EDI trading partner setup

I have my organization is set as Party under parties. say MyOrg
I created another party say Party1 then create agreement between Party1 and MyOrg . Good working fine.
Now I have Party2 and trying to create agreement between Party2 and MyOrg . In both case my ReceiverdId is same (that is ISA7).
When I try to save this, I get error saying Business Identity [receiverId] is already use by another partner .
How I can fix this error? As every case my receiver id will be same.

correct I am using same business profile . I am getting this error when try to create agreement. I understood reason for error also. As mentioned above
when I configure agreement between Party1->MyOrg that time I configure identifier as
ISA5->08 and ISA6->Party1SenderId
ISA7->01 and ISA8->ReceiverId
good no issue.
Now trying to configure another party that is Party2
Create agreement Party2-->MyOrg
ISA5->09 and ISA6->Party2SenderId
ISA7->01 and ISA8->ReceiverId
In both case ISA7 and ISA8 is same.
Based on error my understanding is each agreement we should have ISA7 and ISA8 combination should be different.
I don't know my understanding is correct or not. If it is case then definatly problem for me as I can't configure same combination in different agreements. If that is case what is solution?

How to edit a Trading Partner-R12

Hi,
I have set up a trading partner for a supplier location and trying to edit that now. Oracle forms is not letting me to edit and it always says 'trading partner already set up for the location'.
Any idea on how to edit the existing trading partner?
Any help is appreciated.

EDI 810 transaction error: Cannot uniquely identify a trading partner

I am facing following error on B2B 11g version 11.1.1.6.0. Please provide the solution if you are aware of the issue.
Error Description: Cannot uniquely identify a trading partner. The trading partners PARTNER-A, PARTNER-B have the same set of identifications.

Two TPs can not have same identification.
There are two ways to come out of this problem.
1. Change the identification criteria for the TP.
2. Use exchange level Identification for one TP.

Trading Partner Agreement Not found error in EDI EDIFACT Scenario

Hi
Since the error states "Process_ORDERS" as the Business action I assume you are trying to enq the ORDERS document from Acme to GlobalChips. The issue then would be due to the fact that there is a trailing space character after the GlobalChips
Please check for a space (or spaces) after
to = GlobalChips
Also ensure that the UI has the trading partner with the same spelling ie. GlobalChips and not Globalchips

Identify Trading Partner EDI X12 over File Protocol

Hi
I am working on EDI X12 (835) over File Protocol.
The EDI payloads I will be getting will hold same EDI InterchangeIds, Group, or Exchange.
oracle.tip.adapter.b2b.edi.identifyFromTP = ANY
and I have given oracle.tip.adapter.b2b.allTPInOneDirectory = false.
So that it identifies based on the directory name.
For this I changed my trading partner name same as directory name.
Could you please suggest me is there any other way of identifying From Trading partner than changing the Trading partner name to directory name?

Hi Praveena,
Yes, TP name and directory name should be same.
Put oracle.tip.adapter.b2b.allTPInOneDirectory = true (Idetifies the Trading partner by the directory name) in your tip.properties file.

Issue with Trading Partner Identification - Files are not picked

As per user guide and also the following note

I did uncomment the following line
#oracle.tip.adapter.b2b.edi.identifyFromTP = Interchange | Group | Exchange
from tip.properties
But when I put a file 810 EDI file "test_canon810_11i.dat" for B2B pickup B2B errors with
"Trading partner agreement not found for the given input values: From party[NAME] "test", To party[NAME] "IKON", Business action name "810_inbound_p"; also verify agreement effectiveToDate"
But if I just rename the file to "CANON_810_11i.dat" B2B successfully processes the file.
I have setup trading partners IKON and CANON with appropriate edi interchange id but not sure why B2B is erroring in previous case and in the latter case why is it trying to identify the trading partner by filename (even though the tip.properties has been updated as mentioned earlier)
Let me know if you have any pointers in fixing above

Hi Sachin,
If you want to use the Interchange Sender/Receiver ID for identification, please set
oracle.tip.adapter.b2b.edi.identifyFromTP=Interchange in the tip.properties. Uncomment the #oracle.tip.adapter.b2b.edi.identifyFromTP = Interchange | Group | Exchange would not work.
As a result, the B2B Server defaults to identifying the Trading Partner base on the file name. You can see from the b2b.log that the From party[NAME] = test or CANON. That's because we use the first portion of the file name as the TP name.

Trading partner information is maintained at the supplier site level for EDI transactions.You maintain the relationship in e-commerce gateway to qualify the supplier for the EDI transactions by linking it in the supplier setup. You can find data in ece_tp_headers and ece_tp_details.

