Email Based Reviews Chnage Web Based Mail Cleint

Our organization is considering the purchase of Acrobat Pro 9.0 for Windows OS.
The default behavior of the Acrobat is that it directly sends Files for Review from Outbox using Outlook(Default Mail Client).
Our Requirement is to Use Email Based Review using web based email systems like Gmail etc. This may hold true even when we may have a default mail client configured.
Is It Possible to do so in Acrobat 9.
If not how can we ensure that even if it is sent using outlook it opens in a compose window before it automatically sends it from outbox.
Thank You

To help you figure out the issue, Acrobat (and Reader) interface with e-mail by the MAPI interface. If your web client can be accessed by MAPI, then the answer is setting that up. If it can not be accessed by MAPI, then you are out of luck.

  • Web-based mail program as default for emailing photos?

I'd prefer to use my gmail account to send photos, rather than my Mail account. But the options are only for Mail, Entourage, and AOL, I think.
I can't seem to figure out how to do this any other way than from gmail, click "attach a file" and browse through my directories and select each individual photo. This would be fine, except that the attachments are enormous and I can't figure out how to resize them to a manageable size.
So, to summarize. Is it possible to use a web-based mail program as your iphoto default? If not, how can I shrink the size down to 240X320 or 640X480, or somewhere in that range?
    I'm using iphoto 4.0.3. Thanks.

There are programs that allow you to designate a web mail page for the default email program (WebMailer for one). I would guess they should work the same jumping from iPhoto, but don't know how well they'd work at attaching an image since that is usually a process specific to how the page is designed.
Probably, it'd be easiest to leave Mail as the default email app with Gmail set as the default account, for situations like this, and use the regular webmail interface when you're not planning to attach an image if you like that interface more.

  • How can I create a shared review using a web-based mail account?

I believe I should be able to do this using Acrobat 11 for Windows XP (I have the trial version), but I can't figure out how. We use Google Mail. Help says to:
(Windows) Double-click Internet Options in the Control Panel. In the Internet Properties dialog box, select the Programs tab, and then select the preferred email application. Restart Acrobat to activate the change.
(Windows) Change the MAPI settings in your email application. Acrobat and Reader use the Messaging Application Program Interface (MAPI) to communicate with your email application. Most email applications come with MAPI settings to handle this communication. For more information on configuring your email applications, see the email application’s Help.
Google Mail doesn't show up in my Internet Properties/Programs/E-mail list, and as far as I can tell, Google Mail doesn't have any MAPI settings to adjust.
    Any tips?
    Thanks.

In Acrobat XI you can find this setting under Edit > Preferences > Email accounts. You can add your gmail account here. Here is a tutorial on How to use webmail in Acrobat.

  • Any way to stop web-based Mail from suggesting other recipients?

Recently it seems Apple has added a "feature" more aggravating to me than anything else they've done since the service was iTools -- and yes, I've been using it that long, so I have some experience with annoying "features" -- and now every time I try to send a new message to my wife, it is automatically suggesting anyone who's ever been copied on an email with her (including my ex-wife) when I start typing my wife's name.  I have to scroll way down to get to just her email address, which is completely opposite of what I would expect a user-friendly app to do.
Is there any way to (1) stop it from doing this altogether or (2) clear out all the previous receipient data from the web version?  I use the Mail app on my computer at home, but I don't have that luxury at work and need to use the web-based Mail instead.  I already cleared all of my previous recipients from the Mail app at home on the off chance that it was syncing with iCloud, but no such luck.  I suspect the answer is "no, man; you're screwed" but thought I'd ask just to be sure.
    Thanks,
    Brent

    You can't prevent this.<br />
Website can locate you by using a reverse DNS look up and automatically present you local pages.<br />
Most web servers allow to go to different international localized web pages and store this choice in a cookie, so you need an allow exception for cookies in such a case.

  • Mail does not create new emails based on the highlighted mailbox, but rather the receiving mailbox of whatever individual email happens to be highlighted. This was not the case prior to Lion. Is this a bug or an error on my part?

Mail does not create new emails based on the highlighted mailbox, but rather according the receiving mailbox of whatever individual email happens to be highlighted. This was not the case prior to Lion. Is this a bug or an error on my part? (I do have the setting for creating new emails from the highlighted mailbox checked.)

