EE TV Free Tablet offer not arrived after a month

I signed up for EE TV over a month ago and applied for my free tablet straight away - it still hasn't arrived  Any idea how I can contact someone about this?

 Why after 5 calls (we have the reference numbers) over a 90 days are we still waiting for a tablet? Your staff do seem genuinely apologetic but this problem is not being resolved.  Not the first time we have complained, nor the second, or third...you know where this is heading... right? We feel aggrieved, cheated, unvalued as a customers and cannot understand your organisations lack of timely and satisfactory resolution for this awfully frustrating situation. If within 48 hours you have not satisfactorily resolved this issue with us, we will be starting a social media campaign to try and discover just how widespread your incompetent customer service methodology and failing delivery system has reached in impacted genuine and loyal customers!     Perhaps some collective action and the raised public awareness in your organisations failings, will positively impact your endeavours to treat your customers in the manner your literature  and salespeople pledge?

    Apple does not repair devices beyond replacing the screen on some models or a battery replacement.  They replace the ENTIRE device.
    For the Out of Warranty replacement cost, you could have gotten a fully functional replacement device.  Instead you chose to spend less to get only the screen replaced and continue to live with additional issues.
    Apple will not touch the device now.  They will know that it was opened elsewhere and that the replacement screen is not original.

    Has anyone had problems with the tablet not working after closing the lid on a Tecra M7? Bios is 3.20
    Doesn't seem to happen on hibernate or sleep.

    What do you mean with tablet not working after closing the lid?
    Does the notebook freezes or what?? What happens exactly???
    The close the lid settings can be set to hibernation mode or standby mode or no action.
    These settings can be set in the power saver setup actions.
    If you have some problems with some installed Toshiba applications I would recommend reinstalling the TOSHIBA Common Modules and the program which doesnt run correctly!

    I purchased this membership in mid May 2015. I went to the store after receiving the card to get it activated. I was promised that was activated. I waited a couple days and noticed that it still wasn't active so I went directly to the retail store and was told it was activated again. It wasn't. I showed them my account status on my phone. I've now been told to call the phone line for assistance and they direct me to the store.
    I bought a product from your company and it isn't being given to me. I've had to go out of my way just to get it resolved and it still isn't fixed after a month and some days time. This is not acceptable of any retailer.

  • Free disk space not changing after deleting (large) photos

    Hi,
    I wasn't sure whether to post this on the iPhoto board or on the MBA one, since it's not clear if it's a system-level issue or not. Anyway, I had about 30GB of free space on my 256GB MBA and the other day I deleted four or five albums of photos from my DSLR that I'd downloaded to my computer, after I made backups of them elsewhere. In total there were about 3,500 photos, roughly 24MB each on average. I made sure that after deleting them, I deleted my iPhoto Trash as well as the system Trash. Neverless, my level of free space hardly budged and if anything, it decreased slightly. I've read several threads saying to wait a while as sometimes the system takes a delay to adjust - that's fine.
    It's now almost five days later and the situation remains the same, if not worse. I ran DaisyDisk and aside from the usual large folders (my movies in iTunes etc, none of which had been added to since I deleted all those photos), the only one I couldn't recognise was this folder iLifeAssetManagement (9GB). I know that there are a few threads about this one, and most people seem to suggest you can clear this if you're happy to lose the content in your Photo Stream. The thing is, I've looked through some of the images in this folder and I'm quite positive that a number of them are from the DSLR albums (there are CR2 files, which I believe is Canon's exclusive RAW format). Some of the others are definitely from my iCloud Photo stream. I'm more than glad to lose all the DSLR ones, though I'd like to keep the iCloud ones and I don't really want to have to sort through 5,000-odd files. I'm positive that this folder is related to why I never gained that free space.
    Has anybody else had issues like this and any suggestions for clearing this folder of all the files I already meant to delete, whilst keeping the others? Or have you had issues relating to this? Any help much appreciated.

    If you've installed third-party software called "Disk Drill," I suggest you remove it according to the developer'sinstructions. If you prefer to keep the software, refer to the developer for support. Otherwise, see below.
    You may notice a difference in available space statistics between Disk Utility, Finder, and Get Info inspectors. This is expected and can be safely ignored. The Finder displays the available space on the disk without accounting for the local snapshots, because local snapshots will surrender their disk space if needed.

  • Last packet not arriving after binary data transfer

    Hi folks,
    I have written a server app that receives a text header and a binary data block (e.g. an image). To read the text header I use a scanner "in" (to be more comfortable). Then after that I use the "bis" to get the binary data.
    That works so far. I get a header and binary block and then I want to send back a header and a binary data block to the client in the same way.
    My problem: In most of the cases (not always but mostly reproducable) delivering the result the last packet is not delivered to the client.
    These are my streams, readers and writers:
    bis = new BufferedInputStream(client.getInputStream());
    sr = new InputStreamReader(bis);
    in = new Scanner(sr);
    bus = new BufferedOutputStream(client.getOutputStream());

