Error Building DBXML-2.5.16 in Solaris 10 (SPARC)

Hi all,
I'm trying to build dbxml-2.4.16 from source in my Solaris 10 machine. Compilation starts well and goes on, but Berkeley-DB build fails with the following error

Hi all,
I have tried using that -xarch=v9 in my build. But, that didn't help me. So, I just though of using the latest BDBXML hoping that it will support me.
I want to build BDBXML-2.5.16 that will be used my two applications (C++ & Java).
C++ Application will create environment, containers and put documents in the containers.
Java Application will read/query the document contents.
My machine details.

  • Solaris adapter: Error building user.

    Hello!
    We are using our IDM to manage users in Solaris Zones. This worked fine, but after moving some zones to a new system, the IDM says it does not find the users any more. When I do a "Accounts / Load from resource", I get the following error for many users:
    Error extracting account 'nobody': com.waveset.adapter.exception.ContinuableIteratorException: Error building user.Does anyone know how to fix this error?
    TIA

    Problem solved: I forgot to change the profile for the user which changes accounts on the system. After editing /etc/user_attr all works fine now.

  • XQilla problem while building dbxml for Visual Studio 6

    I am simply trying to build dbxml 2.4.16 in Visual Studio 6 on XP Pro. I am following the instructions. It fails to to link when it gets to xqilla. It seems to compiile ok then fails while linking saying it cannot open file xqilla21d.lib.
    The only departure from the instructions was after it says the XercesLib.dsp makefile could not be generated by developer Studio and wraps the makefile for XercesLib.dsp and I save that as XercesLib1.dsp. The instructions say to build the XercesLib now, but the next thing that happens after I save XercesLib1.dsp is that it says it couldn't generate the makefile for xqillla and it asks about wrapping the xqulla makefile. The instructions didn't say anything about that. I said yes and it saved xqilla1.dsp then brings up all the classes in the classview. I can build the XercesLib1.exe fine. But then as I go to build all it eventually chokes giving the link error.
    Can anyone offer any help?
    Thanks,
    Curt

    George,
    Thanks for taking the time to reply, though it was pretty discouraging. We have a legacy application that would cost too much to move out of Visual Studio 6. The compile and link process was almost at the end and it seemed only xqilla remained. We only need use dbxml under Visual Studio 6 in order to put xml documents into a database, but we have a stiff requirement for speed so we cant' afford the speed penalty that would come from including a layer like .NET or something. If you think that it won't build under VS 6 anymore I'll try to deal with that. If you think that there is a way to get it to build and then do the minimal function of putting documents into a database, from Visual C++ I'd appreciate to hear any thing else you may have to say.
    Otherwise I'll just see if I can install VS 2003 .NET but not use the .NET and try that, or try Visual Studio 2005, again not using .NET.
    Thanks,
    Curt

    I have an application running and on windows and its is working fine with IE. but when i try to run the application of sun solaris 10 sparc machine with Mozilla 1.7 i get this error.
    What can be the reason and if any body has solved this issue ? please guide me .
    URGENT

    I wouldn't say you made a "mistake". It might be a custom build, but Firefox never had a 1.7 version; skipped from 1.5 to 2.0 in release version numbering.
    The old Mozilla Application Suite had 1.7 as its' last version produced; ended with 1.7.13 in April 2006. That's why I equate "Mozilla web browser (1.7)" with the old Mozilla Suite and not with Firefox.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mozilla_Application_Suite
    Whatever the case, no one should be using a web browser that was produced back in 2006 on the internet in 2014. If that is used completely on an internal intranet, you shouldn't have a problem; beyond finding support for an old version like that.

