Emails saved in my DRAFT folder freeze my screen when opened

Neither the SEND nor the CANCEL button activate so the whole email system is frozen.

Try closing the Mail app completely and see if it works when you re-open it : from the home screen (i.e. not with the Mail app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Mail app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

  • In Mail, How can I continue editing an email saved as a draft?

In Mail, seems that once I save an email I've been working on to the Drafts folder, when I reopen it, I cannot continue editing it.
In Mail, How can I continue editing an email saved as a draft to the drafts folder?
    Steve

Came here to find the solution but eventually found one myself. You just simply double click on the e-mail you want to edit on the left pane, and it'll open a composing window.

  • After hitting send a draft is still saved in the draft folder.

When responding to an email it automatically saves into the draft folder which is great! However, after hitting send, the email stays in the draft folder. I do hear the "swoosh" sound so I know the email is sent, but I have to go in and delete the emails in the draft folder occassionally. I have received emails back from people even though the message is still in drafts so I know they are being received.

Is this a Gmail account? I've seen that behavior and the solution has been to turn off the feature of saving drafts to the server (see Mail - Preferences - Accounts - Mailbox Behaviors).

  • Why are my deleted emails saving in my 'pictures' as a PDF adobe when they should have been in my deleted email file not saved in my pictures??????

Why are my deleted emails saving in 'my pictures' as a PDF adobe when they should have been in my deleted email file not saved
    in my pictures??????

I deleted emails from my windows emails and when I went into my pictures there was all my recently deleted items as pdf adobe files and I cannot right click and delete. But why would my deleted emails be going to my pictures in the first place. So i think it must be in how the adobe program is set up and need to know how to change the settings so my deleted emails are not sent to my pictures.I do not know what other details you would require?

  • Email format lost in draft folder

Is there a way to keep the formatting when saving an email to the draft folder?
I'm using Yosemite, and when saving an email to the draft folder, upon reopening it, it loses its 'rich text' format (even if I select the 'Rich Text' option in the 'composing' tab of preferences), hence all the hyperlinks, font formatting, lists, etc.
I suspect it's a bug, but does anybody have any suggestion? Thx

I still don't know WHY the mail draft disappeared (anyone an idea?), but at least I have it back!
I went to home>Library>Mail>POP-xxx>Drafts.mbox>Messages and from there entered TM, went 2 days back where I found it.

  • Why does email appear in the draft folder after email is sent

could someone tell me why emails I am sending appear in the draft folder even after the email has been sent and is in the sent folder?

Do you get draft emails every time your write an email, or do you just have a pesky email in drafts? There's a big difference.
If it happens every time, it could be that your email isn't being sent to your recipient. If it happened only once, it's just an incomplete email you haven't sent or deleted yet.
    Which is your situation?

  • Email's staying in 'Drafts' folder in OWA (Exchange 2013)

    Hi Guys,
I have am setting up a new Exchange 2013 Server. The server is hosting both Mailbox and Transport Roles. When I try and send emails from OWA they are placed in the 'Drafts' folder and never leave the server.
I have tried to run a SMTP Test using Telnet but I can't get it to accept requests from my computer I keep getting the following error.

I have changed the email addresses to protect our email servers from spam. Does anyone have any suggestions I have included a screen capture of my Receive connectors as I have a feeling this issue might be linked to they way they are configured.

    Hi,
Did you install CAS role in your company?
Please check if all the Exchange services on the server have started via Test-Servicehealth. Especially Exchange Transport service and Mailbox transport service.
In addition, I recommend you refer to the following article to check if the receive connector was configured correctly:
How to Configure a Relay Connector in Exchange Server 2013
This article demonstrates how to meet the following two requirements in Exchange Server 2013
Internal SMTP relay – the ability to make an SMTP connection to an Exchange 2013 server and send email to recipients that are internal to the organization
(for example, a “scan to email” feature on a multi-function print device)
External SMTP relay – the ability to make an SMTP connection to an Exchange 2013 server and send email to recipients that are outside the organization (for example, applications or hardware that sends automated reports or alerts to external
    vendors or consultants)
    Hope this helps!
    Thanks.

  • Accessing email on-line.  Draft folder says 4294967295. Why?

My Draft folder says 4294967295.  I've deleted the email account and this number (beside the title "Drafts") goes away but, after putting the account back on the phone, this number comes back a day or so later.  Any ideas why I get this and how would I delete it permanently?
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Scott

I figured it out myself, by clicking the plus button and typing the word 'drafts' and the folder reappeaered!

  • Drafts folder for Conversations screen in messagin...

    I have an E7 with Symbian^3 with a pre-Anna update of 14.002.
I've noticed that when you are using the conversations screen in the messaging application, if you are typing a message and then your finger inadvertently hits the 'back button' (which I find quite easy on the E7), that everything you typed is wiped out.  No drafts folder seems to exist for conversations.
Is this the standard behavior?  Is there some option to at least save what you had typed out to the Drafts folder in the messaging application?  It would certainly be nice to have the functionality I'm talking about.

It was recommended in another thread that you uncheck the "Store draft messages on server" option (it's in the Mailbox Behaviors pane of the Accounts preference in Mail). I have the same problem and have just tried that change, though it's too soon to know if that's fixed it. My suspicion is that if the IMAP server is sluggish, the draft email is being saved but not cleared quickly enough and so it appears in the Drafts folder.
    Hope this helps.

