Engineer's Interface and Subcontractor's Interface

Does anyone know what "Engineer's Interface" and "Subcontractor's Interface" mean in Primavera P6?
Regards
Hawker

I cannot explain in detail here but bottom line is
Web is not a live database, its parent is client database were planners are working.
Web takes the summarize data from Client.
For example CPI, SPI, Gantt chart, Resource usage.........
It all comes to quality of planning done at client.
Web is a fancy tool that has the power to
Compare projects and portfolios + Plan resources at project level
Have Calculated UDF that shows traffic lights as required by Executives.
However, Project Planning using WEB is slow with less options and flexibility for a planner when compared to Client.
Hope it gives a bit of understanding from where I am coming from.
Cheers.

Hi, I have recently updated my Xperia Z to Lolipop, the user interface is stunning, but unfortunately, the battery drains too fast, the XLoud is removed, the sound of the internal speaker has gone too low, the most annoying thing is that the Quality of the Music App, (Walkman) has degraded to an unacceptable degree, I have Always used Sony products, be it TV or a mobile or Headphones or Camera's.. The Quality of the sound was amazing with the Walkman app and the early versions of kitkat (the time when I bought the phone), I wonder why Sony Upgraded the app to Music, it just degraded the sound Quality. With the Kitkat version of Android, even after the Upgrade to Music app, sound quality was yet acceptable, but now the sound Quality went from bad to worse. Now the Sound Quality of HTC and Samsung Devices are way better and the Old Sony Mp3 player which i have NWZ-B142F has way better sound Quality than what I currently have on my Xperia Z.. Didn't expect this from Sony. I will literally stop Sony Devices if this is not fixed and Post this everywhere (all Social Networking Sites) so that people who have high expectations from Sony do not have any more expectations. I was about to buy Xperia Z3+ but looking at the Quality going down with each upgrade, I don't think I will continue with Sony anymore.
Used to be a proud Sony User, now I am not Owner of 4 Different Sony Ericsson model phones, then Owner of Tipo Dual, Xperia J, Xperia Z, and many more models my family uses, and many more Models of Sony Xperia Devices given as gift to family and friends. Will this issue ever be fixed? Or is that Sony Will Continue to do as Sony wishes? Need and honest answer!! I am ready to be patient but if my expectations not met, I will have to say Bye Bye Sony!

True, none should threaten anyone, neither am I doing so, if you feel that way, I am sorry, but that still does not solve or answer none of my questions or Queries or concerns.. I can use my right! So True! So Sony does not even say thanks for being a good loyal customer since so many years nor does Sony representatives here appreciate or solve anything.. Amazed! • Is a macbook pro advisable for system engineer to work and study with?

im going to study system engineer and i want to buy a new laptop for my career, so ive been thinking in a macbook pro, but i heard that its not advisable because in system engineer you need to download and work with advanced pogramms that cant be downloaded in mac os x.
soo. is it advisable to me?

A MacBook Pro is a fine computer, but it depends on the policy of the school you will be attending. Some schools say, "any computer will work fine" others say, "We use software that only runs on one kind of computer." So you really need to ask your school.
Engineering in general seems to be old-fashioned in the techniques and tools that they use. That they are getting anything new accomplished is sometimes astonishing. You will probably have four semesters of Calculus to learn before they let you do anything really interesting. And during that time, you will have English and History papers to write. Macs are very good for that work as well.
If you will be doing work in another Language as well as English, Macs can switch quickly between them, and surf the web and print in other languages really easily as well.

  • Please help. Engineer came today and has gone....

Seriously p----d off. BT engineer arrives this morning to put in Infinity. I’ve been without Broadband for nearly three weeks as EE shut my account down (long story) but they did make keep my phone line active during this time. Anyway, today, March 6, was supposedly the day BT took over the line and the broadband could also kick-off. For whatever reason, BT gave me a new number which I was told would go active today. Fine. But when the engineer arrives at 8am – guess what – the line isn’t active. Whenever you dial out, it just says “the number isn’t recognised.” Then, to complicate things further, the number BT gave me several weeks ago as my new phone number is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT to the one the engineer reckons is assigned to the line; he’s dialling 17070 and it’s telling us that a totally diff number is there which is neither my previous one or the new one. He leaves. Oh my God. I contact BT. Routed to India. Explain everything to a person there. He goes off and comes back and says it’ll be connected by 1pm today. I’m not confident. I mean, what number will be connected, exactly? I just give up. Anyone know what I should do?

