What is difference between MIRO and FB60 Tcodes, as both seems to be used for entering incoming invoice.

Hi,
MIRO used to post Invoice Verification w.r.t. to Delivery document, PO Reference, Vendor so on. Using this transaction code GR/IR account will be knocked off as well as PO History will be updated.
FB60 used to post directly. (for example direct expenses to be booked by FI guys)

In MIRO transaction (enter incoming invoice) system brings used positions (items) as available. It shouldn't work like that. Enclosed you can find a print screen from MIRO transaction. Both items in this order have already been used but still it lets user to post invoice against them.

Make "Reference number" mandatory in 'Required during document entry segment' in "RE" document type in OBA7 t.code & save.
Set Error message for messages M8-471,M8-108 & M8-462 in t.code: OMRM & save
So when you do MIRO , you need to enter VENDOR INVOICE NUMBER in Reference number field in MIRO & post document and further more same VENDOR INVOICE NUMBER you can not used in MIRO t.code again, if you do so, system will show error message.

While posting the Incoming Invoice using MIRO tran. - credit memo, After Entering the GL Account
Layout of Business Area , Cost Center, Partner Business area , and order field indicator shows all
tick mark, ( correct sign) ,
continuos message come fill in all required entry field.
but when I using other User ID Entering the Incoming Invoice happened.
Please reply me How to correct the same. Which Auth.shall I remove.

MIRO ->Inv. date >Reference>Calculate Tax ( check box select) > Business place>text>PO ref>
--> select Delivery Note --> Select G/L Account -->
in this menu after select the G/l account --> Business area --> Cost Center --> Order ( This fielld
automatically Mandatory tick comes ) only in one SAP login.
So please tell me now How to remove this Mandatory tick to aboe field.
While on my other SAP user this field are not comes in Mandatory. so Invoice post successfully.

Error when entering incoming invoice in MIRO
Hello gurus,
we are trying to enter invoice in MIRO with PO reference for planned delivery costs. After I enter the PO number, I have the item downloaded with certain amount, To balance the document I enter in G/L accounts tab account the account number 1243300020, add the amount and tax and once I do this and want to simulate, I get the error:
Account 2454100030 EC10 is blocked for posting
which I do not get, as the account 2454100030 has not been entered anywhere...is there any assignemt for tax amouts or something?

Use transaction FS00, enter GL 2454100030 account and click on Lock icon and unblock the same....if you want to check where this GL 2454100030 has been assigned then check table T030 and T030K in transaction SE16.

Enter / Park Incoming Invoice before GR

The requirement is to be able to enter line items and park the incoming invoice (via EDI / MIRO / MIR7) before GR is done.
The PO has the GR based IV tick checked and removing it is not an option.
Please suggest possible options to enter the invoice lines so that the invoice can be parked.

Can anyone tell me where I should look to resolve this issue? I'm trying to post an EDI incoming invoice for a PO. The PO has an tax code on the line item being invoiced.

SandraLet me get into a little more detail. We have EDI incoming invoices working properly in our production environment. It is unlikely our mapping or our customization is incorrect. It is possible that something has been changed with customization but I have already looked there and did not see anything of concern.
I'm doing testing in our test environment using WE19, and I'm getting this error message although the idoc I create is similar to examples in production and the PO is also similar to what is in production.
I was hoping that someone had experienced a similar issue and would be able to point me in a direction that I have not already looked.

Hi,
I defined a new "Terms of Payment" in configuration and defined the appropriate cash discount percentage rate. I also created a customer master record and assigned the newly created terms of payment. Using this new master record, I successfully posted an invoice in AR using FB70. Now, I am trying to post an incoming invoice using F-28. But for some reason unknown to me, the terms of payment (that I just created and assigned to the customer master record) is not being shown in the "Post Incoming Payments Process Open Items" screen in the Cash discnt field.
I have no problems posting the invoice without the cash discount percentage rate. However, when I manually try to give a discount rate, I get a warning message that says Cash discount-relevant amount is zero; check entry at the bottom left corner of the screen. When I click this warning, I get a pop-up screen with the same message and message no. F5073.
I am sure I am missing a key configuration step in this process, but am not able to understand where. Any light you can throw on this situation is greatly appreciated.

In the FB70 you can see the payment term in the tab Payments in the header data.
In F-22, the payment term is displayed in the screen where you enter the amount for customer invoice.
For payment transaction F-28 is not relevant as payment term is entered in invoice and the discount etc for that invoice is calculated based on that payment term. In F-28 you are just making the payment for the net amount. However you can change the discount amount here.
( Also check that in transaction OB41, Payment term is maintained as optional field in field status group Payment Transactions for posting key 31.
Also go to FS00 for the reconciliation account assigned to your vendor, the go to tab 'Create/bank/interest" and double click on the field status gorup.Check that in group Payment Transactions, the field Payment term is marked as optional field.)

MIRA is for Invoice Verification in the Background
Purpose
This process is suitable for the following transactions:
Posting invoices with mass amounts of data for which no item check is required
Posting invoices referring to transactions not yet entered in the system
Entering Invoices for Verification in the Background (Without Item List)
When verifying invoices in the background, you enter only a small set of document header data, such as the invoice amount, the currency and the tax information. You also allocate the incoming invoice to a purchasing document or a vendor. The system saves the data and allocation criteria you enter.
At a later point, the system verifies the invoice in the background. It uses the allocation criteria you entered to determine the item list. It then calculates the net total from the item list.
If the net total = gross amount invoiced - tax amount (+/- tolerance), the system posts the invoice in the background.
If the net total ¹ gross amount invoiced - tax amount (+/- tolerance), the system does not post the invoice in the background. It saves the document header data and the items determined in the background; the saved document then has to be processed manually in Invoice Verification.
With Invoice Verification in the background, the system does not check for any quantity or price differences at item level. Since you do not enter any actual invoice item data, the system uses the default data for comparison.

Can not delete the incoming invoice- is "held"

What can be done if to PO an incoming invoice was created, but beacuse of some error messages only held, not posted. Now, if they try to delete the invocie (though transaction MIR4) , the message comes :
Invoice document xxxxxx cannot be processed further
Message no. M8422
Diagnosis
The invoice document xxxxxxxx contains the purchasing document xxxxxxxx, and the item 00290. You cannot enter the invoice for this item, or you cannot cancel the invoice document. This can have various causes, for example:
- The PO item is locked
- THE PO item is flagged for deletion
- Another employee is currently processing the purchase order
- The purchase order has not yet been released
- The corresponding service entry sheet has been deleted
- For a held invoice for planned delivery costs: the vendor in the held invoice does not match the vendor in the purchase order condition or with the vendor from the purchase order history. This is because the vendor in the purchase order condition has been changed in the meantime. -> In this case, you can no longer process the held document. You can use report Z_MRM_DELETE_PP from note 501905 to delete the document
The position 290 in Po seems to be ok, no deletion flag or something else, no change of vendor.
Could be the problem caused by the fact, that in the meantime the reall invoice to the same PO was created and also posted?
So how can we delete the held invoice without implementing the note?Hi,
Please check the frieght condition in the PO item detail screen by taking the icon magnifying glass and check wheather the vendor is changed.
