Is there a uk email address to complain to apple? .....I've bought an iMac which won't let me send emails, won't sync non purchased tunes and now seems to have lost me lost me my iTunes credit....needless to say after 3 weekends trying to remedy the email problems I want a refund!

No email contact. Suggest you contact the store where you purchased it as it is presumably still under warranty.

  • Does adobe have a email I can complain to?

I ordered software for my new mac not realizing that I left it on the Windows format for the software.  I called the very next day to address the problem and they were great about getting me taken care of.  They told me my software would be delivered to my house in 5-7 buisness days.  It is the 8th buisness day so I called to check up on it.  They told me that the transaction was not made completly and told me that they would refund it and it will take 5-7 buisness days to get the money back in my account.  Then I was told that I should just download the trial version in the meantime.  I explained that I have already did that and it has expired, hints try it before you buy it.  Then I was told that I can purchase it again, I explained that I dont have enough money in my account to cover it.  So now I am out of luck.  Adobe needs to realize most of their buyers are students, and students dont really have the best income coming in for them.  All i am trying to say is couldnt they somehow renew my trial version sense they are the ones that told me something that was not true, because I have been waiting around for days on the software so I can work on things.

I am replying to you in this public forum, because your company leaves me with little choice. I bought Adobe Photoshop CS6 (Windows, Enlgish) from Adobe.com, in June of this year. I want an install CD, a physical CD. I believe after spending almost 1,000.00 on software, this isn't too much to ask. Apparently Adobe disagrees.
First, I spend about 45 minutes trying to find a way to ask for it, then try your "canned responses" chat. Wow - for the top software company in the world (supposedly) that was extremely disappointing. Mac's Hardware has a better chat service than that, seriously. I was told after about 7 canned responses, to call Customer Support. Which I do. After a 34 minute wait, I am put in touch with a representative who's english is so bad, we spend 15 minutes getting my name, only ny first name, the last name takes another 15 minutes. Finally, she finds my product, and mysteriously hangs up on me. Which, even though she took my phone number, no one calls me back.
I am so disappointed. I have never had customer service like this from companies where I've spent far less money than with yours.
I would like a CD mailed to my home address. Do I need to complain to the BBB, ConsumerAffairs and everyone else that will listen to accomplish this?
Please help me speak to a person who speaks English and can help me, or I will have no choice but to complain, and keep complaining.

  • What's the email address for complaining my problems to Apple?

    same with the title.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
More than an email address, it's better to contact with Apple by phone > http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57
What are the problems you have with the computer?

  • Email address to complain

I need to make a formal complaint - please can you advise the email address I can send this to.

There are a number of big companies that do not use email for customer service, they consider it cumbersome and impersonal. I agee, I've been caught in too many cross email discussions.
Hope you have a good barrister or firm. If you take them to court they will most likely send an entire legal delegation.

  • Extended warranty T60p Broken for over a year, support now ignoring emails. Please help!

Hi, it has been over a year since I first contacted lenovo support about a screen issue and I still can't use the machine, support have been ignoring my emails for the past 3 weeks.
In June 2009 I upgraded the warranty of my T60p to 5 years. This time last year a problem developed with the screen where it would simply turn off every few seconds or minutes and I would have to open and close the screen several times to try and get it to turn back on, it was completely unusable.
When I called Lenovo however, they insisted that my T60p was no longer in warranty and the online warranty lookup showed the same thing. After dozens of emails, phone calls and several months later they finally accepted that it was still in warranty and agreed to repair the machine.
I sent the laptop in to be serviced and collected it a week or two later and when I tried to power it on when I got home  the situation was completely unchanged, the screen was turning off just as much if not more than before.
I immediately called/emailed Lenovo to complain and to arrange a repair and  once again sent it in.
When I collected it this time I turned it on to find that the new screen had some pretty serious water damage or something, along both sides of the display were a series of dark splotches.
Once again I contacted Lenovo to complain about the  way I had been treated and the terrible level of service I had received.
At this stage, I didn't trust that if it was sent away again I would ever receive a working laptop and since it cost  me about €50 (in postage and fuel) or so each time there was no way I was going to do that.
I'm also convinced that Lenovo have run out of new LCD panels for my model and were now using old broken ones since I had the screen replaced before any of this started and this new screen then developed the problem with turning off, so the screen had been replaced three times and all the replacements were faulty.
So in total I had already spent several hundred Euro upgrading the warranty  and then trying to get the machine repaired and had already wasted my time for over a year. I was offered an onsite repair which I still don't believe is good enough, though I did accept.
Support have now been ignoring my emails for over 3 weeks.
Either send an engineer to repair the laptop once and for all (if you are able to source an LCD panel of quality) or provide a replacement machine altogether.
Also, please extend my warranty to reflect the fact that I was refused service for over 9 months and have been left with a broken laptop for over a year.