You probably have a "stopped" line at the moment, and the changeover to your new number will take place overnight, within the exchage software.
This is an automatic process which is triggered when the provision task has been completed.

  • Supplier and subcontractor one after another - problem with PR and SchedLines

    Hi,
    We have following business scenario:
We buy material A from supplier 123 and send it directly to subcontractor 456 from which we received processed part B. Due to logistic cost involved in the process, we receive material A directly at subcontractor 456 and not in our facilities. So we have created a normal LPA-type scheduling agreement for material A and supplier 123 and in the "vendor to be supplied/who is to receive delivery" field (EKPO - EMLIF & LBLKZ) we have put our subcontractor 456.
The problem we have is that even though we have correct subsequent requirements for A and we set the source lists correctly and run the MD02 the way it should be done, the MRP creates only purchase requisitions and not the scheduling lines.
Any clues what can be wrong?
    Regards,
    Radek

    Hi Caetano,
Ok it took me some time, because I had to activate MRP Areas (and since it's done on client level and there is no way back from the conversion, I had to ask for a special server for testing).
I followed pretty much the scenario in the document (except SD and EDI part which I don't need) but I got stuck again.
I have created MRP area for 456 subcontractor and I have assigned it to the A material. The thing is that either I don't understand MRP Areas (it's something new for me) or the requirements are not passed correctly. I mean, I run MD02 for B (with "Also plan unchanged components" and "Display material list" and MRP Area on the plant level) and it plans B and creates planned orders for A (on the MRP Area=plant level). So later I run MD02 just for A with MRP Area 456 (the one I have created for subcontractor) but it does nothing - I don't see any requirements from A (plant level) nor from B.
If I force the requirements for A with MRP Area 456 (by setting Safety stock in material master) it does plan for S.A. (just this safety stock - it still ignores what's in A on the plant level).
These are my settings from MRP Views for A:
    On general level
    MRP Type: PD
    Lot Size: EX
    Procurement type: F
    In the 456 MRP Area:
    MRP Type: PD
    Lot Size: EX
Special procurement: 20 (I tried also with special procurment type which they defined in the word document from your link - the one which has U (stock transfer) and plant - but unfortunely the result was the same)
    Safety stock: 2000
Any clues on what might be wrong?

  • Openreach Engineer X5602 rude and a liar!

I just came home to find the engineer at mine. I apologised to him and told him I was told that someone would call me if they needed access to my house. He said that he wasn't given my number and had "rung the job in" so there was nothing he could do now. I did say that I was told my number was on my account, at which point he told me they did give him a number but a digit was missing? He said to call the number on the back of the card he had put through the door and they would send someone out this afternoon. He said he had to rush off to Wythenshawe to another job (I had offered him s brew as I felt bad for him). I went in and they're was a card with no number and add my mum pulled robs the corner on her way home she saw him sat there on a break. Everyone should have a lunch break but that is no reason to lie?!?! So I phoned BT to complain and find out what to do now, and he hasn't even phoned the job in to book an appointment for an engineer to come out to us. Is it just me or is it just plain rude to lie so much?

Not a good tale to hear it could be possible. He has phoned it through to Openreach and has not yet got back to BT

  • Lots of engineer visits/changes and still not fixe...

I have had 3 visits by engineers now and they have done a few things but my broadband is still unstable...
My adsl has been stable for over two years with 2mb+ at all times and about 2 weeks ago this all changed.
Now I see hundreds of thousands of CRC errors on the down (even when I am not using it) at random times of the day. This happens pretty much every 12-24 hours but never at a consistant time of day.
The internet becomes unusable when this starts happening and can take many hours to recover, it does however recover eventually.
The engineers have done this so far:
Replaced my router and put a new filter on
Checked the line many times when they come, no errors
Moved me onto another line, speed improved but errors came back
Moved my equipment over in the exchange
Being an intermittent problem I understand it is hard to find and the engineers have ruled out quite a lot.
I doubt it is anything in my house as there is nothing new going on.
There are no useful stats to show at the moment, as I said all that happens is the CRC errors will start and go up in their thousands per second. I may add that when this starts happening the line speed fluctuats from 800k-2mb down but it is unstable.
All the obvious things my side have been ruled out, many routers tried, many filters, many cables, no difference.
I hope somebody has some clue about this because my internet is pretty useless at the moment and I need it because I work from home sometimes (I am a web developer).
On a side note they said our exchange is going fibre optic early next year, would you know if this would fix the problem or not? I know that the copper wire will still be used and this is most likely the problem.
I am contacting virgin to get cable as we speak because I doubt this problem is going to solved soon, if ever and I need the internet badly.
    Cheers for any advice,
    Mark

