Error 0x8004100a when configuring Network Load Balacning

Hello, I've been trying to configure NLB on my windows server machines. When I finish configuring the cluster on a machine, I get:
"Update not attempted. Error 0x8004100a". I checked the event viewer and there are no logs of this. I configured my cluster in unicast mode, and I have 2 NICs on my machine, one of them is virtual. What could be causing this?

Hi,
Is the server the member of a domain?
If yes, please check if Group Policy Computer Configuration-->Windows Settings-->Security Settings-->User Rights Assignment-->"Load and unload device drivers" is configured.
Please try to add the Domain Admins group into this setting.
After that, restart the server. Use command "gpresult /h C:\report.html" to check if the setting is applied to the server.

I thought it may be related to spaces in the path in which the script was called from. I tried having the ODBC command script in another directory but the same thing happens. It will give me the "CONFIGSYSDSN: Unable to create a data source for the 'Oracle in OraClient10g_home1' driver: Could not load the setup or translator library with error code -2147467259". As soon as the script is done running I can manually double click the script and it adds the DSN fine.

JET install: ERROR: Unable to configure network interface Exiting to shell

Using SUNWjet v4.4.4 I'm trying to build a server using update 5 x86 which seems
to work with one notable exception. The JET server and the build server do not
reside on the same subnet. In order to get around not being able use PXE boot
to boot the build server I'm booting from DVD after making the following modifications
to the grub menu entry:

Error 0x80070057 when configuring Windows 7 Backup even after repair installation !

I've started getting Error 0x80070057 when trying to configure Windows 7 SP1 Backup "The parameter is incorrect".
Already did the following:
- http://support.microsoft.com/kb/982736/pl
- chkdsk c: /F /R (no errors)
- sfc /scannow (no errors)
- registry tweaks
- removing old registry backup entries
- moved partition to a different disk
- in-place repair install !!!
AND NOTHING !

Nothing wrong with sfc /scannow

Error message when opening Network panel

On bootup, my iMac 800mHz (gooseneck) 17" flat panel (OS 10.4.11) is not automatically logging into my home AE network. So, I go to System Preferences and open the Network panel. Immediately, a drop-down error window appears saying "Your network settings have been changed by another application." I click the blue "OK" button on that error window, but it WON'T GO AWAY. I must Force Quit System Prefs in order to regain use of this machine.
I can and do go to the Airport icon in the Menu Bar and select our network, and I am on the network. I can also select "Open Internet Connect" from this same Menu Bar icon, and it does not give me an error message.
Using Disk Utility, I have verified and repaired permissions. I also zapped the PRAM on restart. The problem persists.
After connecting online, this iMac seems to run nominally. However, the persistent error message in the Network panel is not a good sign.
Suggestions? Are there some Library preferences I should remove, etc?

To stop the pop-up, Go to System Preferences: Security. Check the box next to "Require password to unlock each secure system preference." Then lock Security.

Sql@loader-704 and ORA-12154: error messages when trying to load data with SQL Loader

I have a data base with two tables that is used by Apex 4.2. One table has 800,000 records . The other has 7 million records
The client recently upgraded from Apex 3.2 to Apex 4.2 . We exported/imported the data to the new location with no problems
The source of the data is an old mainframe system; I needed to make changes to the source data and then load the tables.
The first time I loaded the data i did it from a command line with SQL loader
Now when I try to load the data I get this message:
sql@loader-704 Internal error: ulconnect OCISERVERATTACH
ORA-12154: tns:could not resolve the connect identifier specified
I've searched for postings on these error message and they all seem to say that SQL Ldr can't find my TNSNAMES file.
I am able to connect and load data with SQL Developer; so SQL developer is able to find the TNSNAMES file
However SQL Developer will not let me load a file this big
I have also tried to load the file within Apex (SQL Workshop/ Utilities) but again, the file is too big.
So it seems like SQL Loader is the only option
I did find one post online that said to set an environment variable with the path to the TNSNAMES file, but that didn't work..
Not sure what else to try or where to look

You must have more than one tnsnames file or multiple installations of oracle. What i suggest you do (as I'm sure will be mentioned in ed's link that you were already pointed at) is the following (* i assume you are on windows?)
open a command prompt
set TNS_ADMIN=PATH_TO_DIRECTOT_THAT_CONTAINS_CORRECT_TNSNAMES_FILE (i.e. something like set TNS_ADMIN=c:\oracle\network\admin)
This will tell oracle use the config files you find here and no others
then try sqlldr user/pass@db (in the same dos window)
see if that connects and let us know.

