Error - Complex Approval Workflow in OIM

I am trying to configure a complex workflow in OIM.
I have done the following steps to do this :
1. Made the resource a self-requested resource.
2. Created a provisioning task for this resource.
3. Created an approval task with appropriate assignments.
When I try to trigger this workflow, it works fine and the concerned approver gets the notification as well. But when the approver tries to act upon it(Approve/Reject),

Error while RoleApproval Workflow in OIM 11gR2

Hi,
I have created a custom Role Assignment approval workflow. After successfully completing all the steps as per the document, while testing I am getting below error and request is failing right after getting created.
Error:
SEVERE: An error occurred while loading the parent resource bundle oracle.iam.request.eventhandlers.resources.Logging
INFO: Orchestration process moved to failed stage, and the corresponding error is - {0}
oracle.iam.platform.kernel.EventFailedException: An error occurred while initiating approvals for request 213. The corresponding error message is Unable to instantiate the workflow process due to: null.

Complex approval workflow assignments

During provisioning process user selects the organization. The approvals should go to the administrators of the organization. (There are several assigned to each organization)
What are the steps to implement this (approval goes to a group of administrators depending of organization selection by the use)r?
How can i pass variable into a task assingment adapter?
what is Task Assignment Rule? What it should look like?
It looks like approval process can have form attached to it? Is this form will be show to the approver?
What are the steps (tasks) should I implement for this approval workflow?

Send Email Notification to Assignees in Role Approval Workflow in OIM 11g

Hi Experts,
I am using a Custom Workflow for Role Approval in OIM (11.1.1.5.4). It is a two stage Approval Process.
First level Approval is Requester's Manager and Second Level Approver are Role Owners(Two users who are Role Owner in OIM).
I want to send a Email Notification to this Assignees when a request is assignd to them . So i have done Email configurations in SOA. and i am receiving Mail in English.
But, the requirement is the mail's language should be dependent on Locale of these users.
for example if locale of Manager is German then Manager should recieve mail of Request assigned in German Language.
and after manager Accepts the request, Request goes to Role Approvers where we have two User, So mail should go to this two users according to their Respective Locale.
So how can i achive this????

One option would be to create views and then use the oob daily alert for each manager. If the number of managers is too much, then you should consider a custom timer job.
Your suggested approach is possible, but has potential issues in execution. I'd suggest the timer job first.

No approval workflow found error while processing the Bid Invitation

We are working on SRM 5.0 (SP level6). We are able to create the bid invitations successfully from the sourcing cockpit. However while saving the changes in the bid invitations, system shows the error "No approval workflow found". When checked in SWB_PROCUREMENT , no workflow exists for object" BUS2200, Bid Invitation EC"in the standard SRM.
Kindly confirm what is missing...

Use T-code OOCU - Task custamising overview. Then SRM-EBP --> SRM-EBP-WFL then active event linking.
Please activate WS145000026 for automatic approval of bid. or WS145000027 for one step approval of bid invitation.
This will help to solve your problem. IF not please reply me the error.

Hi,
It seems for a particular condition,both the workflows are getting triggered for the event "SC CREATED"..Hence the message...
Please check the start conditions for both the WF's.They should be unique.i.e. Under which case the corresponding worklfow should be triggered should be definate.

I have created a approval workflow (Operational) in OIM11g. Have deployed it as a soa-composite and registered with OIM. Till here everything went fine.
I have created an apporval policy, to assign to requests of a specific type of resource .
When the resource is requested, the approval workflows is gettign triggered,but the request goes to failed state.
I am getting any exceptions in the logs / on the console.
Has anyone encountered this kind of issue.

VickyCheck your SOA server through the em and that should show you your request and the fault states and everything .. that should give you an idea on what is going wrong ...

OIM , Approval WorkFlow Page Error

Dear All,
Kindly if anyone can share some experience on the following issue:
1 - I have IDM 9.1.0.x
2 - To define the approval workflow when I try to open the workflow designer i.e Manage Resources>Manage> select resource ... it shows error page with no error number just a link to IDM admin.
My question is:
1- Could it be due to some issue in connector of the relevant application (MySQL on backend> GTC with Java customized connector)?
2- Or it could be a problem in the IDM system itself related to some configurations, missing installation components.
what should I check to verify if it is some issue with the IDM servers settings?

can you please be a little more elaborated and guide me how to remove this error, when click on the resource instead of opening workflow designer it opens a page with a link to admin, not showing any error just "A system error has encountered" message.

OIM 11.1.1.5 Approval Workflow Issue

Hi,
I have installed OIM 11.1.1.5. While self-registration of a user, the request is created and by default assigned to xelsysadm as the request level approver.
However, when the approver logs in, assigns the organization to the user and approves the request, it is shown that the approval task is completed.
But the request status doesn't change and remains "Obtaining Request Approval" and thus the user is not created in OIM.
In SOA server, on checking the logs (soa_server1-diagnostic.log) we found the following error -

I actually faced the same issue some time back .., it took me almost a week to resolve it ..
This is happening basically due to incompatible version of wsm-policy-core.jar on your server . Please check all the FMW s/f installed on your server . One of them is incompatible with OIM 11.1.1.5.0 .
Are you using BIP 11.1.1.6 by any chance .

Approval workflow error when creating a new custom entity in FIM 2010 R2

i'm hoping somebody here can help, me i've been struggling with this for some time now. On a fresh FIM installation i create a custom entity named "Role" and add a few custom attributes.
I then create an approval workflow and MPR for normal users to create entities of type Role, but another user must approve this request. The other user has a working mailbox - i've tried firing an action workflow that sends a mail notification when someone
creates a new role and it is working fine. But, when i enable my approval workflow (the only field i changed from default is the approver) on the MPR, the workflow always failes with the message:

Please make sure the path is correct. also why .zip, why : at the end why blank space? These could be a problem.

Error when approving the request in OIM 11g R2

I have a catalog item for iPlanet User resource setup to go for beneficiary manager approval. On the approval window, when the manager approves the request, OIM tries to forward to the url /identity/face which throws an generic error saying "identity" page doesnt exist because it doesn't get resolved as hostname.
I have another OIM instance where the popup window just disappears when the approval button is clicked. I'm not sure what the default behavior is. In R1, it used to get a OIM alert box notifying that the request was approved/rejected.
I'm getting these errors in the logs when I approve/reject

I scooped the requests when I hit the approve button, it hits the 302 - Page moved Temporarily

PO Approval workflow error

I customized POAPPRV (PO Approval Workflow) and uploaded it successfully to DB. Now when I try to view the workflow for a new PO it gives following error

I faced the same error just now. it has been fixed by re-loading the wf..

PO Approval Workflow Customization - Save Validation error

Requirement- we needed to modify PO Approval workflow to add item cost under notification as an additional column. In this process I have tried saving the standard PO Approval workflow but when doing validate it throws an error.
I am using Oracle EBS R12.1.3
and Oracle Workflow Version 2.6.3.5
