrong there either.
    Things I have tried
The obvious 'Windows key + P' extended, duplicated, restarted and tried again
Did the same as above using screen resolution page - TV is not detected, tried hitting detect - nothing
    Disabling AMD adapter
Uninstalling Intel HD and reinstalling latest INTEL drivers with HDMI output plugged in
Uninstalling Intel HD and reinstalling latest LENOVO drivers with HDMI output plugged in (as suggested in other posts)
Tried different HDMI cables, using HDMI input 1 and 2 in the TV
Initially you may think its the TV, however we have a number of Lenovo E530's they all work, the problem only exists with the E520's with the switchable graphics.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Dave

  • ADOBE usage for creation of MDM record

    Hi,
I need to present a DEMO on usage of _ADOBE form for creation of Master data record in MDM_.
Request if you could please send me some presentation / link or a process movie detailing the above action.
    Regards,
    Rajeev

    Hi,
You can use the function module - BCONTACT_CREATE to create Contact record
    (or)
make a BDC of the Tcode - BCT1(Contact creation) and use the same for creation of contacts in batch
Note: Contact is created against Business Partner and not Contract Account. So you will have to include your logic of finding out the respective Business Partner for the Contract Account for which you need to create Contact record.

    "the network adapter cannot connect"

  • Netting

    Hi,
I have a question regarding netting between customer and vendor.
Netting happens in F110 automatically. Does it clear the customer-vendor open items by line items or by balance. For example, Customer has 5 line items totally $3000(debit balance) and vendor has 4 line items totally $5000. In F110, will it pick all the 9 open items and clear against line items or will it clear against balances..i mean netting happens against balance or individually against line items?
Second question, if the outcome of netting is to pay customer $4000..i mean after netting between customer and vendor the result/output has customer with debit balance 4000, then how does it show up. Does the receivable shows up on AR side and AR can go and collect the money. I am confused here because if the payment method in F110 is "E" Wire transfer and that customer in general (in master data set up) has payment method Direct debit, how will this scenario work?
Please help with this. I need to present a demo to the client.
    Regards,
    Satya

    Hi,
In F110, system will create a payment document and will store that payment document as clearing document in all the lines of customer and vendors which are getting cleared off in netting.
The remaining balance in custom, if it is debit, then AR team can collect the same. However in case you have direct debit payment method, then you can run F11 also for that debit balance of customer and can collect the payment as direct debit from cusotmer account.

  • SAPPHIRE / ASUG (Orlando) questions / tips

Would anyone share their tips and tricks for the SAPPHIRE / ASUG conference attendees? Based on my TechEd and Florida experience, I'll start:
    - Wear comfortable shoes (this is the most important one!)
    - Plan your agenda ahead of time and make sure to have a "plan B" for the sessions. But leave some time for exploration too.
    - Your colleagues will love it if you bring some free stuff back.
    - I never travel to FL without a jacket. There is always some room with AC set to freezing temperatures.
    Some specific questions:
    - What is the difference between 'Lecture Presentation' and 'Theater Presentation'? Also how are 'Demo Station' and 'Demo Theater' different?
    - Is there a map / layout available somewhere? I'm trying to figure out how far the rooms are from each other (at TechEd it was sometimes a good 10 min. walk from one side to another).
    - It looks like there are two (or more) buildings - the one labeled Convention Center on Google maps is north of International Dr. And the other one (in the SW corner) is Civic Center. Is the event only in the Convention Center building or is it more spread out?
    - How is wifi at the event (it was pretty bad at TechEd in 2013)?
    - On Thursday is there some baggage service to store the bags or send them to the airport?
    Thank you!

Jelena - yes, it's super-cold inside the Convention Center.  I haven't found a map yet but I am sure one will be posted soon.
    On this:
Q: What is the difference between 'Lecture Presentation' and 'Theater Presentation'? Also how are 'Demo Station' and 'Demo Theater' different?
A: Lecture presentations are like at TechEd when you listen to a lecturer present slides - usually this is NOT on the show floor - they are on the 2nd and 3rd floors.
Theater presentations and Demo stations are on the show floor.
Q: - Is there a map / layout available somewhere? I'm trying to figure out how far the rooms are from each other (at TechEd it was sometimes a good 10 min. walk from one side to another).
A: Not yet; rooms are not too far from each other if you are doing the lecture sessions.  The show floor is big.
You can see Welcome to the Orange County Convention Center</title><link rel="stylesheet" href="nivo-slider.c… - education rooms are on South Side - e.g. S330x
Typically education /lecture sessions are on levels II and III - lower level is the show floor.
Q: - It looks like there are two (or more) buildings - the one labeled Convention Center on Google maps is north of International Dr. And the other one (in the SW corner) is Civic Center. Is the event only in the Convention Center building or is it more spread out?
A: If you stick with the lecture / show floor it is all on the South Side of the convention center (to my knowledge) unless you have meetings in the Hilton which is on the walkway.  Sometimes executive meetings are on the North side of the convention center and yes, that is a hike.
Q: How is wifi at the event (it was pretty bad at TechEd in 2013)?
A: Typical conference wifi; my experience is wifi in the lecture sessions is better than during the keynotes or on the show floor
Q: On Thursday is there some baggage service to store the bags or send them to the airport
A: Usually yes - but my choice is to drop my bag off at the Rosen Centre (across the street) and have them send my bag to the airport for $10 - they will check in the bag for you if you drop it off 4 hours before the flight.  Much more convenient and you just need to pick up your bag at baggage claim when you leave.

  • Every BPC Consultant must contribute for this question.

    Dear Experts,
I am new to SAP BPC.
I have gained basic knowledge on BPC.
I have given a basic presentation on BPC in our company by presenting a demo application with consists of Application have dimensions, Security settings, data uploading, BPFs (Business Process Flows) and Reports & Input schedules & Currency Translation scripts.
Actually, Our Company leads said, u201DWe can also do these features like Reporting & Currency Translationu201D in MS-Excel then what is the use of BPC?u201D.
I did not able to answer this question.
Need a Complete picture on BPC. And what exactly the BPC tool is & how it is different from other tools.
Please explain me what is the Uniqueness & beauty of SAP BPC.
    Really I need expertu2019s answers.
I request all BPC consultants to contribute this question by your valuable answers.
    Thanks for your contribution.
    Cheers,

    Hi Kumar,
The use of BPC is to develop and maintain planning and consolidation platform for an organization to evaluate company performance. When compared with other products, It is a very good product to do planning and consolidation. It is very flexible, user friendly.
It is not just doing reporting and currency translation. You need to develop a platform. Excel is just an interface that BPC uses and currency translation is part of a task. Excel is more userfriendly tool, that way BPC uses all different functions for evaluation purposes. BPC is got ocean of tools and tsks that you can perform for the evaluations.
Using Windows MS Excel reporting and currency translation, that will not produce any data base platform neither any flexibility in evaluations. It is just produces a view of some data at some point of time and it is not a data warehouse as well.
    Make sense...
    Regards,
    Sreekanth.
