Entering Cosr Center in Already Posted Document

Hi Guru
I have posted one FI Document and in which GL account was not created as a cost element so Cost Center is not asked at the time of posting.
Later GL account is created as a cost element.
Now the porblem is how to update Cost Center in Posted document.If I try to change document (FB02), cost center field is greyed out.And if I reverse the document then it is asking for Cost Center becoz now it is created as a  cost element.
Kindly suggest how to update Cost center in this Document.

This process is described in the SAP Note # 98520: I have copied below for your reference. Use OKBA to
create a follow on document into CO from FI, however firstly maintain the account assignment as instructed.
You create a G/L account (P+L account) in Financial Accounting without creating the corresponding primary cost element in CO (Transaction KA01). You made a posting to the G/L account in FI. You did not enter CO auxiliary account assignments (cost center, order,...). Later you created the cost element in CO. To clear the difference between FI and CO, you want to subsequently post FI document to CO (Transaction OKBA). However, this is not possible since the document does not contain any CO account assignments (error message KI235 "Account & requires an assignment to a CO object").
A change to the document in FI is not possible since the fields of the coding block cannot be changed using Transaction FB02.

Without CO account assignment, FI document cannot be posted into CO. Hence proceed as follows before you make the subsequent posting:
Store default account assignment for cost element (cost center or order) in CO (Transaction OKB9). Use a dummy cost center if there is no other solution.
or
Fill CO account assignment via substitution when posting (maintain substitution with Transaction OKC9)
Post FI document subsequently to CO using Transaction OKBA (program RGUREC10). In CO, you may transfer the amounts completely or partially (Transaction KB11 or KB61).
If FI documents have already been partially posted in CO, the system generates error message "Document already exists" when you post documents subsequently using Transaction OKBA. In this case, you can delete the CO documents using report RKACOR20 and carry out subsequent posting afterwards. For more information, read Note 45122.

    Hi,
    It is not possile to change the posting period in a posted document, alternatively you can park the document form the external system and it can be posted in SAP after review by the user.

    We implemented Business Area 0n 1/7/2011, in our company code 2 Business area is present.
    Starting from 1/7/2011 to till date (apart from tax line item) all the transactions are recorded BA wise
    We have not updated document splitting
    our ABAP consultant executed program ZFUIT_BA_Document but it is showing error for some GL accounts
    Error is BL0001 for that detailed description is not showing
    in other documents blank BA is updated BA wise.
    Now I need to update the Business area for posted documents so that I can get BA wise P&L and Balance sheet.
    Please tell me how to update for other documents.

    It is not possible to enter/change profit center in an already posted document.
    Hence you may have to rectify it by posting a Journal voucher in FB01 or directly in PCA using T.code 9KE0.

    It is not possible to change profit center, for that matter any other CO assignment cannot be changed. You can try transfering to correct profit center through 9ke0

  • Payment Method Supplement Check Deactivation in F110 for already posted doc

    Hi,
    Is there a way to Payment Method Supplement Check Deactivation in F110 for already posted documents.
    The background: Some invoices are posted for a vendor when there is a pmt supplmnt method "L-large". Subsequently payment method supplement in vendor master was changed to 'S'. There is debit note posted with pmt method supp 'S' in document. Now while doing F110 system is splitting up the payments based on pmt method supplmt and theline item with debit balance is going in error because of debit balance. As a result the debit balance is not getting knocked off with the credit balance line item.
    Request you to help us in finding out if there is any way to generate onlyone line item in F110. Please rule out the option of changing the pmt supplmt at document level.

    If you are not changing the payment supplement in the document, F110 itself will not allow you to change that. You can possibly deactivate the Payment method temporarily in customizing, run the F110 with only the affected vendors. and activate back the payment method supplement in customizing. You can activate this under APP customizing (FBZP) "All company codes" under the control data section

    how can I make this field KKBER changeable in an already posted document?
    I have made settings in OB38 that it can be overwritten during document entry and that is working fine.
    Additonally, I have added the field BSEG-KKBER in document change rules on line item level in TBAER. However, the field is greyed out.

    As I have a couple of hundred documents posted during a migration some month ago reversing is no option.
    Aren't there any options to do so?
    I also tried to follow the OSS notes and they talk about modifgroup 3 fields not being changeable ( Such a field is defined only as an output field and does not have a value in the modification group 3.)
    Where can I access that group for KKBER.