Well to be honest, you're on a long line and the attenuation difference, isn't anything of major concern, on a line as long as yours any little variation in temperature or environmental factor can alter the attenuation.
Here are some helpful (I actually did find them helpful!) tips from BT: http://bit.ly/mSl9SB
As standard, the bell wire should be taken out of any master or extension socket as this can reduce the amount of interference your broadband can pick up and sometimes fixes the problem, see how to remove it here http://bit.ly/qc3bZ4
There may also be some other stuff you wanna check out like what affects your broadband inside your home: http://bit.ly/ukwBFb
Also try a tidy up of your cable as per this users (RogerB) post : http://community.bt.com/t5/BB-Speed-Connection-Issues/Poor-Broadband-speed/m-p/14217

  • Productionising ODI code and interfaces

I come from a programming background, and there is one aspect of ODI that is confusing me.
When I do development work on ODI, I usually reverse engineer Hyperion Planning, Hyperion Essbase, and some Oracle views which are all also in Development. I build the interfaces, test them and make sure they all work well.
Now, when it comes to moving these interfaces into production, to me, the logical meaning of that processis that the same interface should be hitting the ORacle views, Hyperion Planning/Essbase on the Production servers. So, my question then is how do I do that.
If I have to reverse engineer the planning and essbase models in Production all over again, and re-build the interfaces, its just duplication of work and a waste of time. I looked in the user guide and admin guide, but neither of them were helpful.
Any gurus out there, your help will go a long way and will be very much appreciated!!
    Thanks

You're not far from where you want to get. If the structures in DEV and PROD are identical, then you don't have to worry about creating models and interfaces in PROD. ODI takes care of this through its layered architecture of Logical and Physical schemas which are linked via Contexts.
    Here are some guidelines...
    In Topology Manager:
    - Create your PROD servers and physical schemas
    - If your Master Repository for PROD is on a different server than for DEV, then create the Logical schemas with the same names that you have in DEV
    - Create a PROD context and assign each logical schema to the corresponding physical schema
    - Set up your PROD Work Repository as an Execution Repository (there is an option when you create the repository
(It is very important that the names are identical in PROD and DEV, the so called CODES are what links Master and Work Repositories)
    In DEV Designer:
    - Generate scenarios from the integration processes you want to migrate
    - Export the scenarios to XML
In PROD Operator (PROD Designer is not available as it is an execution repository which is readonly - except for variables):
    - Import the scenarios
    - Launch the scenarios to test everything is working.
    Hope this helps.

    Matt

  • Quality of service and conflicting engineer report...

Moved into our new house and took up with BT fir broadband and telephone, however after connecting on 12th September, connection was terrible 110kps average, and the first call of many to broadband technical support started. So far the first engineer came out and reported that the line should be 4-5Mb we were getting 300kps. After requesting the line be uncapped and reset I waited fir 48hrs no change to the speed I called again, thisvtime they said the line had been uncapped butbwhy was I still getting such appauling speeds and why dudbthe engineer say I could get 4Mb???? They arranged to send out a further engineer, the engineer never showed up the day he was meant to arrive I received a call to say that an engineer had not been booked! I rearranged a further multitasking engineer who could to the exchange as well. Another passed then the engineer came and did exactly the same as the first one he didn't go to the exchange another waste if time! Speeds had increased but no where near 4Mb.......1000 kps was the average. More calls and a further engineer visit who did a number of faceplate changes tested the line again and niwcsaid 5000 kps was the speed I should get, but I was lucky to get 1000 kps and I was doing the test with him there! He said he would go to the exchange but needed to request an upgrade which he said avrack engineer would have to come out and do bu he would try I asked if he would come back and tell me the outcome didn't come back! I calked BT again and was told some things had been dine and the line would stabilise by 30th today I have seen NO speed increase and again I call again this afternoon and now get told there's no more they can do!!!!! What???? The problem s in the exchange your engineer told me, I just want this resolving and told them that I am now awaiting a call tomorrow morning from technical support in the uk, I'm not holding my breath but feel that BT is letting me down and not providing a level of service! Broadband should be for a property less than 2 miles from an exchange more than 2000 kps don't you think.....that's all I want to be able to stream iplsyer!!!! I mean 5000kps would be lovely but I'm not greedy. Can somebody just do what you promise!!!!

