Error -1074397150 occurred at IMAQ Snap.vi

Hi.
(Sorry if my English is wrong )
I want to snap a picture - from a camera that was designed in my lab - and save it in a BMP file.
I use the "IMAQ PCI-1428" to accomplish this task and the "HL snap&save to BMP.vi".
But, as I try to run the VI I'm getting this error - "Error -1074397150 occurred at IMAQ Snap.vi", afterward I'm getting
another massage - "ERROR(DMA Timeout): The system is unable to capture all of the incoming video data....".
What should I do, to resolve this problem?

I noticed you were using the PCI-1428 framegrabber card. This card supports Camera Link cameras. In order to tell the PCI-1428 how to
communicate with the camera, the NI-IMAQ driver uses a camera file that
contains camera specific information for configuration. You will need to have a properly configured
camera file for you camera that you have created.
NI has a large number of camera files that are created and
certified to support popular industrial grade cameras. In cases where a custom camera file is needed,
NI provides the NI-Camera
File Generator as a utility for camera file creation. Keep in mind that custom camera files are not
supported by National Instruments Applications Engineers.

The sensor we are using is Goodrich SU640KTSX. I can run SUI image Analysis 3.1 software, Measurement & Automation software, and MATLAB code on an XP machine with no errors when grabbing images. We are tying to build a newer PC;
Dell T7500 with Intel xeon CPU x5650 @ 2.67GHz
Memory; 12GB
OS Win7 64-bit
Camlink card is NI PCIe-1430
Nvidia QUADRO 4000
The error we get is "Error -1074397153 occurred at IMAQ Grab Setup.vi / Cannot detect recognizable video source" when using the SUI image Analysis 3.1 software or MATLAB code. When we use the NI-IMAQ i/o 2.3.1- Measurement & Automation I can snap, grab and record without any error.
Any help on this would be great

Hi,
Let us know which standard your camera is following (whether it is cameralink or ethernet).

If at all it is cameralink camera make sure that you are following proper trigger sequence for your camera. As u are grabbing frames in MAX and not in other acquisition softwares it might be triggering issue or cables problem.

Error -1074397038 occurred at IMAQ Start.vi for 64bit Labview 2011 SP1, Win7

I am using a MC1362 camera from Mikrotron with a PCIe1433 framegrabber. I was using it with windows XP, 32 bit, labview 2010 SP1 32 bit, it was working perfectly fine. I just switch to windows 7 with labview 2011 SP1 64bit, and it is not working anymore with my custom routine in labview, though it works with MAX and camera file generator and I use the same camera file.
When I run my routine, I have this error message:
Error -1074397038 occurred at IMAQ Start.vi
Possible reason(s):
NI-IMAQ: The requested serial termination string was not found in the returned buffer.
Then, If I try to run the camera with MAX, it doesn't work anymore, I have to reboot the camera, and put it in the right mode with the Mikrotron control tool to obtain an image.
I have seen similar issue on a Basler camera on the forum, and it has been solved by using a camera file to set the different parameters. There is no camera file complete to set all the parameters of the camera, so I had to program them in serial to drive the camera with my Labview routine.
Could you help me to solve this issue please?

Error -1074395975 occurred at IMAQ AVI Read Frame DirectX has timed out readin

When i run the "Read AVI Example" on every kind of AVI file, I get the error:
Error -1074395975 occurred at IMAQ AVI Read Frame DirectX has timed out reading or writing the AVI file. When closing an AVI file, try adding an additional delay. When reading an AVI file, try reducing CPU and disk load.

Error -1074395395 occurred at IMAQ Match Color Pattern after merge programs

Dear all
I have 2 separate programs that use same source image (red01a1.jpg). The first find location of color particles (color location 01.vi) and second find location of particles after threshold color image (particle location 01.vi). Both of them run good.
But when 2 programs were merged into one program (color sorter 01i.vi), that happened error . The error message is “Error -1074395395 occurred at IMAQ Match Color Pattern”. How can I fix it ?

benutze eine logitech webcam zur bilderfassung. ich habe ein vi
erstellt das im zeitraum von 1s ständig neue bilder macht und diese mit
einem referenzbild vergleicht. mein problem ist das so bei ungefähr
1000 vergleichen eines neuen bildes mit dem referenzbild der fehler

Error 1074397150 in gated IMAQ acquisition

Hi,
I have a SUI linescan camera which is read out with an NI 1427 framegrabber. I use an acquisition routine similar to LL ring acquisition. I want to gate the camera externally such that a fixed number of lines is acquired when the gate is high. So I put a TTL signal with duty cycle 50% on the gate of the camera. What should happen is that when I start grabbing the images from the camera, the buffer rate is half as high as without gating.
This is indeed the case SOMETIMES. In many cases labview doesn't start acquiring images and the acquisition 'while loop' is locked. The error is in IMAQ Extract Buffer->IMAQ Examine buffer->IMAQ img WaitForIMAQOccurence with error code 1074397150. Apparently the occurence is not made by the .dll imgSessionExamineBufferWithOccur This problem occurs even with a gating speed of >1 kHz, so it is no timeout issue I think. If I operate in a mode without gating, there is no problem and the acquisition rate is as expected.

