  • Errors in DDIC Activation phase during upgrade.

    Hi,
    Title: Errors in DDIC Activation phase during upgrade.
    During preprocessing phase (phase ACT_UPG) we got many DDIC activation errors such as:
    SAPup broke during phase ACT_UPG in module MAIN_SHDRUN / Shadow System Operations: SPDD and Activation.
    DDIC ACTIVATION ERRORS and RETURN CODE in SAPACCI702.CPE
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    1EEDO519 "Data Element" "/BI0/OICH_AT" could not be activated
    1EEDO519 "Data Element" "/BI0/OICREA_TIME" could not be activated
    1 ETP111 exit code           : "8"
    We have searched the SDN, many posts say that we have to just activate them. But my question is where - in source system OR in Shadow system?
    We assumed it is Source system (please correct if it is wrong), unlocked the system and logged in as normal user and tried to activate the Data Element. Now, it says "Search Help /BI0/OICH_AT is not active or contains no parameter".   How to go about it?
    If it is Shadow System, how can i unlock the system?
    Many thanks,
    Mohan.
    Dear Mohan,
    There are search helps configured for the dataelements in ACTUPG.ELG. These search helps were created by mistake by the system.
    The search helps can be deleted manually in the shadow instance.
    In this case you should remove these fields in se11 (in your shadow instance) as the Search help shouldn't exist.
    You should do this step for all data elements shown in the log ACTUPG.ELG:
    For example: SE11 -> /BI0/OICH_AT -> Change -> Tab "Further characteristics"
    1. Goto SE11:
    2. Select Data type and fill "/BI0/OICH_AT" and display
    3. Select the tab "Further Characteristics" and
    4. Remove the values for fields "Name" and "Parameters"
       then click on icon "Activate"
    Please do the same for the other object.
    But before performing above steps you need to unlock the shadow instance by the following command:
    SAPup unlockshd <SID>
    (if using SAPup)
    SAPehpi unlockshd <SID>
    (if using SAPehpi)
    Also do not forget to lock the shadow system again after performing the steps and continuing the upgrade by the following command:
    SAPup lockshd <SID>
    (if using SAPup)
    SAPehpi lockshd <SID>
    (if using SAPehpi)
    You can logon to your shadow system with any different user than DDIC.
    Best Regards,
    Abhishek
  • Need to activate Tables during DDIC Activation Phase
    Hi Experts,
    I am trying to import support packs from SAPKB70009 to SAPKA70011 in a fresh ECC 6.0 IDES Installation. During the DDIC activation phase it got stuck. Request you to please help me with the activation of following tables:
    Table YCRM01_S_BUPM could not be activated
    Table YTEL01_S_BUPM could not be activated
    Table ZICMAG_S_BUPM could not be activated
    When I checked in SE11, the above tables are already active in state.
    I have found one link on forum:
    support package error
    Tried activating RATE component too, but after saving and trying to activate, got following error message:
    TABL YCRM01_S_BUPM was not activated
    Check table YCRM01_S_BUPM (BASIS/31.07.10/14:29)
    Field RATE: Component type or domain used not active or does not exist
    Nametab for table YCRM01_S_BUPM cannot be generated
    Check on table YCRM01_S_BUPM resulted in errors
    I have noticed that the component RATE is containing Component Type PRP_RATE without any definition for Data Type and description. I believe the missing definition here is the source of not able to activate the table here.
    Any suggestions? Please help.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Naresh.
    Edited by: naresh_nmi on Jul 31, 2010 12:22 PM
    Hi,
    I created manually PRP_RATE as data element and gone ahead with the imports of Support Package. DDIC activation phase passed through.
    Regards,
    Naresh.
  • Error Message : "DDIC Activation" when import BI_Cont SP9
    Dear experts:
        My solution manager's edition is 7.0 and use the MS SQL server 2005. The spam is 34. Now I imported the BI_Cont sp9 and occured an error. I found the note 1152612 and used the "Alternative B (modification using the ABAP Dictionary)"
    First import the Support Package and wait until the ABAP Dictionary activation error occurs, that is, you consciously (or unconsciously) wait for the error.