  • Confused over Activation Date and Engineer Visit D...

Placed an order for the full lot, phone, internet, TV. This is for a new development, with "BT lines pre-installed" (but not activated).
I will recieve the equipment tommorow and the (estimated) activated is also tommorow, however I have just come to realised the scheduled engineer visit is not tommorow but the day after (Monday), this was moved/changed without notifying me.
I gave BT a call, the kind gentleman on the phone suggested to me because it is a new development, chances of work needing to be carried out inside or anywhere within my property is extremely slim, maybe just to test. I agree here as it seems my neighbours all have working phone lines very quick with minimal hassle.
For fun, I decided to give my own phone number a ring. It connects fine, but because there's no dial tone my phone didn't ring on the line; I assume the activation hasn't been carried out yet.
So my query here is the activation carried out elsewhere or by another team, while the engineer just comes and checks if everything is ok? Best case scenario is that I recieve my equipment tommorow, mainly the phone/router and my phone and internet works when I whack it in, I could care less for the TV right now.
Just to reiterate this is a new development/block of flats and the developers have done everything to make it as easy as possible, as initially they said "just give BT a call and they will activate it for you". I haven't questioned my neighbours yet on how they got their's so fast yet as due to my awkward working hours I can't easily get hold of them without disturbance.

    Hi there,
The activation is usually done automatically (may take upto midnight on the day of activation) and then the engineer who will run tests on the line to check that it is stable will make sure it is in running order.
    Hope this helps.

  • Reverse engineer error with Hyperion Essbase and Planning

We are getting the following error in ODI Operator (3rd step) when trying to reverse-engineer Hyperion Essbase and Planning models. com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException: Cannot invoke a rollback operation when the AutoCommit mode is set to "true".
Our ODI repository resides in SQL Server.. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

    Hi Dmitriy,
You should upgrade to the latest patch of ODI available on metalink.oracle.com 10.1.3.4.4.
There was an issue in 10.1.3.4 ODI with the intial reverse when using SQL server. If you shutdown all the ODI UI's and then restart. And then reverse it should work correctly. But you have to make sure you shut down all ODI tools.
    Thanks,
    Denis

  • Engineer does not turn up and lies about it.

I called BT at 4:42. Operator told me an engineer would come before 6pm. I asked if the engineer was definitely coming, the operator replied that yes, he definitely was coming by 6:00.
At 5:58, the engineer had still not arrived, so I phoned again. I stated that no engineer had arrived. I was then put on hold while the order was checked. When the operator came back on the line, I was transferred to the Infinity Team.
The Infinity Team operator introduced himself then put me on hold while he checked what was happening to the order.
At 6:14 he came back told me he was checking with the engineer and put me back on hold.
At 6:18, the operator asked me whether I was calling from the landline or mobile. I replied landline and he said he would call me back. As I had not heard anything from anyone at BT despite there being a problem, I asked to remain on hold while he sorted out what was going on. I had little confidence in receiving a call back.
At 6:38 I was told the operator was speaking to engineers.
At 6:44 the line went dead.
At 6:45 the operator called back, apologised and told me he was speaking to the engineers. I was put on hold again.
At 6:59 the operator said the engineer called at 1:30 pm and waited half an hour. I was then asked the colour of my door. It is glass and white – was then told that is what the engineer said. I asked what floor did he call at?
At 7:12, the line went dead. The operator did not call back.
I live in a small maisonette – it is impossible for the engineer knocking not to be heard. Totally impossible. The engineer is lying. BT and the engineer have both my mobile and home number. No calling card was left and no one called and no one knocked the door. Furthermore, no one mentioned a failed engineer visit during my first call when I was still being assured the engineer was on his way.
It is poor enough, an engineer just not showing up, but the subsequent lie and just getting cut off is unacceptable.