To test that your camera is returning valid images, try running some of the high level IMAQ examples that ship with LabVIEW by going to Help >> Find Examples. In the middle folder list, browse to Hardware Input and Output, and select the IMAQ folder. Browse to the High Level folder, and try running some of the examples in this folder to verify that the camera is working properly with LabVIEW.

How to solve Error -1074396080 occurred at IMAQ array to color Image

I am getting above mentioned error.
Here I have attached my screen shot of the error.
Could any one Please guide me how to solve this error.
I am using Kinesthesia kinect driver which generate U24 Bit RGB Image and I want to convert it in IMAQ Image type, But I am getting mentioned error.
But when I am not using the vision acquisition and vision assistant then every thing is fine means there is no any error which I have attached in attachment 2.
Please guide me how to solve this problem.

IError -1074395992 occurred at IMAQ ReadFile when processing batch via a vi

I have built a vi from a visoin assitant file via the automated vi creation under tools in vision assitant. The vi works fine on a single file but then the input control is changed to select an entire directory it crashed with
Error -1074395992 occurred at IMAQ ReadFile File access denied.
It reads all the files individually but won't run in the batch mode.

Hi Patrick,
Sorry it's taken so long to get back to you. The function you are trying to use doesn't actually support reading of many files at a time (batch processing), what you will have to do is extract all of the path names individually and then complete paralel processing on all of the images. (The image constant that is passed to each of the functions can only store one image at a time)
I have taken your vi and changed it slightly to allow for this functionality.

Error -1074396199 occurred at Invalid Coordinate System error is coming when i try to run the VI. i had used simple 3 things first is Orignal image than colour extract then pattren maching then coordinate system.
But it gives error during run time.

This could have any number of causes. Maybe the image size was changed, or the coordinate system did not carry over after an Image Copy, or Image save. More datails would be helpful to make a better determination.

Error 1055 occurred at Property node

Generating the error:
"Error 1055 occurred at Property Node in ... Possible reason(s): LabVIEW object reference is invalid."
when I try to wire the IMAGE OUT output from the IMAQdx Snap vi to the value property of an externally referenced image display control.
To describe in more detail, I have a parent vi with an image display control and a child vi which has a control refnum linked to the parent vi display. In the child vi I create a value property for the refnum and try to write images to it, essentially to drive the parent display from the child vi.
The technique works elsewhere, though I can't think of what I could have done differently to generate this error?

Hi Mike - looks like I may not need to. I've been working away at this and have found the original cause and something else a bit weird...
I deleted the objects from the sub-VI that was giving me errors, then cut and pasted the objects (image display refnum and value property) from a VI that was working and this solved the problem. So you might think that the issue was just some obscure configuration item, or I'd used the wrong type in my reference or something.
I found the display reference in the parent VI was not even wired to the sub VI - duh! Error between keyboard and chair. So at least the original error message made sense, but I have no idea why it actually worked after pasting in the new objects. Are these references using some sort of auto-magic? Who knows. Safer to wire up my sub-VI's properly methinks.

Error 42 occurred at ni_tagger_lv_Write

I am trying to output an IMAQ Image to a network variable. However, when I run the VI I receive the error message "Error 42 occurred at ni_tagger_lv_Write", "Possible reason(s): LabVIEW: Generic error."
Is there some kind of setup I need to perform to get network variables working? All I did was add one to the project and configure it as a variant. As a side note, the program works fine using "single-process" variables as opposed to "network-published" variables.

There is a problem sending certain datatypes to network published Variant Shared Variables. This problem (Error 42) still exists as of LV 8.6.1. See my post here:

Error-1074360293 occured at IMAQdz GetImage.vi

At first, my Labview program acquired 1-5 images and then this error message would pop:
Error-1074360293 occured at IMAQdz GetImage.vi
Possible reasons(s):
NI-IMAQ-dx: (Hex 0xBFF6901B) Time Out
After reading a bit about that error on the forum, I turned down my firewall. Now it goes much better, but the error message still appears from time to time (every 10-200 images depending of the time).
Would someone have an idea to help?

Since you mention the firewall, I am going to assume that you are using a GigE camera.
1. If you are using a network adapter that supports Jumbo Packets, you will need to access the advanced properties tab of the adapter, and turn on Jumbo Packet support.
2. If you do not have a network adapter that supports Jumbo Packets, you will need to configure the camera in MAX to use a packet size <= 1024. 8000 is the default.
3. If you want to not turn off your firewall, and if the camera suports it, you can enable Firewall Traversal. You will need to click on "SHOW ALL ATTRIBUTES" in the Attributes tab, and look under the GeniCAM section.
4. Make sure that any devices between your PC and your camera support jumbo packets as well (routers, switches, etc.)
5. It would be best to use a CAT6 cable directly between the PC and the camera.