Error validating TP...AIP-11052: Writing following objects: Trading Partner

Hi,
I am getting following error validating trading partner. I have double checked the TP setup, everything looks fine. I had earlier successfully validated, later added a document type and trying to re-validate.
AIP-11052: Writing following objects: Trading Partner failed due to following constraint violation: PARTY. CAN NOT UPDATE UNVERSIONABLE OBJECT IN A VALIDATED CONFIGURATION
Does anyone have any clues??

Make sure you do not have active configuration which is using this agreement.

I have tried all different combinations with the IP addresses and host names, but to no avail. Then I changed the Trading Partner Identification Type from MLLP Id to Sending Application (one of the customer requirements is to be able to identify the Trading Partner by the combination of Sending App/Sending Facility, since they are running multiple HL7 applications on one host). However, I still see the same error in the log file - for some reason, B2B is still trying to identify the Trading Partner by the MLLP Id. Redeploying the configuration didn't help, the requested identification type is ignored.
Please help! If needed, I can send the B2B log file, but maybe I'm missing something obvious.
BTW, the customer has installed the patch for bug 6439217 on October 10th. The B2B version is 10.1.2.2.0.

B2B integration with just one trading partner using a dedicated VPN channel

Hi colleagues,
We are working in a B2B integration escenario, where our company will just integrate with a service provider using a dedicated VPN channel, so we won't go out to internet, for that B2B communication we have identified 10 inbound + 9 outbound interfaces.
Do we need to look into implemeting an document exchange protocol for that? Of course we need some ACK mechanism as there'll be SLAs in place. If so, what would it be the most appropiate? I've been reading about ebxml, rosettanet etc but still not very clear for me which level of customization you'll need in order to apply those protocols. If this is much and given the fact that we are just dealing with a trading partner and we won't scale this platform to use more parther in the future, would it be worthy to customize our own ACK mechanism?
If relevant, in our side we use oracle fussion middleware, the trading partnel is using SAP IS-U. The message format will be standard XML, we haven't identified the need of any other formatting at the moment such EDI.
I know this is a very open question, so any advices or recommendations on that are highly appreciated.

There is a lilttle catch. Eventhough your Delivery channel which is used in the agreement for a specific trading partner specifies some IP/Port, you can dynamically send the message to some other IP as well. This is specified in the document.
This will give a flexibility of sending the HL7 message not just to the end point which is mentioned in the agreement but also to any othere ip/port as driven by the ACTION_NAME field in the IP_MESSAGE type. However ACTION_NAME filed overrides the delivery channel information, hence at any point of time you can
1. Send a message to the end point mentioned in the delivery channel and used in the agreement. In this case ACTION_NAME is null or
2. Any dynamic end point driven by the ACTION_NAME.

Thanks when I put the actual IP addresses it worked. Now I have few questions, it would be great help if you could answer them.
1. The machine where B2B Integration is installed has been assigned with multiple IP addresses. Only the first two set of numbers are same and the last two numbers are different. For example : 10.90.12.80, 10.90.18.22. Therefore for the host partner if I need to assign the Generic Identifier which IP do I need to choose? Also which IP I should be using for the Transport Server?
2. I want to accept all the cXML ORDER messages sent by all trading partners(TP) to resolve one TP in B2B Integration. We are going to lookup the TP in our BPEL process, so we only need the B2B integration to validate the document sent in . Therefore all the four subnets in the IP address may vary. In this case I cannot use a IP address therefore how can I specify the Generic Identifier? Or is there any different method I can use?
3. I receive my cXML punchout from my trading partners from different countries, for example say Italy and France. The trading partner id is same but the country from where the punchout originated is different. I don’t have any other field in the message to determine which country the order originated from but I need to figure out the country code some how. In current implementation we have different URL for each country to resolve the country code. How can I do this in B2B Integration tool?
4. Is there a way to Dynamically change the URL that a Delivery channel is supposed to send to? If a customer changes the URL that a document is supposed to go to, can we change this on the fly?

Oracle Wallet manager password for B2B Host trading partner

Hi All,
I have exported one trusted certificate from B2B midtier wallet manager.
I have saved it as ora_wallet.txt and and oracle.tip.adapter.b2b.WalletLocation refers to its path.
I associated host trading partner delivery channel with non-repudiation and encryption.
Now I need to provide wallet manager password for host trading partner in B2B UI.
I am providing the password which I used while creating the certificate.
I am getting following error:
An error occurred when updating the trading partner.
Error -: AIP-16001: The model validation engine failed due to an internal system error.
As a second trail I exported user requested certificate from wallet to B2B but same error

I am in dilemaaa whether i need to take a EDI x12 over internet and EDI x12 over genric exchange.I think this is something which you should discuss with your TP and as per the availability and requirement a decision should be made.
If you are using FTP protocol in internal delivery channel, then you need to follow the file naming convention to provide B2B required information to identify the TP and transaction. For this please refer -
