E71 bluetooth headset audio

I recent got a new Renault van, I am able to pair the phone (a works phone) with the vans bluetooth successfully. I can browse through my phones contacts via the van and make and receive calls
However, when I make or receive a call, I cannot hear any audio nor when I speak, can I hear any audio through the van speakers. I tested this by ringing the phone with my personal phone.
When I link my personal phone the van works fine.
Is there a problem with the e71 and external volume when connected via bluetooth?
Thanks

Ever tried setting the van as authorised in E71's BT settings?

  • Skype degrades bluetooth headset audio quality

Hi!I have stubled upon a quite serios issue for me in Skype. I have purchased a bluetooth headset and it works perfectly across all paalictions except skype. The problem is - when you start to use it in skype - audio quality degrades !significantly! and becmes VERY bad. As if skype swithes the bluetooth to some other state - degrading the qulity. All sounds are affected - (say you start a music track during the conversation - it will also be played with awful quality)So i assume skype does something to bluetooth settings system-wide. Once you stop  skype conversation - audio quality comes back to normal. I know that this is not a bluetooth specifics, because_ i also use skype for business (lync) for my work - and there everything is fine - when i have conversations the audio quality is what it is supposed to be _ So this is exactly SKYPEs fault.  Please advise.

    Taking the debugging further...
1.) Incoming call comes in, or outgoing call is placed
2.) Audio is available for 5 seconds, in which I can hear the other party via the headset
3.) Within the 5 second time frame I execute the following command
    MacBook-Pro:~ pbaker$ sudo mv /System/Library/CoreServices/BluetoothAudioAgent.app/Contents/MacOS/BluetoothAu dioAgent /System/Library/CoreServices/BluetoothAudioAgent.app/Contents/MacOS/BluetoothAu dioAgent-backup
4.) 5 seconds has passed and the system.log yields the following:
blued[17]: launchApp: App: '/System/Library/CoreServices/BluetoothAudioAgent.app/Contents/MacOS/BluetoothA udioAgent' not found.
5.) Success, I'm able to talk for as long as want!
6.) Move back file when the call is over
    MacBook-Pro:~ pbaker$ sudo mv /System/Library/CoreServices/BluetoothAudioAgent.app/Contents/MacOS/BluetoothAu dioAgent-backup /System/Library/CoreServices/BluetoothAudioAgent.app/Contents/MacOS/BluetoothAu dioAgent
Now this is NOT ideal at all, and certainly indicates an issue with how OS X is establishing a bluetooth connection with the headset. However, its interesting to note that I can make as many calls as I want now without having to go through the above procedure. Unfortunately, this only lasts until the next time a restart. Also, it would appear that this keeps the headset "connected", which might drain the battery.
    Any ideas?

  • No audio on paired Bluetooth headsets

Since the ICS update months ago, I have had Bluetooth headset audio issues. Trying both my original headset and a brand new headset, I can pair successfully. But neither headset has any audio - I cannot hear anything and no one can hear me. I have tried both headsets with another phone and both work great.
I have done multiple hard resets. Nothing helps. Any suggestions?

I also have a Bluetooth OBD II device to read status from my cars. It works just fine on multiple vehicles. It pairs and gives real time data without issue. So it's not a Bluetooth general issue but specific to audio.

  • E71 use bluetooth while audio jack,s connected

is it possible to use bluetooth headset while audio jack,s connected?
i listen a lot of internet radio on my e71 through car stereo by casette adapter(headphones enhancement).it's very arduous to plug off audio jack from the phone every time you want to answer a call and talk by bluetooth!
even if bluetooth heaset is connected i can't use him till i plug off audio jack.
if i answer a call when jack is connected i can hear the voice throough car speakers and i have to use phone mic.
    is there any solution ?
    please help!

I'm also having this problem. So are over 50 people to date, and I'm sure we're just the only ones who are active. http://androidforums.com/samsung-galaxy-s3/576056-can-not-use-bluetooth-when-audio-jack-plugged.html
Can this be fixed? This is extremely dangerous. I use my phone as an mp3 player and connect it through the audio jack in my car, and also want to use my bluetooth headset to make and receive calls. Instead the call comes through my speakers and there is no microphone, leaving me scrambling to unplug my audio cable while driving.
People say that the original firmware didn't have this problem. Samsung says it's Verizon, Verizon says its Samsung, I dont care who is liable as long as someone fixes it!
    Thanks