OMG the same thing has just happened to me.
I was assigned a slot from 8am to 1pm for an engineer to arrive.  At 13:20pm when noone had arrived I called BT.  I was transferred on the call a number of times having to go through the whole story with several people and was then cut off.  I had to call a number of times before I was able to get through to someone who could help.  I was then kept on hold for a very long time while the person contacted the engineering department.
I was told that if I waited for a further hour someone would be with me.  At about 2:30pm I then called BT again when noone had turned up.  I made the call from my home office and was looking out on the street infront of my house while i was on the phone.  I was on the phone with BT till after 3pm and never once did I see any BT vehicle or engineer on the street.  I was then told that the engineer had visited my home at 2:30pm and had tried to contact me on my mobile but noone was in!  So as it turns out I was on the phone to BT from my personal landline number looking out onto my front door at the same time as the engineer had visited and determined that I was not in!!!  I cannot believe it!  I actually will have proof of this from my phone records as well!  The engineer apparently also rang my mobile which was on my desk next to me while I was on the landline with BT!!
I must say that being treated like this has left me with very little trust in BT - and this is before I even have the phone installed!!!  I now have to wait to the 29th Jul for this all to happen again!!!

  • NI-1744 Smart Cameras go offline using Vision Builder AI and LV2010?

I've run into a perplexing and frustrating problem.
I have a set of 6 NI-1744 smart cameras used to monitor sample motion in an automated system
A central robot moves samples between 6 satellite chambers; there is a camera mounted above the entrance to each of the satellites; the sample carriers are drilled with up to 10 holes encoding their numbers in binary (0-1023). There is also an L-shaped registration mark drilled near the region for the number encoding. Matters are complicated somewhat in that the second generation of carriers has a slightly more complicated registration mark (which includes the simple L of the first generation).
What I would like to accomplish is this:
Most of the time, I just want to be able to see what's under each camera, illuminating from above using a ring light attached to the camera. Call that Inspection A.
I may need to capture an image without the ring light. Call that Inspection B
When a sample transfer is occurring, I need to run a more complicated inspection (Inspection C):
A light is turned on underneath the end of the sample transfer arm (the "fork"), backlighting the region where the hole pattern would be if a carrier is in fact present.
Acquire an image of the fork with the backlight on.
Check to see if the image shows the fork to be empty. If so, return that information and the inspection is complete.
If not, look for the (backlit) registration mark and establish a coordinate system for the holes. Look to see which holes are present, calculate the sample number, return the data and the inspection is complete
If not, look for the 2nd gen registration mark. If it is found, establish the coordinates as in step 4, calculate the number, return the data and complete.
If none of the registration patterns are found, turn on the ring light, capture an image and return it so the operator can intervene and enter the appropriate data.
I have successfully built the inspection, and it appears to work in the Vision Builder configuration interface, or if run from the Vision Builder inspection interface. If I attempt to *use* the inspection, accessing it via the VBAI interface in Labview, one or more of the cameras will hang after one or more inspections and stops responding to LabVIEW. It will take multiple reboots to get it back on line and visible to either VB or Labview.
Originally, I had thought to configure the camera to run inspections continously and select inspection A, B, or C based on a variable I could access using the Labview Shared Variable Engine.  Every time I tried that the camera in question would hang. My current sort-of-successful software uses the VBAI functions in LabVIEW to open Inspection A, B, or C on the camera, run that inspection a single time and return the results and inspection image. That still ends up with one or more cameras hanging, especially if I've added the case to handle the more complicated registration mark.
I think I may be running out of memory in the camera. I have occasionally received an out of memory error message when running the inspection in debug (step) mode in the VB configuration interface, at which point the camera will disconnect from the VB interface. When I look at the system monitor tab for a camera in MAX, I can see that it is showing me 11.5M free/124M total memory, and 72.3Mfree/118M total disk space. If I understand those numbers, that means that less than 10% of the memory is free when the inspection starts!
I'm only communicating with the cameras via the ethernet interface. Are there any software components I don't need to have installed on the 1744 (MAX lists about 12 different things installed!) in that case?
Alternatively, it appears there are VBAI functions available that might let me acquire an image and then process it via a local copy of Vision Builder running on the host PC, rather than in the camera. Is that so, and if so, would it be faster than running the inspection in the camera?
I've attached a zipfile with the inspection that appears to stall the camera, and samples of typical images captured of the empty fork and a sample holder.

