E1 8.12 Supplier Split Percentages,  Supplier Relationship Management,  VMI

Three things:
#1 We are trying to locate E1 users, version 8.10 or higher, that have figured out how to split demand between two or more suppliers without using the out-of-the-box supplier split percentage / supplier release scheduling functionality. We do not want to split each order, in very simple terms we want to be able to indicate a percent split between two suppliers and have the system send a given percent of orders to supplier A and a given percent of orders to supplier B - and have all setup and reporting work appropriately. Or, if someone has done an enhancement along these lines we would like to talk with you.
#2 Also, we would like to talk with manufacturing companies currently using the Supplier Relationship Management portal (also known as Supplier Self Service) for versions 8.10 or higher - we are on 8.12. We are interested in using the module but want to talk with some current users about their experience i.e., what are they doing for invoicing, how did they overcome multiple supplier numbers, ease of configurability, etc.,
#3 - Would love to talk with anyone doing vendor managed inventory or consigned inventory in E1 8.10 or higher.

    Hi Jaspinder,
    As per ur last mail query.
    The Supplier Collaboration  and Supplier Registration these two scenarios are comes in the picture when ur talking with Supplier or involving Supplier for the decision making process.
    1) For Supplier Collaboration we need to configure PDP with SI and Service Procurement and CCM.
    2) For Supplier Registration comes under Strategic Sourcing scenario.
    You will get the configuration guide for the same at the Service market place.
    Please award the points if it helps u in resolving the issue.

  • Supplier number and Supplier name

    i want to extract supplier number and supplier name based on company code, this requirement impacts both SRM system and R/3 system, i don't know from where should i fetch supplier number, is it from SRM or R/3 ? and how? i know the question is very abstract , can anyone please help me on this?

    Hello,
    All the master data resides in the R/3 system but not in the SRM system. So, if you are building the application to fetch the Supplier Number & Name, then you need to build the same in the R/3 system.
    Hope this helps.

  • Change supplier type in supplier portal

    Hi all,
    anyone knows if it is possible to let the supplier change his supplier type (in the supplier portal)?
    I managed to find a security right for the supplier / supplier manager profile but this didn't seem to work.
    Thanks,
    Bram

    Hi Vikram,
    the vendors can be active in multiple sectors (e.g. TAXI, TOWING SERVICE, HOTEL, ...). For each sector, we will be creating a supplier type since some fields need to be visible/hidden based on the supplier type.
    Sometimes, a vendor can also be active in multiple sectors (e.g. towing service and taxi). For these vendors, we will be creating combination types, i.e. supplier type 'taxi_towing' for example.
    Let's assume a vendor has been created as a taxi but he has decided to start a new service (towing serices), we want him to be able to change his supplier type manually from taxi to taxi_towing. This will automatically show some new fields which he can fill in.
    I know it's a little bit complicated but we have no other way of doing it.

    Hi,
    How to disable Create Supplier tab in supplier Inquiry form in AP Responsibility without effecting the supplier entry form. I did the following setups but it is disable in supplier entry form also. Please help me it is very urgent.
    1. Log into your System Administrator responsibility.
    2. Navigate to Security > Responsibility > Define
    3. Query the Payables responsibility you want to only have Inquiry access.
    4. Under Menu Exclusion area, set the following:
    Type = Function
    Name = Supplier Full Access : Buyer View (POS_HT_SP_ACCESS_FULL )
    5. Save and test this responsibility.
    Thanks in advance,

    I guess you have followed the steps mentioned in the note
         R12: How Can You Prevent Suppliers From Being Created in Supplier Inquiry [ID 473346.1]
    which means that you need to have separate responsibility for the Supplier Inquiry. You cannot have Supplier Inquiry and Suppler Entry in the same responsibility,please have separate responsibilities. Please make sure you are not having inquiry and entry in the same responsibility.
    Also there are some bugs, please review the note

  • Days supply,Recipts days supply

    Hi Gurus,
    Can someone tell me how does the system calculate the day's supply,Recipts days supply.
    I understand these terms but it would be helpful if someone can give an example.
    Also what does 999.9- indicate.
    Points will be rewarded
    Thanks and Regards,
    Anshul Goyal

