Embedded HTML form disappears from "Featured News Widget"

Hello!
I am using the featured news widget for my tabs. I have a few forms that need to included. I've embedded the html from jotform (where I created the forms). I added it the widget. It works fine on the first rollover, but when you go off and then go back to it, the form disappears. Not sure how to fix this.

If you click on "vertical involvement", the form shows up. Then if you click on another tab and go back to "vertical involvement", the form disappears.

Nevermind. Fixed the issue. It was a jotform. Use the iframe code instead of embed.

Adobe Muse "Featured News Widget"

When I use the "Featured News Widget" all my text boxes are the same size as my largest. I tried to resize the others but it won't let me. Is there a way?

I am having the same trouble with both the Accordian Panel and the Lightbox Display Composition.

The "Political" section is the shortest and contains way too much negative space at the bottom. Another example can be found in the "Sketchbook" section of the linked site above.

Does using the featured news widget limit searchability?

I am using muse to create my site, which has not yet been launched. In order to dsplay a large amount of info in a great way, I have used the featured news widget. Am I likely to reduce the searcability of this information having it displayed in this way?
I already feel a little compromised as I cannot add anchors to each of the news headers, I can only link to the first page.
The only other way I can see of displaying the information in a similar way is to create a long page with anchors at the section headers. It look okay but nowhere near as nice as when displayed in the widget. Will it increase my searchability by having it displayed in this way, rather than in the widget?
Any help would be great.

Hi Clare,
Muse generates proper HTML code for all the content that you place inside a Featured News widget (both in the trigger and target). So the content is as much searchable as any other content on the page. The content is just shown or hidden based on user interaction and not really added dynamically using JavaScript. So it should not hamper the searchability of content on your pages in that context. It should be as good as placing all the content on a long page. If you use any online services/tools to check/analyze the content searchability, you can compare the results of two versions for clarity.

Featured news widget and shifting site down on opening?

How do I get the featured news widget to drop down the entire site when open. Currently it stays in a closed state until triggered open. How do I get it so that when its open it moves everything below it down on the site. Currently it just opens and depending on the layer just goes right on top or underneath whatever content is there. Is this feature available or only for the accordion style widget?

Yes. The ability to push content down and back up based on whether the content is showing or hidden is only available for the Accordion Widget. The Composition Widgets always occupy as much space as is required to render all the triggers and targets (be it placed below or above other page content) and will show/hide based on user interaction without reflowing the neighboring content.

How to stop application folder form disappearing from the dock

I'm on MAC OS 10.6.7 on my Macbook 7.1. My applications folder disappeared from the dock. I can drag a new copy from the Mac Hard Disk folder to the dock (to the right of the dashed line (my dock is at the bottom) and it appears with an Address book icon. After 10 to 15 seconds, the icon disappears.
Anyone know what is going on and how to fix this?

Not sure why this is happening, but try this. This is the way I've done it. First, make an alias of the folder (File>make alias) and put it somwhere, like Documents. Then, copy drag it (Option-click) to the part of the dock below or to the side of the separator near the Trash icon. This will place an alias of the folder in the Dock. You must keep the first alias you made.
You can also make one just for Utilities, the same way. The app folder will appear with an A and the Utilties folder will appear with an X.
EDIT: It's been a while now, but I think I got rid of the default app folder because I didn't like the way it looked and functioned.
You can also see I put an alias of my home folder there, as well.
Might as well mention another customisation. Get Tinkertool (free) Go to Dock>Disable Dock Expose to get rid of the very annoying -- at least to me -- entire screen turning black when opening one of the Dock icon's options.

How to make embedded HTML form look normal?

In Muse, if I Insert HTML code with:
<form action="action_page.php">
First name:<br>
<input type="text" name="firstname" value="Mickey">

Last name:<br>
<input type="text" name="lastname" value="Mouse">

<input type="submit" value="Submit">
</form>
…the form is displayed in my Muse page. However, it doesn't look normal, meaning:
- The text fields have no border and appear to be invisible until you start typing in them.
- The Submit button size is minimal, wrapping tightly around the text, and there is no border or bevel.
* I have experimented with specifying an HTML border and width in the above code, with no change in results.
Basically, this HTML code looks normal in a regular .html page. However, in a Muse page (with Insert HTML), the visual appearance of the form elements looks abnormal… stripped-down.
Can anyone suggest a way to add HTML form content and make it look correct? I don't want to use the Muse Form Widgets, because they all "require" the email field, and I don't want that capability. Thanks for any suggestions.

