Enter chapter id for material during MIGO.But i have maintained chapter id and material combination in J1ID and also Excise duty
rates but when i enter excise invoice no in header only for one particular item chapter id is missing and some times chapter id is coming but AED, BED and SED (duties) are not being calculated.
    Please do needful ASAP.
    Thanks,

    Hi
    1) Check your chapter ID for supplying Plant It should be same as receiving plant in J1ID
    2) I think at the time of outgoing excise invoice you have  not maintain chapter Id for material of supplying plant  ,later you maintain at time of MIGo thats why error is coming even you have maintain chapter Id in J1ID now
    3) check your outgoing excise invoice document in table J_1IEXCHDR in t-code se16n

  • Help on GOA screen control at line item for only material

    Hello All
    scenario:-
    1. create a GOA
for a material with has alternative UOM ( CAR - ORDER UNIT ; 1 CAR - 34 ea) . So i created GOA FOR MATERILA LINE ITEM.
    FOR CAR .
    2. I released GOA and distributed GOA for CAR as Oeder Unit UOM.
    3. now my buyer  go to GOA and change UOM as EA and price I AND CHANGE THE PRICE IN THE SAME  LINE  ITEM.
    4. No PO released against the COntract in the ECC
    5. Unfortunately buyer could change this UOM from CAR to EA. now GOA shows as EA in the line item
    6. this info taken to ECC via IDOC but this info  never updated in ECC contract.
    7. my PO release as CAR forever rather than EA since my ECC contract always shows  as CAR
i can lock this item i can create  a new line item, no issues.
how buyer knows each time ? if the system allows buyer always try to change rather than entering new item. it is not buyer fault. it is srm fault.
Now ican u suggest some code in ui control badi , if the PO not releases system should not allow to change  the UOM in the GOA line item for a material.
PS:- once PO released against contract  . srm will not allow to change the UOM . that is fine.
SAP has to correct this problem and release the note.
    Muthu

    Hi Donald/SCot/ kiran/ jay...
are you having the same problem in SRM 700. front end validation is required here toooooo...
    please help me.
I could not accept this functionality ..
why SRM allows to change the UOM by the buyer after  release the GOA for the same line item
if srm allows to do edit, SAP SRM and ECC has to update the same UOM in the existing purchasing contract. IDOCs carry all new uom but why not updated in ECC purchasing contract.
decided to write own logic in ui badi to protect this. what to do

  • Cenvat to add on material during STO

    Dear experts,
How we can load the cenvat cost on material during stock transfer from plant to plant within company code with shipping?
    Manoj

    Hi,
    1. Create Z-Pricing condition for BED, ECS and SECess in M/06 and keep following controls active;
Cond. class A Discount or surcharge
    Calculat.type A/B Percentage/Fixed amount (As per reqmt.)
    Cond.category B Delivery costs
    Plus/minus A Positive
    Item Condition Active
    Accrual Active
Vendor in GR 2 Entry always possible
    2. Attach these condition types in STO Pricing Procedure in M/08 (SAP Std. Pricing is RM2000). Also assign an Accrual key to this condition
    3. 3. You can create a new Accrual key in SPRO > MM > Purchasing > Conditions > Define Price Determination Process > Define Transaction/Event Keys
    4. OBYC - Assign a Clearing A/c to the new Accrual Key
    5. In ME21N - STO, maintain value for BED, ECS and SECess Conditions. Also assign the vendor in "details" option of this condition if reqrd.
    6. VL10B - Outbound delivery w.r.t. STO (Mvmt 641)
    Accounting Entry:
    Stock A/c - Dr - 117 (In Receiving Plant)
    Stock A/c - Cr - 100 (In Supplying Plant)
BED Clearing A/c - Cr - 14 (In Supplying Plant)
ECS Clearing A/c - Cr - 2 (In Supplying Plant)
SECess Clearing A/c - Cr - 1 (In Supplying Plant)
    7. VF01 - Pro-forma Invoice w.r.t. Outbound Delivery
    8. J1IIN - Outgoing Excise Invoice w.r.t Pro-forma Invoice
    9. MIGO - GR in receiving plant (No A/c entry), In "Excise Invoice" Tab, select "No Excise Entry"
    10. MIRO - LIV for "Planned delivery cost" w.r.t. STO if reqrd.

  • Procurement of non stock items without using material master?

    Hi Experts
My company follows third party scenerio with non stock items . The procurement process starts from creating a PR thru network by entering a material master and other purchasing information in component overview. I have come to know from some sources that in case of non stock items we may process the same  by not using the material master and just entering a material description and other purchase related information. So, my questions is:
Is it possible to follow the procurement process for non stock items without using material master? And if it is Yes, then how will i maintain the tax coditions which i generally do for material and vendor combinations.
    Thanks

    Hi Chandra,
It is mostly used in projects where you are directly procuring materials for projects and no need to track the inventory.
But i think it is better to create to material Master and use that Material with item cat L so that at any point of time we can track inventory .