    There are 3 types of days of supply..Please come back after going through it
    Days' supply
    The days' supply displays the number of days that a material will cover if only current plant stock is taken into account.
    By using the Days' supply including/excluding safety stock in Customizing, in the Safety stock field, you can define whether the system is to base the calculation for the number of days on the safety stock level or the physical stock level.
    If the number of days is based on the safety stock, which is set in the standard settings, the system calculates the number of days until the stock level falls below the safety stock level. If the number of days is based on the physical stock level, the system calculates the number of days until the stock level falls below 0.
    Materials with critical ranges of coverage are indicated by red traffic lights in the MRP list and the stock/requirements list. You can define how many days are considered to be critical.
    Note
    The days' supply is not calculated, if:
    Current plant stock is negative, or if
    Current plant stock cannot cover the next requirement
    Dependencies
    You set the indicator for including the safety stock in Customizing for MRP or for Consumption-Based Planning in the IMG activity Define receipt elements for days' supply calculation.
    Example
    Calculation of the range of coverage: Starting from the current plant stock, the requirements are deducted one after the other along the time axis. This is done until there is a shortage (requirement > stock). The range of coverage is then the number of workdays between todays date and the date of the requirement that causes the shortage minus one day. The value after the decimal point is the ratio between the opening stock on the day of the shortage and the requirement on the day of the shortage.
    Stock = 240 pcs
    1st day: Requirement for 90 pcs => Stock = 150 pcs
    2nd day: Requirement for 70 pcs => Stock = 80 pcs
    3rd day: Requirement for 100 pcs => Shortage
    Range of coverage = 3 workdays minus 1 + 80/100
    = 2 + 0,8
    = 2,8
    First receipt days' supply
    The receipt days' supply indicates how many days a material will last. The system takes current plant stock and specific, predefined receipts into account when calculating the receipt days' supply.
    You can define two receipt days' supplies.This enables you to instruct the system to take the less binding receipt elements into account for the first receipt days' supply, and to take only the binding receipt elements (such as production orders and shipping notifications) into account for the second days' supply.
    Additionally, in Customizing for MRP, you can use the safety stock indicator to define whether the number of days refers to the safety stock or the actual physical stock.
    If the number of days is based on the safety stock, which is set in the standard settings, the system calculates the number of days until the stock level falls below the safety stock level. If the number of days is based on the physical stock level, the system calculates the number of days until the stock level falls below 0.
    Material with critical ranges of coverage are indicated by red traffic lights in the MRP list and the stock/requirements list. You can define how many days are considered to be critical.
    Note
    The receipt days' supply is not calculated, if current plant stock is negative.
    The receipt days' supply is calculated for a negative plant stock, if the next requirement is in the past.
    Dependencies
    You can define which receipts the system includes in both receipt days' supply and set the indicator for safety stock in Customizing for MRP, or for Consumption-Based Planning, by choosing the activity Define Receipt Elements for Receipt Days' Supply.
    Stock = 240 pcs
    Purchase orders are included in the days' supply, but not purchase requisitions
    1st day: Purchase order for 50 pcs => Stock = 290 pcs
    Requirement for 90 pcs => Stock = 200 pcs
    2nd day: Purchase requisition for 80 pcs => Stock = 200 pcs (remains)
    Requirement for 120 pcs => Stock = 80 pcs
    3rd day: Requirement for 100 pcs => Shortage
    Range of coverage = 3 workdays minus 1 + 80/100
    = 2 + 0,8
    = 2,8
    2nd receipt days' supply
    You can use the second receipt days' supply to separate less binding and binding receipt elements.
    For example, you can specify that the less binding receipt elements are taken into consideration for the first receipt days' supply, and only the binding receipt elements, such as production orders and shipping notifications, are taken into consideration for the second receipt days' supply.
    Materials with critical ranges of coverage are indicated by red traffic lights in the MRP list and the stock/requirements list. You can define how many days are considered to be critical.
    Dependencies
    You define the receipts that are taken into consideration for receipt days' supply 1 and 2 on a plant-specific basis, in Customizing for MRP or for Consumption-Based Planning, under IMG activity Define Receipt Elements for Receipt Days' Supply.
    Example
    Calculation of the range of coverage: Starting from the current plant stock, the receipts are added one after the other on a daily basis along the time axis, and the requirements are deducted one after the other, until there is a shortage (requirement > stock). The range of coverage is then the number of workdays between todays date and the date of the requirement that causes the shortage minus one day. The value after the decimal point is the ratio between the opening stock on the day of the shortage and the requirement on the day of the shortage.
    Stock = 240 pcs
    Purchase orders are included in the days' supply, but not purchase requisitions
    1st day: Purchase order for 50 pcs => Stock = 290 pcs
    Requirement for 90 pcs => Stock = 200 pcs
    2nd day: Purchase requisition for 80 pcs => Stock = 200 pcs (remains)
    Requirement for 120 pcs => Stock = 80 pcs
    3rd day: Requirement for 100 pcs => Shortage
    Range of coverage = 3 workdays minus 1 + 80/100
    = 2 + 0,8
    = 2,8

  • Split valuation with batch management and project stock

    Dear Gurus,
    I need to combine two following requirements:
    1. split valuation with batch management (valuation type = batch number)
    2. project stock
    These two functionalities work fine separately but not together.
    I receipt PO for material with spiit valuation on a batch level into a project stock. Posting is OK and material document (MSEG table) seems to be OK (batch number, valuation type and project stock are in this table). The problem appears when I want to display material in this valuation type (MM03) or batch (MSC3n). They don't exist!!!  Short investigation showed that during goods receipt table MBEW (valuated stock) was not updated with this valuation type.
    But If PO is receipt into normal stock first and then posted into project stock everything is OK.
    Have you had or heart about such issue? I would appreciate any sugestion.
    Thsnks in advance.
    Marcin Bernat