I answered my own problem.
It seems that the solution is having knowledge of CSS, which I don't. That's what Muse is supposed to provide, and I'm not a CSS expert.
At http://www.ronpershing.com/blog/how-to-make-a-custom-contact-form-in-adobe-muse/ , Ron Pershing gives some very simple code on making it all work with Muse. I'm not affiliated with him or his website, but since he was kind enough to publish a solution, his work should get some attention.

If you are, try force closing the App store app by double-tapping the home button, locating the App store in the list, swiping up on the image above the icon to close it, then tapping the home button again. Then lauch the app store and try purchaing the app again.

Apps disappearing from my new iPad 2 after I joined the iCloud, then they show up on my PC iTunes! How can I prevent this from happening??

I just bought my first Apple computer - an iPad 2. I downloaded a bunch of apps and they showed up on my desktop and I was using them. I then turned on the iCloud function, and soon after all my apps were gone from the iPad. Today I just noticed that they now show up on my home PC iTunes under APPS. I don't want them there! If you have iTunes 11 on your computer then you can enable the left-hand sidebar on it via option-command-S on a Mac, control-S on a PC - when connected (and if your computer's iTunes is up-to-date) your iPad should then appear on that sidebar under a 'Devices' heading :
If you select the iPad on that sidebar you can then use the Movies tab on the right-hand side of the iTunes screen to select and sync that film to your iPad's Videos app.

I can't find the duplicates tab that i always found useful, it seems to have disappeared from the new iTunes, does anybody know what to do next?

Where has the find duplicates function gone in the new iTunes? It use to be in a drop down task bar menu in the old versions but i can't find it in the latest.

If you have iTunes 11 turn on the Sidebar. Go to iTunes>View and click on Show Sidebar. You can also do a Crtl+S to show the sidebar. The sidebar is where Devices appears. and Control+B to show the Menu bar

How do I close a Featured News widget?

Is it possible to have it close again by clicking on the first tab like you can do with an accordion widget?
I'm trying to make a dropdown menu that goes out to the side instead of dropping down...

Now I'm having issues getting an accordion on my master page, to be in front of the images on other pages. It comes down in front on all of the main pages, but comes down behind on all of the sub-pages. Is there a way to fix that?

How do I edit the featured news widget?

Feeling like an idiot but can't figure how to edit the widget and there's no documentation that I can find.
Do I delete all the triggers and start with one trigger and target? Then duplicate? How would I then go back up the line and re-edit text?

Would I be able to add more then the 3 triggers and target when I drag the widget out, or do I need to cut and paste this each time?

I want to have a list of names and as I hover over each one a different image appears, though I am hoping I won't have to keep cutting and pasting it each time.

FEATURED NEWS BUG WORKAROUNDS?

When I place a Featured News Widget with a TARGET that overlaps (is in a layer above) a slide show, and choose HORIZONTAL or VERTICAL as the TRANSITION, it renders the Slideshow on the layer underneath INACTIVE, unrepsonsive to any commands. When I change the TRANSITION to fading, it works just fine. Any clues?

You can embed the form on your website, but you need to make sure that javascript has been enabled in the browser. You need to copy the embed code and add it into your HTML code. Featured news composition widget causing crash?

It seems there is a problem with the featured news widget. Actually several... First, you are unable to replace the photos by clicking on a folder icon at the top like you can do with slideshows. To get around this, I just deleted the stock images and filled the frame with a new image, so that’s not too big a problem, it just seems you should be able to somehow change the existing picture rather than deleting and adding a whole new image.
The next issue I encountered is that I can’t edit the bars to the left together. I am having to go to each individual “bar” and change all the states. Also, when I clicked the plus button to add new “bars” it would add only blank bars and a blank frame to the right, so I would have to copy the text box from the bars above and paste them to the new bars, plus also copy the stock image and text from one of the first three boxes to the right and paste that as well to each new box. It seems that when you click the plus button it should fill in the same contents as the “bar” above it, right?
Then, the major issue: once I changed all the states and had it all set up, I tried to save the site and it gave me an error message and didn't save any of the changes I had just made. I know a lot of other people have had this happen. Luckily this is pretty much the only change I made to the site since the last time I saved it, so it makes me think that somehow the widget is the problem and reason for the crash.

Many thanks for your 'correct' and prompt answer. I tried to make it CORRECT on the Forum, but after clicking the link, did not know where to go since this is my first time using this forum.
As it turned out, I was indeed using the font (Georgia) but did not realize that this particular font can also be used as a System font as well. So I chose the wrong Georgia font which was the System font. I corrected this issue throughout and made doubly sure that I used the Web Font Georgia.