    Hi SimonHayden,

  • Email from captivate without local client

Just like in YouTube (and similar). The user clicks email and the form appears, addressee is filled in, subject can be typed (or is automatic), message typed (or can be automatic), then click send and away it goes--without the need for a local email client. My learners click the email link and complain that MS Outlook comes up and they don't have Outlook. I know why that happens and the workaround but I don't have a way to get all the end users to configure their web browser's default email client. We work with 4500+ volunteers and the systems they use to take our courses are varied and outside our sphere of control. Also, the end users are unlikely to configure their email client if they click our email link in Captivate and get a message about Outlook not being configured (or installed).
Is there a widget that will do it?
    Thank you.
    Captivate 5.5

Trying to use email reporting via the default methods available in Captivate is unlikely to be successful under the circumstances you describe where end user email clients and configurations are widely varied.
This forum contains many posts from users that have experienced issues with email reporting.  It's not Captivate's fault per se.  It's just due to the fact that there are too many variables involved in the way email is handled on end user's PCs.

  • Google blocks receipt of IPv6 email sent by OS X Server

If you are using both IPv4 and IPv6 internet connections and your email users are complaining about not receiving email, especially Google email, read on.
I use a Mac Mini running OS X Server to provide email addresses for officers in our civic association.  Most of the mail was going through but more and more complaints were coming in claiming non-receipt of email.  The mail was not in the recipients spam folder, either.
Postfix on the MacMini would send using either IPv4 or IPv6 connections when forwarding to the recipient email account.  Sending SMTP mail on using either IPv4 or IPv6 to test sites works perfectly.  Google, for some reason, has decided to refuse IPv6 connections that do not resolve with a rPTR record for sending IPv6 address.  Getting a PTR record set for IPv6 isn't always possible and there isn't a good reason why Google needs to be this restrictive.  If the email went to Google using the IPv4 route, messages would arrive in the destination mailboxes just fine since the Google rules on mail sent by IPv4 servers are less restrictive.
Two others have written how to overcome this situation on LINUX servers here http://tanguy.ortolo.eu/blog/article109/google-ipv6-smtp-restrictions and here http://christian.skala.me/blog/gmail-why-are-you-doing-this-to-me/#.VHDsUbnkHYs
These solutions work well on OS X Server's implementation of POSTFIX as long as you change the path names to the files.  So if you run into this problem on your OS X Server here are steps to force all email sent to gmail.com to use IPv4 and mail to all other domains can use wither IPv4 or IPv6.  This is the same process documented in the above links changed to work with the file paths used by POSTFIX in OS X Server
Edit /Library/Server/Mail/Config/postfix/transport using your favorite text editor (I use BBEdit) and add these lines:
    Limit gmail.com to IPv4
    gmail.com smtp-ipv4:
Edit /Library/Server/Mail/Config/postfix/master.cf and add these lines:
    Limit gmail.com to IPv4
    smtp-ipv4 unix -       -       -       -       -       smtp -o inet_protocols=ipv4
Using terminal turn the transport file into a database POSTFIX can use:
    sudo postmap /Library/Server/Mail/Config/postfix/transport
Edit /Library/Server/Mail/Config/postfix/main.cf and add these lines:
    Limit gmail.com to IPv4
    transport_maps = hash:/Library/Server/Mail/Config/postfix/transport
Use terminal to reload POSTFIX so the changes take place:
    sudo postfix reload
You should now be able to send email messages consistently to people with [email protected] addresses and they will always use the IPv4 route while email to other domains will take either IPv4 or IPv6 routes, depending on what is optimally available at the time.