The questions about time was not only because of thinking about the Time Machine, but also possible impact on recognizing which messages remaining on a POP server (doesn't apply to IMAP) have been already downloaded. In the Mail folder, at its root level, in Mail 3.x there is a file named MessageUidsAlreadyDownloaded3 that should prevent duplicate downloading -- some servers may not communicate the best with respect to that, and the universal index must certainly be involved in updating that index file. If it corrupts, it can inhibit proper downloading. However, setting the account up in a New User Account and having the same problem does not point that way, unless your POP3 server is very different from most.
That universal index is also typically involved when messages are meant to be moved from the Inbox to another mailbox -- in Mail 3.x the message does not move, but rather is copied, and then erased from the origin mailbox. That requires updating the Envelope Index to keep track of where the message is, and should keep track of where it is supposed to have been removed after the "Move".

  • Email Based Review Issue

Our company uses the email based review feature of Adobe and we are having some intermitent problems.
It seems that sometimes when a review is complete the originator of the review can not automatically merge the comments and has to do it manually. With large reviews and many document you can see how this can be a problem.
I do not set up the reviews so I don't know is anything can be messed up on that end but the finger gets pointed at me for performing the review wrong.
    My method is as follows:
    -Received a pfd for review
    -Add comments
-Click the 'send comments' button in the tool bar, pop up appears with the email address of the originator and I click send
    That's it.
And again this issue of not being able to automatically merge only happens once in a while.
Reviews are being created with professional (not sure of the version as it's not on my machine)
I am using adobe 7.0 standard.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

The problem stems from selections made when installing.  Access points to adobe.com is a selection option you get when installing.  If this is disabled or not selected, the send comments button won't appear.  The solution is a simple registry change.
    For Acrobat pro 9 users
    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\9.0\Workflows ] “bEnableWorkflowPart”=dword:00000000 to 1
For systems with Acrobat Reader, use the following:
    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Adobe Reader\9.0\Workflows ] “bEnableWorkflowPart”=dword:00000000 to 1

  • Problem with email-based review

    Hi,
When I send a new PDF to email-based review I cannot see it in tracker.
It appears under "Joined" reviews and not under "Sent" reviews.
It seems that the tool treat me as a reviewer and not initiator.
It also display the bar with: "Send Comments" button as for reviewer and not for initiator.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

  • Do I have to use computer based mail app to send mail through Safari?

Can't believe I am confused on this...but....if I click on an email link in a web page that I am looking at in Safari, does sending email require opening and sending through a separate computer based mail app? My email accounts are through AOL, but doesn't seem that even if I sign in at AOL's website, that I can access a web page through them, and in turn have mail links link to my online AOL email page. That means that I have to use a mail app that people who access my computer and open and look into?

    Hi Jim,
You can set up AOL mail using the Mac Mail application, instructions here.
    http://macs.about.com/od/applications/qt/mailaol.htm
That means that I have to use a mail app that people who access my computer and open and look into?
Only if you share your login user name and password with them.
If you allow visitors to use your Mac, you can setup a guest account for them to use.
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=Mac/10.5/en/15600.html
The instructions at that link are for v10.5 but it works fine for v10.6 as well.

  • External Email based on tolerance

    HI Dear Experts,,
When the project reaches                                         online popup                                            Email
    85% to 95 %                                                                 Warning                                                Notify Once
95 to 100%                                                                   Warning                                                Email each time
Over 100% but within additional tolerance                   Warning                                               Email each time
Over100% and over tolerance                                      Hardstop                                              Email
Based on the above Requirement I configured the Budget Tolerance.
    (1) But using Action 2 in the tolerance limit i can reach upto my internal Business workplace. But i need send the email to the external distrubution list. How to do this ?
(2)According to my requirement i need to notify only once when project reaches in between 85% to 95%. How it is possible. Its should not send every time.
    JOHNPETER

    John,
According to my requirement i need to notify only once when project reaches in between 85% to 95%. How it is possible. Its should not send every time.
, Once budget is consumed above 85% it will send you mail everytime it exceeds, I dont think you can control it in Std. SAP. May be you can try this via a user exit, EXIT_SAPLBPFC_002. You can change the action of availability control using this exit, just check with your ABAPer whether you can use this exit to send email only once not every time.
For sending email to external client, check whether this exit EXIT_SAPLBPFC_001 works or not.