    After the ABAP Dictionary activation error has occurred, the error must then be corrected manually. In transaction SE11, you must correct the inactive structure WRMA_S_RESULT_DATA manually. For the component TCTLSTCHG, replace the component type /BI0/OITCTLSTCHG with the active component type WRMA_DE_TCTLSTCHG. Then manually activate the structure WRMA_S_RESULT_DATA.
    Then import the Support Package.
    As the note says, I enter the txcode se11 and then want to enter  "TCTLSTCHG". However, which blank I could enter? I've entered each of them and don't find out.
    ‧Database table
    ‧View
    ‧Data type
    ‧Type Group
    ‧Domain
    ‧Search help
    ‧Lock Object
    Could any experts tell me the component "TCTLSTCHG" , and then I can change the type to fix the error.
    Thanks.
    Dear AP :
        I've checked the note 1152612 is the closet one can solve the  BI_Cont SP9, and spam and snote are locked because of  DDIC Activation Error. Thanks for your reply.
    Regards
    Arthur
  • Error "Personalization not activated." when trying to set personal
    Hi Everyone,
    Was wondering if anyone has encountered this situation.
    I have a crystal report reporting off of sap bw using bw mdx driver which I view through an iview in SAP portal. When I select the parameter values for a parameter using the picklist, I try to personalize it and I get "Personalization not activated."
    I find that some parameters I am able to personalize, but when I try to view the report again the settings are not kept.
    Is there something I'm doing wrong?
    Thanks,
    Daniel
    Hi Ingo,
    Thanks for the hint, We enabled personalization, but we encountered another issue. It seems that the value that gets stored is invalid.
    i.e.
    I select the value for cost centre.
    The value of the cost centre is [0COSTCENTER].[BTT10000011003] - Accounting
    The value that gets stored for personalization is 0BTT1/11003. I confirmed in the DSO as well that this was the value stored. When I try to run the report using the personalized values I get an database connector error.
    Running the query in rsrt we get the following error Value "0BTT1/11003" for variable "Cost Centre" is invalid.
    Any ideas?
  • Serious Error crashes CS and CS2 when importing XML
    Hello,
    I'm trying to import XML carrying text and images into a 130+ page brochure. I have been working on it for several weeks and have been re importing the XML successfully although something has changed.
    Now when I try to import I get an error message and InDesign closes.
    I've created new blank documents to test it and the initial import works fine. Although after items have been placed and tagged a re import causes an error message to pop up that states: Indesign has discovered a serious error and is shutting down.
    There is nothing that we can see in the code that would cause this. We were trying to overcome a formatting issue and had tweaked the XML. but even after we returned the XML back to its original form we still get an error message. even in new test documents.
    Any ised?
    I don't work with XML, but in my experience, "serious errors" are often caused by bad fonts.
    You might want to try changing the fonts in the code and see if that helps. You should also look through the error logs to see if you can isolate the module causing the problem. There should be a log in the InDesign application root folder, even if there isn't one in Event Manager.
    I am having the exact same issue. Completely unable to import photos of any kind into LR5 from any source. I have been having to import all of my photos into LR4 and then open LR5 to "Copy from another Library", but I think that is a ridiculous step to have to take.
    My workflow is that I copy all photos from my memory card directly to a RAID I have and then I import that folder, in place, into LR. Every time I try to do this, the import window is completely blank. The same workflow I have been using since LR version 1 no longer seems to apply in LR5. I have even tried importing the photos to that same folder directly from the memory card through LR5, but it hasn't worked.
    This really seems like a gigantic BUG that Adobe, somehow, overlooked in their zeal to get LR5 out the door and into consumer's hands. I have tried importing RAW (NEF) files, JPEGS, copying to DNG and nothing seems to work.
    There are tons of features in LR5 that I am using (after the workaround I have laid out) and it is frustrating that I simply can't move forward. I realize that it is a new release, but this seems very basic to me. You should AT THE LEAST be able to import the photos that you are wanting to work on. I just don't know how this release made it.
    Thank you for opening this thread. I also have no XMP files in any of my folders. Not quite sure why that is working for other folks. I have also tried to import directly from my iPhone and iPad with no significant results.
    I am wondering if it may have something to do with the Camera Raw filter that came with LR5? I should try telling LR5 to "Open Photos in Camera RAW 6.0 and later" and see if that helps at all.