  • Difference between Item Proposal and Material Determination

    Hi
What is the difference between the item proposal and material determination product proposal?
    Thanks
    KM

    Hi
Item proposal and product proposal are the same.
Item proposal is the list of materials and order quantities that can be copied into the sales order from the customer master data.
We use VA51 to create the item proposal. Here we get a number. This number is then linked to the customer master data in the sales view. This is very commonly used.
Material determination is very closely related to item proposal /product proposal  and is used to swap one material for another in the sales order using the condition technique. I have not seen Material  determination procedures used in the projects I have worked.
    Item Proposal or Product proposal:
Item proposal is same as product proposal & SAP uses the two terms interchangeably.
An item proposal is a list of materials and order quantities that can be copied into the sales order.  Items can also be selected from a list and copied into a sales order.
    1) Use transaction [VOV8] to configure the document type ("MS" for product proposal).
    2) Use transaction [VA51] to create a proposal.
    3) Enter the item proposal on the sales area data (sales tab) of the customer master record.
    4) In [VA01] to create a sales order, Select Edit & propose items."
    Material determination:
"Material determination uses the condition technique to swap one material for another when certain conditions apply. Material
determination is triggered by the material entered in the line item of the sales order.
Use transaction [VB11] to create a material determination condition record.  And [OV12] for configuration of material determination.
Material determination is useful when old product is becoming obsolete or a new product is released by the company at specific date."
    Thanks

  • Batch Traceability for Sugar as raw material during the production process

    Dear Colleague ,
I need your support for a traceability issue in a customer on beverage sector
    See the case below:
Batch Traceability for Sugar as raw material during the production process
In AMSB the batch traceability in some production processes is very difficult, especially in case of sugar where tanks wherein more than one batches of the same material can be mixed. For example, in a single day almost 17-20 batches of the same material can be mixed and as the result is a composition of water and sugar the normal FIFO rule strategy cannot be applied during the component consumption.
The raw material (sugar) is received in tank S5 at different points of time, and its content is transferred to tank B1 for storage purposes as well as for mix the sugar with other material such as water.
At a specific moment the S5 tank contains only a single batch, while the tank B1 contains more than one batch. Tank B1 is used in order to supply the production line and the corresponding material consumption is triggered in backflush as soon as the production activity is declared (production confirmation). Along with the material consumption the batch determination takes place and a complex algorithm is applied: at a very high level, the single batch is consumed depending on its percentage inside the mix of composition and in case the this
percentage is under a threshold level the current batch should be full used in order to avoid that it will exist for ever.
Moreover, the good movement reversal (reversal of material consumption) and its correction lead to a complete new calculation of all the batches consumed after the original movement date/time. This means that the algorithm for batch determination should be reapplied for all the consumptions subsequent to the original movement.
On the other hand it’s not possible to identify the mix of batches at the exit point of silos B1 because the total consumption of the material in the tank will never happen. As long as the tank level decreases it will be filled up from the tank used for receiving of sugar (S5).
As requirement AMSB needs to post the material consumption starting from EWM, this means that EWM should be the master system in this case and the correspondingmovements have to be  transferred to ECC afterwards. This mainly because EWM  should guarantee the business continuity in case the ERP system is not available.
AMSB asked if the scenario depicted has been implemented in some customer, in EWM system or in any other SAP solution.

    Hi ,
At the time of consumption you can put ' * ' aestrix sign in the batch field.
You will get list of batches of that material.select ur batch and consume the quantity.

    Piyush

  • Link b/w item category and material group

    Hi All,
Is there any link between item category and material group.
    Regards
    Pavan

    Hi Pavan,
    Item Category
Item Category is a control field that allows the PR to follow the correct path for the correct path for that category of PR. The SAP system is delivered with a set of item categories
    Blank -Standard
    K- Consignment
    L- Sub Contracting
    S- Third Party
    D- Service
    U- Stock Transfer
Selecting an item category allow the display of certain fields and not others
For Ex: If PR item has an item category K for conignment then invoice receipts will not be allowed
    Material Group
Material group is a method of grouping of similar materials. It is defined either by using classification or by configuration. It is important not only for seracing the materials but also in other areas of purchasing
A purchace inforecord can be created with out a material number but must require materail group and vendor
Material group is configured through Tcode WG21
And i do not find any link between them
I hope this gave you the clarity
In case of any more information required do get back
    If found helpful reward accordingly
    Thanks & Regards

  • Edits will not be saved. Any Edits made to the enterprise global template items are only available during this session.

    Hi,
I am getting a pop-up message(Edits will not be saved. Any Edits made to the enterprise global template items are only available during this session.Make edits in checked-out enterprise global template to make them
available for all users of this project server) when trying to insert a new column in the Gannt Chart View.
Due to this what all are the columns that inserted in the project plan, will be lost when open the project in the next time.
I have opened the Enterprise Global Template and cross checked for Gaant Chart view it is showing the table as "Entry" only.
The requirement is what all columns are required for the project plan, manager will insert in the project first time. Next time on-wards it needs to be display the columns when opened the project from server by default.
We are unable to reproduce this issue in our Dev Envt.
Could anyone of you please help me.
    Thanks in Advance!
    Regards,
    Venkat

    Hi Venkat,
I suggest to remove Gantt Chart view and Entry table from Eglobal. These are default views from client and it is highly recommended to not use them in Enterprise Global.
Whatever a user ist doing on a view or table which is included in Enterprise Global will be reset on next open - therefore you receive this message.
If you need some server wide defined views and tables, create them. But remove Gantt Chart and Entry.
    Does that help?

  • FRM-40106...no enterable items...

I have a data-block which contains information that will not be updated on this particular form. So, I have disabled all elements, so as not to allow updates. However, when I run the form I recieve the error FRM-40106: No navigable items in destination block. Is there a way to have a data-block that is simply for informational purposes, and not updateable? I looked at the help text associated with the error:
Cause: Runtime error. A GO_BLOCK statement references a block with no enterable items.
Action: Remove the statement or make at least one item in the block enterable.
Where is the GO_BLOCK statement? I know I can make one item in the block enterable, but I really don't want to do that.
    Thanks.

    Hi Richard,
What you can try is the following,
when you open your form add QUERY_ONLY as a parameter in your OPEN_FORM or CALL_FORM statement. In that case, you can only perform queries in your form.
Or another good option is to set the update, delete and insert properties at block-level to no.
I recommend that you use a visual_attribute to let the users see that they can only perform queries.
End-users who I worked with do not like the diabled item, because all of the fields are greyed out.
    Hope this helps!