The good news: thanks to some offline assistance from Brad, my cameras are no longer crashing.
The bad news: my labview VI using VBAI functions still fails for one or more cameras after a while (typically >12 hours of monitoring).
It's very odd: the cameras are still visible online.
    I can ping them.
I can connect to them via VBAI, run inspections that way (either in configuration mode or inspection mode), and disconnect successfully.
My calling VI, however insists that it can't connect (usually with a -354700 error from VBAI Connect.vi, occasionally with a -354705).
I am using shift registers in the monitor loop of the main VI so that I can pass the VBAI session reference for each camera back to the subvis that actually load and run the desired inspection once a connection has been made. After an indeterminate time, one or more of those appears to go bad, but if I attempt to reset and connect to the camera again (I did include a control to let me close and reconnect if necessary from the monitor loop), I still get the above errors.
The only way to get them back online within LabVIEW this morning proved to be to stop the main VI and reset all the controls to default, reboot the cameras, and then restart the VI. At that point it was able to connect to all 6 again and has been running happily for over 8 hours.
I set up the persistent sessions using the shift registers because I have observed in the past continually opening and closing resources like that can lead to memory problems. It also dramatically reduced my cycle time when all I want to do is get the latest images from the cameras to under 2 seconds.
Any ideas? Is there some subtlety to disconnecting/reconnecting to the VB in the cameras via Labview that I'm missing?
I am working on a slightly smarter version of the inspection that can be allowed to run continously in a camera and simply return the appropriate result when asked, rather than having to start and stop different inspections as I do now, but that is not ready for deployment yet. It's the symptom of running just fine for X hours and then losing one or more cameras that is baffling me right now.

  • ARD 3.7 and VoiceOver

    Hi all.
OK here's my background. I'm a blind IT engineer / tech admin and support a list supporting blind mac users. My server is a 2010 customised mbp 2.66 i7 with 8gb ram and 2x 512gb SSD drives (drive 2 replaces superdrive bay)
I'm now using Mavericks with Server 3, Deploy Studio and ARD 3.7
    Here's the problem.
For me to work with a blind client's mac relying on voiceover, I cannot grab system audio from the client, nor can I use Voiceover keys, etc to control the client's mac to conduct training, repairs and management.
I was hoping that ARD 3.7 would cover my needs but it isn't. the only use it can prove useful for is catalogueing networked systems, setting up routines that don't require direct UI interaction, etc. this is a real disappointment for me.
I've emailed apple accessibility and sent a bug report to apple feedback. heard nothing.
I have road tested and researched various products besides ARD 3.7 and either companies want yearly subscriptions  which in some cases require pro licenses to be purchased. in one particular developer's pack you have to purchase the pro app and central to administer client management, reports, etc. without that, the features needed including full keyboard control and audio interfacing make my work extremely difficult.
in cases where I'm supporting a user who is blind / visually impaired and also has learning difficulties, instructions and detailed settings are of no use because the client cannot fully understand the processes involved, in cases where voiceover isn't playing ball for the client, I could step in to resolve the issue, use terminal within their system, conduct in-depth repairs, set up policies, etc.
If there's any apple Admins here, apple developers reading this forum, please can you integrate voiceover support to client level as well as audio support? there are many blind It techs, developers, engineers, admins, tutors and trainers across the world and this product would make a change. After all, we blind mac users represent apple marketing your products in a way that changes other peoples lives for the better. Any support on this would be much appreciated.

Not sure how that would happen but you should be able to revert to the Mac App Store version with the following steps:
    1. Launch the App Store app
    2. Go to the Purchases secton and verify that Apple Remote Desktop is showing in your list
    3. Assuming it's in your list, delete Remote Desktop.app from /Applications
    4. Verify that Remote Desktop.app is not installed on any other mounted volumes using Spotlight
    5. If it is installed then either unmount those volumes or delete the app from those other locations
    6. Go back to the Purchases section of the App Store app
    7. If Apple Remote Desktop is shown as "Installed" then select "Reload Page" from the "Store" menu
    8. The entry for Apple Remote Desktop should now give you the option to "Install"
    9. Click "Install"
After installation you should have the correct Mac App Store version that does not prompt for a serial number.