I recently upgraded from an iPhone 4s to an iPhone 5.  I have a Motorola HX550 Bluetooth Headset which worked flawlessly with the iPhone 4s.  However, since upgrading to the iPhone 5, I frequently lose audio when in the middle of a call.  I am not certain whether it is a full disconnect or just an audio loss.  The person on the other end reports still being able to hear me, however, I suppose they could hear me speaking over another source even if bluetooth disconnected. The loss of audio is always preceded by a quick shrill noise, so I can easily tell when it happens.  All I have to do to fix the problem is to select Audio Source on the call screen, temporarily switch audio back to the iPhone, and then switch back to the headset, and then it starts working again.
Is is important to note that I am not the only one experiencing this issue:
This is a link to someone using the Motorola H19txt headset experiencing the same issue
    https://forums.motorola.com/posts/94ac15ad7c
If you go to the Plantronics website and look at the "Ratings and Reviews" on the Voyager Legend you will see the same issue reported:
http://www.plantronics.com/us/product/voyager-legend (next paragraph is taken from the review since there is no direct link to the review.
Really nice Headset unless you own an Iphone 5. I own several Plantronics headsets and have always loved the quality/ performance. This headset seems not to be compatible with the new Iphone 5. In the middle of a conversation it will lose all incoming audio. This leaves you trying to switch audio sources really fast in order not to lose your phone call. Ive tried 3 legend headsets and they all do the same thing. Hopefully this gets fixed soon because the headset is really nice
Since this issue appears to affect multiple headsets from multiple vendors, I think it is fair to conclude that it is an issue with the iPhone5 bluetooth itself.
I am posting this as a new discussion as I don't see any other posts specific to this iPhone 5 Bluetooth issue.  I would have reported this as a problem to Apple, but don't seem to be able to find a way to do this on the web.  Hopefully they are already aware, but if not, maybe they will see i here.

here is an interesting thing: take the iphone and set lock screen to never. Now make an email with siri--be sure to activate her with call button. get to the body and get some text in there. then just stop talking. LOCK SCREEN APPEARS!!!!!! and of course you draft is gone.
There does seem to be a work around for some--maybe all these issues. Don't use the call button--use the buttons on the phone.
Siri seems to behave properly with scenerio above---sans call button. She does not go to lock.

  • Why do I get this error when trying to use my bluetooth headset as a listening device? There was an error connecting to your audio device. Make sure it is turned on and in range. The audio portion of the program you were using may have to be restarted.

I may have already resolved this issue buy removing the device from my computer and re-pairing it. It is currently working just fine.

  • Audio does not behave correctly when Bluetooth headset disconnects

When a Bluetooth audio receiver disconnects, Windows reverts to another active audio connection.  However, the programs that were previously using the Bluetooth connection do not transfer to the new audio connection and reactivating the Bluetooth connection
does not get the audio from those programs back.
The only way to make them work again is to close the program and reopen it.  As a gamer - this is particularly a problem when batteries die.  Usually I would just swap the batteries in 10 seconds and turn the headphones back on, however it is not
possible due to this issue.  Exiting the game would ruin my team's experience as 5+ minutes is approximately 10% of the game's average total time.

    Hi,
There are 3 reasons I can think out:
    1. Bluetooth driver was not released when it is disconnected suddenly, this can be caused by Bluetooth software.
    2. Audio driver can be corrupted.
    3. There is the problem on the program itself.
I recommend you do following test:
Open Windows media player to play music with Bluetooth headset, and then disconnect Bluetooth headset and see if the headphones can work fine with media player.
If it works fine, the issue is on the program you run with problem. Contacting the program provider would be more helpful.
Otherwise, it's related to Bluetooth driver or software, please try to update them from manufacturer's website to see what's going on.
Also, please check if there is any event related to this issue in Event viewer.

  • Audio NOT functioning correctly after botched bluetooth headset pair attemp

After trying to connect my bluetooth headset (Motorola HS820) to my Macbook Pro i am having issues with several apps including firefox and mediacentral. Audio from these programs will not play. I get an error message saying there was a problem with my bluetooth audio configuration.. However apps like itunes and skype function correctly..
When attempting to pair my bluetooth headset the bluetooth assistant pairs it succesfully but when it connects it immediately disconnects.. after several attempts at tricking it to connect (advice from posts in mac.com forums) i have given up and deleted these devices from my bluetooth preferences and still have these problems..
I'm assuming there is some config file still in place pointing these apps in the wrong direction?
Macbook Pro Mac OS X (10.4.6) Dual Booter

Just verified Audio is not working for me in safari either...
Example i'm using is any video on youtube.com
Edit: I guess this would be a problem with macromedia flash then?

