Embedded Printer Webpage & Java Issues

I work with many LaserJets daily and I also do a great deal of troubleshooting for them. I`ve been able to figure out or I just simply knew how to fix many of the problems our printers present. They are all very old devices. They are the following, along with the number of each that I`m responsible for:
-HP LaserJet 4100 (12)
-HP LaserJet 4050 (3)
-HP LaserJet 3052 (23)
-HP LaserJet M1522n (1)
-HP LaserJet 1200 (1)
-HP LaserJet 1300 (1)
-HP Color LaserJet 4600 (4)
-HP Color LaserJet 3700 (1)
-HP Color LaserJet CP2025dn (1)
-HP Color LaserJet 2605dn (1)
It`s not a huge number of printers but there is high demand for printing and when I get calls for printers offline, it is almost always the same issue...the device has been assigned a new IP.
Now I`m aware that setting the cinfiguration to Manual, or static, thge IP will stick to its printer and not change. I have set most of them to have a static IP but others use an old, external Jet Direct print server. You know, the kind that have the big paralell port. I can`t seem to access those device`s embedded webpages no matter what I do and I`ve done jkust about everything. I keep getting a message that says the Java plug-in needs to be updated. I updated it and nothing. Still blocks me from accessing the webpage. I need to access the webpage to more easily make changes without having to run around campus troubleshooting.
Any idea on what could be causing the print server embedded webpage to not display? I get security warnings too, but tried alteringf those and still no luck.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hello RaelS.
To reset the EWS user name and password, you can try reset network settings to default.
Setup - Network - Restore Network Defaults.

  • PL/SQL log messages are not printing from Java concurrent program

    Hi,
    I have a strange issue while submitting the Java concurrent program through PL/SQL.
    I have a PL/SQL concurrent program which will invoke the Java concurrent program inside the package by use of "FND_GLOBAL.SUBMIT_REQUEST". It worked and submitted successfully. From that Java concurrent program we are calling some other PL/SQL packages and printing some log messages over there. But problem here is the request is only printing the Java log messages in view log but not the PL/SQL log messages.  But if I submit the Java concurrent program directly from SRS form at that it is printing both Java and PL/SQL log messages.
    I am just wondering how the log messages has not printed. Please provide your inputs to solve this problem.
    Thanks
    Suriya

    I'm adding log messages in the package body , but these messages are not printing after completion of concurrent prog.
    Any suggestions.

  • Just updated my MacBook Pro to 10.6.8 and now my Filemaker 11 databases (.fp7) do not view properly on my desktop.  Is this a java issue?

    Hi,
    Wondering if anyone knows what's going on with my Filemaker Database that will not view properly on my desktop after upgrading from 10.5 to 10.6.8 on
    my MacBook Pro.   Is this a Java issue?  The data is all there but all I see is blank boxes when I open or click on a specific area in the database.
    My Java version is SE 6 1.6.0.37-bo6-434.

    Let me understand:
    - you have purchased named canon, which is conencted to your PC running windows xp
    - downloaded driver for win xp, and canon works fine
    - canon is connected to that PC via USB
    - that Canon is also activated as network printer, by allowing print sharing in windows; how did you set that option?
    - now, you are in Mac OS x 10.6.8, downloaded Canon driver for Mac OS X, installed it, detected printer on the network, printer was installed; was it detected as attached to that PC running win XP? or not?
    or you set canon by being connected to your mac directly via USB?
    Now, there are some questions you should answer as some details are missing, and your initial text is not clear. Can you print if Canon is connected directly to your mac? did you try that? if not, do it before answering.

  • Won't print webpages in black and white

    Printing works fine when I am printing documents and other files, but when I want to print a webpage, printing is only done in color.  Even though I check 'Print black and white' on my computer's print preview page, and the print preview is in black and white, the printer still prints webpages in color.  What do I need to do to ensure that the commands I type on my computer reaches the printer? How do I make sure the printer is following the instructions I give it?  I am able to change it to black and white when I go into control panel > devices and printers > preferences > color > grayscale.  But when I have this checked it will only print in black and white and never color.  I am not able to figure out how to change it so that it prints black and white OR color depending on my command in the print preview page.  This is becoming very costly because of the uneccessary color ink that is being used so your help is appreciated.

  • XML Printing from Java

    I have an urgent request from my company's client to implement a feature of printing in our application.
    Actually the application is basically an XML Builder which generates XML code at the backend, something like Dreamweaver.
    I have no clue about printing in Java, and have not much time to research on this topic. If anybody have a program to send an XML file to print (Color printing if possible), please post here or email me at [email protected]
    Any help in this regard is highly appreciated (Dukes Dollars also available).

  • Problem in printing a java swing form

    Hi,
    Could anyone help me on how to set the page margings while I print a java swing form since it is taking a lot of space as margins in the top right top and bottom how do i do that. or is it that java can only print in the printable area or is there any way i can increase the scope of the printable area

    I used PrintRequestAttributeSet and set the margins to 0.5 on all four sides by creating an instance of MediaPrintableArea. By default, the margins on all sides comes up as 1.0 inch. Default paper size is LETTER (8.5 x 11).
    PrintRequestAttributeSet aset = new HashPrintRequestAttributeSet();
    aset.add(new MediaPrintableArea(0.5f,0.5f,7.5f,10.0f,MediaPrintableArea.INCH);
    PrinterJob printJob = PrinterJob.getPrinterJob();
    printJob.setPrintable(component);
    if(printJob.printDialog(aset))
    printJob.print(aset);
    hope it helps.

  • Text Printing in Java

    How can i print characters with different styles in a dotmatrix printer using print api

    Well, getting the text from your JTextField should be rather easy: myJTextField.getText().
    To print it, you'll have to create an Graphics object and draw the text using the drawString method on a Graphics objects: myGraphics.drawString(myText, x, y). You will need to set the right font on the graphics before that (using the setFont() method).
    You can then use this Graphics object to print.

  • Printing in java - text positioning

    Hi there, I need some pointers in the right direction please.
    I need to print a page out to fill in a pre-printed sheet. The data to go onto the sheet is purely numbers, but the pre-printed sheet is not in a table format (the boxes where the data goes are in seemingly random positions.)
    I am currently completing the task by laying out a panel in the way I want it and using the printComponent method, but this obviously isnt the best way to do it as all I need to print out is text.
    How is the best way to go about this? Is it possible to define the position of each line of text?
    Cheers. :)