It is increasingly common for (receiving) mail servers to want to check the IP address of a sending mail server matches the authorised listed mail server for a domain, there are various different ways this is done and I don't know whether a simple DNS forward/reverse comparison is one of them. One I do know Google use is SPF (Sender Policy Framework). This uses the addition of a txt record in your domain to list which mail servers are authorised for sending emails for your domain. The SPF rule can be set to be a 'hard' fail which means an unauthorised server is always blocked, or a 'soft' fail in which case it merely increases the spam score making it more likely to be marked as spam. There are other schemes as I mentioned like domain-records/domain-eys and so on.
To check to see if your domain has one of these records try the following in Terminal.app
    nslookup -query=txt domain.com
where domain.com is your domain name as used in your email address
Here is the relevant line resulting from checking google.com
    google.com text = "v=spf1 include:_spf.google.com ip4:216.73.93.70/31 ip4:216.73.93.72/31 ~all"
The ~all entry means 'soft' fail a -all would mean 'hard' fail. The rest of that line defines a group of hostnames to allow, and two IP address ranges to allow.
    For domain keys try
    nslookup -query=txt mail._domainkey.domain.com
There are other schemes but those are the ones I have used. These are all aimed at trying to filter out fake aka. spam emails, a lot of spam uses fake from email addresses.
One could also argue that at this stage one should have a valid IPv4 address (and reverse PTR) for a mail server so as to allow other IPv4 only connected mail servers to reach you. IPv6 is still not widely adopted unfortunately. It is possible to have DNS records for both IPv4 (an A record) and IPv6 (and AAAA record) and similarly both types of reverse PTR. If your ISP is giving you true IPv6 connectivity and you are running a mail server then I would expect such an ISP to be able to define PTR records. You may need to speak to your ISP about this. The need for a valid reverse PTR is equally valid for both IPv4 and IPv6 and an ISP should be able to do both.

  • Korean Language Fonts?

I recently composed a notice in Word2007, used Acrobat 9 to convert to PDF and posted the file on my webpage.  This is not the first time I have done this, but this time about 5 of my visitors have emailed me to complain that they get a notification that "Korean language fonts need to be installed for this document to display properly", or words to that effect.  When I check from my desk (Win 7/Firefox 3) I see no notice.  From my son's laptop (Win XP/Firefox 3), I get the notice, accompanied by a "Download Now" button.  Visitors using Safari and Int Explorer get the notice but no download option, just a blank file.
This is a new quirk - where is the need for Korean fonts coming from?  The document is in English.  How do I make this document accessible for all visitors? The "Document > Properties" windows shows nothing about non-English or other unusual fonts.

I just realized that all the fonts listed are ANSI-encoded, except ArielUnicodeMS, which is encoded as "KSCms-UHC-H" whatever the heck that is.  Might this appear to Acrobat as a foreign font?