    Hi,
In that case I would recommend trying this method here to reset the BlackBerry smartphone to factory settings
To do this we would need to back up the BlackBerry smartphone. Please open the BlackBerry Desktop Manager and connect your BlackBerry smartphone. Click on the Backup and Restore button and select Back Up. Please note the location where the backup is being saved as we will need to access it later to restore the BlackBerry smartphone.
Once you have backed up follow this article.

  • IPhone 5 question about Bluetooth headsets and headphone jack audio out.

I have an iPhone 5. When I'm connected to a bluetooth headset, can I still use the headphone jack to play audio through my stereo between calls without having to disconnect the headphone jack for calls or shut off the headset for tunes?

when one connects a wires headset it it mutes the internal speaker

  • CANT USE BLUETOOTH HEADSET AS AUDIO DEVICE

I just got a bluetooth headset today, paired it with my imac, went into teh sound settings, then selected it as my audio input and output device. was working fine all day then all of a sudden it stopped working and no matter what i do it will not show up in the sound setting to let me choose it as a audio device.
It does however show up in bluetooth prefences as connected/paired etc. what can i do to fix this? i am on 10.4.2 with all the latest updates and have the 20" imac.
    thanks

I am experiencing this problem also. Strangely, I had my headset working properly, with no problems at all. Then, for no reason, the headset stopped working. I switched to another bluetooth headset and the new one worked properly. I also used a third headset, but it seems that the system is not properly clearing information about each headset. Now none work at all.
I have deleted all from bluetooth preferences, repaired one. The pairing appears to work properly, but the headset never shows up in the Audio section of System Preferences and cannot be used with Skype. I am at my wits end. I have repaired preferences. Shut down and restarted. Reinstalled Skype. Trashed Skype preferences. You name it I have tried it. I cannot get any of my 3 bluetooth headsets working now.
    Please someone help.

  • H7000 Bluetooth headset - No audio from microphone in Windows 8

Recently I bought a new HP H7000 Bluetooth headset. After I successfully paired it with my laptop (HP EliteBook 8470p, running Windows 8 and the Broadcom Bluetooth driver downloaded from Broadcom's site), I can hear audio from the headphones, but the microphone part doesn't seem to be functioning, it doesn't pick up a signal no matter how loud I speak.
When trying the same headset on the same laptop running Windows 7 SP1, the microphone is working perfectly.
In Windows 8, the Headset Microphone is Enabled in the Sound settings' Recording devices, and is set as Default Device. The Internal Microphone Array device (the laptop's built-in mic) is picking up audio no problem, so that part of Windows 8 is functioning properly. So there seems to be no issue with any of the settings, I went them through several times.
It's just the H7000 headset's mic under Windows 8, that is having the problem.
Anyone met this scenario, or even have a fix?

I managed to narrow it down to the Broadcom Bluetooth chipset driver in Windows 8.
Finally I ended up disabling it, and buying a USB Bluetooth micro-dongle with an Atheros chipset. With this, the headset works fine.
It is still ridiculous, to solve such a problem with additional investment, but this is not HP's fault it turned out.
I'll try to contact Broadcom's customer service, and keep an eye open for any Win8 driver updates on their support website.

  • Was anyone able to transfer audio to bluetooth headset in windows 7?

I have a bluetooth stereo headset. Its a cheap china made headset called skywing. I am able to pair it and use it with my cell phone. It used to work with my old dell laptop. I recently purchased a HP tx2z touchsmart laptop and now I installed windows 7 RC 64 bit edition. I tried to use the headset to use it with skype. Windows detects its installs the software and says the device isready for use. Also it shows a message saying that the device has been added to audio gateway. But there is no icon shown in the sound mixer. When I go to the bluetoot device properties. In audio tab the skywing shows up. there are two devices showm skying headset ( audi with mic ) and skying stereo ( audio only ). If if select stereo and click connect it does not connect. But if I click headset and click connect it gets connected. When I go back to skype setting or mixer the bluetooth headset is not shown. I do not know whats the problem I would appreciate any help. Thanks

One thing you can do is simply find the 64-bit version of those drivers for Windows Vista. The drivers work the same with windows 7 without the increased and automatic functionality though. Try that out. You should be fine.
For instance, my graphics card and sound card didn't have drivers with Windows 7 64-bit, but by downloading the ones used for the 64-bit version of Windows Vista, Windows 7 adopted them and uses them just as well if not better than it did when I had Vista running on my laptop.

  • Use Bluetooth headset during audio playback

When I listen to an audio file, the audio plays on my iPhone external speakers. I want to change this to my Bluetooth headset (which I use quite often for the phone app), but I don't see any way to do this. Any ideas?

    I'm assuming
I would look at the directions for my headset to find out?
