Error in FINSERV EHP4 upgarde

Hi All,
I have to upgrade EA-FINSERV 600 to 604.Prior to this i upgraded FINBASIS and SEM-BW to 604 including all the dependcies like,
APPL -604,SAP_BASIS etc.
While generatin the XML from solution manager i was not able to see any package for finserv 604,the used the old stack xml which was used for finbasis and sem-bw and intrestingly it worked before it stucked in ddic activation step.
*"View TRSV_DFLOWTYPE could not be activated"*
Please help me in resolving this issue.
Secondthing i also tried to use ehpi,but in extraction step it was asking password of SYSTEM user.Since it was not installed by me so i don't have any idea.can anyone suggest me how can i retrive password of SYSTEM user.

Try to manually activate the view.
use sqlplus :
sqlplus / as sysdba
ALTER USER SYSTEM IDENTIFIED BY <new_password>;

We are facing below error in MAIN_SWITCH/JOB_RSVBCHCK_D :
Error: RFC of "subst_start_bacthjob" failed
key: RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE
message: Logon not possible (error in license check)
We tried to troubuleshoot this problem and we tried following things:
1) Tried to login with SAP* user in client 000 but it is not allowing us to logon.
2) Tried to insatll license from OS level but as it is ECC6.0 and having digitally encypted licnese key. So, we are not able to install license at OS level.
3) At a time only one instance is coming up in both shadow instance and cenrtal instance.

Hi Sunny,
I think, your message server cannot detect the hardware key. Please check your dev_ms file in shadow instance directory.
Check your services file:
sapmsSHD<SID> 36<SYSNR>/tcp exist or not.

while i was applying EHP4 to my ERP6.0 system using Enhancement Package Installer i got the following error in the Downtime roadmap:

Hello Waseem,
I would recommend to update to the latest disp+work but also check in sm21 and find the work process that encountered the error. Then see in the corresponding work process trace file dev_w* for the real error that occured.
e.g. If you see ERROR => RFC Signon> Failure in ab_MakeTicketSndExternal calling
check note 1532825
and the report RS_TT_CLEANUP_SECSTORE

Iam facing the below error while doing the EHP4 upgrade , in downtime phase.
Checks after phase MAIN_SWITCH/STARTSAP_TRANS were negative!

Hi,
Upgrade tool is trying to start the system but system is not coming up. Try to start system manually and see if system comes up or not. If not then check logs in work directory for why system is not coming up.

I tried to follow the instructions in note 1269960, but the enhancement spot
CLASSIFICATION_TOOL was already active. I activated it again and reran the phase
but got the same error. Also, I couldn't implement the note using SNOTE because it is
the middle of the upgrade process.
I also found the following long text in ST22
"Internal error during syntax check: ("//bas/710_REL/src/krn/gen/scsymb.c#11"
Processing had to be terminated because an internal error
occurred when generating the ABAP/4 program
"CL_CLS_BADI_CHARACTERIZATION==CP".
The internal system error cannot be fixed by ABAP means only."
I am on a 64 bit System with CentOS Linux. 8 GB RAM, 250 GB HD with 20 GB free space.
So far, I could not find any information on this. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Victor,
Go to SM37 and put in the username as DDIC and see the job log.
Also check Sm50 and see whether you have BTC processes available.
Last but not the least check your filesystem space usage too.

This is caused by a missing security patch:
Note 1402510 - Resolving SideBySide Assembly Errors
which finally points to
Note 1375494 - SAP system does not start after applying SAP kernel patch
Install the security patch from that note.

MaxDB 7.8 error upgrading from EHP4 to EHP5

I'm upgrading ECC600 from EHP4 to EHP5 (ramp-up release) in a Maxdb 7.8 and Linux Suse 11 environment.
The source release have an 7.01 kernel.
With sapehpi, in the phase PREP_INTEGRATION/TABSPC_PREP, I have an error in GDBSSHD.LOG file:
TPERR- error in dbdd_get_size: 2
TPERR- msg: POS(60) Unknown column name:OWNER
Accordingly with notes 1142632 and 1447663, I installed the new 7.01 kernel (version 117) without changes.
I copied also the new dbsdbslib.so file in the installation directory, but there are no changes.
Any suggestion?

