Env variable for custom top showing diffent values

hi,
we cloned the prod to UAT then the
value for env variable for custom top showing different values.
ie,
backend it is showing
echo $XXECO_TOP
/oracle/UAT/apps/apps_st/appl/xxeco/12.0.0 (this is the correct value)
from the front end when we submit the "print environment variable" concurrent request it shows the following incorrect value
/dev/oracle/app/oraprod/apps/apps_st/appl/xxeco/12.0.0 (this is prod value)
please let us know how to correct the value

Hi ,
You have to create a formula variable in the formula.
The formula variable in the general tab would have the reference characteristic as your date characteristic on which you have created a user entry variable or on which you intend to create a date entry variable.
Give the proceesing type as replacement path.
Next in Replacement path mention you would replace the variable with value of another variable.
Mention the variable name.(This is the actual varaible created on the selection screen),
Also mention you would replace only from value/to value of the variable.

Using bean.variable for inputText but not getting value

Hi I am using ADF BC JSF 10.1.3.2.
I have a search page that has : dropdown1,
based on dropdown1, I populate the dropdown 2 and with autosubmit and partialtrigger and also set either of the two search layouts true
LAyout 1 based on dropdown1 value, say x, is rendered and I have 3 inputText , each have value= #{backingbean.variable}.
Now when i am running this page, I got dropdown2 rendered with correct values and layout 2 rendered as required. Problem starts when I enter a value in the inputText1 and click on search button. In the search method, I try to get value for variable with so many ways : getVariable(), this.getInputText1.getValue()/// All these returned null.
I tried to initialize the variable. In this case, the inputText1 showed initialised value and when i change value and submit, in the search method I still get the old initialised value.
The inputText1 somehow never sets the value
Please help..

Hi,
I'm not exactly sure about what your functionality is but from what I gather the problem could be that if the bean is request scope then the value of the input text is already lost when you are trying to retrieve it.
In any case I think that the best thing to do is to use the default view criteria functionality to perform the search if it is done on a view object.

Do I need to set system env variables for weblogic and SOA server installation?

   I already have two weblogic application servers on my machine(that were installed by others).
I observed some environment variables were also set in System variables(ORACLE_HOME,WEB_SERVER_HOME etc) section in Env variables section(Start Menu---> Computer --> properties ---).But why do we need to have system environment variables wherein we already have those variables in files like setDomainEnv.bat or/and setSOADoaminEnv.bat for each server.
And one more thing system variables will be applicable for all servers(the whole machine) right.It may spoil the installation of new servers and present servers as variables should be unique to each server.
    I want to install weblogic and SOA server installation.
So Can I remove the existing system variables(as they will applicable for every server) and install weblogic and SOA server installation without setting up the environment variables?
Especially I have multiple Weblogic servers,In that case how it would be to have environment variables(JAVA_HOME,WL_HOME,ORACLE_HOME etc)?
Please guide me on this to installl SOA suite .

Work around for Custom Slide Show

My powerpoint 2010 presentation has several custom slide show to 'repeat' the current slide when clicked. After publishing in Adobe Connect via Presenter, the button with action to show and run the custom slide show did not work. Is there a work around this? I also hid the playbar, I was required to create/add buttons on the presentation to be used as navigation controls. One of the buttons is set up with an action to show and run the custom slide show (which basically repeats the current slide).

Apperently iTunes 11 is not affected (Apple stil makes iTunes11 for the 14 yr old Microsoft XP OS, but not for anything PPCs can run. Go figure)

On 9.2.1/10.4.11 differences, some time in the past someone selected 'save file' and checked the box 'don't ask again' on your computers dialog box. That's why you're not given a choice wih the file downloads. I would think that selection should be able to be reversed.
iTunes 9.2.1/OS10.4.11 puts those downloaded URLs into the Music Libary of iTunes, no matter if it's opened directly, or you click on the file on your desktop. You can create a new playlist, highlight the selection in the Music Libary, and drag it to your new playlist to keep alll the steaming URLs together. NOTE, this only creates an alias, the URL copied by iTunes must remain in the Music Libary. You can then delete the the files on the desktop, if you want. I did multiple stations this way in 9.2.1, they all show in either the new playlist created, or in the Music Libary, and remain after the desktop files are deleted and trash emptied.
You can switch sations by double clicking them. Another note, all the URLs were all from vtune.

How to create an user input variable for customer exit variable? - BW3.5

I have a requirement for the selection period of my reports. There are 3 possible reporting periods which should be user selectable:
1. Month: Current reporting month
2. Fiscal Year to Date
3. Project Year to Date
Here I need 2 variable to do these, 1 customer exit and 1 user input variable. I have created a variable customer exit to calculate all these requirement. But can any1 tell on how to create the user input variable for my customer exit? I need a user input variable with drop down list like below.
01-Current month
02- Fiscal Year to Date
03-Project Year to Date
I have create a new master data for this variable, but it's not working. What I need now is a standalone master data which do not need to link to any exiting records. Can any1 tell me how to create this?

Just go to the definition of the variable for which you have created a customer exit. There you will find a check box for "Ready for Input". Just tick that checkbox and the variable will be available as a selection variable in the reports selection screen.