  • Error in Web Location path when importing Site Studio Backup Archives
    Hi,
    Webcenter Content version 11.1.1.5.0 running on Linux.
    I have successfully (according to the archive logs) imported two Site Studio Backup Archives: Ravenna Hosting and Site Studio Samples.
    I've not had a problem before with these archive files (installed successfully on my local Windows installation of 11g), but on our DEV server the Web Location path is incorrect.
    Somehow the archive process has introduced the below directory structure:
    /mdaw/mdax/~edisp/
    Example expected location: .../groups/public/documents/wcmwebasset/oracle_logo_15h.png
    Imported location: .../groups/public/weblayout/groups/public/documents/wcmwebasset/mdaw/mdax/~edisp/oracle_logo_15h.png
    - The sites are visible but with broken images
    - The Site Studio Assets can be seen in Site Studio Designer
    - The Web Location path on all content items is incorrect and points to the wrong path
    - Archive has proven to work before (same physical file) and the path information within it appears correct
    Copying the files results in the images appearing but obviously the Web Location defined within the content items is still incorrect.
    Whilst Ravenna Hosting site looks OK after copying the files, the Site Studio Sample site is totally broken.
    Obviously the underlying import issue needs to be resolved - has anyone come across the underlying issue (the insertion of an incorrect directory structure)?
    Has anyone any advice on a solution so I can re-import the archive with the files being written to the correct Web Locations?
    Thanks in advance
    The issue is the result of a new feature introduced in version 11.1.1.4.0 called the 'Dispersion Rule'.
    All legacy archive will hit this in the future release, but there is a work-around documented here: http://blogs.oracle.com/ecmarch/entry/working_with_the_new_fsp_dispe
  • Error 3307 when importing build file in Essbase
    We have a level-based dimension build file, which is a CSV file with 5 fields and some 13,000+ rows. We are getting 75 errors in the .err file when importing the file using a load rule. An extract of the .err file is as follows:
    \\Record #4242 - Incorrect Parent [G] For Member [G4S] (3307)
    C057038317,C057038317 - G4S,G4S,G,Other Accounts,Customer Group,Customer
    \\Record #11502 - Incorrect Parent For Member [UG Ltd] (3307)
    C043678386,C043678386 - UG Ltd,UG Ltd,U,Other Accounts,Customer Group,Customer
    \\Record #11503 - Incorrect Parent [U] For Member [UG Ltd] (3307)
    C044178034,C044178034 - UG Ltd,UG Ltd,U,Other Accounts,Customer Group,Customer
    I have double checked the existing members and there are no duplicate member names / conflicts here. Can anyone please suggest what the issue might be? I found a similar post at the below but this was not fruitful:
    Incorrect Parent Error during Dimension build type "Add as child of"
    This typically means the member was added to the outline already to another parent either prior to the dimension build or within the dimension build and in your dimension build settings you do not allow moves of members.
    For example your member G4S If you look in your outline, I'll bet you find it (either as a member name or alias) and its parent is not "G"
  • ITunes 6.0.1.3 crashes often when importing cds -- help!
    I just installed iTunes 6.0.1.3 for the first time on my PC since I have it already on my iMac. It crashes fairly consistently when importing CDs. It seems basically useless on my Windows machine.
    My import settings are:
    320kbps/VBR-highest/normal stereo
    I have a clean Windows XP machine, no viruses, no malware.
    Is there any reason this can be happening besides iTunes being a POS on Windows?
    thanks
    I've determined that iTunes has to be the topmost active window when importing, otherwise it will crash consistantly. And I though Microsoft was bad...
    iTunes for the Mac works fine though.
  • DRM Activation Error "Number of activations exceeded" (Android reader)
    I received this error "Number of activations exceeded" when entering in my Adobe ID in my Android device.  I have owned several Android phones and tablets and probably have activated on all of them over the years.  How do I reset the activations?  Thank you.
    It is a vicious cycle.  I spoke with two different people by phone (no chat is available that I could find, nor an email address0.  The first person said they could not help after keeping me on the phone 20 minutes.  I called again and after speaking to two people, my "case" was referred to the Diginal Editions department and someone will contact me within 24-48 hours.  No contact so far 30 hrs later.  This seems to be a frequent issue according to these forum comments, but Adobe does not seem very customer sensitive or efficient in resolving these fairly simple issues.