Unfortunatelly, after the correction, I try to restart the SAPehpi and in the PREP_INTEGRATION/TABSPC_PREP phase I had another similar error; in the TABSPCP.LOG file there are this message:

Error message after iTunes upgarde

I just upgraded iTunes to 9.0.2 but now when I try to open it, I get the following error message: "The file "iTunes Library" cannot be read because it was created by a newer version of iTunes."
Everything worked well until I upgraded. This message is confounding since to my knowledge there is no newer version than 9.0.2???

Well, I thought that the iTunes upgrade had something to do with my inability to burn CDs. I can't say for sure that was the case but I do know that what fixed my problem (if you can believe this) was installing the QuickTime update. I'm thinking that the iTunes update corrupted something, but installing the QT update corrected the problem. Now I can burn with no problems whatsoever. You may want to give it a try.

EHP4 is released but can not be downloaded

The EHP4 link is active in marketpack and solution manager. When I tried to download it, here is the message. I am not sure it is because SAP hasn't finished the upload. Maybe I moved too fast?

Error in a client 8.81

In a first time I have upgrade SAP from 2007 to 8.81 on th server and all is ok.
After I have installed Sap 8.81 on a customer client, and I have an error.
I have upgarde/installed 15 client and all is ok, only on this I retrieve the error
After installation, when I have to choose company DB, I retrieve an error: 'Errore durante la definizione dei
parametri di sicurezza;l'algoritmo di crittografia non è supportato' (only in Italian, i'm sorry but I can't change
the Sap language).

Remove SAP Client Setup from Local Machine and the re install it once again.
Do not forget to load all the pre requisites required for a client setup installation........

we are on SP13 / EP 7 ..we have created sites using WPC and when we try to trasnport with GUIDSs we got to know that SP13 does not suport GUIDs ..so i have deplyoed SP14 WPC abd the interfase looks differnt and it gives erros ..again i undeployed the SP14 WPC and deployed the SP13 WPC , after that interfase looks ok but we are getting an error in when we try to edit pages through WPC..

Migrating from NCS 1.0 to Prime Infrastructure 1.2

Hi friends
I know i had short discussion about this before but here it comes again and this time in detail.
I have NCS 1.0 with 100 devices support license installed. Now knowing it has reached end of sale, and also for the fact that Prime does cover devices like routers, i went ahead to the upgrade path via PUT (Product Upgrade Tool).
Finally I received an email (OBA) advising my order is ready. This email included two items in the shipment,
L-N-PI12-100-M=
NCS 1.0 to Prime Infrastructure 1.2 Minor Upg 100 Device
L-PILMS42-100-M
Prime Infrastructure LMS 4.2 - 100 Device Upgrade Lic
When i click to the link in the same email to download the license, it only shows me one file which is
L-PILMS42-100-M
I tried using this file and installing on the NCS1.0 but it gives me error that this file is not a license file. The license name suggests me that it is not the license to be installed on the NCS. The file should be L-N-PI12-100-M=

when i followed the inpath upgrade, i receved an email from the licensing that the license file is ready for download. the order said,

and the attached lic file "LMS2013021XXXXXXX.lic" came along from them.
but when i installed that lic file, i got the error message from the upgarded the PI 1.2 that the file is not a license file.
The trouble is i cannot generate another lic file (if the exsting generated file was corrupt) cos the PAK is already been used once.
Now i am wondering i can avail that LMS file that would be good, but when i spoke to the TAC, i was told that this file name doesnt seem correct as this is PI and it wont understand LMS file. It was only useful if you were upgraing from LMS to PI and because my case was NCS to PI, this will not work.
Any suggestions?

ORACLE BAM 10.1.3.4 PATCH UPGRADE

We are trying to install BAM 10.1.3.4 patch on existing 10.1.3.3.While running the patch after taking backup and stopping IIS ,the following error is returned....

Error in IS_INIT phase while applying EHP4

We are getting following error in IS_INIT phase while applying EHP4.

Last error code set: Component 'PI' not found
I have checked in SAINT but i m not able to find PI component but still it's looking for PI comp. info while upgrading
Please guide us.

Error during upgrade from sap R3 4.7 ext 110 to ERP6 EHP4

Dear all
we doing an upgrade in test server to ERP6 with EHP4,source release is sap Entreprise 4.7 110.We have copied all the required DVDs to the server .During the configuration phase while giving the EHP package we got the error.
