Error -10401 AI Clock Config Problem - HELP! Hardware issue I believe

I'm trying to use a VI that was created on another PC but will work exactly how I want it to.... that is if it ever works. I know I'm getting this error because I have a PCI6110 card and it doesn't support clock configuring (I'm not sure what this even is but).
Is there a way to modify the AI library to get rid of the clock configs or is it easier to just swap boards assuming that is feasible on my end.
Thanks
Tim

Tim,
The PCI-6110 should allow you to configure the sample clock, but this
error will occur for a number of reasons.  Most likely is that it
is trying to refer to a device that is not available on your
system.  To see if the device is working, first check Measurement
and Automation Explorer for basic functionality using test panels (My
System >> Devices and Interfaces >> DAQmx Devices or
Traditional NI-DAQ Devices, right-click on the board to access the test
panels).  Once you have determined that the board is correctly
functioning there, make note of the device number.  If it is the
only device on the system it should be dev1.  Next make sure that
your program does indeed refer to the correct device.  If you do
have the correct device selected and still do not get the desired
behavior, you might try to open an example program (Help >> Find
Examples, Hardware Input and Output >> Traditional DAQ >>
General) and running it to see if you get the correct behavior.

I Purchase iPad mini retina screen on July 7 2014 at Malaysia local apple sale agent switch store somehow now my iPad did restore to latest iOS 7.1.2, before that and after also facing 1new issue is my iPad mini cant success download apps and error message show can't download at this time, either retry or click done. My internet is good condition no line down, I reboot my iPad only can download but sometime can't need to reboot twice only can download. Very sad local sale and tech support can't help to solve my problem...

    Reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
You will have to re enter your Wi-Fi password.
No data is lost due to a reset.

  • HELP---hardware issue, sounds like something is loose

Ok so I just got my ipod video in the mail today...I was pretty excited...then as I was taking a walk I moved it and it sounded and felt like something is loose inside, not something small either. And I kept shaking it and it doesnt happen every time but every so often it feels like something moves inside...does anyone have a clue why this would happen and what it might be?????
Im also OCD with things like this but...the screen also seems to have two tiny holes, like when the videos play theres little spots where it doesnt show up but thats probably common...I mean they are very very small but like I said, Im OCD...its the first problem Im more worried about....

Yes, there is much more sound from the harddisc operation in the 5g iPod than on the on the previous models. Should be no need to send it back. for a new one.

  • Having problem with hardware issue

i just reset the network and the screen went black with an apple icon in the middle of the screen..but some how it just stay like that for like 6 hours now..can someone help me in this please?? what should i do..am totally lost... i did press all kind of button but no work or back to a normal screen..my is an IPAD 3G 16gig wifi.. please help and greatly appreciated...

A system Reset cures many ills:
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.
A system Reset does NOT delete apps, photos, movies, music or any other data.

  • Error 10401 occurred at AI Hardware Config, when using AI Acquire Waveform vi

I can successfully run applications that use the AI Sample Channel vi, however when I use the AI Acquire Waveform vi the following errors are generated:-
Error -10401 occurred at AI Hardware Config, followed by
Error -10401 occurred at AI SingleScan.
All applications have been developed using Labview 6.0.2, on an NT machine.  The applications are then run (or atleast attempted to be run) using the Labview Run-Time Engine on a different NT machine.
The driver software I am using is the NI-DAQ Native Data Acquisition Driver Software Version 6.1.

    Hi,
I've found a Knowledge Base on the NI website describing some situations where this problem occurs:
    http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/websearch/46F78EDD19BA0CC386256CEE007201FC?OpenDocument
That error code is generally seen when something has changed in the DAQ card's configuration, or the drivers are not installed properly. It's strange that this is showing up only on certain functions for your application.
Also try having a look through the DAQ troubleshooting pages on the website:

  • Help resolving "Error 10401 occurrred at AI/AO Group Config"