  • Re: Why can't BT sort out a complaint properly

I have just had a NIGHTMARE trying to get a phone line and broadband package ordered from BT.
I have complained twice online and both complaints have been completely ignored. I have phoned, but spoken to foreign call centre staff who seem to have no idea what is going on, and have given me misleading information.
I am currently working in Singapore, returning to the UK in July and was trying to get a phone line/broadband installed before I get back so we are immediately up and running.
    (1) I ordered online, made an appointment to suit my keyholder, and looked forward to all going forward. The engineer turned up 5 hours early. Called the keyholder and demanded that they come then. Told her that the line could not be installed as a tree was in the way, that a report would be sent and left. The line that was removed, last year, by builders, was from a telegraph pole at the rear of the house, and there are no trees in the way. The engineer did not look past the end of his nose .
BT called me and asked if I still wanted the line (account?) and I said yes. I assumed that they would contact me re a plan to install the line.
About a week later an engineer called my keyholder (!) to discuss it, and by then she knew about the telegraph pole along the lane at the side/rear of the house, but she said he didn’t appear to be listening to her.
    (2) I tried to call BT to discuss the installation (I had to use my UK mobile at vast expense as you cannot call an 0800 number from abroad, and the call centre were not able to call me back as they are not allowed to call numbers not in the UK) and to try and speak with the line installation people. Not possible. Outsourced to BT openreach (who will not discuss the issue with the customer, only the provider - in this case BT).
(3). Call centre said they couldn't reschedule engineers visit as it hadn't been 'closed' on the system. I emailed. I complained. No response from BT. I couldn't reschedule, and no one contacted me - my email and phone number were both readily available.
    (4) The order was cancelled. Rang the call centre who said they could reinstate it, and that they would email me when they had. No email.
Rang the order line for customers from overseas and FINALLY spoke to someone British (called Scott, who was incredibly helpful). Essentially he said I had to start again from scratch (that order and billing do not have any communication with installation and it was all Outreach’s fault, but that I couldn’t talk to  them about it), and that he would put me through to customer services who would be able to refund the money I had already paid (line rental saver and broadband equipment delivery charge). Unfortunately they weren’t open yet and all I got was a recorded message.
    (5) I emailed billing explaining what had happened and ask for the monies to be refunded. Someone replied saying they would close the account and I would get a final bill with the credit. Today I received a Final bill from BT charging me £99 for the privilege of NOT HAVING A BT LINE INSTALLED.
    (6) I also tried to email Outreach, to discuss the engineering situation and to ensure that when the engineer arrives on the 5th July (when I will be there) to install the line I get someone competent who is aware of the situation. I received a response saying that outreach will not communicate with its customers.
I AM so annoyed and stressed about this. Why does absolutely no one within BT seem to know how the system works.  I actually made some very sensible constructive suggestions in my complaint (110525-xxxxxx) which it would be nice to know that someone in authority has read and acted upon, but somehow I doubt it.

  • Windows users are not receiving attachments sent out of Mail

I am a consultant. I use Mail in Snow Leopard. Software is up to date.
Our business uses Microsoft Exchange Server 2003. All other consultants in the company are using Windows. In Mail I connect via IMAP. It has worked flawlessly until recently.
Recently, my corporate clients (various clients not related to one another nor using the same email server) have complained that they are not receiving my email attachments. It is not universal. It is inconsistent, even with the same client. Sometimes the attachments are there and sometimes not.
I have verified two things. 1) That the attachments are present in the emails in my outbox. 2) That the emails leave our server with the attachment (I accomplished this by contacting our Microsoft Exchange service provider and giving them examples, which they tracked down and verified that the emails left them with the attachments.).
Our service provider suggested that Mail is adding something to the email that is causing Outlook (the common denominator is that the clients receiving the emails are all on Outlook) to strip the attachment. Or, the antivirus is stripping it. Something about the Mail email is causing Outlook or some antivirus software to strip the attachments.
Has anyone else encountered this? Is there something that can be done?
Right now I've had to go to Thunderbird in order for my attachments to be received. I'd rather stay with Mac all the way, but I cannot trust that my clients will receive attachments.
I'm hoping that when our company changes to MS Exchange Server 2007, that the problem will go away, since Mail can interface with the 2007 version directly. But, until then, I would really like to stick with Mail, if I can find a work around.
    Thanks.
    Matt

