Email .pdf file

I working on a web based application where the user wants to be able to open a form saved as a pdf, modify the form and then send the form to another user as an uneditable attachment. The user will not have Adobe writter on their machine.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

You should look at adobe FDF. This allows you to fill in forms within a web application, however it does not allow you to save the resulting PDF for e-mail purposes.
There are some third party tools that will allow you to do this like ActivePDF.
This is not really a Java question and so your post may be better suited to a different forum.

Hi Jaideep,
You can change the mail title at Output determination.
T/code NACE--> Application > Outputtype> Select O/P --> select Mail title and texts --> specify your text( with language) in "title" .
Whenever Script send via e-mail the text you have entered will apear as mail title.

SAP version 4.7 Email pdf file that is password protected.

Hi Gurus,
We have a requirement:
Email pdf file that is password protected.
Once the user receives the email, clicks on the attached pdf file,
     it should ask the password. Note that Password value should come from SAP.
What we have done is get the spool number and by using function module CONVERT_ABAPSPOOLJOB_2_PDF, it converts the spool document to pdf.
On this function module, there are no parameters to make pdf as password protected and
also include the password. This is the problem.
Question:
   (a) Is there a way to make pdf password protected that will be emailed?
        What function modules, etc to be used? (sample coding if available)
   (b) Somebody mentioned the that Adobe LiveCycle Policy Server should be installed together with SAP.
        If this is installed, how then would be the abap coding be in order to make the pdf password
            protected?
        How is the new policy server gonna be linked to SAP and how do the abap coding gonna be?
           (sample abap coding if available)

I am unable to email pdf files. Cant print them either

I am unable to email PDF files or print them. This happened after i upgraded my Adobe. I have deleted the program and reinstalled several times.

Windows 7 & adobe reader xi. PDFs will only print a partial page. All other files print. Can't email a PDF attachment. An error message comes up that reads....your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. This only happens with PDF files

Yes you should be able to email a PDF from iBooks. When you tap the arrow in the upper left the option should appear.
Maybe some basic troubleshooting steps will help.
Quit the iBooks app completely and restart the iPad. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar. Restart the iPad.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Or .... Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
You may want to consider deleting the app and reinstalling. Tap and hold down on the app icon until it jiggles, then tap the X on the icon. Tap the home button to stop the apps from jiggling. Download iBooks again.

Saving an emailed PDF File

All of a sudden I can no longer save PDF files to my hard drive. When one is emailed to me, I click on it and go to "Save" and the disc keeps spinning. If I click on "Export as a pdf" it asks for the owner password. I put my password in and it does not accept it. Any Answers? Thanks!

Have you tried to just drag it out of the email to your desktop?

Sending email PDF files to iBooks

I received an email with 4 PDF files attached. 3 of them displayed as a PDF icon, but one fully displayed in the email. This prevented me from sending it to iBooks (which is very useful). It could be that the displayed one was only one page (the others were more than 1 page). My question is how do I get the displayed pdf file to ibooks?

You should be able to press and hold the PDF in the email body, and after a second or two a popup should appear with 'Open in' options - does that happen ?

PDF files are extremely reliable. You may have a software issue. I have the problem on 2 identical systems with the exact same specs. The problem occurs at the same exact interval. It may be a windows update. We have had to re-install software form the DVD in each instance. This fixes it for awhile and then it recoccurs. Adobe acts as if they have never heard of the problem...imagine that. I'm the only one with th problem.
This is happens with CS6 volume lic product.
If you dont own Adobe product it will be even more difficult to find and answer as the reader is used my so many people.
We know we have the problem again when we double click opn a PDF and nothing happens. SOme have reported that reloading does not fix the problem.
Wish I could help you. I am looking for answers to this issue right now and phone support is a 30 minute wait.

Email PDF file - create temp PDF file not where Report Run

I mail a report from Reports 6 automatically every morning using Rwrub60 and desname [email protected] in a batch file. The problem is that you need to have write access to the directory that contains the batch file or else you get a cannot create output file error. When I copy the batch file to another directory where write access is available, no problem but the batch file must be in the original directory.
I am trying to pass this onto someone elese who doesnt have the rights I have.
Any thoughts?

Email pdf files XML report error

Hi,
I have a conc prog which bursts pdf invoices and then it will send an email to given email id.
we are storing email id's in a custom table as
invoice number email address
xxxx123 [email protected]
yyyy234 [email protected]
zzzz456 [email protected],[email protected]
when we run the conc prog for xxxx123 invoice then it is creating pdfs as well as sending an email to [email protected] address.
But when we run for zzzz456 then it is creating pdfs and sending an email to [email protected],[email protected] email addresses.
But the issue is if for the invoice zzzz456 any of the email address from [email protected],[email protected] is invalid email id then it is not sending an email to any of the email address.It suppose to send an email to right email id and it should bounce for other invliad email id.
I have tried for single email id(some junk email id) also,But Samething happend no email or no bounce back email.
Could you please suggest me how can i handle this issue.

As I said earlier i am storing multiple email addresses in a custom table for each invoice.I am fetching the email id in a formula column for that particular invoice and trying to send an email.Custom table may not have email id for all the invoices.we are storing the email addresses only for the invoices to be emailed.

How do I email (or share) pdf files I have stored on my Galaxy Note II?

I have been using Galaxy Note 2 and used to be able to send pdf files using Adobe Reader to myself and to others. I believe there used to be a "share option" at the top which allowed me to do this. After updating Adobe Reader, this option disappeared. The only thing remotely close to the share option is "export PDF" (a for fee service that converts to Word or other file formats) but this is not what I want or need. Can someone help me email PDF files stored on my Galaxy Note ii?

Android phones (including your Galaxy Note 2) has the Menu key at the bottom.
Open a PDFdocument in Adobe Reader for Android.
Tap your phone's Menu key at the bottom. Reader will display a menu.
Tap Share.
Select an app to use for sending email.

When I opened outlook yesterday, there was a 7 mb pdf I needed to review. I moved my cursor over the pdf. A description window opened detailing the pdf specs. However, Double clicking did not open the pdf. Right clicking did not open a drop down options window. I had the file sent to me three times under different names but the pdf would not open. Opening up older emails I discovered that I could no longer open any pdf from outlook.
You can go to top highlight attachment and then save attachment.
But what changed and how to I change it back to be able to open pdf from outlook when reviewing email.
