Error in FPM Application / View Editor
Hi!
I am trying to use the FPM Application Editor and got the following error:
<br/><br/>
<i>error. java.lang.NullPointerException at com.sap.xss.config.PcdNamingUtil.removePcdPrefixFromId(PcdNamingUtil.java:22) at com.sap.xss.cfg.edt.FPMApplicationEditor.doInit(FPMApplicationEditor.java:552) at com.sap.xss.cfg.edt.wdp.InternalFPMApplicationEditor.doInit(InternalFPMApplicationEditor.java:430) at...</i>
<br/><br/>
I could solve this by following this Thread:

Re: Error in FPM Application

But not I get two new errors in the FPM Application Editor and FPM View Editor.

FPM Application Editor:

I am also facing the same problem.
Getting the error "com.sap.tc.webdynpro.progmodel.controller.MessageManager$AbortMessageManagerException "

Kindly Let me know how did you solve the problem?

Edited by: Vijay Krishna Meda on Aug 20, 2009 2:06 AMHi,
That is common error message thrown by FPM Framework.
Even if your backend is down, or any errors in jco's will also throw this type of error.
So in infuture if you see the simillar issue then no need to become tense just check all of them.

How do I create event links in the FPM Application Editor?
I'm am attempting to add a new step to the roadmap of ESS/BEN Benefits Application. I've created a new VAC component and a corresponding view (using the "self-service administrator" role).
When using the FPM Application Editor to create a new perspective, I need to add an event link but receive the error, "Either the perspective "Smoker Verify" has no view assigned to it or none of the view(s) assigned have any event assigned to them".
How do I assign events to my new view? Please assist and thanks in advance.
-Jeff Karls-I see that the events are defined on the views themselves in the portal content.

PS: I also found some error when validate the SampAp application view, so I've changed it a little. I don't know if the application view design may cause this problem. Thanks for your reply.Hi,
From another post which I think relates to same sort of issue the solution was :-
On your server > Change your "Standards and formats" into English(United States) in "Regional and Language Options".
This was due to the currency format being in chinese.

Application Viewer Deployment Problem - War File Path Error
Hello all!
I just installed a new CC&B demo environment (2.2SP6 on Apache/Windows) and the application viewer is not working at all. The first thing it does is throw a bunch of errors, such as
source file does not exist data/tables/updated.xml
source file does not exist data/maintobj/updated.xml
source file does not exist data/alg/updated.xml
source file does not exist data/batchContro/updated.xml
Then the App Viewer shows the following:
Data Dictionary Not built - submit F1-AVTBL
Maint. Object Not built - submit F1-AVMO
Algorithm Not built - submit F1-AVALG
Batch Control Not built - submit F1-AVBT
To Do Type Not built - submit F1-AVTD
Service XML Built 2008-04-14 (15:40)
Java Docs Built 2008-04-16 (08:43)
Cobol Source Built 2008-04-14 (10:22)
Manually submitting one of those throws this error:
File path to WAR file and location to expand WAR file are required if Use War File is switched.
Anyone seen anything like this?
Edited by: Adam D. on May 25, 2010 1:43 PMThat worked! Thank you so much. App viewer loads now and all the F1-* items show as built. Only problem now is all the CM xml files seem to be missing. Every time you click something in app viewer it throws an error such as:
Source file does not exist data/maintobj/ENG/CM/ext_BATCHCNTL.xml
This is just one of them. There are many, and they all exist in that same CM directory... which doesnt exist haha
Thanks again for the advice! -