I am now having exactly the same problem.  But here is a new wrinkle.  ALL the persons having the problem you describe - that attachments are stripped off - are using cox.net as their e-mail provider.   I am not saying that all cox.net mail users are having the problem, but those having the problem are among the cox.net e-mail users.  None of my recipients using aol.com, yahoo.com, gmail.com, verizon.net, zona.net, etc. are having any problems.  Only some of the cox.net e-mail users.
I suspect but have not checked that they are all PC users (I use a Mac with Mail) and, now that I have become aware of this thread, I will check if they use Outlook.
It started a few months ago.  I had no problems before and now this, with the same people.  Obviously something must have changed but what?
Please let me know if you have found anything more about this - or even a solution?  :-)

  • Mail accounts are gone

I'm really hoping someone can help with this issue so I don't have to go through months of mail again.
I was running Mail.app and it started behaving strangely.  I was sending an email and it complained about the (SMTP Auth) password for the outgoing server.  I entered the correct password a few times but it still kept on asking.  I went into the smtp server settings and it showed the server as offline.  I opened those settings and entered the correct password there directly.  As I did this, I noticed that every account except iCloud seemed to be having these problems and as I messed with the settings, each one disappeared from the selection list when I had an outgoing email open.  At this point Mail was asking me for passwords for all of my accounts, except iCloud.  Interestingly enough, before all this started it should a connectivity problem for iCloud but never asked me for passwords.
So I quit Mail and opened it up again and all of my accounts (about 5 or 6) except iCloud were gone.  No inboxes and accounts not showing in the preferences.  Prevoius mail is gone too, even from folders I'd moved mail into.
~/Library/Mail/V2 still shows all the mailboxes for the accounts.
I've tried restoring these entire trees from various points in the last 24 hours of time machine backups:
    ~/Library/Mail
    ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.mail
Makes no difference.  I even tried going back 4 days and got the same results.
One strange thing I noticed is that in ~/Library/Mail/V2/MailData the Accounts.plist has a date of August 25, 2012.  Is that file simply not used anymore or did it get restored back to a really old version for some reason I am not aware of.  I have not done any TM restores in a while so I am pretty sure I didn't do this inadvertantly.  If I look back through TM for the last month, it always has that same data, so presumably it hasn't changed.
I opened the com.apple.mail.plist file in XCode and I can't see any account info in there, so it would seem to be stored somewhere else.
    Any ideas?

I tried one more time restoring these two file trees:
    ~/Library/Mail
    ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.mail
The Accounts.plist which supposedly contains the list of accounts still has the same 2012 date.  When I did this it went through the splash screen that says it is importing mailboxes, but only imported iCloud related ones.
Interestingly enough, I had previously (after the problem occured) added back two of the missing accounts manually.  Those are still there.  But I restored the files from before when I added those back.
Clearly it is storing the list of accounts somewhere other than those two locations.  But where?

  • Unpleasant experience at a local Apple store

    Hi
I'd like to share my experience at a local Apple store. I am not sure this is the right place to initiate this but I couldn't find an email link for complaining about the Apple customer service.
My wife has a Iphone4 and she has cracked panels for both front and back side. She's been to the Apple store at Bethesda, MD and one of the staffs told her she should pay $29 for repair the front side panel and also she offered her a free phone replacement.
At that time, she didn't backup the phone. So she did a backup and visited other Apple store at Tysons Corner, VA. The staff told us we have to pay $140 something for repairs and there is no replacement policy for her phone available. That's fine. Why each Apple store has different policy? OK. That's fine.
The worse thing happened was the staff was very unkind and unprofessional. We felt like he looked down on us. Even he said why we did not fix the phone at the Bethesda store. He made fun of us saying just bring the phone to there. He kept making sneering smile on his face and talked with the other staff about the situation. They laughed at us.
I was so unpleasant and asked him to call his manager. And the manager kept saying the different policy and never mentioned about his wrong and arrogant attitude toward customer. I can't understand this situation and I strongly appeal this to Apple customer service dept.
I need to have a reasonable apologies from him and the manager which they refused to tell on the day. The address of the Apple store is
    1961 Chainbridge Road McLean, VA 22102 (703) 336-8450.
How can I report this to the customer service representative?
    Thanks.
