Enabling WebDAV access on a workspace

I know how to connect a WebDAV client to a workspace. However, it appears WebDAV access is not always available or enabled. For example, if I create my own test workspace, then add participants, then this workspace does not show up on the WebDAV clients of each participant.
My impression is that I need to explicitly enable WebDAV for all participants of a workspace, but I cannot find a setting in Beehive to do that.

WebDAV access is always available - there is no explicit action required. maybe the client need to do a refresh to see the new workspace but the system should display it if you go to https://beehiveonline.oracle.com/content/dav directly on a web page. If it does not show up then there may be something else going on with the way the users are set up or accessing the system.
Try the web page first and if there is still a problem we can investigate.

If the documents are stored in DMS with Content Server as the repository, you should be able to access them using the DMS connector to KM. This is a business package which, when installed, exposes document stored in DMS to KM as a KM repository. Then you can browse it like any other KM repository. There are a lot of posts in this forum and others about the DMS connector.
You can also try to enable WebDAV if you Content Server is using a MaxDB database.

Where is the Enable RESTful Access List?

I am trying to expose a report in my application as a RESTful web service. I am following this guide here: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23903_01/doc/doc.41/e21674/advnc_web_services.htm#CHDDBGAI
The instructions are:
On the Workspace home page, click Application Builder.
Select an application.
Application Builder appears.
Select the page that contains the report you want to enable.
The Page Definition appears.
Under Regions, click the name of the region that contains the report you want to enable.
Under Attributes, enter a value for Static ID field. This value is used to access the report RESTfully.
From the Enable RESTful Access List, select Yes.
Click Apply Changes.
I am not sure where I can get this "Enable RESTful Access List", it is not in my region attributes or in my page attributes. Could someone kindly point out where I can get it?

That's great you're up and running now. So now you've managed to expose your Report region as a RESTful Service. I think you might find it useful to read through the section Understanding Web Service References in the same chapter - http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23903_01/doc/doc.41/e21674/advnc_web_services.htm#BABDCIBH - as it explains the various references that can be created. In your case, your Web Service reference is based on the RESTful style, and not on a Web Services Description Language (WSDL) document. If you read through the section Accessing a RESTful Enabled Report Region from a Web Service Client - http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23903_01/doc/doc.41/e21674/advnc_web_services.htm#CHDEHFJI - the apex_rest service API can be used to discover available RESTful enabled reports for a given application. Its response is an XML document with a description of all reports that can be accessed by RESTful Web services.

Unable to access applications in workspace,shared services

Hi ,
I am Unable to access applications in workspace and shared services on EPM 11.1.1.3. It happened after normal shutdown/startup scripts were run.
But when I reconfigure the Weblogic web server and run the services again I can access the applications.This is happening frequently now.
Is this anything related to user profiles on the server as we are migrating these to other server.
Can any one help me with this .

Only this partner is having access issues. I tried logging in on his PC and my login works fine. He has tried logging in on other co-worker PC and co-worker can access but he still cannot. Issue is with his login. Also did verify that this partner can use the same login to access support.oracle.com using the same login credentials as mentioned above.

User "[email protected]" does not have access to the workspace "HCM Fusion Training", add user to that workspace. Currently Naga is only part of the workspace "Early_Adopter_Implementer_Training".

Enable anonymous access for Javascript Client Object Model

In SharePoint 2010 it was possible to use the Javascript Client Object Model with anonymous access enabled by removing "GetItems" from the ClientCallableSettings.AnonymousRestrictedTypes.
In SharePoint 2013 however, it seems that an extra security barrier has been implemented. Trying to use the Javascript Client Object Model results in the following message: "Access denied. You do not have permission to perform this action or access this
resource."
After this I went on to do a little research, and it appears that Javascript Client Object Model actually relies on the REST API (please correct me if I'm mistaken), and the REST API also doesn't seem to work as an anonymous user.
So I'm in the dark here. I can't imagine that SharePoint 2013 (so heavily relying on the client object model) can't be used with anonymous access. I've also found very little documentation on anonymous access in combination with SharePoint 2013.
So, how do I enable the Javascript Client Object Model to be used with anonymous access enabled?
P.S. Needless to say, my web application is enabled for anonymous access and so is my site collection.

There are really 4 things you need to do to enable anonymous access:
1. In web application level, enable anonymous.
2. In site collection level, make sure anonymous access Entire Website.
3. In Web level, set Full Permission Masks, till here, you're able to anonymously access REST APIs.

SSRS 2012 rendering issue/Enabling Anonymous access - Upgraded SSRS from SQL 2005 to SQL 2012.

I just recently upgraded SQL 2005 SSRS to SQL 2012 SSRS. Everything is working great other than small issue.
Sounds like some authentication issue. SQL 2005 SSRS - IIS, we enabled anonymous access and we never had this problem. SQL 2012 SSRS /WIN 2008 R2 - I am not sure how to enable anonymous access.
If anyone can help me on this? I really appreciate your help.