  • When is Draft folder Sent mail and when is it STUCK mail?

i am having problems with outgoing mail and adding to this i am having problems figuring out what has in fact been sent!
obviously if i have mail in a SENT folder it has presumably been sent and arrived.
however, if i have mail in a DRAFT folder does this mean it specifically has not been sent? i mean, i oftentimes find /partial/ drafts in my DRAFT folder and i am wondering if i need to look at the draft email to see if it is completed or partially (god only knows how reliable this will be) with the assumption that if it is PARTIALLY COMPLETED there may in fact be a completed version of it in the SENT folder? alternatively, do i have to somehow search the SENT folder to see if the email is there to see that it is not in fact stuck in the draft folder?
i just ran into FOUR emails that do not appear to have been sent to the person that i was sending to but since i think i hit SEND on all of them i cannot 1. figure out why they were in the DRAFT FOLDER but more importantly i 2. CANNOT FIGURE OUT WHICH MAIL IN THE DRAFT FOLDER IS BASICALLY stuck in the OUTBOX. and since there does not appear to be an outbox in Mail on my macs (as there is in Mail on my iPhone or in Sparrow on my iPhone iu basically have to ask a byzantine question like this to figure out an absolutely mission critical issue as to whether important business mail is basically stuck in mail on my mac and WHY i don't know about this and cannot figure it out either.
    bueller, bueller, bueller....

I know there is an issue in Mavericks Mail with messages being saved to Drafts that were actually sent, but am not sure if this also affects Mountain Lion Mail.
What is happening as you compose your message, Mail is saving the current version in Drafts. It's supposed to remove the Draft message after sending but in Mavericks Mail this is currently not working as expected. The workaround is to save your Drafts for IMAP accounts to the "On My Mac" Drafts Folder.
If you put Mail in offline mode then try to send you should see your Outbox.
Personally, I know I often start a message then before I complete I get a call and forget about the message only to find it later in the day hiding behind my Mail window.
You can eliminate Mail by testing in Postbox and MailMate. Both have demos.
    http://www.postbox-inc.com/  $9.95
    http://freron.com  $49.99
Setup in MailMate is super easy since it imports your account info from Mail. MailMate supports IMAP only.
Postbox has a nice interface and includes features like adding DropBox links in a message.

  • With Netscape all of the Webcam shots from live feeds were automatically saved in my cache folder and I could simply open my cache send the saved files into AcDsee and convert them into jpgs, It would save as many as I would allow space for. With firefox

I cant retrieve my images from webcams that are cached any more with mozilla. With netscape all of the live webcam images from live cams were automatically saved in my cache folder and all i had to do was open it send the files to acdsee and turn them into jpgs. It would save them untill the Cache ran out of room no matter how many files or sites I had running. Mozilla seems to save what it wants when it wants and often dose not save any that I can retrieve because I believe it is bulking them into Cache 123 or 4 and those i cant open to retrieve the files. Sometimes it saves 100 or so and sometimes 2 or 3 sometimes 10 or more but i don't seem to have any control over what it does or does not save to retrieve no matter how much space i allow for the cache to save.

You have or had an extension installed (Ant.com Toolbar) that has changed the user agent from Firefox/3.6.3 to Firefox/3.0.12.
You can see the Firefox version at the top and the user agent at bottom of the "Help > About" window (Mac: Firefox > About Mozilla Firefox).
You can check the '''general.useragent''' prefs on the '''about:config''' page.
You can open the ''about:config'' page via the location bar, just like you open a website.
    Filter: '''general.useragent'''
If ''general.useragent'' prefs are bold (user set) then you can right-click that pref and choose ''Reset''.

  • Adobe Reader freezes all browsers when opening a url to a PDF containing form fields...

There is an issue we are currently experienceing with Adobe Acrobat 9 (updated to the latest version) where ALL BROWSERS (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome and Safari) on each of two different systems (a MacBook Pro with Mac OSX Leopard and a Sony Vaio Laptop with Windows Vista) where the application will freeze up and crash the browser when we view a .pdf file from a url if the .pdf file iteself contains form fields.
At first I though it may have been specific to Mac OSX and this MacBook we were trying to view the document on, but the same issue is now occuring with a new Sony Vaio laptop (running Windows Vista) as well.
It seems like it is able to open .pdf documents containing form fields when they are stored locally, but when trying to access them via a url, the program will freeze up.  Sometimes it will eventually work if you had previously opened a .pdf prior to opening it via the url link and sometimes it doesn't.  And it seems to only be related to .pdfs containing fillable form fields (others open fine when accessing them by a url)
Obviously it's become quite irratating and I'm hopeing I can find some insight on this support forum as to what may be causing this issue.
Previous versions of Acrobat (installed on the MacBook) opened this very same .pdf file (url) fine before upgrading to version 9.
Any help is greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

  • Only tab on the screen when opening thunderbird is "Archive-email address". Cannot access inbox.

laptop will not show received e-mails. When opening Thunderbird new e-mails seem to download but the tab on the screen is: "[email protected].." and no way to to get to any other tab i.e. 1015 or inbox. Both upnew & MINI work ok and Mom's is ok, Now the laptop wants to "send later"

Do you not have a pane, usually down the left hand side, showing your accounts and their folders?
Make sure that View|Layout|Folder Pane is checked.
