Error in DB rollback/SyFlush, return code 000256
Hi friends
I have a problem with new instalaction over windows 2008 R2 and database DB6, the system sometimes is hang with error " Error in DB rollback/SyFlush, return code 000256", when check me the service of DB2 is down.

How to solve: DB-Connect Failed, Return Code 000256 ?

My operation system: Win2003 server
database: SQL Server 2000 SP1
Because of my database error, I have restore database from backup, now the database has started normally, but when I start SAP, in SAP management console, there syslog show error as: DB-Connect Failed, Return Code 000256.
Then I go to F:\usr\sap\QAS\DVEBMGS00\work to see dev_w0, find the error as follow:

Hi Friends,
I have installed ides ECC 6 on oracle 10g on windows 2003 server.Now I am unable to start SAP console. While starting the disp+work getting ended. I found form the log that the DB connect failed return code 000256 in dev_disp.

We would like to update the data of our Development system so we tried to do "homogeneous system copy" from our Production system. The problem is that now when we are trying to start SAP on our DEV system the disp+Work process stops and we are getting the following errors in syslog:
SAP-Basis System: Message server disconnected
SAP-Basis System: Initialization DB-Connect Failed, Return Code 000256
The system we are using is:
ECC 6.0
Windows 2003
Oracle database

We are trying to Update the Org Structure in ECC which is typically used for the MM Processes.
When ever we are trying to update the BP or create a new BP for Few Specific Company Codes we are receiving the below error
Error: insertion of infotype 1000 (return code 2).
SImilary we also see this error as well

Satyathe problem you mentioned here is not the whole problem in my opinion, so let me take a few assumptions and you tell me if some/all of em are correct or alternately you put in more detail in your query.. ok?
well here goes:
1. you mentioned BP which is a business partner object but you did not talk about hcm at all so am assuming sap hr has not been implemented at all in your sap box... right/
2. then the infotype 100 and insert error is the least of your worries if the above point is correct.
3. then you also have some nominal positions in your sap box to support your logistics process...
4. and then I am taking a wild guess here --> you are trying to have a relation between a position and bp objects directly ...
well I may be totally off the rocker in the above but what you need to tell us could be :
1. explain the business process.
2. then we talk about how you are doing the business process in sap (is hr implemented or not? if yes to what extent etc...) and dont limit this point to logistics,.. cover the whole gamut of how you are doing it in sap today and am sure it spans across hcm and logistics
3. then, a bit more info on what you were trying to do in a step by step fashion,... and where exactly you are encountering the error,.. --> the reason am asking for this is --> in my expereince I have seen a lot of logistics guys who are gurus intheir areas of expertise but you talk sap hr they are like babies,.. and the vice versa is also true,.. so if you are not able to explain point 2 above in full this point will give the complete technical picture.

Make sure that all the tasks whith in the request are released and they are in active state as well. Discuss with the owner of the CR and check all the objects are in active state and all the tasks are released. You can check with the logs as well to het more clues.

when I try to delete or edit any DBA Job in transaction DB13 the following error is displayed:

How can I fix this error and delete or change my DBA jobs?

Error in phase IMPORT_PROPER TP_BUFFER_INCONSISTENCY return code 8

When applying add on programs ST-PI version 2008-1-700 (SAPKITLRDA) with transaction SAINT the TP_BUFFER_INCONSISTENCY error occured during the IMPORT_PROPER phase.
Error message: Pkgs. in queue don"t exist in the tp buffer (e.g. SAPKITLRDA)
It is not possible anymore to reverse the job as the data has already been loaded into the database. I checked the various messages in OSS and internet but could not find a solution for this problem. I only found an indication which could help solve the problem but I see that as a rigorous one.
That one is:
In our case it was due to probelm in transport buffer.I manually resetthe buffer using the following steps,
In Se37,Use the function module OCS_RESET_QUEUE -> Single Test
with the parameters
IV_TOOL&H3DSAINT, IV_FORCE&H3DX
Deleted all the files from \usr\sap\trans\tmp.Please make sure thatthere is no TP process
or R3trans process running in the system at Operating system level.
If any process exist, Please kill the process.
Scheduled the program RDDIMPDP using Report RDDNEWPP in se38.
Then restarted the import again and the problem was solved.
Before I want to do to carry out above action I would like to get guidance and advice if this problem would help solve my problem.
My release information is:
SAP ECC 6.0 - MSSQL Windows XP
Kernel 700 patch level 114
I am using the latest version of the SPAM/SAINT tool (version 34).

ToonI contacted SAP marketplace at the same moment I created this message and that really worked.
Thanks to the diligent SAP support I was able to complete the import of the support package.
This also means and that was confirmed by SAP that the usage of function module: OCS_RESET_QUEUE was not the solution of the problem. Basically it means that you need to contact SAP for help in those kind of situations.

check SAP Note 403708 - Changing an IP address and make sure there are no space, special characters in the hostname.

Run Config Tool and change DB connection settings there in Secure Store. Update admin/host & jdbc/Url properties wherever you find the old host name. Then save the changes and restart the cluster.

Transport error (Return code 12)
Hi All,
I recently migrated dataflows from 3.5 to 7.
When I try to transport a transformation (between a DSO to cube) and its DTP, I am getting a transport error (short dump) ASSERTION_FAILED with Return code 12. Has anyone faced this problem before? Any suggestions are appreciated.
I have transported so many migrated dataflows before but never faced this problem before. There is nothing really special about this transformation and DTP. So I am unable to understand what the problem might be.