  • Profit Center to be populated in documents already posted

    Hi,
    I work for a retail client. There is a store that went live about a week back. There is a validation applied, which updates a profit center to the tender GL accounts (differnet kinds of revenue - like cash/credit card/debit card/sodexho etc) .
    As the validation was missed to be transported - profit center is not to be found in tender documents. Is there a way out that I get the profit center updated to the tender documents that have been posted until now. In other words update of profit center in the documents already posted.

    Profit center never gets updated in Table BSIK and BSAK ...You will never get it in FBL1N..Please use KE5Z or S_ALR_87013346 or S_ACO_52000888 Payables - Profit center as an alternate ..
    As you must be aware that profit Center information is never entered in Vendor in line item. It is only entered in the expense/income line items...You will always find this field blank in BSIK ...BSIK and BSAK segmentation table is BSEG , PRCTR is there hence it can be set in O7R3 as a special field to be displayed in ledger but it will not show values. I hope it clears you.

    Hello,
    All PS_PSP_PNR fields, as COBL-PS_POSID are dependent on the
    project settlement. By posting a document you can enter the fields
    independent of the fact, whether the project settlement is active or
    not. Only the field status is crucial. As soon as such a document is
    changed, the activity of the project settlement is relevant.
    If it's active, these fields must not be changed in general.
    Otherwise you would get a inconsistency between FI and CO, because
    there is no interface updating the project settlement tables
    In this case TBAER (transaction OB32) does not play a role anyway.
    But if the project settlement is not active, the fields can be filled
    informatively by posting the document. And thus there must be a
    chance in FB02 to change them again. Therefore the settings of TBAER
    are crucial and TCOBX must not be changed like in note 966428.
    Furthermore the entries of TCOBX are used in the coding for different
    queries. So it would be very critical to change these entries.
    The only solution can be, that you adapt TBAER accordingly. In the
    standard it is not possible.

  • Possible to clear vendor open item against already posted payment document?

    Hi
    Can you advise if it is possible to clear an open item against already posted payment/clearing doc? Here is the background to the scenario:
    An invoice was posted with transaction FB60. This was subsequently picked up in the payment run F110 and cleared by payment document number 200005678. The item went to the bank on the paymnet file and was paid out to the vendor. The transaction reference, which appeared on the incoming bank statemnet was the payment document number 200005678.
    Subsequently it was discovered that the original invoice should have been posted with reference to a PO using MIRO. The requirement now is to reverse the paymnet documnet 200005678 in SAP, then reverse the document that was posted using FB60. After this the invoice will be posted using MIRO. This will create an open item on the vendor account.
    This item will not be piad out again. Therefore the requirement is to try clear that open item against the previously posted payment document 200005678.
    Is there any way to clear this vendor open item against the originally posted payment document 200005678?? Or any other advice on how this scenario can be handled in SAP?

    Hi,
    I tried that option in our test system. I ran FBRA and entered Paymnet Documnet Number (+Clearing Doc Number), Company Code, Fiscal Year.
    Then chose menu option Clearing -> Reset Cleared Items.
    The system pops up a window asking for a reversal reason and reversal date.  I use 01 and posting date of today.
    The system now posts another cleared document. That document places the invoice as an open item on the vendor account. It does not place the Payment Document as an open item on the account.
    When I go to F-44 only the open vendor invoice is showing there. There is no open paymnet document.
    Is there perhaps some configuration setting that stops the placement of the paymnet document as an open item when reset?

    There is a long story about profit center accounting. I assume you are using Classic PCA, this means you can see the PCA documents.  And the solutions is below:
         For P/L account, even you don't maintain cost element for it, if you maintain the profit center in the application (Frontend transaction), then PCA line items will be generated for this account.
        For B/S account,  if you maintain the default Profit Center with transaction 3KEH/3KEI, the PCA line items will generated for this account also.
      Hints, don't maintain default profit center for AR/AP accounts, these accounts to be treated in periodic processing.
      First, calculate the distribution/adjust by F.5D, then transfer it by 1KEK. for others account rather than AR/AP, use F.5E
    For you case, if this account is P/L account, but you don't maintain profit center in the transaction, you can maintain default profit center as B/S account in 3KEH and 3KEI, then transfer it subsequently by transaction 1KE8.

    i have created an landed cost against an GRPO and added my other costs against the GRPO, and then i have made an A/P invoice against the document, now my GRPO has been closed and the payment to the party has been done.
    Later to add some cost against the landed cost, i am trying to use the landed cost option under copy from button by selecting the same vendor. but the earlier landed cost entry is not available for selection.