Hello, I know this is a common error but I'm unable to find a solution looking through these forums and other websites.  I am trying to convert a program wrote on an old computer running LabVIEW 6 to a new computer (with newer hardware) running LabVIEW 8.5.  I've resolved all issues that have came up so far (installing the traditional legacy drivers and such).  The only error I am getting now is a run-time error that pops up and reads:
"Error 10401 occurred at AI Group Config" and "Error 10401 occurred at AO Group Config"
I've already run the Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX) and that did not help.  I'm using Windows XP and my hardware is a NI PCI-6281 M series DAQ.
Do I have to re-write the sub-VI's, or is this fixable?  Is there an easier way to convert a program?
If anyone can provide any help or insight what so ever it is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Alex

  • Help with Error -10401 occurred at AO Group Config

I am receiving the error: "Error -10401 occurred at AO Group Config" and have been unable to fix it.
Some background: This is someone else's program who has since left, so I am not very familiar with it. It was running fine a little while ago, until the PCI-GPIB card broke.  We got a new GPIB card (essentially the exact same model; the old one was 183619B-01; the new one is 183617K-01) and now this error appears every time I try to run it.
I believe this is being thrown by the "AO Config.vi" in my VI Hierarchy.  From reading other forums, such as this: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/46F78EDD19BA0CC386256CEE007201FC and this: http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW/Change-in-PCI-Device-Number/m-p/2312186#M726679, it seems it may be a problem with properly assigning device numbers.  (The new GPIB card  may have been assigned a new device number while the program is calling the old one).  However, the solution offered is to right-click on the device in MAX and change the device number, but when I right-click I am not given that option (see attached image). On the other hand, it could also be some sort of driver problem.
I am running LabVIEW 8.2.1 and Measurement and Automation Explorer 4.2.1.3001 on Windows XP SP2.  Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Hi bh424,
I would make sure that you have updated drivers as you mentioned. If you are using TDAQ make sure to reset the device driver mentioned in the KB you listed.
Another thought would to be to remove and readd the device in MAX to refresh it, and potentially change the naming in your program to reference a new named device. If you cannot rename the device in MAX you could look at repointing the device in your code.
Are you able to communicate with the device at all in MAX through simple queries? From the right click screenshot it looks like *IDN did not communicate properly.
Have you also refreshed the list or rebooted your machine?
    http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/23B5918E5604915B86256C2B005F4D70?OpenDocument
I would first ensure you can communicate with the new card in MAX alone. Here are some troublehsooting steps if that is not the case:
    http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/A80DBFCCAC36EBDE862562C80058856E?OpenDocument
There is also the possibility that the card is broken as well. If it was indeed purchased from a 3rd party vendor, there is less we know about the card or what could have been done to it before you acquired it.

  • 'Error -10401 Occurred at AI Clock Config' When Running Certain Examples ...

I tried following the suggestion given earlier on the website link http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/3efedde4322fef19862567740067f3cc/50f8faa83c79f07f862569f90041855b?OpenDocument
So I changed the Channel A to 0 and Channel B to 1, but still get the same error. I am doing a VI on my own that is getting the same error so I am very confused.

    Hello;
I don't have detail on what exactly you are trying to accomplish there.
Can you give me more details such as what board you are using, what you need to accomplish, etc?
Meanwhile, the error -10401 occurs if you are trying to address a device that is not present. If MAX cannot see the DAQ card or you have changed the device number of the card, you will get this error. So, I recommend you first use MAX to do basic testing with the board, and check if the device number you are setting at the LV VI corresponds to the device number MAX assigned to that board.
    Hope this helps.

  • Help - Error 10401

    Hi All,
Let me open by saying I am an IT person trouble shooting this for someone else and I have almost no experience with the Labview software. The scientist using the software is only informing me that his program will not execute properly.
A little background; the program I am trying to run was developed approximately 10 years ago using Labview v5.1 and a NI PCI-6052E data card. The machine that ran the program is no longer working so I brought the program and card over onto a Windows 7pc with Labview 2012. (the older installation discs are not available to us)
I posted to the forum and had the program updated via the Version Conversion section so that it works with v2012 (or at least opens). The problem that I am getting when I run it is this error ‘Error – 10401 occurred at AI Group Config. The specified device is not a National Instruments product’.
Tech support suggested an older driver, which I installed, NI-DAQmx 9.6.1, and the error still persists.
The tech thinks that since the program was developed using T-DAQ that I need to update it somehow to recognize DAQmx functions.
Any help is very much appreciated. I am willing to share whatever I need to get this sorted out quickly. Please let me know if you need the program, screenshots, system specs, or any other information.
Thank you in advance for any assistance you can provide.
    Kristian

I agree with the sub vi assessment. When I open the program it looks for the lvdaq.dll in a certain location, where v5.1 kept it, but finds it in a new location that corresponds to v2012 and this seems to be ok.
Do you have a sample graph you could send me? I only have the one program to troubleshoot. Or maybe point me in the direction of sample programs. As I mentioned earlier I am troubleshooting for the scientist and have extremely limited program knowledge.
    Your help is highly appreciated.