Persistent error message when trying to load a VOD show

For the past few weeks, I keep getting an error message whenever I try to watch anything on VOD. The message says try again later but after repeated attempts it ususally doesn't work. Although, on one or two occasions I finally got the program to load and play. I've called the technical assitance number and after about 20 minutes answering questions to a machine I finally gor a human on the phone who had me reset the STB and then said it was a technical error on their side and nothing they could do and no ETA on when it would be fixed. This seems to happen a lot on weekend nights so I dont know if its a capacity issue but it's very fustrating especially when I'm paying for premium channels but can only watch them in real time.
Is anyone else experiencing this problem? Any advice?

Follow-up questions:
Is the VOD error message usually showing just on one set top box or all set top boxes in your household?
If it's happening to all STBs, then either there is a temporary network outage in your area or you lost connectivity to the router.
If it's always the same set top box that has the VOD error message, what model STB is it?
When this happens again you can try:
a soft reset of router by unplugging the router for 30 seconds and then plugging it back in. Then try seeing if VOD works at that point,
rebooting the STB via the FiOS TV remote: Menu -- Customer Support -- In Home Agent -- Reboot STB.

An error occurs when trying to load a .psd into PSE 9

Hi I am getting the message- An error occurred during Apple event processing -43 when I try to load .psd files into PSE 9. These are templates that I have bought that have previously worked. This just happened. I am not very computer savvy- but I need help. One thread said what to do, which I followed, but the message is still happening. Then it said that if it didn't work to unistall PSE. I am worried about doing that as I have bought MANY actions that are loaded in PSE that I am afraid of losing. Please advise. Thanks!

Now I can open it in PSE if I click on the .psd and go to File- Open with- PSE. However I have to do that every time, because the default is set at- Droplet Template. How do I change the default to open the .psds? Anyone??? Thanks!

Error mesage when trying to load songs onto ipod, computer is authorized

my husband and I have 2 different user IDs on vista and when I tried to load some songs from our public itunes directory onto his ipod, an error pops up saying this computer is not authorized to play these songs. When I try to authorize the computer in the itunes store it says, computer already authorized but I continue to get the error. I logged out of my account and back in but it still isn't working. Now when I tried to sync my iphone under my user id on the laptop I'm getting the error message that the computer is not authorized so it can't sync my iphone apps. It worked fine a week ago, this is not a new computer.

I have the exact same problem, meaning I have to reinstall a game I bought in iTtunes Store every time I plug in my iPod.
I just tried the signing out, restart, signing in proces, but it didn't work for me.. any other suggestions how to solve this?

Has anyone run into the I/O error 52 when trying to load something from a relative path in extend script?

I'm having issues when loading something in a relative path through a script, on my computer I have no issues, but on 2 other devices at work, it's not working. Even at home on a PC and mac I haven't run into problems, anyone have insight on this?

I remembered we have weird permission issues at work. Somewhere between my Home Windows 8 machine(horrible permissions issues with network), my home mac, email and my work computer, some permission got out of whack. The workaround for this was copying the file to my desktop, back to the exact same spot on the network. This resolved all issues.

Error message when trying to load iTunes

Every time I've tried to load iTunes by clicking on the icon I get the error message "iTunes has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
Anything I can do about this or is it out of my hands?

Try to open quicktime player
If quicktime does not open, then quicktime needs to be reinstalled.
If quicktime does open, then some other program is blocking itunes.
The easiest way to reinstall quicktime is to:
1. try to remove quicktime from control panel > add/remove programs
1A. some times quicktime will not uninstall. That's ok
2. drag the c:\program files\quicktime folder to the desktop
3. open c:\windows\system32\
4. drag any thing that has the full word "quicktime" (not a qt or particial word) to the desktop. (This would be something like quicktimevr.)
5. close my computer
6. back in add/remove programs, find itunes
7. click on change/remove
8. when the wizard comes up choose repair itunes.
This process will reinstall the version of quicktime needed to your computer.

Help!!!!!! I'm about going out of my mind....Need help loading music to my 1st generation I pod and keep getting error 50 message. I have windows xp and loaded new software last night. This all started when I upgraded to itunes 10 awile ago. I'm not sure that you saw the error msg. included in the kb, but it discusses removing .msi files from previous installations of DM.   Post back and let us know how it goes.

Network issues after configuring Network Load Balancing W2K8R2

Hello, I have a few Windows Server 2008 R2 machines connected to a network. I've been trying to set up a NLB Cluster on one of them, and the rest of them to be hosts. When I finish configuring the NLB Cluster, the machine loses the connection to the network
and the cluster has to be deleted to restore connection.
I've set the cluster to unicast mode, with 2 NICs, one of them is virtual(Teaming is disabled). What could be the cause of this?

When Unicast mode is enabled, each host uses the same NLB cluster MAC address. When a host goes to send traffic to another NLB host it recognizes the destination MAC address
as its source MAC address. The data never leaves the network card and thus never arrives at the intended destination, therefore please confirm you have set the static ARP with your switch.
