Customizing time of DSM.Terminator pop-up window

Hello,
when doing a "log out" from the portal the pop-up window of the DSM Terminator Component appears.
On help.sap.com I found the following under the topic "Session Release Agent":
...To close the sessions, a small additional window is generated in the browser outside the visible screen area. This window is automatically closed after two seconds if the Transmission command has been processed...
BUT I did not find any parameters to change this beaviour.
My question is now where can I customize this period of two seconds? Or is it hard coded?
Or is it possible to place the pop-up window in the background, lets say "behind" the portal browser window?
Any other possibilities or ideas?

The value is set through the following code:

It's hardcoded within JS-Files, but this way you can edit it easily: To be found under \usr\sap\<ID>\j2ee\j2ee_00\cluster\server\services\servlet_jsp\work\jspTemp\irj\root\portalapps\com.sap.portal.epcf.loader\script\[optimize|standard]\js1[?]_epcf.js

Conditions for EPCF level 2 in EP 6

Hi,
What exactly are the conditions for EPCF level 2 to be used? We have the epcfLoader service property "framework.level" set to 2, but when I display the client framework environment test (under Sys Admin - support), EPCM.getLevel() is showing as 1 [JavaScript]!
I ran that on a browser with java installed, and I have successfully tested an example applet on a different website.

We think the fact that the DSM terminator applet is not being used is causing some other system connections not to be terminated, so any help you can give would be very much appreciated!

Thanks Eric,
I've just had a conversation with SAP about this (due to a different OSS note). The developer I talked to said that the portal will determine the MINIMUM EPCF level required to run each page and use that. This is based on the levels set in each portal component on the page (EPCF.Level can be defined in each par file's portalapp.xml), and the MAXIMUM level defined with the framework.level property on the epcfLoader service.
In this case, the irj only needs level 1 and that's what it uses to run the portal. Apparently EBP is an example of an app that requires level 2 and so the iviews for that are run in level 2.

How to connect ZTE Open C with Firefox OS 1.3 to a calDAV server of Synology DSM 5.1?

Hi,
I am running Firefox OS 1.3 on a ZTE Open C. I am trying to connect the calendar of the phone to a calDAV server of a NAS of Synology running DSM 5.1 (newest release).
I go into the calendar app of the phone and configure the calDAV account:
username: testuser
password: *******
URL: https://192.168.1.251:5006/testcalendar
The calendar does not connect and the error message the phone shows is:
wrong login and/or password
Some background information:
1. I am successfully connecting to this calendar from a Windows 8.1 PC (Firefox Lightning), an Apple iPAD (Apple Calendar), and a Linux notebook (Firefox Lightning). So the URL, the login and the calendar work ok.
2. I am successfully connecting with the firefox browser of the phone using https to the mangagement interface (port 7001) of the NAS (the certificate is flagged as "untrusted" and a permanent exception has been made). So login with https works ok in principle.
3. I get the same error message "wrong login and/or password" under DSM 5.0. So it is not a problem of the version of the Synology DSM calDAV server
4. I get the same error "wrong login and/or password) with an unsecure connection using http and the respective URL: http://192.168.1.251:5005/testcalendar (beware of the changed port number using http). So it is not a problem of the ssl-connection.
I have connected the phone to the linux machine and generated the log by running:
sudo adb logcat -v time > calendar.log
Here is are the results of the log (I have made 1 unsuccessful attempt to connect to the calDAV server on 11-16 14:26 and 2 unsuccessful attempts on 11-16 14:27. I am not sure for which message to look for so I just have the sections that contain most probably the bug (If required I can of course provide the full log or even re-test and re-log). my guess for the bug is:

1. CalDAV Log on Synology:
I have tested the connection between the calDAV client on ZTE Open C (Firefox OS 1.3) and the calDAV server on Synology (DSM 5.1) again and I get the same bug "wrong login and/or password". The logs on the Synology NAS show the following (Synology NAS: Control Panel-> File Services -> webDAV -> Advanced Settings -> View Logs -> Select: Connection)
User [testuser] from [192.168.1.6] failed to login in via [WebDAV] due to authorization failure
2. Seperate Folder/Files for calendar on Synolgoy
I have setup the CalDAV files on Synology NASin a dedicated folder. The calendar ist in https://192.168.1.251:5006/dir_PersonalCalendars/testcalendar . Unfortunately the error on the ZTE Open C is the same as before: "wrong login and/or password" .
Interesting is, that if I mis-type the folder or the calendar name, then I get on the ZTE Open C the error: "Something is wrong. Try again later".
This suggests that the folder and files are well recognized when loggin in.

MDM Table EVENT(EPCF) to get the record ids

Hi Experts,
I have a requirement where I need to trigger an EPCF event from MDM standard result set iview and need to capture the recordids of all the record present in the table in my customised webdynpro application.I have to later read them to an excel sheet.(the code for which i already have)
I am trying table type EPCF eventing for that and later passing [Search] as parameter but i am not able to get this search object and it seems to be a futile approach.
Please anyone of you can tell me the method to retrieve all records from resultset Iview to my dynpro application.

Hi Vinay,
You are correct in that you cannot pass a list of ID's from the Result Set iView. This is by design and the reasoning behind it is that there could be thousands or even hundreds of thousands of records in a Result Set, and this would make passing them in a JavaScript function or URL unrealistic.
However, since the ResultSet is always the result of a search, you can pass the "search" to your custom application and recreate the result set there. The only caveat is as follows:
Prior to MDM 5.5 SP6 P2, the iViews were based on the MDM4J API. So if your version of MDM is pre-SP6 Patch 2, you must use the function Search.setArchive() of MDM4J.
From MDM 5.5 SP6 Patch 2, the iViews are based on the MDM Java API, and so you should use the function Search.deserialize() of MDM Java API.