According your description, you want to know how the enable anonymous access to SSRS 2012. Right?
In SSRS 2008 or later version, we are not using IIS any more. If we want to configure the authentication, we need to configure in RSReportServer.config. This file locate at:
<drive>:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSRS12.MSSQLSERVER\Reporting Services\ReportServer
However, in SSRS 2012, Anonymous authentication is not supported on report server. Please see:

I set up an Oracle Express database on my local computer.
Now I want to connect to this databsee from a CSharp (or Java) program.

You should be able to log in directly to the service at https://cloud.acrobat.com/exportpdf. (Otherwise, you can access it via the Tools pane in the free Adobe Reader. What happens when you try to use the service. Are you getting errors? Or are you unable to log in?

Can't enable root access in Lion 10.7.2

Hi all,
I have read this Apple article on enabling root in Lion. It doesn't work for me.
I did a fresh install of Lion 10.7.2 to a formatted drive from a USB thumbdrive. I ran Software Update until there were no more updates.
When I open the "Directory Utility", the padlock shows open, and when I click on it, I am not prompted to authenticate, as the article suggests. In the Edit menu, Enable Root User is grayed out.
Any ideas how I do this?

No, you do not. I think you probably just weren't using sudo correctly. Normally, you just do "sudo /path/to/some/executable <program arguments>". If you are a real daredevil, you can just do "sudo bash" and give yourself a root shell.
I actually submitted an enhancement request to Apple to suggest they improve the root user process. Even when it works (and it doesn't half the time in Lion), it is horribly convoluted. I would prefer it if Lion had something like "Run as" in Windows. Apple's response to my enhancement request was "Why don't you just use sudo?". So I tried again to explain it.
Until there are significant enhancements in this area, "sudo" is the way to go.

Settings URL for WebDAV Access

I am not able to create the cFolders Settings URL for WebDAV Access. I have created an external alias "cfolders_webdav" & as per the syntax for URL --->
<Protocol>://<Server>:<Port>/<External Alias settings>, I have created a URL "http://etdspd01.corp.clp.com.hk:8000/cfolders_webdav". However this is not working.
Can someone pl give any clue?

Thank you for your reply once again. I was doing exactly the same thing that you've mentioned (plugging the URL into my browser). Later I realized my folly & created the WebDAV URL into "My Netwrok Places". Nevertheless your reply helped me confirm that what I was going in the right direction.
I sub-question to the above topic. What role does WebDAV play in archiving of documents? How does it help in pushing the cFolders documents to a Document Management system?
I would appreciate your inputs on this as well.

Since i'm going to use sharepoint 2013 how can i configure sharepoint to use both anonymous access and windows authentication at the same time.
I know for sure it can be done but what can be allowed for anonymous access e.g specific list site etc..

In Central Administration, under Application Management., click Manage web applications.
Select the web application you want to enable anonymous access for.
In the Security group on the ribbon, click Authentication Providers.
In the Authentication Providers dialog box, under Zone, click Default.
On the Edit Authentication page, select the Enable anonymous access check box.
Click Save.
Close the Authentication Providers dialog box.

How can I Restrict/enable wifi access on Home Fusion?

Recently (a couple months ago) I changed a setting to prevent my son's Iphone from accessing our Home Fusion WiFi since we kept going over our allotted 10 Gigs, I cannot find where within my account management functions to re-enable his access. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I have looked everywhere and can't seem to find where that option is.

A. You wrote: "I have gotten really tired of Adium and Skype asking for the keychain password every time I reboot the machine..."There are two things to check. You'll use Keychain Access — in the Macintosh HD > Applications > Utilities folder — for both.
One key point to note before you begin: If the affected account was created under Jaguar, it's default keychain will have the same name as the account's short name. Accounts created under Panther or later have the default keychain name of "login." The user's default keychain is always highlighted in bold in the Keychains list in Keychain Access. All of the instructions in Mac Help regarding keychain assume the accounts were created under Tiger and always refer to keychain "login."
Here are the two issues to check and correct:
1. The affected account may have its keychain preferences set so that the keychain locks automatically after a period of inactivity or after sleep mode:1.1. Select the user's default keychain.
1.2. Click Edit > Change Settings for Keychain "keychain_name."
1.3. Deselect the checkbox next to "Lock after __ minutes of inactivity", if selected.
1.4. Deselect the checkbox next to "Lock when sleeping", if selected.
1.5. Click Save.2. The affected account's login password and keychain password are different. Set the keychain password on that account to be the same as the account's login password. See “Mac OS X 10.4 Help: Changing your keychain password.”
Once those steps are taken, if an application requests access to the keychain, click Always Allow.
Note that if you update applications, i.e. install later versions, you may be asked once to confirm the new version's access to your keychain. That's a standard security precaution.
B. You wrote: "...Quicksilver neeing my system password all the time when installing updates."That cannot be prevented if that application is installed in the Macintosh HD > Applications folder using an installer, such as the Mac OS X Installer. Authentication is required if an installer will add or change files in either Applications or other System-related folders.