    Hi,
    As you already know ,u are using project stock and doing goods receipt against project, stock table QBEW will be updated and not MBEW. MBEW only updates in case of plant stock valuation. If u receive any goods against project stock it does not contribute to plant stock. Irrespective whether your material is managed in split valuation or not, If it is received against project stock it only updates QBEW. There is no need to update MBEW, if u r using split valuation in project. QBEW also have valuation type as another level like MBEW. If u want to see material price for project stock, it can be  seen in QBEW -valuation type and not in mm03.
    As u r receiving goods against project stock this is d only reason QBEW is updated and not MBEW.
    QBEW will store all information like MBEW for batch number, valuation type and project stock assignment.
    Hope it answers your question.
    Deepak.

  • Material maintained in split valuation and batch management

    Dear Seniors,
      I have maintained a material with both split valuation and batch management. If i check in MMBE, only batch management is getting preference. Valuation type is not coming. Why is it so ? why maintaining both is not possible in SAP ??? kindly explain me please.
    Regards,
    JanaMM

    If you  Mantain both Split valuation as well as batch mgmt for  a material, then  all stock  reports will show  "Batch "  and  Not valuation type  since  batch  is relevant to inventory  mgmt  and split valuation is relevant for account determination and valuation. ,  the only  report which  wil show you both  is BMBC(batch info cockpit).
    You  can however run MB5B  w.r.t  valuation type in the input screen.
    In such cases , The  Valuation Type  forms a part of the batch master which  you can see in MSC3N .

  • Difference between Oracle Customer Hub and Hyperion Data Relationship Manag

    Hi,
    I need integrate diferents data bases and eliminate information redundancy. I think Hyperion Data Relationship Management can help me to acomplish with the task. But i know there is another product named Oracle Customer Hub than can help me too.
    Does anybody know the difference between this tools?
    Which one its the more appropiate for me?
    Regards

    FCH was a product launched by Oracle to counter Hyperion Financial Management. However, it is not a proven tool. HFM has a very good market standing coupled with its other reporting capabilities. Also, HFM is a industry leader now.
    Financial Consolidation Hub will be removed from the Oracle E-Business Suite Component. FCH will not be included with Release 12.1. This is why, customers are advised to move to Hyperion Financial Management.
    An automatic migration utility from FCH to HFM has not been implemented. FCH customers who wish to implement Hyperion Financial Management will have to install the application and complete the implementation process manually.

  • Sap E-recruiting ( Talent Relationship Management )

    Hi
    Why one candidate (internal or external) appears in the pool of talents and other no ?
    I registered 20 candidates but only I can see 3 when i search in Talent Relationship Management
    Can you show me the way please?
    Thanks in advance. Sony

    Hello,
    unfortunately there is no easy way to tidy up a complete e-recruiting.
    While for pure HR components there is a way to clear all infotypes through a report SAP once delivered to get rid of database entries which were accidently transfered with a client copy including customizing tables (all infotypes are for any reason type C tables), the business partner integration of e-recruiting blocks that way.
    Also doing it manually is not easy, e.g. deleting a requisition can only be done for requisitions marked "to be deleted" and this is only possible in the manager scenario.
    We once developed a report to clear a complete e-recruiting system without touching process supporting data like process templates or questionaires for a customer who tested on production to ensure propper set up and a then wanted to clear everything. This took quite some days to get this right - unfortunately I cannot hand this out, I hope for ur understanding here.
    Of course you can try to develop such report on your own. Other way would be a new system setup with importing all transports you did so far. Or third just clean up what really bothers ongoing project.
    For a production system I would go for new setup. In best case there is a data recovery possible you only have to import the transports. Developing an own report might take you longer than this.
    If it is only the dev system I would get rid of all things which could disturb my developments by throwing dumps or slg1 entries. If it is only dev full cleaning is not always necessary. But of course this need quite profund knowledge of the application and the project itself.
    Sorry that I cannot offer an easy solution for this problem.
    Kind Regards
    Roman

  • Talent Relationship Management for also external candidates

    Hi Experts
    Using portal as recruiter in e-recruiting I checked the option Talent Relationship Management in order to find out candidates from old job applications to detect new employees before any other expensive measures such as placing job advertisements.
    However, the result of the searches reports me data from only internal candidates.But when I run the query through "candidates´ selection" I can  search candidates through the external Job Applications and I can see their information there.
    I checekd the status field of HRP5102 (0 -> profile locked, 1/2 -> profile released) but it didn't work.
    What should I check in customizing to also reach external candidates from Talent Relationship Management pool?
    Thanks in advanced.
