Error during entering the description

Hi,
I get an error "Field already exists" when i try to enter the description for some of the fields.
When i check there are no fields or descriptions in the repository.
Can anybody please let me know what might be the issue.

Hi Pramod,
This usually happens either because you do have some other field with the same description or else it is due to some discrepancies.
Some times it does happen in this way and so you need to do the following:
- Firstly cross check correctly if there are no other fields with the same description even in any look up or qualified tables.
- Check and Repair the repository for any errors.
- Once you have corrected the errors jsut load the repoository with updated indices.

2 possible problems.
1) tp is using the wrong profile
2) the profile is not complete
For 1, specify the profile when using the tp command e.g. tp connect dr1
pf='/usr/sap/trans/DR1/bin/TPPARAM'
For 2 you need to edit the TPPARAM file and insert the correct values e.g.
DR1/sapevtpath = /usr/sap/$(system)/SYS/exe/run/sapevt or you can add
it into the command line with the -D option
At the command prompt enter 'tp connect' and the help file will be
displayed for that command with the available options

How to generate an application-specific password
Unlike a verification code that you receive from your phone or through Google Authenticator, application-specific passwords are generated. You don’t have to memorize them, ever - you simply generate a new one each time you need to sign into a particular application. Follow the steps below to generate your application-specific password:
Visit the Authorizing applications & sites page (pictured below) under your Google Account settings.
Under the Application-specific passwords section, enter a descriptive name for the application (label 1) you want to authorize, such as "AdWords Editor – Desktop," then click “Generate application-specific password" (label 2).
You'll then see the application-specific password you just created (3). You'll also see the name you wrote in for the device (4) and a link to Revoke (5) -- or cancel -- the code.

Using application-specific passwords

Petstore error after entering the store

I deployed the Petstore app without error to RI. After initially installing the tables, I receive the following error after entering the store:

I solved this by rebuilding the petstore application and deploying the petstore.ear from %JPS_HOME%\src\petstore\build. Even though I got warnings during the deployment, the application seems to run fine.

Hi, we are having trouble restoring a SharePoint 2010 site collection using our DPM 2012 installation. The recovery process goes fine (restore of the database, attach to the sql server, export into WFE's filesystem) and the last phase, the SharePoint import,
seems to end with an exception. We see this in the WssCmdletsWrapperCurr.errlog file:

XI SOAP adapter : Error during parsing the SOAP part

Hello experts,
We have several scenarios SOAP to IDocs.
We are on XI 3.0 SP19, and since 9/6/09 around 4:00 PM GMT, our SOAP channels used to communicate with a specific 3rd party all stoped accepting incoming SOAP requests. All the messages are stucked on third party side, and we get the following error in the defaulttrace and application logs :

It happened at the same time on all the environments for every interfaces using SOAP message from this sender to XI. That's the reason why we think it is a global issue, but we can not find anything concerning this error. Has anybody encountered this error or would have any clue of where it comes from ?

Thanks a lot for your help. Actualy we have tested with SOAP UI yesterday and this is what came out of the tests :
test 1 : we tried to call the XI service with the wsdl and put dummy data inside --> test OK
test 2 : we loaded in SOAP UI one of the file from our partner and tried to call the service --> test NOT OK
test 3 : we realized that there were some blank lines at the beginning of the file provided by the partner. we removed these blank lines --> test OK.
So we first thought that the format of the file sent by the partner was wrong and this is why we were getting the parsing error, because of these blank line. The thing is that these blank lines have always been here ! We have checked with old successful messages and they contain also these lines and if we test them in SOAP UI we get an error also. so it does not seems to come from this.
Moreover, as I said in my previous message, it happened on all the environments approximatly at the same time, so we are suspecting a global problem, but which one ? That's the million dollar question
Would you have any other ideas ?

Getting windows error during running the sql scripts from form 6i

I made a little form application. The purpose of this application is to generate explain plan for a particular SQL. Some sql scripts run internally in order to populate the result on forms screen after pressing the forms button but I am getting windows error during running the sql scripts from form 6i.
I am using forms 6i with patch 17 with Oracle 10G database on windows 2000 professional on same computer.
This application runs fine with 8i.
Please inform me where the problem is and how to overcome it.

First of all I am 100 % learning oracle financial no technical background. When I tried to post a document in MIRO, I am getting the following error "Please Enter the Section Code Business Place" only for the one particular document.
However Business place or Segments are not configured. Even purchase documents are getting posted in MIRO, except the above one. If any one have any suggestions let me know...

Hello,
Business Place & Section code are required to be mentioned in MIRO document for TDS purpose. It could be either determined automatically through substitution rule or the field could be made mandatory through validation.
Business Place is created for TAN registration that your company has, Section Code is created in line with the bUsiness Place.
Section Code derives the Business Place.
Hence its compulsory to mention Sec. Code & Business Place while posting the transactions for TDS.

Let's say that an iPhone is one of the wireless clients that you want to allow access to the network.
The Description of this device is anything that you want to specify for easy identification purposes. For example, the Description might be something like......

The MAC Address, also known as a Wi-Fi Address is a unique indentifiction number that is assigned to every device. The number will always follow this form:
xx : xx : xx : xx : xx : xx, where "x" could be a number or letter.
To find the MAC Address or Wi-Fi Address of an iPhone or iPad.....
On the Home screen.....
Tap Settings

Tap About
Wi-Fi Address is the item that you want
If you have a Mac computer......you can find the MAC Address or Wi-Fi Address as follows:
Open System Preferences (gear icon on the dock)
Open Network
Click on Wi-Fi on the left
Click Advanced at the lower right
The Wi-Fi Address for the Mac is located at the bottom of the window
Other wireless devices usually have the MAC Address or Wi-Fi Address on the label on the back or bottom of the device

Error message "Enter the unit of measure" in WebClient ???

Hello Experts,
We are working on CRM 5.0 SP 7, IC WebClient and have implemented the BAdi "CRM_SERVICEPROD_BADI" to assign a service product ''INVESTIGATION' whenever user selects service ticket in WebClient.
However, when confirming a Business Partner and accessing the service ticket, an error is getting displayed stating "Enter the unit of measure".
We have already mentioned the unit of measure in Product but it seems it is not picking from there.
Please help me to remove this error.

Gerhard is 100% correct. Please make sure that your unit of measures are maintained on the product master(trans COMMPR01).
Use the code below in CRM_PRODUCT_I_BADI to set uom.

    cs_product_i_badi-process_qty_num = 1.
    cs_product_i_badi-process_qty_den = 1.

Also, you will find you get error to specify product quantity. This can be done in badi CRM_SCHEDLIN_BADI with code below.