How to modify a VAC in a standard FPM Application
Hello All,
I have a requirement in the project where I have to modify the standard SAP delivered FPM application. But this does not involve any creation of new webdynpro iview , but to modify a VAC in the application. It is related to essbensap.com, where I ahve to modify the VAC VcBenifitsPlanSelection.
Ploblem comes when I try to modify the implementation code of the view PlanSelectionView. It says:
Checkout is not possible. See below for details.
The operation requires the writeability of the following Objects:
View com.sap.xss.hr.ben.planselection.PlanSelectionView
======>problem: DTR workspace is not modifiable /DN1_XSS_D~ess~ben~sap.com/src/packages/com/sap/xss/hr/ben/planselection/PlanSelectionView.wdview.xlf
======>problem: DTR workspace is not modifiable /DN1_XSS_D~ess~ben~sap.com/src/packages/com/sap/xss/hr/ben/planselection/PlanSelectionView.wdcontroller
======>problem: DTR workspace is not modifiable /DN1_XSS_D~ess~ben~sap.com/src/packages/com/sap/xss/hr/ben/planselection/PlanSelectionView.wdview
My question is :
Is is possible to modify the standard VAC (VcBenifitsPlanSelection). If so, then my NWDI does not allow me to do so.How to solve this error message?
Is there any other way to solve this requirement, without any configuration issue?
Please help, as the requirement is very urgent.
Thanks,
Sonali.Hi Sonali,
make sure have proper auths for NWDI.

Error when open Resouse Viewer form NEBC
Hi experts,
I facing a error when opening Resouse Viewer from NWBC.
Could you kindy provide some ideas or suggestiongs, Thanks in advance.
Best Regards,
Matthew HeHello,
the SAP Visual Business frontend component requires the FPM application to run in a browser mode 'standard'. You can press F12 in your browser to adjust this.
Check note 1987004 to adjust the default mode for the application.
In addition, it is important to check the SAP VB installation guide for the right NWBC and browser version.
Hope this helps,

Move Group in Application Defenition Editor
Hi,
I'm busy with a little PoC and I try to change the sequence of my screens/Groups via the Application Definition Editor (JHeadstart_10131_26) I encountered two problems, however moving Groups normally did not cause any problems before! My problem was reproducible and might be due to the significant number of Foreign Key relations in the database?
Problem 1:
Generated a First-Cut application and all menu (Tabs) navigations worked fine. Navigations did NOT work correctly anymore for the (new) first Group, up to the previous first Group (!) after moving the First Group below any other Group.
Problem 2:
The 'Tabname' properties of the affected Groups did not correlate anymore with the Displayed names. So, wrong screen where displayed when a Tab was selected.
Solution:
- Moved all Groups to the desired position, except the first Group;
- Regenerated the application and faced again problems with Tabname properties. Changed ALL ‘Tabnames‘ in the Application Definition Editor (had to be done anyway), applied changes and regenerated the application;
- Everything looked/functioned normal. Moved first Group down, regenerated and tested. No errors…
I did NOT encounter this problem/behaviour before with any “How to” example or other little application. Please explain this behaviour and it’s no problem to mail my application if your Team would like to reproduce it.
Greeting,
Michael KreuwelSteven,
I’ll try if this problem occurs when I generate a First-Cut application based on the HR schema, but I used this version of JHeadstart and JDeveloper for several ‘how to’ instructions, also using HR… However I easily managed to find a solution for all oddities, I did have two other strange problems:
· Resource Bundles where emptied when they where opened in the editor and the Jheadstart Generator did not stop anymore (waited 10 minutes) It was clear that de Resource Bundles where processed based on de OC4J Server Log. Solution: close Resource Bundles, rebuild View project. I thought this was only relevant in case of Java Classes?!?
· I could not regenerate my application after adding a Static Domain (reproducible) with EL statement to retrieve Entries from the Bundles. No problems occurred when the first Static Domain was immediately applied to one or more items!
I’ll report the result with HR and my offer that I can send you the case stands. It’s a small data model (< 10 tables) I finished my PoC almost, so these problems are not blocking.
Greetings,
Michael -
Here is a ticket regarding our current client web application ( Image data add, edit , delete in folder with form data in MSSQL Database) that using code c#, web form, ajax, VS2008, MSSQL Server2008 , it appears that there is an error where the HTTP
503 error occurs.
. Below is a conversation with Host Server support assistant. Can you take a look at it?
Ben (support) - Hi
Customer - We're having an issue with our windows host
Ben (support) - What's the issue?
Customer - 503 errors
Ben (support) - I am not getting any 503 errors on your site, is there a specific url to duplicate the error?
Customer - no, it comes and goes without any change Customer - could you have access to any logs ?
Ben (support) - Error logs are only available on Linux shared hosting, however with this error it may be related to you reaching your concurrent connections
Ben (support) - You can review more about this at the link \
Customer - probably yes - how can we troubleshoot ?
Ben (support) - http://support.godaddy.com/help/article/3206/how-many-visitors-can-view-my-site-at-once
Ben (support) - This is something you need to review your code and databases to make sure they are closing the connections in a timely manner
Customer - we're low traffic, this is an image DB to show our product details to our customers
Customer - ahhhh, so we could have straying sessions ?
Ben (support) - Correct Customer - any way you could check if it's the case ?
Customer - because it was working previously
Ben (support) - We already know that's the case as you stated the 503 errors don't happen all the time if it were issue on the server the the 503 would stay.
Customer - so our 2/3 max concurrent users can max out the 200 sessions
Customer - correct ?
Customer - is there a timeout ?
Ben (support) - no that's not a time out concurrent connections are a little different then sessions and or connections. Lets say for an example you have 5 images on your site and 5 7 users come to your site this is not 7 concurrent connections but 35. They
do close after awhile hence why the 503 error comes and goes. You can have these connections close sooner using code but this is something you have to research using your favorite search engine
Customer - thank you so much
Customer - I'm surprised that this just started a few weeks ago when we haven't changed anything for months
Customer - any changes from your side ? lowering of the value maybe ?
Customer - I'm trying to understand what I can report as a significant change
Ben (support) - We haven't touched that limit in years
Ben (support) - This could just be more users to your site than normal or even more images
Customer - I was thinking that could be it indeed
Customer - so I need to research how to quickly close connections when not needed
Ben (support) - Correctly
Ben (support) - correct
Customer - thanks !!
Ben (support) - Your welcome
Analysis :
The link provided tells us : All Plesk accounts are limited to 200 simultaneous visitors.
From what Ben (support) says and a little extra research, if those aren't visitors but connections then it's quite easy to max out, especially if the connections aren't closed when finished using. I'd suggest forwarding this to Kasem to see what he thinks.
Cheers,
CustomerHi Md,
Thank you for posting in the MSDN forum.
>>
I want to writte C# code for 503 Service Unavailable error to web application page immediate close connection any page loaded.
Since
Visual Studio General Forum which discuss VS IDE issue, I am afraid that you post the issue in an incorrect forum.
To help you find the correct forum, would you mind letting us know more information about this issue? Which kind of web app you develop using C# language? Is it an ASP.NET Web Application?
If yes, I suggest you could post the issue directly on
ASP.NET forum, it would better support your issue.
Thanks for your understanding.