  • REP-3000: An internal error occured starting Oracle Toolkit Solaris 10 SPARC

    I am running WL 10.3.6.0 with Forms/Reports 11.1.2.1.0 on a Solaris SPARC 10 64-bit box, specifically a T4.
    Brand new install of Solaris 10 with only Forms/Reports installed as the user "oracle".
    When I run rwbuilder.sh I get the dreaded REP-3000 error.  I currently have an SR opened with Oracle but its taking forever and I've scoured the net for many different fixes which do not work.  Forms Builder does work fine however.
    Some things I have checked and/or changes I have made:
    DISPLAY - set properly.  I use ReflectionsX to get to my server, I can run xclock also, I've even tried xhost+.
    I've tried running rwbuilder.sh direct at the console to make sure its not a ReflectionsX issue, same error.
    NLS_LANG=AMERICAN_AMERICA.WE8ISO8859P1
    I've done an ldd on "rwbuilder" to make sure the binary's dependencies were met, all fulfilled with no problems.
    Updated reports.sh:
    REPORTS_DEFAULT_DISPLAY=NO
    DISPLAY=(updated with my direct IP:0.0)
    Relinked reports builder.
    At this point I'm stumped.  Anyone actually have Reports Builder working on a Solaris 10 SPARC box or am I poineering this?  LOL

    REPORTS_DEFAULT_DISPLAY=NO is correct on AIX
    Take a look at http://download-uk.oracle.com/docs/html/B14048_02/pbr_rfap.htm#sthref3930
    To revert to the dependency on DISPLAY and use screen fonts (old font look up algorithm):
    * Set REPORTS_DEFAULT_DISPLAY=NO
    * Remove the screenprinter.ppd entry in the uiscreenprint.txt file.
    * Set the DISPLAY variable to the active X-Windows display surface.

    Hi, just a try:
    "In obsetenv.bat you can specify the proxy to be used for outbound soap/http.
    Make sure it is set if there is a proxy between the bpel server and the webservice you are trying to call."
    In case it works: Thanks to Mark :-)

    Hi GardW
    All comm. problem are handeled.
    The problem was based on the destinations for the .VI's.
    Labview 7.1 isn't so got to manage these. It's something the user got to be carefully about.
    Allmost solved. But now can't get the default 'labview Icon' to my finnished Application.  You know... when you make a stand alone application..
    then somewhere under the building process... you can choose if you want your own Icon added as the application starter icon! If you don't  choose any.. Labview makes the Labview Icon as your application starter Icon.
    And that is my problem now. Any ideas???
    Thanks for trying to help , i appriceate it !!
    Regards HFZ

  • Error building executable

    Error building executable. Unable to create file

    Sinon il faut que tu donnes plus de détails...

    I don't know what I'm missing. I was able to build xombrero last week in another PC with arch. My current system is upgraded:
    Linux 3.11.4-1-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT Sat Oct 5 21:40:32 CEST 2013 i686 GNU/Linux
    I though that installing thg gnutls library would solve the problem, but unfortunately the error persists after gnutls installation
    $ pacman -Ss gnutls
    extra/gnutls 3.2.4-1 [Installiert]
    A library which provides a secure layer over a reliable transport layer

    Python wrapper for the GNUTLS library
    Thanks in advance

    I've edit the former post to write the error messages in English.
    Yes, glib2 is installed, as well as the dependencies mentioned in the aur:
        desktop-file-utils
        libbsd
        webkitgtk3
    It seems that the updated PKGBUILD in the comments is just aimed to create two sepparate packages for xombrero & xombrero3. I'll try it, but I don't think this will fix my problem. As a said, I was able to build xombrero in another Pc a few days ago.

  • "error building executble. unable to create file."

    Hello!
    When I try to run or Build an Pocket PC application i get thes message: "error building executble. unable to create file."
    I have installed:
    LAbview 8
    Microsoft embedded visual c++ 4.0
    Microsoft Pocket PC SDK
    PDA Module 8
    Does anyone have a clue wats wrong?

    The builder is missing the C compiler and the linker from Microsoft for the emulator target.
    On my system they are located in C:\Program Files\Microsoft eMbedded C++ 4.0\EVC\wce420\bin. Check on your computer.
    I couldn't find a place where to set this path (remember: I have 7.1, 8.0 may support this settings, although it's not likely).