MDM Log / EPCF Eventing in Result and Item Details Iview

Hi,
I have EP7 with SP15 and MDM 6.0, recently upgraded. Before upgrade we have an application which uses the MDM iviews and maps the fields of one table to other and displays in some other iview.
The application was working fine before upgrade of MDM. But after upgrade, the mapping seems not working.
My scenario is as : Using MDM Search iview, I search records from MDM repository, Main Table. This result is displayed in MDM Result iview. From this result iview, I select a record. From this selected record, a field is mapped to the other table. The mapped record, then, is displayed in MDM Details Iview.
After MDM upgrade, whenever we select a record from the result of table 1,the mapped iview throws erros :
Error occurred: Error performing search. com.sap.mdm.internal.protocol.manual.ServerException: Illegal value for parameter, com.sap.mdm.internal.protocol.manual.ServerException: Illegal value for parameter (see log for details)
when serached log : Key is not found in table:<Table1>-KeyMappings it may have been deleted or renamed, please use editor to fix the problem##
We have used EPCF eventing for MDM iviews.
I have written some code to check the values passed from Result Iview and seen that the values are being passed correctly...Now think, i should also have a check in MDM how the values are recieved and mapped...
Any idea how I can use MDM log service to do this? Or any idea how I can enable MDM log to monitor what comes in and what goes out?
has anyone out there faced same issue ?

Solved at my own. The MDM SP6 needs the subtable key field to be TEXT type.

Problem with DSM-CC

I would want update a file called Box.txt (in my directory File) that i change frequently and i would want that the STB update only this file in its platform and no total file system.

DSM window is a big window with log in it

All,
I have a strange issue.
On some PC's, when the user logs off or switches from one scrren to another, the DSM window opens. This is what I would expect. However, it opens a large window (around 1/3 of the screen) rather than a very small one. Not only that but it has all of the information as if you have the DSM logger turned on (black text with DSM information).
I have tried adding the domain as trusted sites in IE, but it still happens. I think it may be a browser issue (we are using IE6).
Any ideas on how to get just the small window?

Try checking this.....
1- The Portal URL .. how it is accessed, it should be with FQDN like http://<host>.<domain>:<port>/irj , not with http://<host>:<port>/irj
2- Pop up blocker in browser, should be disabled
3- Java Script enable in browser
4- Clear the browser cookies and reproduce

EPI-USE DSM Client Synch problem

Tried to do a full years worth of data. It ended with errors. Opened ticket and was told "
The DB error "Database error -901 at PRE access to table ..." indicates a basis level problem and not a problem with how you are running DSM. I suggest you ask your basis admin to have a look at the following tables: VAPMA, VRKPA, VAKPA.
A good place to start is to use se11 to run the database and runtime object consistency check that is available under the utilities menu. I also see reports online that some users were able to fix the -901 database error by reactivating the table."
I have searched for solutions to these errors, and have not found any help.
Can anyone give me a clue what to do? This is being run on an iSeries with the database being DB2.

UpdateSearch EPCF in Resultset iView

Hi,
I am raising the following standard EPCF event from my custom Java WebDynpro, passing a specific "Item Identifier (Product ID)" to my PRODUCTS table. It's working fine and the perticular row is retreived in my Standard Resultset iView, but I want to send multiple values of ProductId field to Resultset iView instead of one value (ProductID=104367719). How do i send multiple values from my custom webdynpro using the following event?

You mean to tell that updateSearch EPCF event can't take multiple values?
Can't we use OR & AND operator for Keyword field to send multiple values to updateSearch event from Custom WebDynpro?? as Keyword search is doing? If so, could you please let me know how to use the fields and how to pass the values?
When i look at my Products table, i didn't find any Field called KEYWORD.

DSM Terminator Problem in EP5 SP5???

We are using EP5 sP5. when i logoff from portal DSM terminator window is asking for password. How can i resolve the issue?

Hello,
What happens is that you loged off before the actuall session has been terminated.
What is happening is that there is a parameter missing in your user management registery.
go to regedit>software>sapportal...>usermanagement>configuration>
add the following parameter
Extended ticket expiration= 5 seconds
this should allow you to log off and not having to fill in the credentials again.

DSM Terminator problem

Hi everyone,
I am getting this DSM Terminator window popup when I close any of my WD application. I thought it was because those RFCs calls that I make but it isn't related. I created a simple HelloWorld project, created an iView and a Page.
When I preview the page from the Prtal and close it, I get the DSM terminator popup window.
How can I get ride of this popup window ?
How is it that when I "deploy and run" the application from the NWDS04S and close the application, I do not get the DSM Terminator message ?

ESS Career and JOB error in DSM and SSO

I have installed ECC in WAS 6.4. All other pages are working except career and job. When I am clicko on JOB search then I am getting a popup saying :

The alias SAP_WebDynpro_XSS is the alias on the portal for a myERP2004 system.
If you search for the Installationguide for MySAP ERP 2004 Java components,
you will see that this includes a XSS component 5.0 and contains amongst others ESS and MSS.
This needs to be configured as well.
The other alias above mentioned need to be created on the myERP2004 system using this URL (Webdynpro Admin):