Setting NLS_LANG env variable for adcmctl.sh

How do set the NLS_LANG env variable specifically for adcmctl.sh? Currently it gets overridden by the NLS_DATE_LANG env variable. I'd like to set it to blank if possible.

Unfortunately there is no way to change the session character set on the fly .
So you are pretty limited on what you can do ..
1. Start up multiple instances of the report server on your machine, one per langauge.
2. Try Oracle Report which support UTF8.

Variable entry screen for query doesnt show selection values.

Hi,
I've created a query with date varibale Quarter From-To. When i execute this query, the variable entry screen pops up but when i try to select values just shows ??? and not the text.
if i run the same query in RSRT the variable entry screen pops up but here the selection values are present for me to choose from.
can anyone tell why the values arent showing when the query is executed.

yes, it seems to be a problem with NetWeaver BI BEx Java Web runtime as it works in RSRT and web analyzer. Found a note on marketplace note 125357 - No values displayed for attributes in input help but this did not resolve issue.

Passing variables for custom built SQR

There is a custom build application in our EBS suite and we are trying to add a new program to the application. The SQR Program works likes this.
1. Calculates functional part and prints out the report.
2. Also generates the report in a text file.
Issue:
1. The first part works perfectly but the file does not get generated.It throws out an error.
Error on line 106
(SQR 2905) Cannot open file ‘/new.txt’ AS 1.
(13) : Permission denied
This is from the SQR Program $rbfilename = getenv('XXPOS_PAY')||'/new.txt'
We have declared the XXPOS_PAY variable in the customCONTEXT_name.env file and sourced the APPSORA.env.
I have also ensure that the Apps user has complete privilege to write to the file system.
What do u think is wrong?

Hi i am sorry for confusing.
I have a database that has
id
status
username
first_name
last_name
email
password
ip
date_time
activation key
now on my list page i have it showin: ID / Status / Username / First Name / Last Name / Email
now after creating a recordset and making it show 15 records per page etc i then clicked on the id in table and choose from properties window browse (the folder icon) then selected the file update.php and then clicked on parameters gave the name id and value id so when i then click on a users id it takes me to the update.php page and shows there information as it suppose to by passing the user id along the url.
This is fine. now i want to make the username and email address do the same so when i click on them it takes me to the update page and loads the user information from DB like it does with the ID. Basically same thing but different text link.
Is that better explained?
it just basically allows me to select either id, username or email address instead of just id, just preference really.

Accounting needs to be trigger like below

Hi,
If your configuration is correct, an accounting document will get created during invoice creation even if the value is zero. Acct doc is created not based on the value, but based on the account key to which the condition type is linked.
Generally in free goods, there will be net price (gross price- discounts). You can link this netprice condition type to an account key. The netprice will anyway be nullified by NB00 condition type which is applicable for free goods pricing. You can also link NB00 to another account key.
Now the values will nullify each other in invoice. Similarly the values will be nullified in accountnig doc also and they can be posted to any GL account you wish.

Need to Create a Last 12 Months Variable for Custom Dimension

Hi everybody
Once again, I need your good help for an issue I'm facing. In one of our Cube, we have some Date Dimension sthat we've created ourselves (a ZCXXXXX dimension). For one Dimension, Ii need to create a variable that is giving me, automaticaly, the Last 12 Months excluding Current Month (same as the 0CML12LM provided by SAP) without any manual entry done by the user via the Variable Entry Screen.
I don't want to use offset because I don't want to allow any Manual intervention for my users because it is a report start via RRI.
Please let me know if you are aware on how to do this!

My problem is that my report is counting Incident per supplier per Month. We have a Key Figure that is doing the Total of incident with a Vendor Variable. So, for a given supplier, if there is no incident for the Incident Month, it won't display in the Result Page. Also, My report is dynamic so I'can not fix a Structure. On the other hand, I never used Strucutre, so I'm not really aware on how using this and if it will answer my need.
If you can give me more details, maybe I'll be able if a Structure is my solution.

CJ88 and CJI3 for particular period showing different values

Hi,
We have automatic rule creation.
Now, we are running period settlement for period 5.
sender is WBSE
receiver is FXA
CJI3 is showing 1,171,580.82
CJ88(Test Run) is showing 1,381,580.82
Why there is difference in two, and this difference is coming only for 3 projects.
I have checked the currency, it is fine.
I tried CJEN but still the same thing.

Env. variable for sqlPlus to search for sql scripts?

On Oracle 11.2, on win / (or Win 2008 64bit) I would like to start sqlPlus and call some package scripts wich are in $ORACLE_HOME\rdbms\admin folder..
but I would not like to move to that folder or to call scripts with full filename..
so, is there some environment variable wich tells sqlPlus in wich folder to search for .sql (.plb & other) scripts?

We are working with 7.0. In the query's variable screen we have a variable for Customer Hierachy level 3, but when we push F4 in it, all values for Cust Sales appear. How can we filter this?

you need to calculate no of machine running hours per month, in order to
caculate the machine total utilization time..in this context.. you need to know
how may hours are there in an month by month..
you can define a variable and write the code in the customer exit for deriving the total no. of hours available for that month and get that value into a variable for further calution like deducting the down time and set up time so on..in your
calculated KF..