    I found out that when I do a bus.close() at the server afterwards at the server then the last package arrives. But then I cannot continue using this connection, but I want to keep the connection waiting for additional header + binary block (or waiting for a "quit").
    I tested this on Windows and Linux (for the case there could be an OS specific strange behavior).
    What am I doing wrong? Wherever I search I don't find really different approaches to receive and send data. The only difference I can see from other samples is that I do use a reader and just when expecting binary data I use the underlying byte oriented stream. After flushing I go back reading from the "higher level" reader.
    The strange thing is that receiving the text header and binary block on the server works fine but when sending response back to the client it does not work.
    What I already tried:
    I tried nulling my readers while reading from the underlying byte oriented stream for the case they get confused with the binary data and if data is read from the underlying byte oriented stream (did that on server and client side). That did not help.
    I tried - as already mentioned - closing the bus stream - which closed my connection which I don't want but delivered the last package.
    I also tried using different type of binary stream. I used a TIF image, JPG image and finally tried also with a text content (treated as binary data) and only with the last text content the problem did not occur. But this should not make a difference when reading the byte stream.
    I am struggling now for two days with this problem and my last idea is trying to remove the readers in general and using just the binary oriented streams (which is more work for identifying the header lines which are plain text - anyway). But I have the doubt that this will not help because I already tried dropping them when transferring the binary block.

    I have seen many samples and documentation where streams where taken to an upper level with readers with and without buffering. But I was not aware that I then have to use always exclusively the object on the upmost level. Reviewing some samples I can see that there is indeed no mixed usage.

    Note: before upgrading i ctrl clicked on my device on my macbook pro (itunes acct) and backed up my 3gs and then did the upgeade to latest ios.
    When completed my apps failed to re-appear on my phone.
    a. I did a resore from back up > still apps are not on iphone
    b. Apps are on my itunes.

    All applications are backed up in the iTunes ...laptop , Mac etc. contacts are better backed up to the iCloud account using your apple store account .
    Contect your iPhone to iTunes using MacBook or laptop which has internet connection ; most importantly to the one you backed up.
    Once your iPhone appears in the iTunes , go the applications . This will display all your purchased apps . Choose to apply and synchronize

  • Ellipsis 7 not working after 3 months

    I purchased an Elipsis 7 for my husband to use while he is out in the field to do minor things such as check and respond to emails. Last week it simply quit working, He took it in to the Verizon store and had a sales rep look at it and sure enough, it would not turn on. The gentleman in the store explained we would have to call the tech line and have it replaced as it would still fall under the one year manufacturer warranty.  No problem, I understand there are channels to be followed. I called Friday 10/17 and spoke to a representative that informed me he was placing an order for a replacement device, (after we went through the same steps all over again to ensure the device was indeed not working.)  I even have my confirmation e-mail stating a replacement device is being sent and how to return the defective device. The associate went over with me the fact that if there is any water or other damage we would be charged the $300 for the device. Again, fine, I know there is a process. He also stated we would receive the replacement device yesterday 10/20. I did not receive it so I called back today as there was no tracking information available on my account.  The gentleman I spoke with this evening stated the order has not shipped yet and he cannot tell why and that he would have to cancel the original request and submit a new one. The main problem with this is he is stating they are having to send a recovery box, clearly different than the discussion I had with the rep on Friday.  So now, not only was our order delayed, but we will not even be getting the replacement until after they review the original device so we're looking at a minimum of another week. For an item that is only 3 months old that has been well taken care of this is a ridiculous amount of hassle. I have been on the phone now for a total of 2 hrs and still have a tablet that is not working. I am extremely dissatisfied with the lack of knowledge and consistency from one employee to another. They couldn't have been any more friendly, they are just kindly misinforming your customers. If this is how you all handle your claims on a new device, I will not be renewing my contract and will even consider going to one of your competitors that buys out your contracts.  This is the first claim I have ever had to file after a decade of patronage and I could not be any unhappier.

We were sorry to hear about your experience and have already made changes to internal resources about the Ellipsis 7 to hopefully provide more consistent communications about the recovery box process. Your tablet will be fixed through recovery box as this is the only repair process for the Ellipsis 7. Following is what you can expect as far as timing:
    - Your recovery box should arrive within 3 days
    - The box should arrive to the manufacturer within 2-3 days after you ship it
    - The manufacturer will repair the Ellipsis 7 and ship it back to you within 3 days
    - You should receive your device within 2 days

    In between I contacted & send the email to Mrs. Renuka Chaudhary & M/s Balgo P. Ltd. Nagpur, regarding non receipt of Inkjet Printer under student offer.  
    In first reply Mrs. Renuka Chaudhary asked me to send redemption no.   In another communicaiton she reply that she has not got registration of the above product.  Whenever the Redemption No. is generated after the registration of the product detailed online is made.   After passing the 11 months I have received a  letter without sign & date  alongwith cheque of Rs.900/- mentioning the reason "Online Registration Not received" .  
    In this regard it shows the negligencies & deleberately created the problems with consumer while providing the redemption offer.  Moreover the many complaints are lodged on complaint forum that many of students / consumers, are not receiving the product under redemption offer.  That means the HP Company is cheating with consumers.
    With due respect to hp redemption cell,  I may please be granted a permission to lodge a complaint in Consumer Forum / Crime police (Financial).

    No any solution has sent to me till now or nobody replied that they are enquirying why this is happening with consumers?  It is a part & partial duty of HP  & it is not of a part of customer to waste their time in chating with hp help forum.  I think it is only a solution to go to "Consumer Forum"/Consumer Court for justice.

    What have you tried ? Have you tried closing the game via the iPad's multitasking bar and seeing if it works when you re-open it ? Double-click the home button to open the taskbar, and then swipe or drag that game's screen from there up and off the top of the screen to close it, and click the home button to close the taskbar.
    If that doesn't fix it then you could try a soft-reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