Office web apps "Server error in '/wv' Application"
Hi, I successfully installed office web app for sharepoint 2013. However, when I tried to open documents, it shows the preview but once view/edit in browser, I got this error. What seems to be the problem?
Server error in '/wv' Application.
Unable to determine zone from requestHi ,
According to your description, my understanding is that you encountered the error “Server error in '/wv' Application. Unable to determine zone from request” when you open document using Office Web Apps.
Are you using https:// to access the Office Web Apps server? Is the default zone of your web application in Alternate Access Mappings using http:// ?
If so, you can change the default zone
of your web application in Alternate Access Mappings to use https:// .
Or set AllowOAuthOverHttp to true:
$config = (Get-SPSecurityTokenServiceConfig)
$config.AllowOAuthOverHttp = $true
$config.Update()

Problem with Application definition Editor
Hi All,
the problem is that when the application definition contains Arabic text (e.g. in Labels region) the Application definition Editor didn't open and i got the following error:
"Application Structure File appears to be in an invalid state"
also i couldn't run the JHeadStart generator
any one have an idea about this problem
thanks in advancei found that the JHeadStart 10.1.3.2 application editor didn't write the version & encoding line in the application definition file (e.g. <?xml version = '1.0' encoding = 'windows-1256'?>)
so it can't opened the application definition file if it has Arabic Text and didn't run the JHeadStart generator
so is there exist any why to enforce the application definition editor to write the encoding line ??? -