  • Powershell scripting to send emails based on events in event viewer **PROBLEM IS SENDING attachment of log**

    $emailFrom = "[email protected]"
    $emailTo = "[email protected]"
    $subject = "$env:COMPUTERNAME : A VM was successfully migrated."
    $body = "$env:COMPUTERNAME : A VM was successfully migrated."
    $smtpServer = "smtp.domain.com"
    $smtp = new-object Net.Mail.SmtpClient($smtpServer)
    $smtp.Send($emailFrom, $emailTo, $subject, $body)
this is a template of a ps1 script i wrote. This will send the above email based on a specific event ID for the microsoft failover cluster / operational, say ID 5143 for example. My question is how do i include in that script to also include a copy of the
log for that event ID in the body of the email ?

You problem with this code is that the SMTPClient send method does not handle attachements.
Instead, try creating the message, using the system.net.mail.mailmessage class to create the message. Then create a mail attachment. Finally, add the attachment to the message. This allows you to craate an attachment, then use the SMTPServer object to send
    that mail.
The code should look something like this:
    $To      = "[email protected]"
    $From    = "[email protected]"
$Subject = "Using the .NET SMTP client."
$Body    = "Using this .NET feature, you can send an e-mail message from an application very easily."
    # Create mail message
    $Message = New-Object System.Net.Mail.MailMessage $From, $To, $Subject, $Body
    $AttchmentText = get-content C:\foo\aaaaaaa.txt  # or whatever
    # Now create Attachement content type
    $ct = new-object System.Net.Mime.Contenttype
    $ct.name = 'text/plain'
    # Now create an attachment of that type
    $attachment = [System.Net.Mail.Attachment]::CreateAttachmentFromString($attchmenttext,$ct)
    # Next add Attachment to the message
    $message.Attachments.Add($attachment)
    # and now create smtp server
    $smtpServer = "COOKHAM8"
    $smtp = new-object Net.Mail.SmtpClient($smtpServer)
    $smtp.Send($message)
I tested this script on my system and it works. You may need to play around a bit with the attachment, in terms of content type, etc.

  • Auto generate reminder email based on two values

I have a property payment system set where a customer chooses a property, then select a duration they will be in the property (either 364 days or 301 days)
they then select how they will pay the money, either monthly, termly, 3 set payments or total
what i need is a automated email reminder to be sent out to the customer based on the date they moved in and there payment option
this seems rather complicated and wanted to know if anyone can lend an idea of how this can be acheived
    thanks in advance

I would do this with a cron job. Depending on the way the payment system works, the cron job could run daily or weekly.
You need to set up a script to query the database and send out emails based on the results. However, you need to be careful about sending a large number of emails using mail() in a loop. Not only is it slow, but it's likely to be seen as spam.

  • Sending email-based newsletters

Is there a way to send email-based newsletters using Mail. The newsletter has been designed in a popular WYSIWYG editor. I know there are lots of dos and dont attached to designing them and thats not what Im interested in learning. Everyone discusses sending them using outlook and entourage but rarely ever Mail - can it be done and how?

If you mean a newsletter composed with HTML then the answer is yes.
RTF with Tiger Mail is really HTML but Mail does not include an HTML composer/editor.
Save the completed HTML document created by the editor of choice.
Open the saved document with Safari.
At the Safari menu bar, go to File and select Mail Contents of This Page.
The document rendered with Safari will be copied to a new Mail.app message which will be sent in its entirety.

  • Escalation emails based on SLA excluding Holidays and Weekends

    Hi All,
I have a requirement to send escalation emails based on customer agreed SLA's. The SLAs like No Activity on SR for # of Days, 1st Response (Hours), Age (weeks), etc. The email should be sent to SR Owner, his manager, director and so on based on Customer Tier.
Has anyone tried to factor Working Days into their SLA's through TimeBased WFs ?
For example, a Service Request is raised on Friday and I would like the number of days to close that service request to exclude Saturday and Sunday? Just wondered whether anyone had experience/recommendations with this?
    This is urgent.
    Thanks

    Hi Bob,
I think I'm going to ask you for the document too...
I developed an external integration program which calculates a date from another one (like timestampadd) but using the week-ends, holidays and opening hours...
If we can now do this within the CRM, it's awesome !
    Thanks,
    Max