Hi guys, I got this error code when I did my apple hardware test. 4MOT/2/40000004:HDD-1379 does anyone have an idea of what this could mean? Please Help .

You can buy and install the hard drive you want to. However, on Late 2009 and newer iMacs the temperature sensor is in the hard drive, so if you replace it with a hard drive that has not got a temperature sensor you will have serious fan problems.
You have got an Early 2009 iMac, so do not worry about this. You can buy a hard drive at OWC > http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/hard-drives/3.5-SerialATA/ Follow these steps > http://www.ifixit.com/Guide/iMac+Intel+24-Inch+EMC+2267+Hard+Drive+Replacement/9 028

  • System config problems please help!!!!

I bought a windowns recovery disk for my toshiba satellite L450D and everything was okay until I reached theconfiguring system partI left it go for about 2 hours but nothing happened so I restarted and I still have the same problem can someone please help me with this because I don't wanna buy a new computer

If the recovery disks are not working then it is either an issue with the disks or a hardware issue with the computer.  I would start with the disks.  Contact Toshiba (where you bought the disks) and tell them the disks are not working.  If possible, try and see if they will issue you the recovery media on flash drive as that seems to work better than the cds.  Another thing you can try is (if possible) swapping parts of your computer into a know working computer to ensure they are all in working order (hdd, ram).  It is also not a bad idea to wipe a hdd before attempting to do an install.  this can be accomplished using third party software which can usually be accessed via bootable cd.

  • I am trying to authorize my computer and I get an error message: The required directory was not found or has a permissions error. Correct this permissions problem and try again, or deauthorize this computer if the permissions cannot be changed. Help?

I am trying to authorize my computer and I get an error message: The required directory was not found or has a permissions error. Correct this permissions problem and try again, or deauthorize this computer if the permissions cannot be changed. Help?

I used Terminal to change the permissions on the folder in question.  I followed the instructions in this article:
iTunes: Missing folder or incorrect permissions may prevent authorization
In my case, the folder was there, so I needed the command to change permissions on the folder, not to create one.   I was hesitant to use Terminal b/c I know that if I made an error I could wipe out my hard drive or render my computer unusable.  So to be SURE I didn't make an error, I carefully copied the command from that page and *pasted* it into Terminal.  Also, before I could do anything in Terminal, I had to go change my admin password (it had been a blank password before and that's not acceptable for making changes in Terminal).  I was just super careful when entering my password or doing anything else while Terminal was open (making sure I didn't accidently hit the spacebar or another key, etc.)  And it fixed the problem right away.
What was confusing for me was that the iTunes error message said to change permissions in the FINDER, which is what I was trying to do.  It didn't mention Terminal.  What would really be helpful is if Apple included a link to a page like this in their error message.

  • Error -10401 occurred at AI Group Config - in relation to USB-6008

I'm attempting to run a simple vi that uses AI Aquire Waveforms.vi to input voltage data that I have coming in from the USB-6008 DAQ.  However, when I try running the program, I receive the error:
Error -10401 occurred at AI Group Config
    Possible reason(s):
NI-DAQ LV:  The specified device is not a National Instruments product, the driver does not support the device (for example, the driver was released before the device was supported), or the device has not been configured using the Measurement & Automation Explorer.
And I'm not sure how to fix it.  In MAX, the device seems to be working properly and everyhting seems to work fine in the test panel, so I'm slightly at a loss.  I'm running Labview 7.1, and installed NI-DAQmx 7.5 which came with the USB-6008.

Never mind.  I'm new to Labview, and didn't realize that I could not use the traditonal Data Aquisition components with the USB-5008 (I didn't even realize that NI-Daqmx was different).
